The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Onyx glared at Raina, she was seriously telling her what to do, nothing could make her change her mind. ''Yeah, whatever.'' she said under her breath as she walked alongside the wall to find herself a comfortable spot. ''When you guys finnish the trainning you think will be useful, let me know.'' she said irritated and glared once more at the scene.
''Unless, you want me to help out in some way, then i'dd be glad to help.'' she said, her mood was terrible at the moment, not only was she tired and cold but she was hurting badly. Her arm; although she didn't know, was broken and she had received a nasty throw at the head. But overall she was always in a rather bad mood.

"Take it easy, m'friend," came a calm woman's voice from somewhere near him. "That's just another friend. We're safe, for the time being."
The woman's voice sounded so comforting, enough to where that Nathan actually did relax. He watched the practice scene with half-closed eyes. He was so tired. Not to mention the arduous beatings he had taken inside the cafeteria and outside just to be placed in here. His whole body ached with bruises. He quietly drifted of to sleep...and he dreamed.
He dreamed he was falling, falling out of the sky...but that wasn't all. He was on fire. His whole body, completely immersed in a roaring inferno. "Odd," he thought. "I don't feel any pain at all."
As if that was the trigger, an enormous pain traveled down his back. From where his neck connected to his shoulders to half a foot above his waistline. He awoke at that instant writhing on his stomach trying to find a position that didn't trigger the unbearable sensation. Then suddenly, the pain began to recede. Nathan then realized that his breathing was labored and he was drenched in sweat. He must have cried out when he was dreaming because he was surrounded by a group of mutants asking if he was ok.
"I'm fine," he said while he was picking himself up and dusting himself off. "I'll be ok, besides we have bigger things to worry about."
After he said this he settled back into his original position with his back to the wall. He silently began to ponder what had just happenned. He recalled something an old man had once said to him. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And if it does kill you...well you're not gonna know it anyways." Nathan silently began to wonder where he would go after he escaped the camp. He knew he couldn't return home. At least not for any period of time. "A problem for another day," he said to himself. "But first I would have to get out of here."
As Acer half heartly spared with his two sparring mutants, he secreacly watched the cene between the new girl and Raina go down, he could'nt hear what was being said but he knew by their facial expressions that it was a tea party. Just as soon as Acer was prepaired to take his leave he, not wanting a real altercation to go down, (not that he cared, right? only to keep the group strenth's up, right?) he questioned himself, the new girl left Raina to sit opposite of the mini fight club going on in the room. Acer was again ready to approach the young mutant when he was startled by a horrifying scream. At first he thought that a group of gaurds finally cought on to what was happing, thought they came to kill all of mutants in the room, but was relieved when he discorverd that it was only Nathan having a nightmare. He walkked over to his friend, "hey Angleboy, having nightmares?" he asked in a playful tone, that also hinted a bit of corcern for his new friend, "you know, dreams are nothing more than a past event, lost in a mystery," he said to him. Looking at Nathan's confused stare he finished, " nightmare are a warning mixed in riddle" he concluded. Acer was pretty sure that Nathan was more confused than ever, but Acer knew what he said, he knew despite his young age, he was rich in wisdom beyond his years.
