The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Uh, yea of course I know the school. Well, they are taking residents in at the sister school actually. The Headmistress there is Tricity. She takes in just about anyone who needs a place to stay, so I'm sure you would be a shoe in. I'll be back in a sec."
Kilala jogged outside and rummaged through the van to see if she could find a brochure. After opening the glove box, she found one and came back inside the church, moving passed a few more mutants who had come inside.
"Here ya go. Actually, if you'd like, you can ride back with us to the mansion if you'd like."
"Hey man. You okay? Seemed like the two of you were about to...get it in." Wire asked, seeing a flood of mutants beginning to come into the church. The pews were beginning to fill up quickly, though he couldn't help notice how nervous and aware everyone looked.
"That would be awesome," Tristan replied as he took the brochure. "I would just need a few minutes to go back to my place and grab some of my things."
Tristan was excited about finding out that the mansion was real in addition to securing a ride there. As he looked around he noticed that more people had come in the church, all looking scared and nervous.
"So whats your story Setsuna? Have you lived in New York all your life?"

The three wolf mutants began to find ways to occupy there time, Well at least Crimson and Whiteclaw did. Sunset on the other hand was practically ripping off her shirt sleeve with her fangs. She growled irritably, trying to find something to do.
Whiteclaw looked over from his book, quirking an eyebrow at Sunset. "What are you doing?" He asked, tail thumping on the chair.
"Trying to keep myself occupied while these outsiders take their damn time to get here." Sunset snarled ripping the sleeve fully off of her shirt. Leaving her long sleeve shirt with only one sleeve.
"Oh so you rip off your clothes to do it?" Crimson asked her elder cousin, looking up from her game boy.
Sunset got very flustered as she looked at the two, "I'm just saying that we shouldn't have to wait! We should go, we have never cared about the outsiders world before so why should we now?" Sunset questioned,
"It is because that Oceaneyes asked us to come." Whiteclaw stated calmly
"WHAT?!" Sunset roared, "We came all the way out here to this church to help out friends of that little flame headed water controlling fur ball?"
"Yes-"
"She should have never been made part of the clan but did you listen to my advice? No, you let her in and she led 40 armed laboratory troops to our camp. Don't you remember that some of our best warriors died that day!" Sunset fumed, "It just so happens that the same organization that has been chasing her all these years just happens to kidnap more than half of the mutants in the city? I don't think its just a coincidence, I think she is working for the humans."
Sunset began to storm out the door when a cloaked figure entered. The figure had pure black robes on and hid in the shadows as it stepped into the room. From the way the clothes fit it could be told that the figure was most likely a female but her eyes, as well as the res of her features where hidden beneath the hooded cloak.
Sunset growled, "Out of my way outsider!" She grabbed what it looked to be the figures arm. However when she did, it seemed she was grabbing thin air. The figure disappeared for a brief moment, causing unease to the 18 year old wolf girl. Considering she could not smell or feel where the stranger was going to end up.
All of a sudden dark tendrils wrapped around the wolf girls arms and legs holding her in place. Sunset struggled for a moment before the figure approached her, whispering softly in her ear. After the brief conversation the figure disappeared once again.
Sunset walked back to her seat looking extremely shaken by what had just happened. However, Whiteclaw looked very pleased himself. While Crimson was asking he cousin if she was okay, Whiteclaw turned behind him and spoke.
"Dear Darksoul, we meet a last. Thank you for putting my young charge in line." Whiteclaw stated, even though he could no see where the figure disappeared to. It looked as if the old man was mad, but most people here knew better.
A soft raspy voice was heard from behind him, even though it couldn't be seen. "Do not tell Oceaneyes that you saw me. It would be best if she did not know I was here."
"Of course, I only look out for the best interests of my people." Whiteclaw responded. Nodding his head knowingly, Whiteclaw went back to his book, Crimson gave her cousin an extra game and game boy while she went back o her on.
Meanwhile in the very back pew of the church, a figure stood, She was not good but she was not bad, she was just there and she was planning on helping.
((Okay the figure is not an NPC! But In your oC comments you are more than welcome to comment on this posty. Oh and It will start soon, I just sort of want daria to come back before we start))
"Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am."
Kilala smiled at Tristan and then looked down. "Um, yes most of my life, though I lived in Japan when I was younger." She looked back up at him and then toward the altar. "I'll ask the X-Men if they can stay behind for a minute while you grab your things. I'm sure there will be a lot of questions after the meeting has ended anyway."
Ira smiled as the man walked away and heard him say "No death is petty", and give some warning about watching shadows. He saw a movement on the ceiling out of the corner of his eye and looked up to see the shadows moving in physical form. <So, thats your power. Control of shadows. Very interesting> thought Ira, and he laughed under his breath <You still don't know mine> He sat back down in his stone throne, and turned his attention to the new arrivals. There was a large group of them now, and the church was beginning to fill up. He wondered how many telepaths would show up, if anyone reads his mind it might cause some alarm. But that didn't matter, he really was here to assist, but only because he values the potential in all mutations, and, well, he looks forward to making those who would kidnap mutants scream. And then take their skulls.
Usually Ira was prone to boredom. Now was no different, and he began to figit. He looked around, there were a lot of broken pews. <Ah, why not. It'll kill a few minutes.> He stood up and stretched briefly, then strolled purposefully over to the nearest broken pew. He knelt down and had a look to see where the damage was, then once he was sure of it, he placed his hands on it and concentrated. The parts of the pew rose about a foot off the floor, came together to form a complete pew, then became sturdy and floated back down to the floor, fixed. Ira moved on to the next busted pew and repeated the process.
"That would be awesome. I would just like to grab a change of clothes and a few things like my Laptop and iPod," Tristan said as he mentally went through a list of things to grab when he went back and things that could come later.
As Tristan tried to think or something to discuss while they waited he noticed a darker shadow near the door and then in the back of the church but dismissed it as nothing more than a darker patch in the stone made darker by the shadows covering it. He also noticed that the man that was part of the argument earlier was repairing the broken church pews. Not being particularly religious himself Tristan found the act rather odd, expecially coming from a man who had two skulls attached to his belt. Tristan had heard the news reports of strangely disfigured bodies being found but the newscaster hadn't elaborated earlier in the day. Perhaps when he got a chance to catch tomorrows news there would be something about it.
"You don't know the man who is repairing the church pews do you?" Tristan asked of Setsuna.
As he neared finishing repairing the pews, beginning work on one down near the back, Ira felt an odd presence near the wolves, seeing something out of the corner of his eye. He looked over and failed to see much, but then he noticed that there was something, someone there, a figure hidden in the shadows. In fact they appeared to be made of shadows, or darkness. He wondered if this was the work of the man who confronted him earlier and glanced over to check, but that man was absorbed in a conversation with someone and wasn't paying him any attention at the moment. He looked back at the figure. They wore a hood, so he couldn't see their face. Curiousity gripped him, and he decided to find out more about this strange one. He finished the pew he was fixing, doing a somewhat haphazard job since he was distracted, and walked over to the figure. He extended his hand for shaking, assuming the figure possessed hands, and said "Hi, I'm Ira."

