The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Neena shifted her position as another body joined them. "Getting cozy in here," she remarked. She nodded to Sara.
"We'll have to see about that one." She shifted through her mental list of things she had stashed around, while Raina took charge. She smiled a bit in the dark; it was good to both hear Raina's voice and see the change in her. After that first day in the camps, Neena honestly didn't expect the native girl to survive.
"We need to try to be silent too and as stealthy as possible."
She opened her mouth to say something, but paused as someone knocked on the mirror. She tilted her head to listen, then a grin spread across her face.
"Not a problem."
On cue, a familiar face opened the door.
"Breakout date is set, and soon. You folks are going to have to get organized so you don’t trip all over each other when the time comes. You ready for it?"
"Nice to see you too." Neena rolled her eyes. He was so uptight. She hoped she never acted her age. "Ready, as is organized? Could use improvement. Ready, as in ready to get out of here? Need you ask?"
She turned to Raina and winked. "You handle the combat. We'll handle the ammo," she included Sara. She held out her fist. "Deal?"
Sara’s eyes flicked to the mirrored glass. She could make out the movement on the other side thanks to the current lighting conditions, and a smile came to her face when Doug seemed to appear on Neena’s cue to give the news that sent Sara’s hear pounding in her throat.
"You handle the combat. We'll handle the ammo,"
Sara paused before putting her hand out over Neena’s. If the combat situation arose, Sara was better suited for the front line, where if she got attacked she could dodge, heal and keep going.
"Deal?"
“I’ll collect everything I’ve stashed and we will have to finish those little spice spray defenses, (Those were mentioned in OOC plans.) but I’m better suited for front line. If I see a need for myself there, that’s where I’m heading.”
> " Ready, as is organized? Could use improvement. Ready, as in > ready to get out of here? Need you ask?"
Sonya/Doug smiles thinly, despite herself, as Sara and Neena coordinate.
She’s been intrigued by Neena’s enhanced vision since she first read about it in the Mutant Registration Database – it seems like the sort of ability she might be able to copy, and a useful one to have. But in dealing with the woman for the last several weeks she has decided it’s far from being the most important thing about her.
The thing she will forevermore remember about Neena is her astonishing ability to maintain a positive, even cheerful, attitude under the most oppressive conditions Sonya has ever seen. If it weren’t for her example, half of the other inmates would have done something irreperably stupid by now, Sonya judges, out of sheer despair. I wonder if they realize it?
Not that it’s any of her concern, but it’s worth keeping in mind. It’s easy to underestimate the importance of simple leadership skills when surrounded by mind-controllers and one-man armies, but it’s a mistake she doesn’t intend to allow herself to make. If Sonya ever has occasion to put together a team of mutants, she wants Neena on it.
"Yeah, I meant as-in-organized. If there’s anybody who wants to stay in this hellhole, I don’t wanna know about it… just keep ‘em out of the way." She looks around the room, particularly at the two relative strangers, and shrugs. "So. Improvement. What have you got in mind?"

Raina furrowed her eyebrows. Ok, it was cramped now. She wasn't exactly sure how to start to be honest. She wasn't even that sure of everyone's mutation. "I think the first thing we need to do... though I dont know how do-able this is... but see how much pain from the collars we can take while using our powers. Hopefully during the breakout they can be dismaned but till they are or if they don't we need to still be able to work with the things on" she gave hers a yank.
"We should also work on our physical combat too... I suggest we pair off or get in groups of three. I think we can expect to have at least 2 guards against 1 mutant at any given time regardless. We may have to rely on our hand to hand combat. So I think we need to pick groups. Volunteers?"

"We need to try to be silent too and as stealthy as possible. But most importantly... we must work together."
Streak caught the tail end of what Raina was saying when the guards threw him into the room with a bunch of other mutants. "Thanks for the had guys I couldn't have foudn the place without y'all." He said to the guards as they began to walk away. "Breakout date is set, and soon. You folks are going to have to get organized so you don’t trip all over each other when the time comes. You ready for it?"
"I'll volunteer to teach some people hand to hand combat if anyone wants." He was moving closer to Rain so she would know that he was here and ready to fight; again. He moved more towards the middle of the crowd while he was saying this and looked at everyone he could see. Raina, Acer, and Seraphim had seen him fight and knew what he could do; however he didn't know what most of the others could or couldn't do and they didn't know what he could do.
