Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

Announcements

With little warning, the rip between universes began to self-mend. All non-return travel was suspended as soon as changes were detected and as of 0:00 on July 1, 2018, the last communications were cut of between worlds. Those who traveled far or those who’d been caught unaware now find themselves stuck on the wrong side of the universe.

The convergence of Universe 1 and Universe A has officially ended. Now, only MRO remains. Players may finish their current rip-related threads, but no new threads may be created. Feel free to tell us how your characters will be saying Rest in Peace, RIP.

Just so you know, the Weapon S SUPER pseudo-children will be staying on this side of the RIP!

Expect the Annual MRO Survey very soon. We’re reworking a few thing for this year’s survey, putting on the finishing touches for you.

PLOT NEWS

As mentioned in the Announcements, the RIP is closing, so you can have your characters react to what happened and where they ended up, and your MRO side characters can deal with the loss of AV friends (or being stuck away from their home universe.)

For Syndicate members, there is a change in leadership! Poseidon has fallen and his sister has taken control! Jayda Cervantes will be staying an NPC, so the faction can stand on its own with the membership.

If you have plot ideas, don’t keep them to yourself! If they’re small, then post them on the Plot Ideas board or PM a mod to help you iron out the details. If they’re large, send them to <mutantrevolver@gmail.com> for approval!
