The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Wire answered the various questions from the several mutants who crowded around him as well as the other X-Men and residents of the mansion. He didn't have the answers to them all and thought Daria should've stayed at the mic to help with this problem. He wasn't even sure what they planned on doing since there hadn't been a briefing on this mission.
He looked through the crowd and over heads to see Daria talking to a woman at the front of the church. 'Who's she?' A teenage girl had her hands on her hips and waited for Dominic's answer to the question he hadn't heard. "I'm sorry, what was the question?"
"I said, how are we going to assemble? Shouldn't we have a list of all the mutations to know how we plan on fighting?" the girl asked, in an annoyed tone. Wire smiled at her and nodded. 'She has a point. We need to organize now.'
"We're going to do that in a few minutes. Just try and mingle around and get to know the people in here while we start a list of everyone's names and mutations." Wire jumped down from the altar and shimmied his way through the many people to get to Daria. He touched her on the shoulder and excused himself as he interrupted the conversation. "Daria...don't you think we should get the details of these plans out to everyone, especially um...the X-Men? Cause I don't even know. When you said armoured vehicles from land and air, I caught my breath. Mind sharing?" He asked, smiling at her.
Ira sure was getting bored. He'd already spent a few minutes thinking about high-grade metal alloys and now he felt like doing something practical. Idly he rubbed one of the skulls on his belt, while slouching on his throne. The pendulum thingy clacked away next to him.
Sighing from the boredom, Ira made his decision The floor beneath his feet was wooden. Lazily, he stuck out his left arm, still leaning on his right. He concentrated on the dirt beneath the church, and the ground rumbled slightly. In his mind's eye he could see the dirt shifting, making way for what he wanted. The rumbling stopped and there was a thump on the floor from beneath Ira's feet, and the boards began to warp and bend upwards, towards his hands.
CRack - the boards gave way and a large chunk of quite hard looking rock rose out of the hole in the floor between Ira's seat and the seat in front of him. Ira sat up and willed the rock over to the floor next to him, setting it down. Then he telekinetically moved the pieces of floor back to the hole and patched it up.
Lifting the rock up, he made it hover in front of him while he crafted it. He pictured what he wanted it to be, and began to use his powers to craft it. Pieces of rock scattered onto the floor around him as he crafted in a frenzy, ignoring anyone who might be watching.
Some minutes later when he was about done it slowed down and stopped twirling, and he made the finishing touches to it. Ira blew the dust and little bits off it and took hold of it. He swung it around a little to get a feel of it. It was nice workmanship, Ira was pleased with how his first sword had turned out. He paused to sharpen the blade a little then held it up in front of him to admire it.

Tristan looked at the strange vial that the woman, Daria, had given out to all the mutants gathered. As she explained what had happened, and that if he wanted to he could come and help rescue those mutants who had been kidnapped, he began thinking about everything that would be needed to resscue those who had been kidnapped. 'More ammo thats for damn sure,' Tristan thought to himself as he remembered that he had only brought one extra clip per gun. 'The guards at this place sure as hell won't be trying to disarm or firing stun rounds.' Tristan downed the vial given to him in one gulp, treating it much like a shot of alcohol and never letting it touch his tongue while it was in his mouth. The taste of it was bitter but not too bad. As it hit his stomach, Tristan was over come with a slight wave of nausea, which his healing factor quickly cancelled out. 'Well at least I won't get drugged now.'
Tristan heard the sound of helicoptors landing outside and realized that he wouldn't have time to go get his own ammo from his house. He noticed a woman with flowing black hair and an oliver complexion walk in and begin talking to Daria and Emerald and figured she must have been part of the chopper personnel. 'Maybe she will have or know where I can nab some extra ammo.' With that thought in mind Tristan made his way over to Daria and the group of xmen around her. He waited untill they were more or less done discussing whatever they were talking about and then interjected.
"Pardon the interruption, but I want to help. The name is Tristan Parker, most call me TK or Genesis however. Now, i don't have a power thats real flashy or that helps me take things on the offensive so I rely on slightly different methods to do that, like my Wu Shu or the pair of H&K Mk 23's right here," Tristan said as he patted his lower back, feeling the cold metal of the guns through his jacket."I live by the philospohy of its better to have and not need than need and not have and most nights that works pretty good. However seeing as the gents we are about to go up against to rescue our fallen bretheren presumably won't be trying to disarm us before hand and will be shooting live rounds I would like a bit more than 24 rounds of ammunition. Do you happen to have some .45 caliber rounds lying around that would fit into a clip like this," Tristan said as he turned to the women who had just walked in the door, noticing that the small girl with a wolve's tail at Daria's side 'I wonder where she was a moment ago'.
