The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Emerald’s hand was like a sack, no 3 sacks, of cement all packed into one fist, and all slamming into his beautiful, masculine, hansom wannabe, face. Getting hit. Always a good feeling. Ok maybe not. James stumbled back grabbing onto one of the bunks for support to halt his ass from hitting the ground.
A bruise was already darkening under his bristly cheek. His tongue, slid across his lip where it split. Gritting his teeth when he found the coppery taste.
“Oh so a dominatrix, Hmmmm?” He muse trying to regain his dignity. He raised the remote, that was still clutched in his hand, and slammed his thumb against the little red button that would activate Emerald’s collar.
“You’ll learn your place, and the rest of you, follow the good little pritty red head's example.. .. .. GET TO WORK!”

Emerald let out a snarl as pain streaked through her body, causing her to clench her fists in pain. She slammed herself against the wall of the bunk, bitting on her lip, hard. Emerald was especially weak to electricity due to her water abilities but she didn't let it effect her. She stood up, perfectly erect as the pain was going through her body, not moving a muscle, she refused to show weakness in front of this barbarian.
Ruby's eyes widened rushing to her sister instantly, her ears flattened as she held on to her sister. The fox girl didn't feel any of the electricity running through Emerald but she did feel her sister shaking as she attempted to help her get up.
"Please stop! You're hurting my Big sister!" Ruby cried, seeing blood dripping from Emerald's lip as she bit it harder.

That was it. A cold shrill note filled the room. It echoed through the dark hallways. It was accompanied by a low hum- the buzz from raina's collar. Despite the pain she was singing- just enough to create a ring of ice around Emerald's neck to cool her recent shock and block a new one from happening (electricity doesnt travel the same through ice, only water) The song didnt last long. Long enough to place a sliperly bit of ice behind the guard should he take a step back- but long enough too to cool Emerald. Raina pulled the wolf girl to her feet and held her back motioning for the other girls to get behind Emerald. Her neck was black- not longer brusied or charred, it was simply black. The smell of burnt flesh was in the air. Raina ended her song. It still lingered in the air and everyone would have stopped to admire the beauty until they realised it came from a mutant- the guard himself would not be immune to the siren call.
Unknown to anyone uncluding Raina, little scales danced their way down her legs with a greeny tinsh, dissappearing within seconds.
She stared at Emerald and the girls- it was time for them to leave. She wasnt trying to be a hero- she simply ahd nothing left to lose. This time they had to go. Emmy's outburst of violence would not go unpunished and the young girls needed her.
Raina breathed heavily- her thoughts drifting for a moment to Rupert. She stared back at the guard. She'd sing. She'd sing again. She wasnt sure if she even could but if Emmy and the girls could get away- she didnt mind being thrown in solitary. In solitary she could sleep. And forget. Maybe die? She didnt care at this point.
That, trademark, grin spread across his face as he watched Emerald. Ohhhh that felt sooooo good. So very, very, very gooood.
The fact that the little fox girl was asking for her sister’s relief, no, begging was icing on his cake. He tapped the button once or twice before the song started. His featured seemed to melt slightly. Softening with the song.
His hand dropped holding the remote, and he swayed against the bunk beside him. Head lolling forward for a second. Until her song ended.
WTF! He seemed to snap back to attention. Slightly confused. Then realization hit and his face twisted in disgust at the very thought of being manipulated by one of these freaks. “I told you to go to work.” He kept his voice steady, glaring daggers at Raina, then Emerald and Ruby. “Work, or we’ll be deciding between the circle outside” He referred to the circle outside the buildings ment for punishment. He’s seen one of the men out there earlier getting beaten. “ .. .. ..and solitary confinement. If you’re lucky, both.”
Once the violence broke out James burst into a run towards them, the singing slowed him down as he struggled to hold his ears, even after so many years he had never gotten used to his enhanced hearing, his glasses shattered and he tossed the frame to the ground. Stepping in the middle of the group he gave Raina a pissed off look, restraining himself from hurting her. "You mutants know damn well not to use your powers, and especially not to assault the guards." He said turning towards the guard "And you are making an ass out of yourself and all the other guards, these mutants have jobs to report to and I suggest you let them get to it." In his anger Quinn forgot without his glasses the wolf girl might recognize him, he just hoped she wouldn't notice.
