The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

A little trick that he figured out? Lee frowned slightly as Blaine showed her his thumb. Her own hand reaching up, Lee let her fingers light ruin over the mark on him thumb. ”Or, you know, you could have opened it,” Lee said looking up at Blaine before giving a slight shrug.
Then a teasing gleam entered her eyes and she smiled at Blaine. ”But I get it. In just that irresistible that even you can't keep your hands of me,” Lee joked before giving Blaine another soft, short kiss.
"Hey, how many people do you know that can use their thumb as a bottle opener?" He asked with a rather cocky smile. Oh, he was definitely showing off by this point.
"Maybe. It just...I like being this close," he said, figuring 'it feels right' was a poor choice of words. When she kissed him again, he did his best to return it, but it was over too quickly.
He took a sip of his beer, once again comfortable.
”Good point,” Lee allowed. ”But that doesn't mean you should go around hurting yourself simply because you can't feel it.” As she finished speaking, Lee looked at Blaine with a raised eyebrow.
But as Blaine continued speaking, the teasing left Lee's face to be replaced by just a happy smile. ”I like being this close, too,” Lee said. Maybe a bit too much, Lee thought.
Blaine's teasing smirk, on the other hand, only grew. "If I don't feel it, am I really hurt?" he asked with a slight chuckle, still sipping occasionally on his beer. He cut himself off at two when Lee was around, so he was trying to make this second one last.
He savored this moment; it was rather nice, just being with her, and words weren't always needed. Like right now. He let out a soft breath, a contented smile on his face.
When she heard Blaine, Lee actually turned to look at him. ”Of course you can be hurt without feeling it,” Lee said, then shook her head at him.
Still, there wasn't much that she could do, Lee thought she reached for her coffee. Especially since Lee had to admit that she preferred feeling Blaine's arm around her shoulders than him needing to move it to open the beer.
And they still had a few hours before she would have to go home, Lee realized with a smile. Lots of time to simply sit like this.