"If were going to break out were still missing a lot of mutants that could be really helpful in the escape. How are we supposed to get to them? Do they let us out of here or are we going to be in here 24/7." Even in this dim light he felt like he stood out because of his reflective skin. He felt a little like a walking candle from the light but didn't mind because he didn't have to hide from anyone in here.
> "I think the first thing we need to do... though I dont know how do-able > this is... but see how much pain from the collars we can take while using our powers.”
Sonya/Doug is surprised by the suggestion… she’s already arranged with Rupert to neutralize the collars when the breakout starts, after all, and she’d thought that information had been disseminated. Before she can respond, Raina continues…
> “Hopefully during the breakout they can be dismaned but till they are > or if they don't we need to still be able to work with the things on"
Which, she realizes, is entirely correct. The breakout is going to be a complex bit of business; there’s no way to predict what’s going to go wrong. Rupert might change his mind, he might be lying in the first place, or something might prevent him from doing his part… or he might just foul it up.
"You’re right. There’s a plan in place to disable them, but you’re best off not counting on it." She wants to ask about Raina’s legs, but this is neither the time nor the place.
> > "I think we can expect to have at least 2 guards against 1 mutant at any > > given time regardless. We may have to rely on our hand to hand combat. " > "I'll volunteer to teach some people hand to hand combat if anyone wants.”
He won’t teach them much in the time they have left, Sonya/Doug thinks privately, but keeps the skepticism out of Doug’s voice. "If you all stay together, you’ll outnumber any guards you run into. But who knows… you might get separated. Can’t hurt to practice."
If nothing else, they could use the exercise now that the sedatives in their food are being neutralized. Which reminds her – "Oh, yeah… spread the word, will you? Those of you they’ve been dosing are gonna start feeling frisky again; you don’t wanna give that away before the big showdown. "
> "If we’re going to break out were still missing a lot of mutants that > could be really helpful in the escape. How are we supposed to get > to them? Do they let us out of here or are we going to be in here 24/7."
"Depends on why you got tossed in here in the first place. Some of you’ll be let out, I’m sure. Either way, you don’t have to get to the others – we’ll pop the locks when the time comes. You guys just have to get out, fast and smooth as you can, take out whoever – or whatever – gets in your way. "
Some how, yet another person was tossed into the room. Sara had been kept in isolation before, and she had grown use to making her heart rate slower in the tight space. She’d learned to cope with her claustrophobia better than before, but ever time they opened that door, she had to force herself to slow her heart beat down. She blinked a few times, and took in a deep breath.
"I think the first thing we need to do... though I dont know how do-able this is... but see how much pain from the collars we can take while using our powers. Hopefully during the breakout they can be dismaned but till they are or if they don't we need to still be able to work with the things on"
It wan’t like Sara hadn’t been getting this practice all along. Every time she so much as stubbed her toe, her healing had kicked in. “I doubt that little rubber trick from the fire in the building, would even be worth trying again. Not with how fast it hit poor Ted. Probably just a waist of time in trying to gather enough rubber.”
"We should also work on our physical combat too... I suggest we pair off or get in groups of three. I think we can expect to have at least 2 guards against 1 mutant at any given time regardless. We may have to rely on our hand to hand combat. So I think we need to pick groups. Volunteers?"
"If you all stay together, you’ll outnumber any guards you run into. But who knows… you might get separated. Can’t hurt to practice."
Sara glanced at Doug and gave a one shoulder shrug. “I’d rater be ready for the even that un planned crap happens.” She leaned closer to Doug and tried to talk quietly, though if other heard that was ok. It was more she was a little embarrassed by the fact she was finally asking for a bit more. “I’ll need a bit extra food.” Another meal or two, anything. If she got hurt during the escape she’d heal but her body needed the reserves of sustenance to do so. Other wise it shut down and Sara was going into this fight already under weight.
"I'll volunteer to teach some people hand to hand combat if anyone wants."
Sara’s eyes flicked in the direction of the latest new coming. She was a little surprised to see her own eyes reflecting back at her, sort of, on his reflective skin.. .. .. Interesting She stepped forward into the middle of the small room. If they were going to toss anyone around, it would probably be better to toss someone around who could control their landings a bit. “Same here.” Sara said. Her eyes flicked around to see if anyone else was stepping forward, tail twitching back and forth just behind her ankles. “Go a head and throw me around.” If they can, she thought to herself with another outward shrug.
