The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ruby took the pillow gingerly from Neena, the small fox girl was tired and she wanted to go to sleep. She climbed into her barrack and as soon asher little head hit the pillow, she fell asleep. Her breathing was quite an unlaboured as she lay serenly on the pillow.
Emerald looked at her sister, brushing a stray piece of hair from her eyes. Her mind started racing, thinking of the horrible things that could happen to Ruby if she didnt keep a close eye on her. The wolf girl growled a bit when one of the guards looked at the sleeping fox with a lewd look.
"If any of them lay there hands on Ruby I will beat the shit out of them. I can stand pain, it isnt that hard, but I won't let them put Ruby through the same things I went through in the labs." Emerald vowed, "Tricity I hope whoever avoided the Raids is comming to get us soon because a full moon is comming and I dont want you guys to suffer for anyone I mutilate."
((note Emerald doesnt change on the full moon her feral insincts just are in full force. It is more likely that she will rip someones throat out then normal on a full moon due to her wolf side taking over.))
After doing her best to remember where her bunk was Nika moved back over to where the majority of the other mansion members were at. Deathstar and Neena were having words with one another. Then Emerald's voice made Nika's ear twitch in her direction.
Moving closer to Emerald Nika couild then see Ruby fast asleep in her bunk. She felt sorry for the little fox but right now her attention was on Emerald.
"Hey Emmy, don't worry. We all need to look out for each other and if it helps you feel any better I'll help you look after Ruby as much as I can."
She gently placed her right hand on Emerald's shoulder as she tried to comfort the other girl.
Tricity cut her eye at Deathstar and Emerald. "Both of you, cut the crap. You're X-Men. We don't need that right now. The whole point is that we stick together, all right? Bickering isn't going to get us anywhere. We need to support each other. We will support each other."
There was clearly something about to start as the guards at the door gathered in a circle. Tricity watched as they broke off and started surrounding the room. She folded her arms and waited with a sigh, leaning against the bedpost in annoyance. The PA system crackled to life again and her ears perked up.
"IT IS NOW TIME TO PROCEED TO THE MESS HALL FOR LUNCH. YOU WILL FALL INTO LINE AS YOU DID GOING TO THE BARRACKS. NO TALKING. KEEP YOUR EYES FORWARD. GUARDS, PLEASE PROCEED." The voice was gone and the PA system died.
The guards all started shouting at once to get them in line. Someone at the head of the line who seemed to be in charge, seeing as he was decorated with stars, some type of general?... blew a whistle and got everyone quiet again. "Move out!" The line started moving and they crossed camp to the mess hall. It was a gray, dull building where a pair of doors opened as they came to it. It was like a public high school movie. Ugly, green cafeteria tables lined the hall along with one wall dedicated to the kitchen area. There were trays for them to pick up and move along the food line where several women, wearing familiar collars, would slop their meal on the plates.
"Meet some of the women you may recognize." It was the 'general' who lead them to the mess hall." They are your bunkmates, species, whatever. This will be one of your jobs here at the camp; working in the kitchen. There are plenty more as you will see later on when lunch is over. Keep in line, pick up a tray, and proceed along." He walked across the room and stopped, pointing behind him. "This is a clear glass wall." Tricity could see that in fact it was, though it seemed everyone else, including herself, thought the room kept going back, but was blocked by the wall. "The men will also be eating here, but on the other side of this glass. They cannot hear you and if you choose to somehow try and communicate, you will find yourself in the discipline circle. Somewhere you don't want to be. Talking is to be kept low in here as everywhere else in this camp. NOW, take the line to the trays and get your food."
They moved along with the line and picked up their trays. A moment later she could see the men filing in and most likely getting the same speech. Though as the 'general' said, she couldn't hear what was being said. She tried to find the eyes of her residents on the other side and saw that the boys were trying to do the same. Everyone was hoping to see more familiar faces... Make sure their loved ones were okay. "This is crazy... That wall is to tease us..."
Natalie sat up in fright as the PA came back on. Why do I think that's going to happen every time? She rubbed the tearrs from her eyes as they were all sheperded off to eat. She got some form of slop, which looked like it had already been eaten by something. How was it her grandmother would describe it? 'Previously enjoyed.' Though enjoyed didn't really seem the right term. Suddenly she realised that whilst she had only been half-listening to what was said, she had heard something. X-men. Wow. These girls were the X-men? She took a seat next to the one that seemed to be the leader, "Hi there. Did you say X-men? As in Professor Xavier's X-men?"