Deathstar was laying in her bunk resting her eyes, when a familiar voice flooded her ears, it was Tricity speaking against what happened between Deathstar and Emerald inside the mess hall. "Tric!, How can we side with them, do we as X-men have any pride or dignity?" she says softly as she abruptly interrupts Tricity, "How can we side with them, they tried to kill us" she raises her head off the pillow looking at Emerald conversing with one the sanctuary women. "I know I may come off wrong Tric, But that woman has one more time to piss me off, I held off my rage long enough, this is definitely not the place or time to piss me off" she flops back on the pillow with her face reading frustration.
"This place is literally making me crazy" as she was talking she hears commotion in the background, she cuts off her conversation raising her upper body against the bunk to get a better view. Emerald struck one of the guards, Deathstar braced herself to help her, but stop herself from moving toward them, remembering Emerald took a cheap shot at her in the mess hall she rested her body back on the bunk once more with her arms in the back of her head. when the guard shocked Emerald, Deathstar didn't flinch, she acted as if nothing was happenning at the moment."And I'm the one out of control....." she said to Tricity while turning to her side trying to rest.

Emerald let out a small sigh of relief when the apin subsided. She looked over at Raina, feeling that she now owed the woman something because she had saved her from pain twice. She rubbed the area of skin slightly, letting out a tiny bark of pain.
The wolf girl walked shakily over to Millie, placing her hand on Millies head.
"I am going to send someone over to watch over you. You are not to go with anyone that is not from the mansion and whenever a guard comes I want you to hide under the bunk. Do not let them see you okay? Mama Emmy will be back to get you but if anyone tells you the secret password, you are alowed to go with them."
Emerald heard one of the guard holler for her again and she kissed the little girl on the forehead and with Ruby by her side, both girls went off to thier jobs.
"Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am."
(OOC: Sorry for the length. Just keeping Amp from getting totally lost. )
Amp yawned, and stretched. She sat up on her bunk, and looked around. The world around her was silent as a tomb. Grumbling she climbed down, bare feet touching the cold floor. Where were her shoes? She knelt on the floor, looking under the beds. But no shoes anywhere.
Great.
She plopped onto the bottom bunk, glowering at anyone nearby.
There was no one nearby.
Amp frowned. There was no one at all in the barracks; no guards, no inmates, not a soul. Not only was it silent, it was creepy. She'd have thought she would be thrilled to be depressed on her own. But now that she was....
She shivered, and rubbed her arms. Quickly she stood and hurried to the door, swinging it open a bit harder than intended. Rather than pay any mind, she hurried out of the Barracks to find other people.
Or.... she ran in to the Barracks....
Amp frowned and looked around in surprise. She was in another room, also lined with bunks on both sides. She didn't know there more rooms in the Barracks. No one had mentioned that, had they? Of course, even if they did, she wouldn't have known.
Now scowling, and still cold, Amp stomped heavily as her petite frame would allow to the far door. She slammed it open, not caring if anyone heard.
"What the--!"
She stared down the corridor of yet another double line of bunks. She turned to go back the way she came, but found the door shut and locked behind her. She banged on the door.
"Hey! What's going on round here?"
"What's going on round here?"
Amp whirled at the sound of the voice. Angry at being mocked, she didn't realize that she could hear both voices; her own and the echo.
"Who's there?"
"Who's there?"
"Where are you?"
"Where are you?"
"Keep it up, and I'll blast your eardrums!"
"Keep it up, and I'll blast your eardrums!"
Amp began making her way through the room, trying to locate the owner of the voice; the only real hiding places were under the bunks. She looked under every single one, but couldn't find anyone.
"Come out, coward!"
"Come out, coward!"
"I swear I'm going to make you puke up your insides!"
"You can't."
Amp twisted, looking up from on of the beds. She saw no one. And nothing. The lines of beds had vanished, leaving her standing alone in the wooden-built room.
Almost alone. There was a window in the side of one wall. Amp approached it carefully, and realized it was a mirror.
"Who says I can't? I can do whatever I want!"
"You can't." The image in the mirror stared back. Not an entire image; half of the redheaded girl in the mirror was missing. Not missing totally, but colorless, featureless, blurred. "You can't," the half-reflection repeated. A colorless hand reached out of the mirror toward her.
Amp gasped and staggared backwards, but her movement was halted abruptly. The walls had begun closing in on her, pushing her towards the mirror, and the outstretched hand.
"You can't...."
"Leave me alone!" Amp screamed. "I don't need you! I can do what I want! Stay away!!"
"You can't...."
"You can't...."
"You can't...."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" Amp screamed and lashed out. Her fist slammed into the bare wall of the Isolation cell. The nightmare vision vanished, leaving her alone in the tiny cell. Sweat drenched her face and collar, and her throat was sore from screaming.
She was alone. And it was so quiet.....
