The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Eye Color: Brown
Height: 5'5"
Build: Stocky.
Visible mutation: Human
Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Full sleeves, much to her father's horror. A mix of roses and pictures, mostly coloured occasionally outlined. Pieced ears, nose, belly button.
Other features: Lil button nose.
Everyday clothing style: Just this side of frumpy. Comfortable knits and jeans.
Uniform: Logo'ed polo shirt.
Sleepwear: PJs... usually just the shirt or the pants, she never can find both at the same time...
Miscellaneous clothing: Sometimes a headband if it is particularly windy.
Character
Personality: Morgan is friendly, but a bit of a kook. It can be tricky to keep friends with her sense of humor so she has plenty of aquaintences but no bosom buddies, long term relationships or housemates to speak of. Being an only child of a single parent she can tend to be a little selfish when it comes to her time or the attention she expects from others. Given that, her job is somewhat surprising, but it tends to even out her karma in her mind. Plus, the pay is pretty good. Sometimes she visits the locations of the calls she has recieved after the fact, just to have a look at where it went down.
Hobbies/ Interests: Writing terrible, terrible fanfictions. Preferably online. Watching 'cartoons' as her father dubs them.
Job or part time job and description: 911 dispatch callcentre worker. Flexible hours. Good pay. Horrific detail of the lives of others. What's not to love?
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Dispatching to the wrong location causing death. Any 911 call which involves children.
Special talents: She can make a mean grilled cheese. Also she can say the alphabet backwards drunk (but not sober?)
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral. She tends to be non-offensive even in her kookiness, walking a middle ground in most of her life. She feels strongly about some things some times, but doesn't tend to let that spill over into actions which are easily placed in the 'good' or 'bad' book. She's never been to prison, but she's never been on any merit list either.
Mutations Human.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Stronger than your average desk jockey, goes to the gym on a semi-regular basis, also eats a lot of pizza. Not fast. At all. In fact, cardio is the actual devil. Reflexes are good, but not great (she could catch an underarm toss, but not an overarm fastball... not that she plays sports. Stamina-wise depends on the activity: watching anime or writing, unlimited; running, no; walking, not too bad. Flexibility, she can cut her toenails without puffing. Mostly.
Fighting Style: No fighting style. Carries mace. Has never used it.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: N/A
History Of Your Character
Morgan's childhood was average. She was like many of the kids in her class, from a single parent family. Unlike those kids, it was her father who raised her. She didn't remember her mother, but she had left when she was very young. Sometimes if she smelled a certain perfume on the breeze she could almost think of her face, but it could have been a false memory and the scent of a long forgotten babysitter. Because of her parental status she was rarely invited to the kinds of hangouts where the Moms would gossip and drink wine while the kids played together, so she tended to be a bit of a loner. She was also not very good at sharing toys or food, those bargaining chips to young friendship.
Her grades were good enough, but her teacher comments were usually along the lines of 'needs to apply herself more' or 'never hands in assigned work'. She finished school, worked an assortment of odd-jobs, before settling in to something of a routine with the call centre. She didn't feel strongly enough about a 'career' to change away from a job that gave her easy play money, and she had no strong urges to move out of home either. She and her Dad had a good relationship, and the rent she paid to him was a pittance compared with housing prices in the area. She had a group of work 'friends' which she would on occasion go out with, but mostly she tended to be a loner or to spend time with her online friends.

The tap of nails on keyboards, low voices muttering into headsets and the permeating smell of desksnacks filled the air. Morgan pressed her finger firmly between her eyes and tried to keep a gentle tone.
"Ma'm, this line is for emergencies only. I'll ask again, what is the nature of your emegency?"
The shrill voice could be heard even from outside the headset. With her other hand she held the ear pad away from her ear a bit, to save her deafness. Something about a turtle stuck in a stormwater drain.
"Ma'm, I appreciate that... Terrence, was it? Is your family member, but this really is a line for emergencies. Firemen only get cats out of trees in the movies. I can't help you, this line is for humans."
Suddenly Morgan's face dropped and she sat upright in her wheely chair.
"Sorry Ma'm, I misunderstood. What was your address please? Uh-huh. And how long has he been in there? Ok, and has he turned into a turtle before? Do you know the extent of his abilities?" she didn't like to call them mutations, it sometimes put people off "alright Ma'm if you'll please hold the line..."
She pressed a series of buttons on her keyboard and was patched through.
"Hi Gary, yeah, we've got a turtle-shifter-Xgene stuck in a drain." mumbled disbelief from the other end of the line "no, I don't think it's a prank, wasn't one of the artist names I've heard of."
It didn't take too long for the team to locate the older woman standing on the street clutching a teenager's backpack. It took them a while to extract the kid from where he had wedged himself in the drain though.
Freaking mutants, it was like they were trying to get themselves taken less seriously.