Raina got up and went to follow Natalie when the crippling pain in her stomach took over. She doubled over and fell to the ground. She felt like she was beeing ripped apart from the inside. In seconds a female guard was shoving Natalie out of the way and pulling Raina to her feet. She spat in the girl's face and pulled her by the throat of her shirt. "GET IN LINE' she scowled. "We wont show you muties any sympathy!" She gave raina a shove and Raina started praying in her head to be able to stand. She trudged along following the others looking incredibly pale... she didn't notice the crimson starting to drip down her leg.
Neena continued to listen, though outwardly there were no signs that she wasn't asleep. Silently she echoed Nika's assurance to keep an eye on Ruby.
"IT IS NOW TIME TO PROCEED TO THE MESS HALL FOR LUNCH. YOU WILL FALL INTO LINE AS YOU DID GOING TO THE BARRACKS. NO TALKING. KEEP YOUR EYES FORWARD. GUARDS, PLEASE PROCEED."
Neena snorted and opened one eye. "This should be interesting," she muttered, and got to her feet. She stretched as if she'd been sleeping all night, rather than a brief minute.
As she moved to line up with the others, she saw Raina collapse nearby. A guard got to her before Neena could, but she was there when Raina was shoved into the line, and offered an arm to keep the woman upright. She was white as a sheet, and Neena frowned. At the front of the barracks she paused to speak to one of the guards, a man with black hair and green eyes.
"Uh, 'scuse me but I think she needs to go to the Infirmiry-"
"No talking, keep moving!" Another guard interrupted and emphasized his words with a shove in the correct direction. Neena gave him an irritated look, but opted to not cause trouble, instead continuing to give Raina her arm for support.
"You all right?" she whispered very quietly, keeping her head down to avoid the guards' attentions.
Emerald was about to say something to Tricity but the PA system interupted them. She was kind of glad at that moment that Nika had calmed her down a bit so she wouldnt have snapped so much at her leader. Before Emerald knew it Ruby was beside her as they walked to the mess hall. She watched as the little fox girls eyes drooped again.
"Emmy...I wanna go to bed. We have been up for over twenty four hours." Ruby told the wolf girl who merely nodded in response.
When they got to the Cafeteria Emerald noticed the glass wall and also noticed that not only did it show the boys on the other side but it showed the reflection of the girls. Emerald gazed at hers for a moment, her wounds had dried blood encrusted on them and her bruises on her arms and legs where turning a bluish yellow. Em also ntoiced her hair which hung down on the sides in a wild and untames way, a way that Emerald had nearly forgotten. But to her the reflection not only showed herself but the wolf standing right next to it.
Emerald shook her head, clinging onto Ruby's hand gently as they grabbed the trays.
Ruby looked up at her sisters dark blue eyes for a moment and nodded in understanding. She hugged her sister for a brief second before breaking away.
"I love you big sister." She whispered to Emerald who offered a small smile in return.
That was what she needed to not loose herself again.

Raina winced and let Neena offer support. She shook her head unable to speak and held her stomach. Another wave of pain came over her and this time she did fall to her knees. She moaned and crimson spilled across her issued dress in an alarming way. It was like she'd been slashed.
The guard who shoved her now shoved Neena aside. "What the hell is this then?" she said turning her nose up at all the blood. "You mutants are fu*king desgusting! There's stuff in your cell for this kind of shit, go back there." The woman obviously thought that Raina had embaressingly started her period and was thoroughly mortified. She gave Raina a kick and Raina doubled over on the ground now shaking. This wasn't right. Any girl in the place knew this wasn't normal... and now she was practically convulsing but the guard continued to kick her. "Get up and go back to your cell! Clean yourself up you'r egetting it everywhere." she pulled Raina by the back of the neck and Raina let out an ear piercing howl. For a few seconds the temperature dropped but the howl was cut off by the collar. Tears spilled down her face as she panted.
what started as red was now spilling from Raina so dark that it looked black. No, this was anything but normal. Raina's eyes darted around pleading with anyone to step out of line and help. She was in too much pain to even be embaressed about what everyone else would likely think. Her dress was plastered to her and she lie in a puddle. She needed to get to the infirmary fast, and anyone could see it.
(OOC: Raina, let me know if I run ahead with this post, and need to edit.
Neena's eyes narrowed as she spotted the blood. The first thought through her mind was, <"What a time to start your period"> But it became quickly obvious something else was wrong.
