The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*The remaining X-Men who have not been captured by Fusionist and his men have spread word throughout New York City to all mutants for a meeting in an abandoned church in downtown Manhatten.*
(Any and everyone, who obviously haven't been captured, can post here. All should know about the kidnappings happening around the city, but none except the people who live in the mansion would know who is behind them.)

Kilala came into the abandoned church and saw that it hadn't been used in many years. There were cobwebs on everything, broken pews, and dust lining everything. She walked up to the alter and started setting up a microphone so they could explain to everyone what was going on. After that, she dragged the heavy speakers and recievers up to the alter as well.
"You think a lot of people will come?" she asked, turning to the X-Men who were with her? They had come about 40 minutes early to make sure they could ensure safety to the mutants who were coming and of course to set up for the meeting.
Ira did not sleep well, he tossed and turned in his nightmares, and the piece of hobo he was eating rolled away somewhere. He was having that nightmare again, the one about the pink teddy bears. So many of the soft and fluffy little S.O.B.'s, all crowding round him, cooing at him and telling him they loved him. The horror... He woke up in a cold sweat, looking around in case some of them had followed him from the dream. Those things gave him the creeps, they are just too good, sickeningly sweet and lovely. He shuddered.
Becoming aware of his surroundings again he noticed some voices. "Hey you know the kidnappings of all those mutants?" "Yea? What about them? My dad was one of them who got napped." "There's a meeting in the old abondond church down the street. I'm sorry to hear about your dad man. Lets go see if we can help out."
<Hmm,> thought Ira, <So someone's been kidnappin' mutants aye?> He got up and collected his things. 'His things', were his hat and the pair of skulls that he'd collected the night before. He smiled at the slimey feel of the skulls on his fingers: they were still fresh since being part of the living.
Ira made slightly larger holes where the ears were, and threaded his belt through the two skulls, securing them in place by his side. Ira checked once more to make sure they were secure and comfortable, then set off down the street to the church.
As he approached the church, Ira could clearly see that it was indeed, very much abondoned. There were cracks in the stonework, there were a few odd holes in the walls, the paint was almost all gone, and there was dust and cobwebs all over the place. It seemed somewhat eerie to him, and he found that quite appealing. He pushed open the large wooden door, which creaked feebly, and walked in and telekinetically pulled up a large brick from the floor -which he sat on- and turned his attention to the people at the front. He observed them for awhile before any of them got the nerve to go up to him and introduce themselves.
((OOC: His attributes are in Axels attribute thread, and they include high intimidation, amoung other noticeable traits. Also, if your character has met Axel before, they will recognise Ira as he because Ira has the same body. He has a set of large slash scars across his face, is wearing a trenchcoat, and has a couple of fresh human skulls on his belt. And his eyes are blood red.))

A breeze blew throughout the entire church, bringing a mixture of leaves into the steeple. Through the door walked a group of three mutans, all of which had wolf like features.
The eldest one, who led the group had a lond face with grey hair tied up in a small bun. He had a white wolf tail with green almond shaped eyes. His skin showed clear signs of his ancient indian ansestary, but a small tatoo on his arm had the shape of a moon on it.He had a small thing bladed sword in the sheath on his back. His coat was wrapped tightly around him, filled with holes as well as the rest of his clothing.
The next one was the youngest whom looked eagerly around the room, had rusted colored wolf ears with a wolf tail and wolf feet that poked through her tattered sneakers. She had red eyes and had the same tatoo on her upper arm. She had sort of brownish skin of indian ansesctory She had dark brown hair that stayed upon her shoulders she also had a green jacket on.
The last one did not look happy to be there, she had cream colored skin with jet black wolf ears and a tail. Her eyes where a light shade of pink and her hair was a shade of orange. Her canines stuck dangerously out of her mouth as she let out a small growl when the younger one was about to ask a question. She made the youngling turn away quickly. The woman wore no shoes, low cut pants and a crop top shirt, an interesting choice for a mutant.
The older woman turned to the old man with Hatered in her eyes. "Whiteclaw why do we have to help these outsiders? We should have stayed back in the forest where we belong." She growled menacingly.
"Because," The older male stated in a strong tone, "We where asked for help by an old friend."
"I dont care! These are not out clanmates so it is not our concern." She growled again.
"Sunset calm down. We Where asked to come so we will help and then leave." Whiteclaw soothed leading the fuming girl down to sit in a chair.
The little wolf girl finally spoke up. "Cousin, be nice to the non wolves."
The older woman looked at the 10 year old for a second before pulling her in her lap. "I Will Crimmy, I will.'
The event would soon start but in the meantime, people could move around and talk to thier fellow mutants.
"Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am."
Ira glanced sideways to see who had arrived. They were a group of wolf people, he studied them with fascination. He'd never seen such beings, and longed to know more about their history and biology. Whether they were mutants or not, he could not tell. After bickering for a moment, they sat down in one of the few chairs that hadn't fallen apart.