Amp curled up into a ball again, and wept. She was exhausted, physically, emotionally, mentally. But if she closed her eyes, all she could see was the mirror, and the unwhole reflection, and her mind echoed.
Millie looked up at the guard and squished in her face. What was he saying? Growing up in a family like the one that Millie grew up with did not teach her baby talk. So all these joby-wobby words confused her and she puffed in frustration before she was taken away from the guard by her Mama Emmy. Unfortunately, she was laughing so hard from when the stupid man poked his own eyeball that it took her a few minutes to regain herself, missing all of the commotion. When she looked up, everyone had left and some guard was grabbing himself in pain or pushing some button.
The little girl grabbed her teddy and walked outside, humming Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She listened to what Emmy said when she suddenly appeared, but it went in one ear and out of the other. She nodded in agreement, thinking about gummy bears and daisies. When Mama Emmy left, she jumped up on the bed and began twisting around in the sheets, making a mess. She crumped up her covers and threw them on the floor before jumping into them. Ouch. Now she needed a bit more covers than that, she hit the floor right on her knee. Quick breather, she grabbed on to her knee and breathed heavily before becoming angered by the blanket and kicking it, only resulting in catching her leg and almost making her fall. She didn't want to play that game anymore, so she frown and huffed as she pulled her leg free and moved over to her bed again.
Boredom. She wasn't going to wait for whoever was coming, she was cold and bored. So, she jumped off of her bed and pulled the covers off of another bed after a glare at the ones crumpled up on the floor. After finding one that didn't suck her in, she wrapped herself in it and tore out of the barracks. She didn't know who to follow, Mama Emmy would not be happy that she disobeyed, so she followed the annoying man with the weird language. Her covers trailed behind her, picking up dirt as she followed as quietly as possible, which wasn't really quiet. She saw Mama Emmy for a second, but dodged under her covers, as if that would help...
((I'm new so I'm gunna start from the beginning as if I had no idea what's happened so far.))
With a bit of a struggle, Cari was dragged into the pathetic camp by two faceless guards, their masks leaving their identity to the imagination. After making it to the barracks, they threw her towards the bed to which she had been assigned.
"Come back you idiots!" she called after them, flailing her gloved hands like a madwoman. She would've chased them, but her feet wouldn't move and she certainly didn't want to come in close contact with the long rods held at their waists. Instead, she climbed into the empty bed, over the only blanket provided, and curled into a ball. This was the lowest she had ever felt about herself. She had walked into that clinic like any other person, but walking out she had already become a criminal. She knew this was price of being a human and mutant advocate, but that didn't mean she would be giving up anytime soon. The other women and girls around seemed to have varying personalities and reactions to the camp. Some were definatly confident, other obviously depressed, but she wouldn't let them do this to her, she would fight.
They had gloved her hands as well as letting all the guards know that if they saw her without them they were to seize her immeadiately and replace them. Not to mention the full coverage get up they threw her in, even though it was about two sizes too big. It was basically a tan-green jumpsuit with tennisshoes. Luckily for her, her hair was delicately pulled back and they had given her socks! She smiled to herself, remembering to think positive. "At least my feet aren't cold!" she told herself before sighing and unfurling her slender body upon the poor excuse for a bed. It was more like, wooden polls and springs covered by thin fabric.
She sighed, maybe.. she'd make friends here. They couldn't hold her too long.. could they?
ooc: I know we arn't encouraged to write too many OOC so I can totally delete this ASAP I was just hoping that people could maybe poder over the idea of having the MOD's make time pass a little faster? Like I know there's stuff brewing for people to break us out but technically it's been what, 1, 2 days in the camp? Maybe we could have a generic "2 weeks pass" or something post by a mod and we can resume posting just acting as if some time has passed before anyone comes to break us out?
I just find everything is moving incredibly slow right now and it might be nice to try and sum some things up before Christmas starts eh? Anyway, if you agree or have any similiar ideas, maybe PM me and I'll sum everything up and forward it to the mods?
OOC Actually that is a good Idea Raina I think it would be easier if I sped up time a bit since I am narrating. YOur ooc post is totttaly approved. But how many days do you want me to do it?
"Look, I... I may not be an explorer, or an adventurer, or a treasure-seeker, or a gunfighter, Mr. O'Connell, but I am proud of what I am."
I suggest fast forwarding to Christmas. I fell like it would be interesting to see what happens on the holidays, and it will get the plot caught up with the current season. By the time we get done posting about Christmas it will probably be New Years in real life, which is still the holidays, so it would work out well.
I'll delete this post once the fast forward happens.