Geist raised an eyebrow to the young asian woman as she tried her best to de-escalate the situtation. Then a man wearing combats decided to lend his voice to the church, taking a drag from his spliff. As both "church fascilitators" engaged in a lil conversation, Geist began having small flashbacks back to his younger years. When it came down to it.. buddha was the only thing that wouldve kept us sane enough to do the kinda work we did.. Shaking his head to snap back to reality, a feline figure approached the podium just as he focused his attention. The speech began. Listening in Geist was filled with unimaginable feelings of worry, grief, and uncontrolleble anger. Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth, Geists' mind forced upon him even more infimous memories from his past.. she shouldnt be there.. I.. failed to protect her.. and now...I cant let her stay there one more second.. i wont let them.. let them bring her to a world I left for dead long ago. Being brought out of his trance by the sound of a military grade copter outside, "What the-" watching as both feral mutants walked towards the front of the church to meet some important guest. "I guess things are finally gonna get moving" grinning slightly as he fiddled the unknown vial precariously through his horizontally leveled hand. Watching the liquid in the vial tussle about as it kept him entertained, he looked to his side just as Isabel downed the solution making a 'eew' like face at its consumption. Tossing up the vial then clutching it in his hand he looked at it closely, firmly deciding that he'd need a chaser, placing the vial in his coat pocket. Geist looked about the room, noticing its going ons. Worried mutants mob'd in the front as they sought to have their questions answered. The strange behemoth of a man also fiddled with the vial, but placed his focus to his surroundings for entertainment. Just then Geist heard the impatient sigh of a familiar young woman, shifting his attention to Isabel. "I guess we're both a lil on the restless side. Its the inticipation I think, knowing of a battle soon to come.. Yaknow.. To tell ya the truth i wouldve never of guessed a innocent looker such as yourself would ever relish running to the front lines Haha." chuckling a bit as he proceded to look around just as a thought came to his head.. where the hell is derrick!? dont tell me he's still in the van.. WITH THE ALKYHALL! damn it, now that would be a nice chaser for this crud, peeking into his pocket at the nasty mixture.
Ira set the sword down against his throne and stood up. He looked around for a bit to locate Daria, she seemed to be leading this operation. He spotted her next to the wolf girl that had arrived with her, and went over to her, his trenchcoat rustling as he weaved between some of the people who were standing up. "Daria? My name is Iratio Silentium. I need to go get something before we leave, I'm going now. Don't leave without me K?" said Ira to Daria. He turned to go, then paused and added "I'm going to look very different when I return, so trust me when i say it's me" He walked out through the door, waving to the wolves as he went.
Ira jogged down the street and turned down another one to the docks. It looked like there had been cops around here. Quickly he went over to the part of the bay where he had put it. He concentrated on it and willed it to the surface and out of the water. He frowned and the water began to ripple. The surface of the water broke and it rose up and out of it. He set the ball of metal down on the dock and rested for a bit, then pushed it out of the docks and back onto the street. It rumbled as it went, and the rumbling went down the street a little, then turned right into an alleyway. Here he put all of his will into the ball, molded it into a humanoid shape, crafting it with a perfectionists touch he worked on it. If anyone saw it as they walked by the alleyway they would see a large mass of molten silvery metal twisting and convulsing strangely, then becoming stable and hardening. When he was done he made sure he had just a little spare metal, for later. He took the knife out of the trenchcoat pocket and made a prick in each of the fingertips in his right hand, so that blood began to drip from them. He took off the trenchcoat, leaving him bare chested. He walked forward and drew a symbol on the chest of the metal golem, then stepped back and knelt. He imagined clearly himself as the golem, and willed it to be so. His body began to glow bright blue, the streets grew dark, and then he was no longer a body, just a ball of the blue light. The ball rose slightly, then flew at the golem and disappeared into through the blood mark. The possession was complete. As he settled into the new body, the golems back rippled slightly and two lumps appeared. The lumps grew larger then their surface broke and the two skulls slowly appeared then grew still. The metal body held them there, seeming to peek out from inside him.