"Oh, yeah… spread the word, will you? Those of you they’ve been dosing are gonna start feeling frisky again; you don’t wanna give that away before the big showdown. "
Sara nodded having taken note of that. She wondered exactly how much those drugs had effected her body. Even how much extra they had given her.

Raina was very pleased to see everyone working so well together. He rmucsles tightned a little. "I think we've only got limited time before they check in on Doug." she said with a glance in his direction. "So streak and wearcat." she smiled. "who wants to take 'em on first?" she looked around the room.
She was happy to hear about the sedatives- she was sure her head didn't use to always be so foggy.
ooc: sorry so short, just wanna keep things rollin!
Neena grinned at Sara's comment about being better suited for the front line.
"You'd be surprised." She winked and left it at that.
At Doug's remark about starting to feel frisky again, she snickered. "What do you mean again?" she teased. After their first meeting, she figured he could guess what she meant. Truth be told, she was itching to drop her 'klutzy blond' act, and just that anticipation had done wonders for boosting her morale.
She noticed Amp in the corner again. She walked over and knelt by the girl's side, waving her hand to get her attention.
Amp followed the older woman's movement without twitching. She couldn't see clearly in the dark, but Neena leaned within a few inches of her face. It was obvious she was trying to get her attention.
"Hey. You can read lips, right?"
Amp nodded slowly.
"Good. Then listen up." Neena repeated everything that had been said in the room, in a low voice.
Amp watched carefully, absorbing every word. Her eyes seemed to glow in anticipation.
"You think you'll feel up to doing this?"
"Just tell me what to do, then stay out of my way," came the growled reply.
Neena narrowed her eyes slightly. "I know you want revenge on a few people, but don't do anything foolish once the curtain drops. It'd be a shame for your sister to end up an only child after all time time."
Amp glared at Neena, as if insulted, and crossed her arms in a pout.
Neena simply shrugged and got to her feet, leaving the redhead to sulk in the dark corner. She made her way back over to Doug, doing her best to steer clear of the combatants in the center of the room.
"Got one last request," she said in a low voice. "I need some decent eyewear for this, and I need you to get it for me. It's in my room at the School. You know where that was?" She paused to let him answer. If he didn't, she'd give him the address. "I don't know what condition the place is in, but I can't imagine it'd be good. My room was on the second floor, middle hallway." She added the room number too. "There's a little black box, 'bout the size of a VHS tape. Last I saw, it was in the top drawer of the nightstand." She shrugged. Hopefully it was still there. "I need you get it, and bring it here. There's a space between the wall and the shelves, near the counter on the floor, in the Laundry Supply Room. Leave it there, and I'll take care of the rest."
Neena was still skeptical about Doug's reasons for helping the inmates. But the fact was that he had been totally reliable since the first day she met him, no exceptions. The various care packages and bits of news made camp life, at least an iota, more bearable. Without his help, some of them would never have lasted this long, and they owed him for that. She owed him.
"I don't how you really feel about mutants, Doug, but I hope that once this mess rolls over, we can be friends. Watch your back out there."

Ayesac was on R&R for awhile.. once there, he was told that there was a few mutants in the isolation room during the days briefing, he more was told to do so forcefully, then volunteer to do so.. they know these mutants, and he was warned that they were hostile.. they sent Ayesac because he was seen as expendable.... he knew this was going to happen already, because of werecat but still, wasn't sure if it was her or not. He walked down the hall towards the isolation rooms, with his nightstick sliding against the wall.. clicking between doors as he goes...
Blah Blah Blah thats the most of what Acer heard in the past few minnuts of conversation, he had begain to zone out the others, only thinking to himself..... could he be trusted if he got out of here? Maybe this was the best place for him, then he quickly bannished those thoughts.
He was so so lost in his own liltlle world that what the Streak walked in he barley noticed his friend. After awhile people started to gather in small groups and begain what Acer thought, mass histeria, but soon relized that they were only sparing. Even in the dark he could make out the streak tossing people like rag dolls, and what he could only desribe as Simba on steroids tossing her fair share of bodies around in these quick class of theirs. Acer knew he was no match for any of these gaurds without his powers, but even with his powers he could'nt control them, hand to hand combat was not going to do him any good now, " hey Raina you can speake now, inspite of youre collar, please teach me how to control my powers," he then heard a faint tapping sound in the distance. He turned to the gaurd named Doug" are you alone Doug? cause something is outside." He heard the noise growing louder " and its coming this way."
