The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Where are you going, where have you been (Utopia plot)
The plot thus far: The Antarctic colony is built, thanks to the industriousness of NPC mutants and the generous philanthropic support of Ragnarok Jaager Worldwide and anonymous donors. Mutants of all sorts are welcome to come tour, or pick out their new home.
The future: Is in your hands, folks. Participation is fizzling. Do we want to continue with the plot in its full Ragnarok-revealed-and-colonists-betrayed glory, or aim for a quicker wrap up?
A few options:
A) Continue the plot in full. The timeline is here, for reference. We'd pick up here:
-November 4th: Marks the first international conflict for Utopia. A young mutant girl in an anti-mutant country with little control of her power accidentally kills other citizens. Utopia defends the mutant and provides her with asylum. The event begins the stark division of the world into pro and anti-mutant camps
-November 5th-January 12th: Tensions get worse. Soon after the events of November 4th the Utopian NPC leader (who is secretly a Ragnarok puppet) founds the Utopian military, much to the disapproval of the anti-mutant world. Ragnarok is behind the scenes fanning the flames while the X-men are doing whatever they can to diffuse the situation. For most mutants in Utopia life is pretty ordinary
-January 13th: Utopia’s NPC leader increases military spending and encourages young, able-bodied mutants to enlist in preparation for a physical conflict
B) Accelerate the timeline, maybe skip some more minor things, and wrap things up with a bang. (AKA: Quick reveal on the Rag ties that causes the project to fall apart, perhaps with UN intervention since we'd legit be a colony of terrorists in the eyes of the world government. Who doesn't like a brawl thread to end their dreams of a mutant-only sanctuary?)
C) Pick a different end (suggestions welcome. With the current plot activity, we should aim for something that can wrap up in a month or two so it doesn't also fizzle.)
What say you, population of MRO? Are we still excited for this plot, or should we wrap it up? Mind you that a wrap up need not be boring~

Mugen
I personally am for either option A or Option B. Elliott has been working on destabilizing the warring crime families and organizations in New York. I can see him taking a break from that to let them fight amongst themselves, and go work with other Ragnarok agents to work on a wrap-up. He really didn't think Jaager wanted a peaceful colony, anyways. That goes against the whole CHAOS extreme thing the organization was going for. He's really one of the few that can connect Ragnarok to Ambrose, through no fault of his own.
I am happy with working with other people to brainstorm, if people want a different option. I really want to put some effort into getting things rolling. I just wish I had the posts to create a third, a character for the sole purpose of causing all those problems in Utopia... thus touching off the division. It's such a shame to have an NPC do something like that.
While Spasm was probably going to avoid direct involvement with Utopia, there is certainly potential to salvage it with the current timeline. I'd be willing togive reactions fron the police as initiating posts. If that works for you of course. Ambrose was of course important to the plot but as I'm normally on I'm willing to help with making this plot advance any way I can.
No worries on Ambrose being gone; the rest of Ragnarok's members are still on board for this. <3
Astrid, I think you mentioned that you were the one planned to play the "child who Utopia rescues" plot-role, but were hesitant to because of her criminal history now? I personally think that makes it even better-in current RW racial protests (Black Lives Matter/shootings of African Americans in recent months), there's a tendency for people to choose sides well before the facts come out. I think it would be awesome if Utopians got up in arms and saved the mutant child, and later the facts of her history start coming out. It would give those who saved her a nice moral dilemma to chew over.