At least it was obvious to Neena. The guards had other ideas it seemed. For the first time, she resisted as the guard shoved her away.
"What the hell is this then? You mutants are fu*king desgusting! There's stuff in your cell for this kind of shit, go back there."
"I don't think that's what hap-"
"Get up and go back to your cell! Clean yourself up you're getting it everywhere."
Neena was sure that if she could have. But the girl had been through so much today as it was. When the woman grabbed her and yanked her back, Neena had enough. She felt the chill in the air, but ignored it. She pushed forward and shoved the guard away.
"Even an idiot like you can see that's not menstral!" She didn't raise her voice, but there was a chill in it that didn't come from Raina's cry. "Human or mutant, anyone who bleeds that much needs to get to the infirmary." She knelt in order to help Raina to her feet, and headed toward the door.
The woman who had smacked Raina moved to stand in her way, her hand raised to hit them. Neena stared at her, her almost-white eyes unflinching and unblinking.
After a tense pause, the woman stepped aside. Neena watched her for a moment, then continued on.
At the threshhold of the door, a sudden pain ripped through Neena's arm and shoulder, into the rest of her body. She hissed in pain, tripped and fell, dropping Raina in the proccess. Angrily she looked back to see the woman staring at her, holding some kind of remote, apparently to the electric bracelets.
"I suggest you remember your place, Mutant."
Neena came very, very, very close to loosing her cool, and probably her life in that instant. She was seeing red, and it had nothing to do with her vision. The only thing that kept her from launching herself at the piece of dirt with a mouth was the stick wet feeling of Raina's blood that had spattered on her arm. It took visible control, but she managed, through clenched teeth, to reply.
"Yes ma'am. May I have.... permission" she ground the word out slowly "To take my fellow mutant.... to the Infirmary?"
The woman sneered at her, then snapped her fingers at one of the other guards. "Go with them. And make sure she comes back and cleans up her friend's filth."
Neena turned to look away, grinding her teeth in an effort to reclaim her aloofness as she helped Raina back to her feet.
Deathstar's face cringed at Emerald when she spoke out against her, She never like the wolf girl, and had a long running fued with her, she was a good target to vent out her frustration. Just as Deathstar was about to respond to Emerald's comment, she was abruptly cut off by Tricity's outburst, "Both of you, cut the crap. You're X-Men. We don't need that right now. The whole point is that we stick together, all right? Bickering isn't going to get us anywhere. We need to support each other. We will support each other."Deathstar didn't take kind of authority, with a mean look of her face, she looked Tricity up and down as if she was mentally challenging her, she honored Tric's orders reluctantly as the loud P.A system to over her ears again.
"IT IS NOW TIME TO PROCEED TO THE MESS HALL FOR LUNCH. YOU WILL FALL INTO LINE AS YOU DID GOING TO THE BARRACKS. NO TALKING. KEEP YOUR EYES FORWARD. GUARDS, PLEASE PROCEED." [/b]
Deathstar subdued her tension and followed the line into lunchroom, Hearing what sounded like a fall she looks behind to find Raina on the floor, "Hey Freak!, move your ass, its nothing to see hear" one of the guards says while poking her bruised ribs with his waepon. leaving the barracks she glanced back at Raina and Neena with an unsure look upon her face.
Entering the lunchroom she look around the room as if she was searching for an escape hole, She again followed the line to where they were serving food, Deathstar grabs her tray and gazes at the food with disgust, As it came time for her to get her serving Deathstar had a change of thought, "you know what, I'm not hungry!" she returned the tray and proceeded to the eating areasitting and waiting for other residents.
Raina could have cried out in relief when Neena came to her aid. Leave it to someone her own age to know it wasn't her period. As the guard pulled her to her feet again and let Neena support her, Raina's knees buckled and wobbled. She was pale and sickly looking, and anyone could see she was in extreme pain. As she walked she left a trail of blood behind her. One of the braver guards bent down to examine it. She shakily covered her mouth and said "oh My God..." before starting to throw up. "GET THEM TO LUNCH" growled a butchier guard bending down and swooping up the vomiting guard. 'Get yourself together Sarah and help me get these ones out." "But emily..." started the guard on the floor shakily. "They never said anything about this when we took this job. The other guard followed Sarah's eyes and her face went stern. "Come on Sarah. It;s not our problem." she said pulling the woman ahead of the mutant line. "WHAT ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT?1 GET MOVING!"
