The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After the little scuffle in the mess hall the girls were sent back to the barracks. Nika wasn't sure what to do. Deathstar was acting like a crazy woman by yelling at Emerald as well as the new arrivals. Is this what happens when you become an X-Man? She pondered that thought for awhile. That's not how she was going to be if she was allowed on the X-Men team.
Nika didn't know anything about the new girls but she did feel sorry for them having to endure Deathstar's out burst. She moved over by Isabel and Amp.
"I know we don't know each other but I'm terribly sorry for my friend's actions. I hope it won't have an ill effect on us being friends. We only have each other while we're here so we need to make the best of it."
Tricity turned to the unfamiliar girl who had asked about being 'Xavier's X-Men'. She looked her over and couldn't find any recognition. "Yes. Well, we are the second team, actually. We've branched from Xavier's X-Men into our own team. Seems they might get a long more though..." Tricity watched as Deathstar and Emerald continued their spatting.
She ignored the two as her head pounded in annoyance. Instead, her focus became on the room itself. She watched the guards circle. Tried to remember their faces. Mentally took pictures of the room and the women working behind in the kitchen. Her concentration broke when people were suddenly standing and Deathstar fell to the floor. Blood sprayed from her mouth.
"HEY! Cut it out!!" she yelled, standing up and beginning to step between everyone. Emerald moved faster though. She had grabbed Star and pushed her against the wall in heated anger. Tricity suddenly noticed the familiar faces of the girls who they'd been fighting not so long ago. They were tough as shit and it would certainly prove useful if they could all work together now. Her attention was pulled back to Deathstar and Emerald. Tricity grabbed the arm Emerald was using to hold Deathstar pinned against the wall and tried to pull them apart, but the guards swiftly came over and roughly yanked them in different directions.
Star went off in a screaming huff as they guards pulled her away and back toward the barracks. It seemed the fate of the girl who'd thrown the punch at Star would be having it worse. The first to get sent off to isolation. Tricity shrugged off the guard who was still holding her arm and turned toward the other women from the mansion and those that had flocked over with them as well. 'Where's Raina and Neena?' She looked around and found no sign of either. 'Dammit...'
The fight seemed to be enough for the guards to send everyone back in line and over to the barracks. Tricity sat on her bed and waited as everyone else arrived. Her bunkmate, Star, wasn't there. Probably getting cleaned up. Ruby seemed to be in bad shape and soon another familiar voice made Tricity nearly leap from the bed. "Millie??" The little girl was indeed there and was screaming for her Teddy. That girl never was without that bear. She couldn't believe they were actually taking small children in too.
Tricity looked up at Isabel from the bunk as she watched the girl walk over to Emerald. It never occured to her she would ever be asking this question. "So... How about we call a truce while we're stuck in this hellhole? We don't have to become best friends and we don't have to even like one another. We all might not believe in the same things, but right now, I'm sure we all believe in getting out of here. The more help, the better. Think you all can handle that?"
Deathstar walked inside the barracks a little later after everyone else arrived , focusing her eyes on her bunk she refused to give anyone the satisfaction of looking them in her eyes. She only recieved only a small cut on her upper lip from the sucker punch she recieved from the bone girl. Walking to her bunk she noticesTricity, giving her a stern look, she focused her attention on the shouting girl. Deathstar stood in place as she watched Emerald console Millie, her eyes wandered from the little girl back to a disgust look on her face when she caught the glimpse of Emerald, she continued her walk back to her bunk. She flopped down on her bunk with her hands at the back of her head, closing her eyes as if she was silently meditating.
Emerald growled lightly at Isabel before noticing Millie. She gently pried the child away from the door and looked around at the guards that where patroling the room. One guard walked in from the door Millie was pulling at, holding the stuffed bear. Before the young man got a chance to say anything Emerald snatched the bear from him and gave Merlin to Millie.
"Hey Mutie what was that for?" He grumbled at the wolf girl holding his nightstick high.
"I am giving a kid her toy, if you want to beat me for that, go ahead." Emerald snarled at him, causing him to back off slightly.
"When the older guards start patroling you won't be so snippy!" He stated with a glare before going over to his post.
