The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He heard her breathed words as plain as day, thanks to his keener-than-average hearing. He smiled as she began to turn red again, and he felt his own cheeks flushing as well. He gave a light shudder as he felt her fingers on the back of his neck. And then...the space between them was closed, but this time, he wasn't the one to do it, and he had to admit it was a pleasant surprise.
His arms once again wrapped around her, pulling her close. This most definitely wasn't how he expected this whole ordeal would end, but who was he to complain?
His arms wrapped back around her, pulling her closer to him on the couch, as Lee's hands moved slightly, one hand on the back of his neck, the other getting his shoulder. And as the kiss continued, it got harder for Lee to breath, her heart racing.
Finally, Lee pulled away, eyes still closed, breathing heavy, shaking her head slightly. He was still naked sitting there, not even the blanket over his lap anymore, as they were kissing. Opening her eyes, Lee looked right at Russel still shaking her head slightly.”You need clothes,”she whispered.

And just as quickly as it began, it was over. When she shook her head, he knew that was it, but again, he couldn't complain. "I...yeah. But we didn't really have a solution for that," he murmured softly, looking away for a brief few seconds. "You know...I could always shift, and you could just walk me out. I go to a more appropriate shift once in a secluded area, and we go our separate ways. No harm done, right?" He gave a slight shrug.
It was true, they hadn't come up with a solution to his clothing problem. If they had, he wouldn't still be sitting there naked. But as Russel continued talking, Lee's thumb that was still on the back of his neck continued to slowly run up and down.
And talking about going their separate ways after she walks him out in dog form.”That would be one way to do things,” Lee said, a small crease forming between her brows as she spoke.

She was still stroking the back of his neck with her thumb, and he had to admit, he liked it. From her reaction, he didn't think she liked his plan all that much, and his shoulders sort of slumped. He had to admit this woman--he didn't even know her name--was pretty hard to figure out. One minute she's pissed at him, then just sort of cross, then they're kissing on the couch, and now...he wasn't entirely sure what was going on.
"Did you have any other ideas? I mean, as much as I like what we're doing here....we're not really making any progress." He gave a slight chuckle, shrugging just a little.
As much as he liked what they were doing? Well, Lee supposed that had to be true, he had been the one who kissed first. She had been enjoying it too, surprising as that was to her, as the entire situation was, she was enjoying it.
That was part of the problem, considering the entirety of the situation they currently found themselves in. They were both enjoying the kissing, and Russel was already naked.
”That's part of the problem,” Lee said with a slight frown. ”Continuing right now, with your lack of clothing, we're bound to make progress to a point I'm not ready for.
“But,” Lee continued, a small smile coming back to her face before she leaned forward for a quick kiss. ”I am enjoying this.”

He gave another small sigh as he thought. "I understand. But I have no logical way of finding clothes just lying around. Unless....you want to go with the original plan, but instead of going our separate ways, I can be back in about an hour? And I'd likely be too tired to do anything more than what we've been doing," he mused, trying to think of something that would work for the both of them.
And then, she kissed him again. "I'm glad. I much prefer this to the angry you," he said with a small chuckle.
Lee listened carefully as Russel have an alternate idea for what they could do to solve their little clothing problem. One that would likely also help keep things from progressing beyond a point she'd be comfortable with.
”I think that would work wonderfully,” Lee said with a smile. Then Lee heard Russel saying he was glad, that he much preferred this to her being angry, and Lee couldn't help but laugh. Of course he preferred this to her anger, somehow (and thinking about it, Lee honestly didn't know how it had happened), they had ended up like this rather than her hitting him out calling the police.
But Lee was still sitting there with her arms around Russel's neck, and if they were actually going to solve the clothing problem, she was going to have to move. So Lee reluctantly removed her arms, then stood up. Stepping over to where she had left her purse on the floor, Lee crouched down to retrieve it.
”Coffee?” Lee asked over her shoulder as she stood again. ”I'll be grabbing some on my way back you want one?”