A van could be seen creeping down the lonesome road that harbored the abandoned church. As it came to a slow creeking stop the sound of a handbrake going up, and a voice explaining the proper method to 'ghost riding the whip' to a couple of passengers, could be heard by groups of mutants trickling into the church. Not bothering with the car door, Geist ghosted past it materializing on the sidewalk. Giving the building a once look over Geist saw no reason in pointing out the decrepitness of the structure. Geist simply shrugged and proceded on towards the stiff wooden doors of the church. Touching the doors as he slipped in brought back subtle memories. Memories of churches he had waltzed into while in Germany. Churches, not unlike this one, that had been beaten and battered through the ages, but still offered sanctuary when in need.. and this of course was a time of great need.
Standing within the hallow doorway of the church Geist glanced about, inspecting the lot that had gathered to discuss what had been happening all across New York. Talk about some real characters, huh? he thought. A cold breeze wisped by him, ruffling his collar as he interupted a young man with spikey hair and a detailed bomber jacket, "Excuse me as I interject between this young woman and your inquiery. Names Geist, and though this is most likely an unnecessary question, i was wondering if this is really the place where we, as some kind of mutant coalition, come up with a plan of action for the recent disappearences of mutants?" What a mouth full Geist thought for a moment, "Cause if so, Im looking for answers pretaining to a missing friend of mine. I would definitlly like to know whats going on, and do my part in any way to assure her rescue." With a gentle exhale Geist loosened up, saving the stiffness and formalities merely for introduction.

Dressed in civilian clothes with her uniform underneath, Daria rolled up in her jaguar. She was running a bit late because she and Emmy had to make antidotes for the poisons given out at the labs.
But she entered shortly after the meeting began and quickly gave out the antidotes. She, having been to the labs and escaped, was prepared to give a short speech and instructions. She wouldn't let Tricity down. She couldn't.
Daria made a short Phonecall to Linda before she got settled in but closed her phone and surveyed the mutants around her.
Kilala shook her head at Tristan. "No. I've never seen that man before. Though, I've never seen many mutants outside of the people in the school."
Another man approached them. One she was sure she'd seen on the mutant grounds before. As she listened to his question, Kilala wanted to put a sign on the door in big bold letter claiming this is where the meeting in fact was. But for obvious reasons, it couldn't be done. "Yes, this is that meeting. We don't have many answers, but we'll try and help you find your friend."
Wire saw Daria come into the church and gave her a nod and smile, showing her up to the altar. He tapped a few times on the microphone for testing and then cleared his throat.
"Hi everyone. Thank you for coming. My name is Wire and myself and a few others from the Institute called this meeting to get all the mutants together in order to stop the kidnappings that have been going on throughout the city. Our headmistress has fallen ill, so she couldn't be here tonight. To speak for her is one of my teammates on the X-Men, Daria." He stepped away from the mic and stood behind her as the rest of the X-Men did.
Emerald followed in after Daria, dressed in her normal streetclothes. Emerald still didnt have an X men uniform yet but she didnt mind wearing her usal clothes .
She had a feeling that since she had been in the Labs for ten years of her life she would have to say something to the audience but didnt exactly know what yet. She smiled when She saw Whiteclaw walk up to her, tail wagging back and forth happilly.
"It has been a long time Oceaneyes," Whiteclaw said to the younger mutant. The old man watched as Emerald dipped her head in respect.
"Indeed it has Whiteclaw, Indeed it has." Emerald responded, eyes showing the uttermost respect. But they still showed the wearyness from worrying, which Whiteclaw caught.
"You seem to be tired young one, when was the last time you slept?" Whiteclaw asked in a concerned voice.
"A few days ago," Emerald responded tiredly, taking out a cup of herbal tea she stored in her thermos.
"You should get some rest. You know what the teenagers in our tribe say, You have to have your nose and eyes alert-" Whiteclaw was caught of by Emerald
"In order to fight and flirt, I know. Didnt you think of that saying when you where my age?" Emerald asked slyly.
"Indeed I did young one." Whiteclaw smiled, begining o walk back to his seat.
Emerald sat down in a chair, with a small smile before returning to Daria. "Need*yawn* any Help?"