Emerald sighed deeply, rubbing her temples. She had heard Tricity earlier, but she had ignored her only because the bear was more important at that brief moment. Now she glanced over at her leader casually.
"Listen, Deathstar and I fought, I injuried her badly, she kicked me once or twice, nothing to bad. Nika broke us up and this was all while you were taking care of you little one I didn't want to stress you out at the time," Emerald explained to Tricity."She doesn't deserve to be an X man, she is heartless, venomus and quite frankly a bitch to everyone including her allies. I will try to get along with her but if she casts the first stone I am going to throw stones right back."
Now Emerald didn't say this loud enough for Deathstar to hear, in order not to start another fight but part of her wish that she could. She needed to run, she needed to attack something or someone.
"They could at least give me some raw meat or something." Emerald snarled, slamming her fist into the wall. She craked the wood, nearly leaving a hole in the wall, luckily none of the guards noticed for it seemed they where outside taking a smoke for a few minutes.
If anyone had seen Emerald when she first came into the camp she looked similar to what she did now, however, something was diffrent. It was almost as if she had something feral about her, more so than usual.
Ruby let out a small yip when she saw James and was about to call out for Emerald when Sara stopped the man. Her eyes widened a bit, ears flat to her head.
"What just happened...why did he want to cut my tail off and why was he looking at me that way? I'm only fourteen, he can't be intrested in me." Ruby said aloud, more so to herself than the others. "Miss Sara are you Okay?"
Now people where proably wondering why Emerald was staying away from her younger sibling, well it was because in Emerald's mind if she stayed far away from Ruby, she would be less likely to be hurt by Emerald's anger.
Tricity listened as Emerald explained her side, but was frankly tired of the two of them fighting. She didn't reply as Emerald walked off in her angry mood. She'd have to talk to her later on. Anything but collective would get them into more problems as it were. Tricity saw the guards casually laughing and joking outside of the barracks. At least they would have some time to talk to one another. She nodded to Isabel as she stood up and turned around to see Star lying down on the bed above her own.
"Star... You have to control your temper, ok?" Tricity didn't want to be in 'speech mode' nor was she talking down to Star. It was more annoyance and a bit pleading. She didn't feel like being in 'command mode' either. Yelling back and forth wasn't going to make the situation better. "I know you have it out for a few of the girls here, but we need to push it aside. Fighting with one another is just making it worse all around. We need as many people on our side as possible." Her tone turned a little more serious. "So just deal like everyone else has to. At least we can do it together and watch out for one another. Your enemy might just be the one to save you here."
"ALL RIGHT, LADIES, IT'S TIME TO GET YOUR ASSIGNED WORK TASKS. ONE OF THE GUARDS WILL PASS A FEW COPIES OF THE LIST AROUND. FIND YOUR NAME AND YOUR ASSIGNED WORK TASK WILL BE PRINTED NEXT TO IT. THE GUARDS STANDING AROUND THE ROOM WILL TAKE THE GROUP OF THE SAME TASK TO THEIR DESTINATION." The speaker passed the few copies around the room, one landing in Tricity's hands. The others gathered around to see where they were headed. They were all being split up. This could work in their favor...
Tricity whispered to the surrounding women. "We can get a better idea of the layout like this. When we get back to the barracks, we'll talk over what we've seen. Try and count number of guards... different shifts they take... where they are stationted... cameras... things like that. Please, look out for one another."
"Ok, that's enough!" A guard snatched the paper from Tricity and nodded his head to indicate for them to separate into their groups. "Get moving."
(OOC: For 'jobs'... Shall we make a list? Laundry at the pond, kitchen, cleaning the barracks, cleaning mess halls, cleaning offices maybe? Anything else?)
OOC: Should we make a thread in Plots where someone puts a list of all the jobs, and we each respond with what job we want? Oh, and is it ok if I have Natalie helping at the infirmary? Because Gwen was going to try and make sure she did after finding out about her healing powers
IC: They were X-men! Wow, this was incredible. Then the fight broke out. That was rather un-X-man like. But then they were all shunted off back to the barracks, and Natalie listened in on the conversations as best she could. The leader type person was trying to organise a truce between the X-men and the other women, and it occured to Natalie that quite a lot of them knew each other. Then she spotted a little girl, and the wolf-girl giving her a teddy bear. They were putting little children in here? That was just... wrong. In so many ways.
