MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. Ok, so here's the deal, I've not done much with Talon's backstory yet, so we'll do something with it here. If I have any of this WRONG regarding characters let me know so I can correct it. If you're not involved and want to be let me know so we can figure out how to work it.
What I've got in mind is this, broken down point by point...
The Plot
1. Talon's father, the Czech Ambassador, is going to throw a big fancy party at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Timeline this party will occur about a month AFTER the riots are done. This will be a very big how do you do... Ambassadors, Military Brass, U.N. Officials, Rich Folks... and I've indicated in one of the set-up threads that the President might even make an appearance.
2. The way to get to go is to be invited by someone on the guest list. Right now there are THREE characters on the guest list: Talon (his father is HOSTING the event), Evelyn (rich parents), and Alli (rich parents).
3. Talon is going to be told he HAS to have a DATE for this, so he'll be asking pretty much every woman he runs across that seems like an ok person to go. They will all reject him, though he will give each his phone number. This will lead to Talon hiring WereCat (not knowing it's her) to be his bodyguard with the intention of claiming she is his date. After WereCat has been hired several of the women will call Talon up and want to go to the party... so he'll wind up showing up with a LOT of "dates" because he's too nice to tell everyone he asked that they can't go after he invited them... that would be rude.
4. Evelyn is going stag, but will probably S.O.S. Forte at some point.
5. I think Alli is bringing along Forte and Saph... that is a think, not a know so ask her.
6. A limited number of people... may be given permission to crash the party, PM me or ask here for the details.
7. At the party there will be great chaos... and, I've been told, an exploding cake courtesy of one of Talon's many "dates".

Mahadevi is going, she has an invite by dint of her work with the Indian Embassy.
Alli is going, but I'm not sure if she's taking dates of her own or going with Talon. I think she's planning to take Saph as her date though.
Lenna, as head of Mondragon Labs, is on the invite list. She may be bringing Kaitlyn and Victoria with her.
Syn is probably going. She will bluff her way through the main entrance using her powers. She may be bringing Kaitlyn and Victoria with her.
Cassandra Lily Rayne is going, using personal contacts to get in.
Melissa Xilx is going as the booze caterer. Enders is entering the party with her.
Rupert is going to get in by bluffing past the guards as part of the Donald's retinue.
Ty and Rupert may be part of the party crashers.
Announcements
Party will be a Masquerade Ball. Formal dress with masks. High society. Fancy food. Live music of an instrumental and more generally sedate variety.
Weapons, other than powers, should be considered 100% prohibited. Security will be stringent, bags will be checked, metal detectors will be present at both the main entrances and the entrances that would be used by kitchen and serving staff.
I would ask that, once the party starts that the MAYHEM not ensue until I give the green light. However, once the green light is given you all can level the entire hotel for all I care provided that the Czech Ambassador isn't killed.

Shin and I just spoke on the cbox. If Lenna was invited because of her status as the owner of Mondragon Labs, she could bring Kaitlyn and Victoria along. If that's cool with everyone involved, I like this means of getting Kaitlyn and her date to the (probably masquerade) ball more than anything else.
The Syn Method (tag along with her and use her power to sneak in) is a very close second for me, if plan A is a no go.
for Talon's records: ~Kait and Victoria will be going, either with Lenna or Syn's help ~Syn is probably going as a party crasher, using her powers to sneak in ~Lenna might come as a kind of chaperone for Kait and Victoria, and because she's the CEO of an important medical tech company.
Also, masks mean Kaitlyn might not recognize Lori. But if she does, I'll need to come up with some SHENANIGANS for her to engage in. Potentially involving snarking at Lori's date because Kait disapproves of him. If Rupert shows up, he'd probably be a good target for snark and/or veiled threats, because Kait would disapprove of him a lot.

This looks very interesting. All I really have to add to this is that if Butterfly ends up involved, I don't have to talk to Penguin to know she'll be bringing Paige.
Also...if Rupert crashes the party, I somehow want Ty in on it because let's face it, nothing spells chaos and hilarity like an accidental reunion between Ty and Rupert. You know on top of everything else xD
Did someone say dress claiming? Cara will be wearing something a little like this. With a clutch full of handheld recording devices, notebook, pens and the such for aquiring all the higher-up's quotes ^_^
For the sake of noting it somewhere, Evelyn will likely be wearing This dress, complete with a feathered mask. Hopefully by the end of the evening it isn't tattered... *glances around at guest list and wonders how long the elegance would last XD*

Announcement! The party shall be a Masquerade! That seems to, far and away, be the popular choice.
Talon will be going as the Phantom of the Opera though with a mask that covers forehead, both eyes, and right cheek rather than the more traditional half mask.
Response - Kaitlyn
Lenna would be invited as the head of Mondragon Labs. More than enough money there to have made the guest list. Bringing Kaitlyn and Victoria along that way, with Lenna, is just fine.
Syn, if she's going, can sneak in by bluffing past the guards and everything with her powers. That's a very believable way for her to get in as an uninvited guest.
As for Rupert if someone can come up with a way to get him in, the more the merrier. Talon won't be asking Rupert to be his date though. Kinda goes without saying.
Response - Ty
If Butterfly wants to come along in on this and bring Paige let me know. Both can be approached by Talon as potential dates (provided they're age appropriate) and be part of the gaggle of women who initially say no only to change their minds after he's hired WereCat as a bodyguard (sight unseen).
As for Ty, provided Rupert's going, I would suggest that Ty sneak in disguised as part of the serving staff (tuxedo and a basic white mask). Ty has the street smarts to be able to pull that off. Also, Tses will be there... so lots of fireworks potential there.

Butterfly and Paige, was mostly to clarify that they're taken. xP Though I may need to direct Penguin to this because I find it funny that two of Talon's potential dates would be taken--by each other.
Now, the fact that Tses is in makes me want Ty to crash even more. Just the idea of having so many people who either hate him or that he hates in the same room. The only thing I'm missing, though, is a motive. Once I can think of that...well one certain Fish will be set to crash your little party. (Ty isn't a huge fan of Talon, but I don't think that's motive enough lol)