Ira noticed something irritating about sitting on a block of stone, it has no back. He reached behind him and slapped the stone and it reshaped to his will, shifting as though it were wet clay in someone's hands, and stretched out into the form of a small throne.
Leaning back, Ira relaxed, and continued to watch the wolves, as there was nothing else to do yet. There was an adult male and two females; one adult and one child who looked to be about 10 or something. The young wolf girl was looking around, and spotted him over in his corner looking at them. He smiled and waved. <Got to play nice, for now> thought he.

There Was a loud raw of an engine out side the church as kaine pulled up outside. Kaine strolled to wards the heavy church doors he pushed hard against them to open them and entered the church "Sorry I'm late I got a bit rapped up in Training" he announced. Walking to wards the altar and the other Xmen.
Kaine was not wearing his xmen uniform but his street clothes of combats a shirt and his trusty leather jacket.
Kaine pulled out a cigarette and lit up before leaning against a pillar and waiting for the meeting to start
He looked around the room his eyes clamping on the man sat in the stone throne Atticus looked at his belt and saw the two skull. Something seemed familiar then it struck him on the news this morning the two dead without there heads
Kaine stood up strait and pointed at the mutant "Oi your the one who killed the two humans aren't you and removed there skulls" He bellowed across the hall his cigarette held in his mouth he strolled over and stood in front of him " Well you going to answer me." Kaine said in a rather threatening manner as usual he had his pistol in the back of his trousers and a blade in his boot.
Kaine knew he was being a hypocrite because he had killed that man and that he should have disposed of the gun along time ago at the same time he disposed of the body but he hadn't he had kept it he didn't know why he just had but what this mutant did to those people was out of order.
Ira glanced a moment at the man as he walked to the end of the church, then turned back to watch the wolf people.
Then the man bellowed out to him and strolled over. He seemed to be challenging him to fight for justice on behalf the two people whose skulls now hung beautifully at Ira's belt. ((OOC: I'm open to suggestions about saying that sentence better, it was difficult to word. Actually, I'll be straight forward - please tell me how i could have worded that better)) Ira turned his attention from the wolves and directed his ever-blood-red eyes up at the loud man, who looked angry.
He stood up slowly.
He spoke in an energetic, cold voice, that makes those who hear it shiver for a moment in unconcious fear "Sir, we are not here to avenge the petty deaths of humans, we are here with intent to band together and aid our fellow mutants who have been captured. Now UNLESS you want to find out how I killed my prey, I suggest you return to your pillar to enjoy that cigarette!!
As he spoke his anger grew slightly, and the cigarette flared a little, burning about a half-inch of it into ash.
<And now for a little something for my amusement> thought Ira. He blinked, using the small space of time it takes to blink to concentrate on the man's left combat boot. He still didn't know his name. The man's boot shrunk a couple sizes during that blink. He probably wouldn't figure out it was Ira until awhile later.
(OOC: None of the X-Men are in uniform. Just an FYI)
Kilala walked over to Kaine and touched his shoulder lightly. "He's right. We aren't here to start anything with each other. Right now, we need to worry about how to stop the kidnappings, ok?"
She didn't really like the looks of the man that Kaine had spoken to, but the call was made to all mutants. It wasn't like they could shun away those that "looked" to be not worth the trouble. Things were getting dangerous and they needed to join together.
As Dominic finished placing down the final speaker, performing a mic check, he noticed Kaine was having a confrontation with a strange looking mutant. When he stood up after plugging in a wire, he realized the few mutants who had started to come all looked rather...stereotypically...like mutants.
He walked down the aisle and the wolf looking mutants. They had a proud sense about them. Dominic smiled at them warmly as he approached the three. "Hello. Thanks for coming."
He realized how much he'd changed from being very untrustworthy of people he didn't know. It was mainly due to the time he'd spent with Tricity and the other X-Men. Most of the people who came through the doors at the school hardly trusted anyone, but you could always count on the Headmistress to remind you that there was still some good left in the world when everything goes to shit. Dominic was hoping this citywide call would be the good that could find the missing mutants.
Tristan sat in his room a bit, enjoying the newly clean feeling of being just out of the shower. After a few minutes his emerald green eyes glanced at the leaflet announcing a meeting for mutants in an abandoned church a few blocks away from his apartment. He stood, his well toned muscles rippling gently beneath his skin and got dressed. He was wearing fairly normal clothing; a pair of dark brown Doc Martin boots, a baggy pair of slightly faded dark blue jeans, and both a black undershirt and a black shirt. He strapped his gun holsters onto his belt and then slipped the twin H&K Mk 23 pistols into them, checking them first to make sure the clips they held currently were indeed full. He slipped another two clips into the specially fitted slots for them on the belt while whispering a silent prayer that he wouldn't need the guns tonight. While they weren't necessary Tristan adhered to the philosophy of "Better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them." After putting his two necklaces and his ring on Tristan spiked his hair and headed toward the door. On his way Tristan grabbed the new jacket that his friends had just given him and slipped it on. The bomber jacket was made especially for him and fit nicely. His name had been stitched into the front with silver thread by a careful hand and on the back his friends had had a picture of a stylized green four leaf clover superimposed over the Irish flag sewn onto the back. His nick name, Genesis, was sewn into the top of the back of the jacket and his initials, T.K., were sewn into the four leaf clover both in silver thread as well.