He turned and checked his powers. They still worked during the possession. Ira picked up the remaining metal and willed it into the forms he wanted. Two swords, a bastard sword and a scimitar. Their shape was perfect, and the edge seemed sharp enough but he wasn't sure. He slashed at a trash can to test it. The can bounced away, dented. The swords weren't good enough so he used his power of "telechemistry" as he called it, to realign the atoms of the swords edge to achieve a truely perfect blade edge. He tested them against another trash can. It went through like it wasn't even there. Perfect. Holding a sword in each huge steel hand, he walked back down the street to the church, only half-heartedly hoping no one tried to follow him to it.
INSIDE
There could be heard an odd thumping noise, of steel on concrete. It occured in a rhythm like footsteps. It got closer and closer. Then the source appeared in the doorway, a huge silvery-grey figure, made entirely of metals, mostly steel. Once one got over his size and form, one looked down to see the two massive swords he carried. Ira stepped in and the floor creaked. Ira took another step then thought better of it when his foot went through the floor. He pulled his foot out and backed out of the building, a little disappointed. Ira settled for leaning gingerly against the doorframe.
Kilala continued answering questions that everyone had until Wire came over to her, holding a pad and pen. She looked at him confusedly, but he ushered her over next to him by the podium where he took the mic to make an announcement.
Wire tapped on the microphone to get everyone's attention. Slowly heads began to turn and he cleared his throat again.
"Hi. I need all volunteers to step up near the altar and sign up here on this lovely list that my lovely assitant Setsuna has so we know where everyone will be for the operation. Basically our plan is distraction based, as my colleague Daria has informed me. We're going to have a distraction out front in order to lead most of the forces outside of the base while a smaller group infiltrates the facility. So please, come up and sign your name along with exact descriptions of your mutations. Thanks."
And with that, Wire stood with Setsuna and waited for the line to begin.
Hearing that he had to get to the front of the church, Ira gave up the idea of not wrecking the floor and stepped back in only making a few steps before the floor gave way to his feet. He slowly headed for the podium.
Tristan whirled as a loud BOOM BOOM BOOM echoed throughout the church, signaling the approach of something large. In a matter of moments a large metallic figure approached the door, stepping in a little ways before his foot broke through the floor and he backed out again. The large being was carrying two giant swords and appeared to be on their side, at least Tristan hoped he was. A short while after the metal man's appearance, the Hispanic mutant who had introduced Daria got up to the mic and asked all mutants who were volunteering to come and sign the roster so that an accurate list of all mutations present could be obtained and put to their best use. Tristan was torn between waiting for an answer to his request for more ammunition or signing up. Eventually he realized he would have to sign up so why not it get it done early.
"Pardon me for one moment while I go put my name down on that list, I will be right back," Tristan said to both Daria and her guest. With that he followed the hispanic up to the mic.
"Names Tristan Parker, though most call me TK or Genesis. My mutation is the ability to heal anything as long the intended isn't already dead. I am also one hell of a shot and know a good bit of Wu Shu," Tristan said, taking a pistol from its holster behind his back and giving it a quick twirl before placing it back in it's holster."Any idea when we are heading out?" Tristan asked as an afterthought, remembering that he still needed stuff from his apartment too." Never mind that, I'll be ready when the time comes."
With that Tristan walked back over to Daria and the lady who had walked in with the helicopter arrivals, hoping she might have some .45 caliber ammo lying around or one of the troops attached to the helicopter might.

(OOC: Apparently we need some clarification on what's happening. So...here goes:
First, no one has godmodded anyone's character because that would mean a member would be controlling the actions of another member's charrie. That hasn't happened in any post I've seen. Only thing I've seen are that charries are talking to Daria, who is unavailable because of personal issues at the moment. Though, here is a reminder that no one should control another person's character without permission first!
Secondly, if the godmodding was referring to Wire, that character has permission to godmod Daria for the purpose of starting the list of people signing up to go on the mission to the facility.
Overview: Yes, there is quite a lot happening at the moment in this scene. May I make the suggestion that, Ira, please don't do anything more that would cause attention to the church, thus ending the "secret"-ness of the meeting. When you created your golem, it was very...not-so-subtle. So as of now, members who would like to go on the mission should sign up on the list that Wire and Setsuna are in possession of at the podium, on the altar. This is an RP sign-up. You don't actually have to "sign-up" anywhere on the forum like other plots. Daria, in RP, will make another announcement to separate groups of mutants for the strike on the facility. Then the narrator, (TheLibrarian), or myself, will end the scene and we'll move to the facility thread or I will start a new one, possibly, since the attack will be from outside the base.
