Eye Color: Incredibly dark blue eyes

Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: He has a large tattoo of the number 16 on his back.
Other features: N/A
Everyday clothing style: He normally wears a plain white T-shirt with jeans and running shoes. When he's going to workout he wears a white or beige wife beater instead of a T-shirt. Character
Personality: On first glance, someone could mistake Joe for that stereotypical jerk at the gym who yells at you for being on his equipment and makes fun of you for lifting less than him. Joe is the complete opposite of that actually, he's actually a pretty quiet guy who'll find almost anyway not to bother you. He's a pretty passive guy who enjoys the simple things like taking nature walks or fishing with friends. He is protective of his friends, in a physical way, he thinks they should be able to stand up for themselves emotionally or verbally. He sort of keeps his feelings bottled up but if someone really gets to know him he'll open up and be more of a joking comical guy.
Hobbies/ Interests: His main hobby is working out or training, sure it seems a little stereotypical but since he wants to be a boxer he should probably be doing those things.
Job or part-time job and description: None at the moment but he is training to become a professional boxer.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Joe isn't afraid of much, but one thing he is afraid of, is aliens. Not the movie, or any movies actually, he's just really freaked out by the idea of another sentient race abducting people, performing experiments on them, and then dropping them off and wiping their memory.
Special talents: The only real special talent he has is like, movie trivia, he's just good at remembering things he sees in movies.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: He is a good guy although sometimes he borders on neutral. He can be helpful to people he barely knows and a downright godsend if anyone needs something moved. However, when it comes to right and wrong he becomes more neutral because something he deems right, like stealing for a good cause, can be a bad thing in terms of law or even other people's beliefs.
Mutations
Mutation description: He has the ability to absorb materials he can touch and then coat his body in these materials. With these materials comes a slight boost in his durability. He can only absorb mineral based materials, so things like iron, granite, etc. When he absorbs a material he just absorbs its properties, so the original object is still there. The coating of his body is about an inch thick, it's just thick enough to act as another layer of skin but still, give off bulk and protection. The coating starts at the area where he touches a material and then spreads from there. It can take anywhere from 3-10 seconds to coat himself. When he is coated he looks about the same as he normally does, the only difference is a slight growth in size and width, and all his skin now is a material. He can manually break his coating but if he doesn't it will break off on its own after a half hour. When the coat comes off it's like a cast, it splits down the middle and has a perfect imprint of Joe on the inside. If he manually breaks it off than it looks like broken pieces of a cast.
Strengths: The material itself makes him harder to injure but it does weigh him down as much as the layer can, the layer does act as a second skin. The material is malleable and won't affect his movement, besides the added weight. The coating makes him practically immune to slashing or piercing attacks. The coating gives his punches a little more strength but nothing too major.
Weaknesses and Limitations: The absorbed material still has the same properties so if it can be melted or broken as a separate, then the same can be done when it's on him. Depending on his coating, lighting attacks will do even more damage to him than normal. He doesn't have complete control of what he absorbs, he can consciously suppress absorbing something but if he is caught by surprise, like tripping and falling on concrete, then he would absorb the material. He can still be bruised and break bones while coated. He can't absorb liquids, nonmineral based solids, or gases. If something gets too hot like he's coated in iron and someone starts shooting fire at him, then it will burn him and he'll break the coating off immediately. If he's going to coat himself in a material he has to physically touch it or it won't coat him. His body is completely coated when he touches a material and the material will affect his hearing and eyesight. His hearing is affected because the material coats around his ears making it almost like he's wearing earplugs. His eyesight can be affected if he's coated in reflective metal because it can leave his vision blurry, the coating will also weigh down his eyelids so keeping his eyes open can become hard after a while.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: He is stronger than most normal people and has enough stamina to last 12 straight rounds before he really starts sweating. He can also take a lot of physical punishment when it comes to getting punched.
Fighting Style: He has trained since he was 14 in boxing as a swarmer, and recently he has begun training as a slugger but if it comes down to a fight he'll stick with swarming. He wouldn't say he was a professional fighter but since he's had four years he's definitely good enough to hold his own against people of similar levels or slightly better than him.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Since he's a swarmer he hits fast and can easily overwhelm his opponent with punches. Even though he has better reach than most swarmers, his style still is an up-close style so any real range that's outside of his reach he suffers. He's also taller than most swarmers making him a bigger target than the style is really meant for.
History Of Your Character
Joe was born an a rather cold day in April, to a normal family. In fact, everything about Joe was pretty normal, nothing really stood out about him. This normalcy did make him an occasional target for bullying, it got bad enough that he would literally run home every day being chased by at least two people. When he was about 10 or 11 he got a punching bag in his room and started training with some old videos of Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Mike Tyson. From all this training he gained a pathetic right hook, but, that was all he really needed to send the message across that he wasn't to be messed with. When he was 14 he decided to actually learn how to box, so, he found himself a coach who could train him well. For the next two years Joe went through a complete change. Now he had lots of noticeable muscle, he was getting taller, and he was learning how to fight. When he was seventeen, his mutation finally happened, luckily no-one was around him so it was okay. What happened was, he had just gotten home and he brushed his hand up against the wall. He actually didn't even notice what happened until he looked down at his hand, needless to say, he sort of freaked out. That was nothing, because when he looked into the mirror and saw that he was completely covered in the wall, well, to be quite honest he fainted. When he came to the wall that was coating his body was laying on the floor, like something peeled it off. He got up and walked over to the wall again, thinking to himself that that didn't just happen. Of course, when he touched the wall that same thing happened again. After a few months he basically could control when he did and didn't absorb whatever he touched. In that time he also figured out that whenever he absorbed a material it added to his strength so he began working out a lot more. One day, about a year later, he got a call talking about some school for the gifted.
Roleplay
What’s your OOC alias?: Dragonpainter, feel free to call me Dragon or just Drag
Where did you learn about this site?: I looked up "x-men rps" on Google and this was the first result.
Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Nope
Sample RP: "One...two," he muttered as he hoisted a barbell up and down. He must've looked kinda strange, inclining 250 pounds by himself with relative ease. "Six, and done with one set," he basically swung the barbel back onto the rack and shot up from the bench. He walked over to a water fountain and got a quick drink before his phone started to ring. He fiddled around in his pocket looking for his phone, he pulled it out on the second to last ring, "You got Joe...what do you mean?... Can I at least shower here before I see you? Alright, see you then I guess." He headed to the showers and washed up in less than three minutes. He got changed in about the same time and ran back home. When he got there it was empty but there was a note on the table telling him to go to New York and find some school for the gifted. Now, he thought he knew what this was all about but there was really only one way to know for sure. He walked over to the fridge, still holding the note, and pulled out some leftover pasta from the night before and began heating it up in the microwave. He continued reading the note and saw that the school was already expecting him so he should just leave tomorrow. He sighed, pulled out the pasta, and ate it as fast as humanly possible. Once he finished, he figured there was no real point in sleeping until tomorrow, he could always sleep on the bus after all. So, after a short amount of deliberation he left his house and jogged to the bus station.