Then the guards sent round slips of paper with job lists on them. Natalie decided that she was going to do her part, and took not of what the leader said. She got a glance at the list before a guard took it away, and saw that she would be helping in the infirmary. She wasn't sure what that would be, it would probably be cleaning up after patients are sent back out into the camp.

Raina had been away from the group for a while (I know it's only been a few hours RP time, but let's just assume it's been longer so I can finally get back in!) when she rejoined them for the job assigning. The guard in the infirmary was pretty insistant she go. She was thankfully given a new uniform to wear that wasn't blood stained- but something in her walk showed she was still in a considerable amount of pain.
Her face was absolutley lifeless. She looked like someone walking in their sleep- her mind off in a completley different world. Her eyes were listless gazing off into empty space. She moved like a ghost. She truely had a haunting precense. She looked awful before when she first arrived at the camps but this was beyond. It would break your heart to look at her.
She took a place at an empty table where food was placed infront of her and she was told to eat quickly so she could sign up for a job. She stared at the food motionless- her stomach writhing in pain.
Sara had held her breath for a moment as the shocks from her bracelet continued coursing through her. Numbing and stabbing at her muscles at the same time. Slowly the waves of electrical corrections became weaker. The only thing making them last was the fact Sara’s healing ability kicked in causing the cuff to react and starting a circle of events that did not bode well for the feline.
Sara worked her hand and fingers back and forth trying to get the proper feeling back. Meanwhile watching as James stood up looking for the guard that had activated Sara’s cuff. He realized most of his, would be, back up were out side taking a smoke break. Greeeeeaaat. and scooted to follow.
Sara had expected to be tackled by who knew how many guards. The one who gave her the warning might of heard what was going on. Who knew.
"What just happened...why did he want to cut my tail off and why was he looking at me that way? I'm only fourteen, he can't be interested in me."
“Who knows, Some men are just sick.” Yeah right, who knows. Sara had experienced these type before. She didn’t know how to tell Ruby that her age didn’t matter. How do you even begin to try and explain the sick thoughts that would run through someone’s mind. Her bracelet’s jolts of electricity slowed some more. She decided to go on a little further. “Just know you’re age doesn’t matter on weather someone like that is going to find interest in you.”
"Miss Sara are you Okay?"
She paused. Still not looking up at Ruby. “Yeah I’m alright. Thanks for asking.”
She could have said more but a guard came in addressing them with instructions about their individual jobs here at the camp. She stepped forward, using her height to see the page from behind and above the other ladies heads as she turned her chin slightly up to add just a touch more height.
Sara 0623 - Laundry. They put the number burned into her shoulder blade down? Oh well.
Laundry didn’t seem like it would be too hard. Just as long as she didn’t get shocked while dipping her hands in the water. that could hurt. With any luck she’d be the one to collect the garments and what ever else as well. No doubt, that places like the infirmary had garments that needed cleaning. It might even give her a better idea of how the place was laid out. Like the other female mutant had said. The jobs were an opportunity to be used.
It was all a nightmare... not! Terry would have concluded that it was all a bad dream, if not for the rather convincing headache and the constant sting from the cuffs round her wrists. It had all happened so quickly, and as she lay sprawled in the corner of a large van, Terry tried to recollect her thoughts. Okay, so she had just slipped out of the mansion grounds to buy herself a fizz drink, and perhaps a burger. Then she had been nabbed. They'd come from nowhere, talking about registration and stuff. Heck, she didn't even know how they knew she was even a mutant. Next thing she knew, she began to feel a sensation at the base of her head, somewhere at the point of the brain which controls nervous response. And when that happened, something bad was bound to occur. So, she had tried to break away, head back to the mansion, but she had been cut off and cornered. And that was when the events became hazy.
She sat up slowly and rubbed her head. Someone had clubbed her from behind with something, she didn't know what. Her head had been spinning ever since then, but she could vaguely remember being registered... for what? For now, she could only wait, until her questions would be answered.