He smiled, glad she liked his plan. And he too, stood to his feet. "Coffee actually sounds great," he replied lightly, his brain still somewhat trying to comprehend what it was exactly that had transpired.
Once ready, he shifted back into Russel, and they began their walk. After a short distance, the leash was removed, and he ducked into an alley, shifted back human, and then into a golden retriever to run the rest of the way home. Well, maybe not run, but he did keep a fairly brisk pace the entire time.
Once home, he grabbed his gym bag, complete with two changes of clothes, and just sort of put it in his mouth. Then, he shifted back golden retriever, walked out, and pulled on a sock that was wedged under the door, effectively closing it. Then, began the trek back to her apartment. Luckily, he knew his way around fairly well, or maybe it was a dog's keen sense of direction, but regardless, he made it back.
He ducked into a nearby alley, shifted back human, and got dressed in a pair of faded jeans and a band tee-shirt. Then, he slung the gym bag over his shoulder and continued on to her apartment, knocking on the door once he got there.
It didn't take much longer for them to be out of the apartment, and now it felt extremely weird to be walking the dog like this. Quite awkward, really, when she thought that only a few minutes earlier she had been kissing his human form.
It didn't take long before Russel was pulling at the leash toward the entrance of an alley. So Lee crouched down, unhooked the leash and the Corgi was heading into the alley. Only for a golden retriever to leave the alley and head down the street.
Which left Lee alone to think. But first she had to respond to Rachel's messages, since her sister had already started blowing up her phone wondering where she was. That done, Lee made a couple stops, grabbing the coffee last, before heading back to the apartment.
And day on the couch thinking as she sipped her coffee. What the hell had she been thinking? She had found Russel naked in her apartment, and instead of hitting him, throwing him out, or calling the police, she had ended up making out with him?
It was nothing like her, and yet despite the extreme awkwardness, it hasn't actually felt wrong .
Then Lee heard a knock on the door, and she jumped. If she were being completely honest with herself, there was a part of her that hadn't expected Russel to come back. And another part that hadn't wanted him to.
But Lee stood up and walked over to the door, Oppenheim l opening it to see Russel standing there, thankfully fully dressed this time.
Opening the door wider, Lee have him a slightly nervous smile. ”Hey,” she said softly. ”Got your coffee on the table.”

From the alley, to his apartment, back to her apartment, and even while waiting on her to answer the door, Jay found himself wondering. Mostly, he was wondering what the hell he was doing; he had his escape! He could have stayed home, never gone back, and been free of this whole fiasco. But no, he came back and got dressed, putting himself back in an awkward situation for the chance of locking lips with that hot mom again. Sure that probably was all he had a chance of, but...he couldn't resist. And so...here he was.
The door opened, and he smiled as he made his way inside. It wasn't near as awkward now, but at the same time, it was...strange. "Thanks," he murmured, making his way back to the couch and sitting where he had been only hours before. Picking up his coffee, he sipped on it, looking over at her.
He gave another smile as his mind wandered and he sipped consistently on his black coffee. "Okay, so this is much better now," he commented with a dry chuckle, as he set his bag on the floor next to the couch.
At least he smiled when she opened the door. That was a good sign, right? It must be, Lee decided a moment later, closing the door after Russel had stepped inside.
Following him a little slower, Lee picked her own coffee up before she sat down on the couch beside Russel. Taking a sip of her coffee as she leaned back and looked over at Russel, returning his smile. ”I'd have to agree with that,”
Then Lee glanced around the apartment her lower lip between her teeth. Just because this was far less awkward than it had been earlier, didn't mean that it wasn't sit l still awkward, and that she wasn't nervous. ”So, the walk wasn't too bad, was it?” They probably should talk about something, afterall.

And then the awkwardness slowly began to creep back in again, but Jay wasn't exactly surprised. After all, the culmination of the last five days just reeked of awkwardness. Especially considering how it should have ended versus what was actually happening. He nursed his coffee, occasionally making eye contact.
"It was more of a brisk jog, but it wasn't too bad. I may be far removed from my track days, but I still got a little gas in the tank," he said with a flirty grin. "Really, it's the constant shifting that'll get ya. It's instant, and one quick shift doesn't take too much energy, but doing one after another, paired with the running really adds up." He gave another grin as he took another sip of his coffee. Then he wiped his brow on the back of his hand.
"The golden retriever form is almost an extension of myself, as often as I use it," he mused out loud.
A brisk jog, whole in the form of a golden retriever. Lee nodded as she shouted her coffee. He had said he would run over to his place, after all,so it made sense. And if he thought he was far removed from his track days, Lee's eyes glanced at Russel's arms, remembered what the rest of his body looked like earlier… Lee thought that he hadn't let himself go much as he was implying.
Then he was explaining a bit about his powers, sort of how they actually worked, and Lee nodded. ”That makes sense,” Lee said, looking up at Russel's face once again to see the grin there. She gave him a smile in return.
Followed by Russel wrong his brow as if to write sweat away. ”I hope it didn't tire you out too much,” Lee said, her smile fading a bit as her eyes drifted down to the coffee cup in her hand. ”I guess it's only fair to tell you, considering the kissing earlier and the fact that you're back. I siphon energy from people, so you're likely going to be even more tired when you leave.” As she finished speaking, the smile now completely of her face, Lee turned slightly to look up at Russel, sideways and through her lashes, to see his reaction.

"Nah, I've done a lot worse," he said with a chuckle, and then shedke a constant thing, or do you have some control over it? Or is it like a little of both?[/color]" However, he did notice that she was no longer smiling, so maybe it wasn't exactly a come on. But he kept a neutral expression, aside from an occasional smirk; something he learned from being on the wrong side of a police interrogation. Never let 'em see your distress or uncertainty. Though he didn't think his smile pissed her off like it did the police, though. Finishing his coffee, he slid a little closer to her.
"I honestly don't mind, as long as it won't leave me disabled or in a coma or something," he said with a laugh, albeit more nervous than he'd intended.