Tristan exited his apartment and walked down the street. It didn't take him long to find the old church, and indeed it was old. It looked as if it hadn't been used in years. He reached forward tentatively and gave the door a shove. It creaked open slowly and Tristan stepped inside, placing a hand behind his back and feeling his pistols there. There were several people inside, including a group of Wolf People that until then had only existed in some of the fantasy games he played. He was intrigued by their mutations but kept it to himself at the moment seeing as they were talking to a man of Hispanic origins that was slightly taller than himself. He also noticed that two of the men in the room seemed to have just had some sort of an argument. By his judgment the man smoking the cigarette was roughly six foot while the other was around his own height. Their "disagreement" seemed to have been broken up by a small girl of Asian origins.
As he glanced beyond the people who had gathered in the church before him he noticed again that the church was in a state of extreme neglect, noting that many of the pillars bore cracks as did the walls and that the glass in the windows looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in forever. He also noticed that some one had set up a stage near the other end of the church and wonder how big a crowd whomever was putting this on expected to draw. Tristan found himself an unbroken pew a took a seat, thinking it would do him good to observe for a bit before beginning to interact with the other people who were already gathered.
((OOC; this is my first post here. If you guys see any glaringly obvious mistakes lemme know but since my mom taught english while I was in highschool and my girlfriend is currently majoring in english I am going to hope I caught all them beforehand. Hope to be having a regular posting party with you guys soon!!))

Kaine glared at the mutant that he had confronted and spoke "No death is petty" He said taking a pull of his cigarette and turning away Kaine threw the but over his shoulder at him as he walked back to his pillar. Atticus spoke as he walked away "I would watch the shadows my friend you never know what could be lurking there" With this Kaine moved his hand slightly so what looked like a winged creature crossed the ceiling high above disappearing back into the shadows.
Kaine Lent against his pillar for a second before deciding to go talk to wire and the wolf people "Hey wire hows it going?" He said lighting yet another cigarette
Kilala sighed at the interaction that had just taken place between the three, but was glad it ended without drama. She suddenly noticed the shadow like demon up in the rafters of the church and then looked back at the man with a slight smile. He definitely gave her the creeps and decided they had better keep an eye on him. She moved past him and went toward the front of the church to watch over the door. When Kilala was almost near the doors, she noticed someone else had come in.
'Well, at least he LOOKS normal. Though, that doesn't mean much nowadays,' she thought as she slowed down and nodded to him. Kilala noticed the name on his jacket; Tristan. 'Nice name', she thought. She wasn't really sure what to say, but it seemed appropriate to acknowledge the people who were brave enough to come. "Hi. We appreciate you coming."
A smile played across Tristan's faces as the Asian girl nodded at him, acknowledging his presence there. He noticed she was the same height as him as he looked into her Brown eyes as she came over to him and thanked him for coming.
"And I appreciate some one finally organizing something like this," Tristan said as he extended his hand. "My name is Tristan Kyle Parker however I would prefer T.K. I work at the club Heaven and have heard some wierd stories about people with known mutations disappearing. Seeing as my mutation is the ability to heal I figured I would do what I can to help. I'm also a decent fighter and a damn good shot with my pistols, though I don't exactly relish the thought of having to shot someone."
Kilala was a bit taken aback by his introduction since she was about the most secretive person ever in existance. Also, his mentioning of his healing mutation made her stomach flip as she thought of Ruben. But, she smiled at him anyway. "Nice to meet you T.K. My name is Setsuna. Or um, Suna for short."
She paused and there was an awkward silence. "What you heard is true. There are a lot of people going missing and we definitely could use your help. We're trying to figure out where they are being taken. Um, have you been New York all your life?"
Tristan shook his head as Suna asked if he had been in New York all his life. "Only the past few years. I grew up in So Cal untill my families house burned downed, claiming the lives of my parents. After that I came to live with my older brother and sister in Ithaca and now I live on my own here in town," He said as he noticed that Suna was a bit startled at the mention of his powers. He assumed someone she knew had been badly injured once.
Tristan ran his left hand through his hair and wondered to himself who could be taking all the mutants and where had they taken them when he remembered his other reason for being here. "Setsuna, do you know anything about Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters?" he asked tentatively. "I am actually looking for a bit safer place to stay and possibly go to college finally too and had heard that Xavier's was a place that harbored mutants."