The screeching of tires indicated that the vehicle had stopped. The doors were opened, and Terry was dragged out and hauled to her feet. She half expected to be standing on the shores of America, to be shipped off to the great unknown. Yeah right! This place was obviously as inland as it could get. She was herded into a queue of other females; all of them were probably mutants. She had heard that much from the goons who'd kidnapped her, as they spoke in loud voices as the van had traveled. She wondered what her fate would...
"Next!" A harsh voice cut through her thoughts, and she found herself facing a woman at the front desk, with a block for a face. Interesting. The woman obviously spent quality weekend time working out her face muscles. Terry snickered. And was replied with a box being roughly shoved into her. The woman behind the desk droned monotonously about removing all accessories and blah blah blah. "Yeah, whatever...", Terry muttered as she removed her earrings and placed them in the box. Then she drew out her cellphone and dropped it. "Um, I was wondering, since I think I'll be staying here a while..." She was roughly cut off as she was pushed into another room, where she was forced to strip and change into some 'bags' (Terry couldn't think of a better term for the clothes). They were shapeless, and as ugly as the buildings and the guards. "Move it!" She was shoved again. Terry was getting tired of being shoved around and bossed, and she was starting to get a tad irritated. "Hey! Will you stop that for a second? I'm not really in a good mood and..." She was only shoved much harder, and she found herself tipping forward to slam painfully into the door. Picking herself up, she turned over her shoulder to look at the perpetrator. "I am oh... so going to get you for this..." She was replied with a sneer, and then pushed again, into the camp grounds. She found her way to any of the 'bed rooms' and sat on a bunk, resting her head in her hands. She was in a sour mood, because her 'danger sense' had suddenly tipped off, and those damned cuffs on her wrists were constantly 'suppressing' her mutant powers.
She closed her eyes and breathed in slowly, trying to rest her aching muscles and clear her head. She was already determined to break out somehow, and when the opportunity presented itself, she wanted to be in spry condition...
Betsy Blagg's (aka She-Thing) holler of surprise was cut short with a pained GAH-OOF!! as she landed on her back in the middle of the soapy and bloody water spill. It infuriated her even further, meaning her face was so red she'd be a prime candidate for a heart attack. For a moment she simply lay there, stunned. She looked at Neena's back; the woman seemed oblivious, but Betsy knew she wasn't.
She shot to her feet and bellowed at the other guards, "WHAT ARE YOU GAWKING AT? LET'S MOVE THESE VIOLENT MUTIES OUT OF HERE AND BACK TO THEIR BARRACKS!!"
With an 'if-looks-could-kill-you'd-be-ash-right-now' look at Neena, Betsy stomped over to the door separating the two sides of the Mess Hall and swiped her card through the lock.

Grunt was grumpy, in fact it was his usual mood, something was seriously wrong if he was not slightly grumpy, but today it was more so, he had been sent here because his department wanted any excuse to get him as far away from them as possible, something about him beating two workmates unconscious, come now he had only cracked their skull a bit, it was not his fault that they were broadcasting “my head is ten miles thick” in neon lights, all he did was see if they were true to their word. It was not his fault that a casual punch required facial surgery to repair the damage, although how “unfortunate” that his solid metal watch had slipped down over his knuckles when we was in mid swing.
Today he wandered around the mess hall looking for people to pick on, he could not wait till the “things” the disgusting things were assigned jobs, more chance for him to show them the true meaning of pain. He saw this dazed woman (Raina) staring at her food.
He poked her none to gently in the side with his baton, “Hey you mutie, hurry up and eat, we are assigning jobs next and I would HATE for you to be late, would not want you to MISS OUT eh old pal, he said slapping her on the back, “SLAP..”” the sound echoed around the room. “NOW, MOVE IT.” He bellowed. Then chuckling at him self at the reaction that he had gotten and went off to cause more misery. As was said before it was unusal for Grunt to be in good mood, and unusual normally translated into extremely unpleasant for those around him and under him.

Millie allowed herself to be peeled from the door. She made a quick glance to Tricity followed with a smile before remembering her teddy and continuing with her flailing. Just when everything seemed to fall, she looked up and saw the guard holding Merlin. With a quick squeal, she threw her arms out for her teddy, but Mama Emmy had beaten her to it and snatched it from the guard before handing it to the little girl. She squeezed her teddy as hard as possible, it was a miracle that his head did not pop off.