While the rest of the occupants filed into the Mess Hall, a second shipment of mutants arrived at the gates. Unlike the first arrivals, these newbies had less of an audience for their proccessing. However, the procedure proved overly difficult from the beginning.
Amp felt the van slowing. When it stopped and the doors were opened, they were ordered to get out. She answered by crossing her arms and legs and remaining right where she was. The check-in guards had had it easy before, and some of them were disappointed because of it. Therefore, when this tiny redhead resisted orders, they took delight in pysically dragging her out of the vehicle. She didn't intend to make it easy for them, and went limp, like a toddler that doesn't want to do what Mommy tells them. That resulted in numerous scrapes and bruises on the way up the stairs.
At the top of the stairs, she suddenly reached out and pushed against the doorframe, blocking the way to entrance. It took a punch to the gut from one of the guards to double her over.
As had all of the camp occupants before them, Amp was given a gray dress and carried into the next room, and told to strip. She didn't. It took three guards to force her, and by the end of the ordeal all three sported claw marks across faces and arms, and Amp was breathing heavily. It was obvious by then that she could make noise, though no one knew for sure if she could talk or hear. One of them snatched her necklace off of her neck, and she jumped him visciously trying to get it back.
"Got a livewire here!" one of her captors bellowed. The Guard-in-Charge-this-shift entered the side room from another office. He was a large man, who looked like he'd been a boxer in his younger days. He looked her up and down, as she continued to fight. Finally he pulled out a remote from his pocket and pressed a button. Amp screeched as electriciy jolted through both of her arms from the bracelets. It was enough to force her backwards, and into a curled up ball of pain. The man loomed over her.
"Who is she?" he asked one of the others.
"Don't know. She refused to give any information to the Registration Offices. She hasn't said a word since she was brought in. From the Sanctuary."
"No name?"
"Nothing at all."
The man sneered at her. He held up the offending necklace, then walked out of the room. A moment later he returned, holding a dog-tag-like name tag. It was blank on both sides. He kneeled and showed the chain to her.
"You see this, mutie? This is you. You are nothing. You mean nothing. You have no identity, no purpose. You are even less than the other freaks here. They at least can pass for animals. You do not even exist." He tossed the nametag at her, then stood. Turning to the other guards he said, "Take her to the Mess Hall with the rest of the trash, but don't let her eat. After lunch, stick her in Isolation. Maybe that'll loosen her tongue a bit."
"Fat chance Lardass!" Amp snapped.
Very slowly he turned to look at her. A downright ugly smirk crossed his face. She met it with a vemon-filled glare. Then he turned and nodded at the others, and left the room.
------------------------------
Several minutes later she found herself sitting in the corner of the cafeteria, watched over by an armed guard to keep her from eating. Not that even wanted to touch the slop that the others were being served. Instead she glowered straight ahead, ignoring everyone else in the room.
The ride to the camps hadn’t been the most pleasant ride Sara had ever experienced. Seemed like the guard driving swerved just the ram the tires into every pot hole and thick tree root he could. Bouncing the cargo around in back. Yeah. That’s all they were. Cargo. Things to be delivered.
The large van seemed to stumble to a halt. The door flew open and she heard the guards rush in. Squinting, glaring, at their out lines she stood up, intending on being the first line of defense. Blinking hard against the light coming in while her eyes adjusted. Suddenly one of the approaching guards moved to smack his baton across her right knee. A speedy paw like hand shot down catching it instead. Unfortunately she only had two hands and there were more then two guards coming at her with such weapons. She managed to block a strike aimed for the side of her jaw but she’d been left open on her side and the weak spot was quickly taken advantage of. There was a sharp pain as a shockey guard rammed his baton against the side of Sara’s ribes. Grabbing her arm in the same moment and hauling her forward. Her bracelet instantly gave her a double wammy as her ribs began to heal. Sending a shock through her system while the rest of the men swarmed her. Grabbing a hold of her arms and legs and dragging her to the side.
She saw Amp being hauled out much the same way by another group of guards. Then her eyes squeezed shut hard as the first guard hammered against her ribs again. Frantically yelling something about how Sara should stop using her powers. A second knocked her knees sideways, out from under her. She dropped about a foot towards the ground. Each time she was hit hard enough, that bloody bracelet, giving her a new series of shocks. The stocky guard snatched her chin, yanking her gaze up and her head back so she was forced to glare up his nose and see the curly hairs poking out of it that weren’t connected at all to his mustache.
