The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Skye smiled back, waiting for just a few moments as she listened to the exchange. She was sticking around? Good. She at least had something to look forward to after work now. Bidding a brief goodbye, she made her way back to work, now mostly just cleaning up; there'd be no new customers as the kitchen was shutting down, and anyone else would just be heading to the bar area, which was another entity entirely.
She'd passed out the last of her checks, and then wiped down the tables, and began sweeping the emptier parts of the dining area. Once that was done, she'd finished cleaning everything, she picked up the check from the table where her date was waiting, and then made her way to the back.
When she emerged, she was no longer wearing her revealing uniform, but a pair of jeans, and her black hoodie, with her hood pulled up. "Ready to go?" she said with a wink.
It didn’t take as long as it normally would have to convince her roommates to go ahead and leave her behind while she waited for Skye to finish work. Apparently those guys at the other table were about as appealing and interesting to her roommates as Skye was to Allyssa that night.
”Be safe,” Allyssa said to her friends as they got ready to leave.
And then she was alone at the table. Though, that just meant that Allyssa was able to shift her chair a bit, turning herself so that she could see Skye easier as she made her way around the tables while she slowly ate her cake. Finally, after Skye had been in the back for a while, Allyssa saw her reemerge, this time dressed much differently. Standing, Allyssa smiled back at Skye. ”I sure am,” she replied. ”Did you have anything in mind for tonight?”

When she got back, it was just the one girl at the table; she guessed the others had gone on at their friend's request. Either way, both women appeared to be free, and Skye was glad to be out of her uniform. Well, not out of it so much as had a pair of jeans and her hoodie thrown over it. Either way, she was now in her preferred dress. As per usual, when she got close, her hair went from its excited yellow back to its plain Jane brown.
"In mind? Not really, no. I'm new to the city, anyway. I only recently have been able to find my way home," she said with a nervous chuckle.
Allyssa nodded when Skye said that she didn’t really have anything planned. Tonight hadn’t exactly been planned, not this twist it had taken, anyway. ”Well, let’s get out of here at any rate,” Allyssa suggested. She never really liked hanging out at her work, so she figured it would be the same for Skye. Smiling, Allyssa grabbed Skye’s hand and made her way out of the bar.
After walking a little way down the street, Allyssa looked over at Skye. ”We could go for coffee,” Allyssa suggested. Then her smile grew playful, anticipating the potential of the night. ”Or, we could just skip all of that…”

Skye laughed, nodding. "Yeah, I'm definitely up for that," she said brightly, pulling the hood of her hoodie over her head as she took the other woman's hand. Walking was nice, especially with someone as easy on the eyes as--she never got the woman's name. "You know, in all the excitement, I never got your name," she said, blushing lightly.
"Well, at first I was going to say coffee, but I like the second option a lot better..." she said with a mischievous grin, biting her lip a little. "Well, I don't live far from here, and my aunt and uncle won't be home for awhile..." She smirked a little more.
Allyssa blushed slightly as well when Skye pointed out the fact that she hadn’t shared her name. ”I totally forgot about that, since I knew yours,” Allyssa said, glancing over at Skye. At eye level, she noticed, thanks to the heels on her shoes. ”I’m Allyssa.”
And then Skye said that she liked her second idea much better, and Allyssa’s smile widened, even more seeing how she bit her lip. ”That sounds like a good plan,” she told the taller woman. ”Because I would not be surprised if at least one of my roommates has already made it home with company the way they were going.”

She giggled a little. "It's fine, it happens. I mean most people don't give their names to the waitress, and we only give ours because they tell us to," she said with a shrug. "That's a nice name, very pretty. It suits you," she said with a wink, biting her lip a little again.
"Well, it's not a long walk from here," she said with a smile as she led the other woman down the street. She hoped that Blaine and Lee wouldn't be home for awhile. But the way this night was going, the odds were looking to hopefully be in her favor.
Allyssa blushed slightly when Skye commented on her name being pretty, that it suited her. ”Thanks,” she murmured. And smiled wider when Skye said that it wasn't far too her place. ”Good, not sure I could keep my hands off you if it was a long walk,” Allyssa said with a grin and a squeeze of Skye’s hand.
Then she looked over, her head tilted slightly. ”Is your hair always yellow? I mean, when you're not around me, is it?”

