Character
Personality: Often times a loner and soft-spoken Auburn isn't one to usually be found in the center of a crowd but rather on the outside edges looking in. Often considered a bit of an airhead they aren't the brightest tool in the shed, but when push comes to shove They have the perseverance to prove themself. They're self-conscious of both their mutation and the scars it causes choosing to cover as much skin as they can to hide them and telling anyone to ask that they have your average healing mutation than the transfer ability they actually have to keep people from worrying about them.
They hold others in high regard and often ends up putting others on a pedestal without realizing it and believes they should do everything they can to help them succeed at the cost of their own if need be.
Being in pain so often being tied up with being successful for so long has had a serious drawback though. The two have become linked in their mind so that normal praise or rewards no longer works for them. As such they have been known to injure themself to feel like they've accomplished something. They know it's a very bad habit and has tried to stop but to no avail so far.
Hobbies/ Interests: They love listening to music or getting lost in a good book. It's actually not to unusual to find them sitting around somewhere or walking down the street with their nose in a book and headphones firmly over their ears. They also really enjoy movies and games and can spend hours watching or talking about them.

Mutations
Pain for one
Mutation description:
To put it plain and simple Auburn is an injury sponge. Anything that's wrong with someone they can take away and give to themself. They can't take away fatigue, or illness but any non-lethal physical ailment they can remove at they cost of their own health.
There's a smaller almost useless regenerative ability in play as well. It's barely able to shorten normal healing times at all, but it does they keep their muscles from atrophying as badly as a normal person if confined to a bed or if having to wear a cast for long periods. This allows them to get back to normal almost as soon as the injuries they took on have healed.
Strengths: The biggest use for their ability is to keep the rest of the team going. If one of the heavy hitters is taken out they can put them back in to continue fighting.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Besides the obvious drawbacks the biggest weakness is that overuse can cause them to pass out and some part of them has to be touching the one they're healing the entire time for it to work. Small things take a few seconds but larger or more complex injuries can take longer to completely transfer over. They can't turn this mutation off so it's constantly in effect. They have been known to wear gloves along with their normal attire in crowded places to make skin contact as unlikely as possible.

the story Of Your Character
Auburn discovered their power by accident. One day in middle school while they were playing on the playground after school one of their friends tripped and scraped his knee. They held out a hand to help the boy up and the cut disappeared. The friend made jokes about them being magic but didn't really think much about it until they went to use the restroom and noticed his own knee was scratched up.
As time passed they began to realize that something weird was going on. Their parents just thought they were a klutz since they seemed to always have something going on. They were afraid to say anything though given that the area of the world they lived in wasn't the most accepting of oddities.
It was after an accident at a local farm that cemented in him the truth that he wouldn't be accepted here. A farm hand had been kicked by a bull and had his arm snapped. Since Auburn's house was closer than the main farm building he had come to their door to wait to for someone to take him to the hospital.
They made a mistake though and shook his hand when the guy offered for the trouble. The injury healed on the farm hand and copied itself on them. Of course word spread about what happened some in the town believed them to be blessed while others spit at them when they passed for being a mutate. It took some internet searching but they eventually came across a school in New York that seemed promising and started filling out paperwork and making calls.

Auburn sighed as they gathered the rest of their things from airport security and started toward his gate. He was going to miss this place, after all it was all they'd ever known. Yet now that his secret was out there was no way they could stay. He took a seat near a glass wall overlooking the runways and out on their headphones. Now that he was able to think about it might be nice to not have to be afraid anymore. To not have to worry about getting beat up every time he went to school or even stepped out of the house. If the brochures were to be believed then they would really be able to be themself for the first time since they were found out.
They sat watching the planes take off and land until their flight was called. They took one last look out the windows at the rolling, green hills they called home for so long as they gathered their things and joined the line forming to get on the plane. This was going to be the biggest adventure of their life sure they were sad to have to leave but at the same time they couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for them.
