Most of her clothing style is influenced by either her parents or the styles around her. It’s tough to be your own person when you’re so good at blending in. She often wears shoes that don’t weigh very much.
Siobhan also secretly owns a collection of band t-shirts that she doesn’t wear in public. They are exclusively for her own enjoyment, since she’s never had the confidence to wear them out. Her parents might find out, after all.

Character
Personality: Siobhan is generally a kind person. She’s working on finding her stride in the world, but she struggles with fading into the background. Literally. She talks a lot, gets nervous easily, and notices more than most people. She has a bad habit of working too hard to be interesting or get noticed that can turn some people off right away, but she tends to settle down once she’s comfortable around someone.
Siobhan struggles with anxiety in large crowds or with several people that she does know, so she tends to fall silent or suddenly burst out talking. If she does talk, it’s fast and often indecipherable through her mixed Irish-Korean accent.
She’s really quite sociable, but it takes some time for her to feel comfortable. Her anxiety often leads her to believe things that aren’t true or to think less of herself, so she gets nervous easily. Sometimes it’s just easier to be invisible.
When Siobhan is alone, she’s very much a different person. In a crowd, she’s reserved and quiet. Alone in her room, she listens to loud music and dances wildly to it. Without anyone’s knowledge (and to her parents’ dismay, if they ever found out), she tends to let loose to bands like Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Bring Me the Horizon, and more.
The only time when Siobhan isn’t uncomfortable or anxious is when she’s performing. She often takes part in plays and musicals because it’s far easier to pretend to be another person for a while than to be herself.
Hobbies/ Interests: Baking, playing the oboe and the piano, knitting, skiing, origami, rock music, theatre.
Job or part time job and description: Student in high school
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Fear of large crowds, social anxiety, fear of snakes.
Special talents: Siobhan can make her eyes vibrate, sing, can speak Gaelic and Korean, and can solve a rubix cube in under five minutes.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Good. Siobhan tends to go unnoticed, but she wants to do what’s right in most situations. She just needs to work up the courage to actually do it.
Mutations
Mutation description: InvisibilitySiobhan can turn her entire body invisible at will.
Strengths:- She can turn her entire body invisible at will. This also applies to the clothes that she is wearing, but they must be in direct contact with her skin in order for it to apply. Any object that turns with her (i.e. clothes) must be under two pounds per object.
- She can also turn only certain body parts invisible. If she is focusing, then she can control exactly how much of her body turns with her.
- There is no time limit to her power. Siobhan can be invisible for as long as she would (or would not) like.
- When she is invisible, there is absolutely no way to spot her without physical intervention.
Weaknesses and Limitations:- Siobhan’s powers are tied to her emotions. If she gets nervous, anxious, excited, or even sometimes very happy, she often shifts. It is also not uncommon for her to get stuck invisible if she’s feeling a strong emotion, or to shift without meaning to. For her to be in control of her power, she must be calm, centered, and focused.
- She can only turn objects under two pounds when they are in contact with her skin when she first turns. Once invisible, she cannot turn anything else.
- Her body still has mass and form. She can be felt, hurt, or doused in paint. You just can’t see her body.
- Siobhan also has slightly less mass than the average person of her height and weight category. So far, the doctors have been unable to explain it, and they aren’t sure whether or not it will cause health complications down the line.
- Her invisibility is purely visible, so other senses like smell, touch, taste, and hearing are not affected.
- She can be seen with x-ray vision.
- If she stops touching an object that she made invisible, it instantly becomes visible. There is no delay.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Siobhan is quite weak, and not super fast or flexible. She is, however, very lithe and she has good reflexes.
Fighting Style: Siobhan backs away from fights. She will turn invisible and try to get away if confronted.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Pro: Ha, ha! You can’t see me! Con: Oh, shoot, you’re just gonna punch!
History Of Your Character
Siobhan Soo-Yun Song was born to extremely conservative Roman Catholic parents in Galway, Ireland. Her father had immigrated from Korea in the mid nineties and met her mother, and soon enough, sparks flew. Just a few years later, they were married with four children: Siobhan, her older sister Sybil, and her older twin brothers, Scott and Sean.
Her parents tended to be quite conservative growing up, so they always impressed “good” values on their children. No secular music, no bad movies, no bad words, and no acting out. Siobhan became very good at appearing this way, but skirting the rules.
Siobhan grew up happy and healthy, but she was always shy. Making friends that didn’t run over her was always difficult, and she often found herself fading into the background. Still, she found joy in doing little things like making origami animals and playing music. Her parents also had her participate in local plays to get her out of her shell, and she found that being on stage was one of the only places where she felt important and powerful. The only person outside of theatre groups that she felt like she could be herself around was her sister, Sybil.
The years went by, and things were pretty usual for Siobhan. She studied, spent time with a few people, practiced, and did regular pre-teen things. However, when she was fourteen, there was… an incident.
It was an unusual day. Siobhan had been asked to respond to a question in class and had felt herself go completely red when she opened her mouth. Instead of just going red and silent, though, she disappeared altogether. There was a gasp that rang through the classroom followed by several screams. She ran out of the room and hid in a little alleyway and waited until her limbs reappeared.
Siobhan was sent right home as soon as she returned to the school, and her parents didn’t know what to do with her. They had nothing against mutants, but they had no idea how to actually
raise one. So, after some internet searches, Siobhan was sent off to live in America at the Xavier institute, where she has been for the past two years.

Sample RP:“I just really think you need to put yourself out there, love,” Siobhan’s mother insisted from the other end of the line.
Siobhan sighed as quietly as she possibly could, hoping that her mother wouldn’t hear it through the phone. What a wonder technology was, making it possible for mothers to nag their daughters from a completely different country.
”Mum, you know I have friends, right? I’m doing just fine,” she argued as respectfully as she could. Hopefully her mother would understand that she really was okay in America. She’d spent the past two years at a mutant boarding school, and there she’d made friends and was learning to control her powers. It wasn’t that big of a deal if she wasn’t in every single club.
But the voice on the other end of the line just didn’t seem to get the point. “You have a few friends. Not enough, though. Sybil doesn’t count. You could do… oh, I know! What about acting? You were always so
happy when you were acting!”
The teen turned on her foot with an exaggerated sigh, staring at the wall and hoping against all hope that someone would interrupt her.
”Yes, I suppose I was.” Her fingers played with the hem of her skirt as she wished for the moment to pass so she could get back to living her life.
“Siobhan, just promise me that you’ll look into it, alright?”
”Alright, mum,” she agreed finally.