"You're not the only one who'd have that problem," she murmured with a coy grin, squeezing Allyssa's hand in return. Then, she asked about her hair, and she smirked.
"It's part of my mutation; my hair changes depending on my mood," she said, then gave a snort. "Yeah, let's give a teenage girl emotion based powers, what can go wrong there?" She gave another giggle. "I'm still figuring out meanings, but it was pink most of the time you were there," she said with a shrug as they made their way to Blaine's apartment. It was only a few blocks away, so they didn't take long to get there.
Once upstairs, she took out her key, unlocking the door and slipping her hoodie off to reveal the hideous uniform top.
Allyssa felt a little thrill when she heard Skye say that she’d have problems keeping her hands to herself as well. Most definitely promising for the night, she thought with a smile over at Skye.
Then Skye was telling her about her mutation, and Allyssa listened intently. That was interesting. She hadn’t seen the pink, but had seen the yellow hair. ”Your name suits you perfectly, then,” said Allyssa as she smiled over at Skye. ”With rainbow coloured hair. Though, I have to say I prefer seeing your brown hair. It’s rather pretty.”
By this point, they had reached what had to be Skye’s place, and after heading up the stairs, Lee watched as she unlocked the door. And then unzipped her hoodie to reveal her quite revealing uniform top. ”You know, you make that shirt look damn good.”

Skye blushed when she mentioned preferring the brown hair. "Thanks. It doesn't get as much exposure now, because I rarely ever feel....nothing," she smiled. "But I have to admit, I enjoy the little bit of off time. Though you will miss one hell of a light show later," she said with a sly smirk.
And then she commented on the godawful shirt. Skye shuddered, pulling it over her head and tossing it on the floor. "Maybe, but it looks much better that way," she said with a wink.
”I wasn't exactly feeling nothing most of the night, either,” Allyssa admitted to Skye with a wink. And if was true, from fun of the casual flirting, to surprise excitement, expectation…
And then Skye mentioned a light show, and Allyssa raised an eyebrow. ”As… Interesting as that must be,” Allyssa said, a confident grin growing on her face. ”I'm sure I can distract you from the fact that there won't be any lights.”
By this point, they were inside the apartment, the door closed behind them. Allyssa unzipped her coat after she had made the comment about Skye’s shirt. Only for Skye to remove said shirt. Allyssa only glanced at the shirt on the floor briefly before her eyes returned to Skye, doing a quick once over before looking back up at her face. ”You know what,” Allyssa murmured before stepping closer to Skye. ”I think you’re right. With that, she closed the remaining distance to her lips.

She smiled at the comments, and Skye had to admit, it was kind of nice to not have a light show to go with it. Even if her feelings were quite obvious by this point. "I'm sure you can~" she murmured.
Finally, their lips met, and Skye's arms wrapped eagerly around Allyssa, returning the kiss that she'd been waiting for all night. After a few moments, she broke the kiss, moving away from the other woman to remove the couch cushions and then bent over to pull out the couch. There was a reason she just slept on the couch as is, but...well they were going to be cramped otherwise.
As they kissed, Allyssa felt Skye’s arms wrapping around her, and she raised her own arms up, one around Skye’s back, the other to run her hand through Skye’s hair.
And then she felt Skye pulling away. Allyssa was confused at first, frowning slightly as she watched the other woman moving across the apartment. To start pulling cushions off the couch and pulling it out into a bed. Allyssa was still a little confused, but at least it was more promising than she had initially thought when Skye broke the kiss. So Allyssa followed, slipping her coat off on her way, to meet Skye at the side of the pull out couch.
”So, where were we?” Allyssa whispered, tucking some of Skye’s hair behind her ear before leaning in for another kiss.

She was reminded very quickly why she just slept on the couch the way it was. This thing had to be older than she was by about a decade. However, she was sure her date was getting a good view of her bent over, grunting and groaning as she finally got the couch to do what it was supposed to do.
When she finally got it, she wiped her brow, and turned to find herself face to face with Allyssa, who brushed her hair aside and kissed her again. "Oh, somewhere right about here," she murmured softly, reaching around to unzip that pesky dress. This was odd though, seeing as how the room wasn't lit up. Usually it was pulsing pink like some odd Valentine's Day rave or something.