”Stop using your powers kitty!” The constantans in his words were so harsh drops of spit sprayed Sara’s face.
Sara stared right back in his eyes. Not making a move to pull her chin out of the grip of his thick fingers. “I can’t.” She replied. Her voice low and dry from the electricity pumping through her.
He looked back at her still glaring, but his brow actually furrowed. Slowly the buzzing from her collar subsided as the waves of electricity slowed. As if to test this theory he brought his hand across Sara’s face. Making the bracelet activate again. Air hissed from her lunges as a new wave of electricity launched it’s attack. A smirk formed across his face and he nodded as if that explained it.
‘of course it did!’
One of the men from the side brought out a clip board. Apparently with information on Sara. “It says here she’s a healer.” He informed the rest as the carted Sara off. Yeah. Now the guy with the clip bored speaks up.
“Hands,. .. .. Paws,. .. .. what ever you call them, keep ‘em where we can see them! Get up!” The orders were practically barked at her. As if she could do anything else the way they pushed her around. Dragging her by her arms to the first building. Then inside.
A new face shoved what was nothing more then the equivalent to a shoe box under her nose before her amber eyes could adjust to the dimmer light again.
“Please place all personal items in the box.” The new face instructed.
Sara raised an eye brow. “Please,” She repeated. “Nice touch.”
“Just do it hair ball.”
What another nice touch.. .. ..
She looked back and forth at the guards who insisted on holding her hands. Instantly she was searched. Seemed they didn’t want to give her another chance to fight back. Did the healing thing scare them?
One man pulled her hair tie off of her pony tail and tossed the band into the box. Another checked her pockets, soon producing an empty wallet along with some pocket lint. All of witch was also tossed into the box. Hardly making the inside look like much. This is what Sara had to show to these people after 23 years. Not much, but it was hers. Then again there was one more thing of value that they would insist on her putting in the box.
A locket.
Impatiently the guard rattled the box in front of her. His other hand indignantly pointing at the small bit of gold dangling from Sara’s neck. Then he snatched at it. Snapping the chain as he took her treasure. Using the thumb of his one hand he opened it. Letting his brow furrow when what could have been described as a small red fingernail fell from the inside and clicking against the cement ground.
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Sara said. A small smirk made the corner of her lips curl.
“Figures.” The guard sneered. Closing the box, nearly bringing the lid across Sara’s nose. “Get her dressed!” he barked at the other guards before he disappeared taking Sara’s treasures.
In the next stage of, what ever was happening to Sara, she was forced to strip and dress in the gray, dead looking, dress. The word forced should be greatly emphasized here. then she was ushered out to the mess hall. It wasn’t hard to decipher witch of the other females here were victims as well. There was a numb feeling at the back of her mind. She went through the motions of taking her tray, having foot slathered onto her plate, and so on. But she didn’t know if she’d actually eat.
She took a seat at the same table as Amp, being that Amp was the only familiar face there. Then her gaze turned back to the other captives as she quietly watched them, listened to them, and left her plate untouched.
(OOC: Continued from the Infirmary. This happens toward the end of Lunch. Feel free to ignore and post previous happenings in the meantime as well.
It was a long enough walk from the Laundry that Neena's thighs were twitching from the exercise. Unfortunately she was almost immediately descended on by the ‘Thing’ in charge. Neena repressed the urge to spit.
”Took you long enough,” she sneered as Neena bent to began mopping up the drying red puddle. ”That other freak still alive?”
Neena clenched her teeth, hiding her disgust behind vigorous scrubbing. ”If you mean, ‘is she still breathing’, then yes. She is.”
”Too bad. There’s already too many of you around. One less would be hardly a loss.”
Neena stopped. Her knuckles turned white, and her shoulders were visibly shaking. It was a full thirty seconds before she returned to her task with renewed vigor. ‘She-Thing’ glowered darkly. She’d been waiting for the mutant to attack her; it would have given her another excuse to put the freak in her place. Denied the pleasure, she turned to the others women and bellowed.
”HURRY UP AND FINISH YOU LOWLIFES!! THIS ISN’T A RESTAURANT!! IT DOESN’T TAKE THAT LONG TO EAT!! MOVE IT!!” She turned to Neena’s guard and hissed, ”Keep her here until the entire floor shines. I don’t care how long it takes.” He grunted. Neena allowed herself a small smile.