Instantly, she jumped up and gently put him in her shirt, all but his head, that way he could breathe. Both shared the same neck hole and she kissed his head. "Did they hurt you, Merlin the Wonder Teddy? Tay no, I am a big teddy, they did not hurt me, I told them no." As if mocking the guard, she walked right in front of the man and smiled, brandishing her teddy before frowning and pointing at him. "Hey, mitter, that wat not nite. Tay you are torry to Merlin the Wonder Teddy."
The guard just stared at the girl and the bear, glaring. Millie lost her nerve and had to turn away from him. "Fine, I will tell him you think you are torry." She puffed before looking down at Merlin and whispering in his ear before snickering. Slowly spinning around, she moved over to Tricity and gave her hero a quick hug and a kiss on the forehead before moving back loyally to her Mama Emmy and sitting on her lap. "Thank you." She smiled before giving Mama Emmy a kiss on the forehead too.
Terry didn't know how long she'd been sitting there; all she knew was that her legs ached, and she needed to stretch them out. Pulling herself painfully from the bunk, she plodded to the door and stepped out, heading towards whatever was called the cafeteria. As she walked, her eyes slowly scanned the area, trying to see where the guards were positioned, and any other important thing. So far, most of the hunter bots, or whatever they were called, were positioned outside and closer to the walls. Some stalker bots were doing surveillance at much closer ranges, so it would be difficult trying to do anything under their noses. Terry hoped that there wouldn't be cameras or bots in the lavatories. Apart from the privacy thing, a toilet was a good place to get something done, without having a stick in your gut...
And then, she almost bumped into someone (Grunt). He looked like an orc, or something Terry had seen in all those online fantasy games. And the look on his face was probably capable of breaking a mirror. Not wanting to give the ugly mug a chance to pick on her, Terry offered an apology and tried to edge past him...

Grunt was walking around plotting things in his mind as usual, things that made him happy, but other sad, he never could quite get why. He was leisurely strolling along his hands behind his back, baton held in his right hand, and then suddenly “bump”. His train of thought was interrupted. The grand plan that he had in his mind was gone, he heard a stammered apology and looked sternly at the mutant before him, she seemed to be trying to edge past him. *Hmm, this could be fun, lets see, Yes they Have been issued their jobs already*
Swiftly transferring his baton to his left hand and flipping it so that it was against the back of his arm, he swiftly swung his left arm out in an arc, catching the mutant in the side with the baton just as it reached full speed, (Grunt was proud of his timing, he had spent a long time getting it perfect, and I mean A LONG TIME), he was rewarded with a hiss of breath, and a thump. The mutant collided with the wall and appeared slightly dazed. The next instant Grunt had whirled the baton round so that the head was pushing uncomfortably again the base of the throat, (he liked this move as it normally produced chocking noises but would produce no life threatening or lasting damage).
“Well well well, what do we have here, I do believe you are missing out on all the fun, little miss lazy boots.” He grinned an insanely wide grin. “Cant have that now can we?” “Look at me when Im talking to you, Trash!” He yelled as he grabbed her waist long hair, pulling it so her head would jerk upwards.
Leaning close, his putrid breath filling the distance between them, he said quietly, through gritted teeth “I want you to go to your job, I will not have lazy pieces of trash lazing around, I will follow you to your job and see that you work extra hard, congratulations you just earned yourself an extra shift. Why you looking at me like that for? Let’s Go.” HE then bellowed “NOWWWWW!” traces of saliva flying out. He released the mutant and prepared to follow her, maybe he would activate her bracelet, maybe, he was toying with the idea, and if she did not move fast enough…. Scrap that well why not. But not just yet, better wait till she was not expecting it.

Raina winced as a smack landed flat on her pack. She jolted forward in pain and her food went sprawling across the table spilling everywhere. She looked up at the guard as he walked past and back down at her spilled food. She stood up and followed the procession of mutants in line for their jobs. She waited for a while, and was assigned cafateria duty. Lovely. That ment starting right now with the cleanup. She was handed a tray and ordered to pick up the dishes and take them into the back to wash, thens he'd start on supper with the others.
