The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Got a plot in mind?
MRO plots are player-created the Mods facilitate and organize the big ones, but we get the ideas from you. Do you have a plot in mind, and want to know whether it needs Mod approval? Check out our plot guidelines.
I mentioned this plot thought in the Cbox, and received a surprisingly positive response, so here it is for everyone to toy with.
How about something similar to Freaky Friday? Somehow certain mutants switch both bodies and powers. Or possibly just bodies, not sure. The easiest way for this to happen would be an NPC mutant with those powers running loose. Possibly a Prankaholic, or someone with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or some other interesting personality quirk.
So it doesn't become overwhelming, I would suggest asking for volunteers, as opposed to everyone switching with someone else. I'd also like to see the Mods make the decision among the volunteers who switches with who, simply because it would be more random, entertaining, and stretch the volunteers rp skills.
As for a solution to the problem.....
Anyone have any creative ideas? Other than the NPC has a change of heart and switches them back?
As for solutions... the easiest that comes to mind is that the mutant's power itself has a time limit involved. Or when someone beats the snot out of him, his power automatically deactivates, and all changes reverse. Not that Rupert will spend this plot trying to beat the snot out of things. *glllllllares over a cup of coffee* A third alternative: perhaps when the switched players find each other, there can be a magical moment of sparkles and Disney logos and everything being set right again. That could be fun, in that the switched players would have to seek each other out in threads... and naturally, it's no fun if they find each other quickly.
This was an excellently fun idea, Iris.
PS: If Geo, Raven Fire, Ghost, Raina, and Rupert ever meet during this plot line... their powers should combine to summon Captain Planet.
I can see two ways for switching to happen. One is two people randomly switch with each other, and the other is for the switcher to randomly hop from one person to another in a chain, which could get way too complicated...
MRO has long been overdue for some form of absurd adventure with which to antagonize and abuse the multitude of members who have recently received approval for conjuring the creative characters we see on the board today. I therefore fully endorse this idea, and if someone is willing to bear with somewhat slower posting speeds, would hold no reservations in adding Zephyr's name to the swiftly growing list of applicants. This is precisely the sort of bizarre event he needs to experience to strip away some of his inherent complacency... I can only begin to imagine how he would react if his gender were changed.
Cafas: "Zephyr is the king of bad decisions, but if Sebby being weak to ghost is anything to go by, not so amazing at follow through."
I like the idea that the characters must seek each other out, though that should happen naturally as they try to find their way back to their lives... unless someone likes the body/power they got after the switch! *is totally gonna have Lori try to keep hers* i just know this is going to mess up some people's lives and make some others better. lol. I officially put Lori and Ghost in the pot. Kudos for Iris! The fun-maker. (kinda like mentos... but more fun)
PS: If Geo, Raven Fire, Ghost, Raina, and Rupert ever meet during this plot line... their powers should combine to summon Captain Planet.

I think putting Fission in, someone elses shoes would be a good idea for him it may change him. I would like Streak to keep his powers though I would put him in.
I really like the idea of the miniplot and now I put both Streak and Fission into the mix.

*strikes a pose* The power is yours!!
*looks around, clears throat, twiddles with hair....*
I'm glad to hear so much enthusiasm. I agree a miniplot would be more fun than a main plot, though having both run simultaneous might prove a bit complicated.
After reading everything everyone suggested, I think I like Calley's third option best, where characters have to seek each other out. I think Zeph's idea if a few gender switches would be hilariously wonderful as well.
I'll toss in one of the Twins for sure. I'm beginning to enjoy splitting them up in various ways. lol Neena, too. If it gets large, I'll offer Iris as well, though she might prove even more complicated for whoever ends up with her. ><

*thumbs up* Sounds like fun! Deffinately sign up Luke Jacobs... it would be neat to get to RP with him able to see for a little while, and of course force someone else to RP blind. :-)