Onyx was feeling rather queasy at the time she left the Canteen. She had eaten rather a lot with Calley, Geo and Syn and now she simply wanted to lie down but where was her room anyway? She had n idea what so ever. She decided to go out for a walk in the City first, just to get her mind off of things. So she did just that and after about half an hour of walking, she was knocked out by someone, or something. ........................................................................................................
Onyx woke up rather painfully. She was held up in some room quite scary cellar too but she didn't quite mind, she had lived in a damp moldy basement for a week about three years ago in one of the worst foster families she had. As Onyx became more aware of where she was, she realized she wasn't alone and that in fact over ten people might be in the room, she could also hear footsteps coming from afar.
She stayed quiet, tied up by her wrists against the wall with heavy chains, she didn't know quite what to say, what if these people were the robots? What had happened to her when she was returning to the Labs? Where was she now? Was she far from the Labs? ''Are you guys robots?'' she said without thinking, hoping that it was a no answer.

ooc: Sorry for all the typos in my recent posts! eye troubles
ic:
Raina heard a whimper from the corner and spied a body just waking up. The person seemed to be in chains. She parted from the group and walked closer to see that it was a she. "No Robots." she chuckeld. "Even though Streak looks like one." she bent down to examine the new person. "What you do to get tossed in here like that?" she questioned looking at the girls wrists and placing her cold hands on them- it would feel soothing she hoped. "eh it doesn't matter, important thing is that you're here now and we're going to help you get out!" She looked around at the others all brainstorming and organizing as more were added to the group. Who could get her out of the chains? She continued to look an then- "Sara?" she called out. "I don't suppose those claws of yours are good for lock picking..." she revealed the girls wrists.
Onyx sighted, so the people weren't robots, just captives like her. OThe girl that had approached her placed her freezing hands on the chains against her wrists and somehow Onyx seemed quite frozen on the spot. She didn't exactly beleive that they weren't robots now, then the girl asked someone called Sara to unlock the chains with her claws.
So this is where the captured Mutants go then, it explained things breifly. ''I was tossed in here, I think because I levitated myself a few inches off the ground and I was spotted.'' she explained not knowing if that was indeed the cause, if so she had been chased for nearly ten minutes before being caught.
She stayed there still frozen, or what appeared to be frozen, waiting for that Sara girl to do her job.
> “I’d rather be ready for the event that unplanned crap happens.”
Sonya/Doug nods to Sara approvingly. It’s important that they know what to expect, so they can take advantage of it when it happens – but it’s equally important that they be able to adapt if – more likely, when – things don’t go according to plan.
> “I’ll need a bit extra food.”
The request, especially whispered to her as it is, is surprising... but ultimately a good sign, Sonya decides. She nods again and replies in the same whisper – not that that makes much difference in a room as crowded as this one -- "That should be easy enough to arrange. Count on it."
More difficult is Neena’s request. "Geez… wish you’d asked earlier. Far as I know, your old school’s flat-out in ruins… I don’t think it still has a second floor." He shrugs. "Not to mention it’s been looted for weeks. I’ll look around, but… well, no promises." She thinks about it for a second and adds "Is there a plan B? Who made the glasses for you in the first place?."
> “I don't how you really feel about mutants, Doug, but I hope that once this mess rolls over, we can be friends. Watch your back out there.”
That’s sweet, she thinks idly. Not that she’s exactly looking for friends at this point, but maintaining some kind of contact with Neena would probably come in handy. "I don’t plan to be around much, after," she responds neutrally – and honestly enough, though she’s beginning to think that ‘Doug’ might be an identity worth preserving after all – "…but I’ll drop you a line if I can."
> "I think we've only got limited time before they check in on Doug."
She’s about to protest when she realizes just how quickly inmates are being dumped in this room… the mirror-skinned guy and the small emo girl had appeared in just the few minutes since she’d closed the door behind her. Not that Doug’s presence inside the detention cell will raise too many eyebrows, but it’s best not to let any suspicion grow.
> “Are you alone Doug? cause something is outside and its coming this way."
OK, OK… I get it. Time to leave the inmates to their wrestling matches and go back to pretending to be a guard.
She gives a quick ironic salute to Neena and slips out the door, locking it behind her as Raina ministers to the newest arrival. Once the door closes, she can hear the rattling sound Acer had referred to, the sound of a nightstick clicking along the wall, and plants herself in a classic bored-guard position to await the newest arrival.
