The coloring of the feathers is a dark steel grey from his forehead back over his head and down his arms all the way to his finger tips and down his legs to about halfway down his calf where his taloned feet and legs begin. The feathers of his face are mostly white except for two black streaks which run from under his eyes down along his cheekbones to the jawbone. The feathers of his chest and stomach are mostly white with some grey speckled in here and there. Each of his toes ends in a razor sharp talon. Mariusz also has two feather covered wings which are covered in steel grey feathers except for the very back of the wings where the feathers become black. Each of the wings is eight and a quarter feet long (two and a half meters) giving him an overall wingspan of almost sixteen and a half feet (five meters). The wings spout from his back and are essentially an extension of his shoulder blades. His eyes are a deep golden color with dark vertical pupils.

Character
Personality: Mariusz tends to be quiet at first when meeting new people. Having not really grown up with anyone that was his own age he tends to be a bit more mature than most people his own age and he tends to feel more at home around people in their mid-20's on up as opposed to with the younger crowd. He's a bit of a book worm and also a bit of a loner and prefers to spend more time outdoors as opposed to indoors unless he's studying. However, having had few friends as a child Mariusz places a lot of importance on the friends that he makes and tends to be a very loyal and trusting companion.
Hobbies/ Interests: Hunting, Fishing, Christianity, Hockey, Cooking, Archery
Job or part time job and description: (N/A - For now.)
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Mariusz is not overly fond of insects or the occult.
Special talents: Archery, though slightly related to his avian mutations in that he has keen eyesight, Mariusz is an excellent bowman. Mariusz is also an extremely proficient chef, having learned from his mother. Mariusz is trilingual, he is fluent in English, Czech, and Latin.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: In D&D parlance Mariusz would be described as lawful good. He seeks to uphold the laws and protect those who cannot look after themselves. He's a bit more prone to turn a blind eye to those in need if he does not know them, but for his friends he would do most anything that wasn't illegal. In terms of other morality he adheres rather strictly to what would be traditionally referred to as, essentially, the Christian moral code and tends to rather strictly adhere to that code of morality.
Mutations
Mutation description:Physical Mutations - Mariusz has several decidedly bird-of-prey characteristics. His entire body is covered in feathers that are, in order of predominance: steel grey, white, and black. His feet each have three toes and each of those toes ends in a razor sharp talon, Mariusz also has smaller retractable talons at the ends of each of his fingers that are equally sharp. His eyes are the deep golden color of the setting sun and the pupils are vertical slits. Most of the feathers covering his body are thick, warm, and soft providing excellent insulation for flying at higher altitudes. His body is also mutated to the point that he can fly as high 35,600 feet (10,850 meters) without being required to carry an oxygen tank as his body will naturally adapt to the extreme cold and low oxygen levels. One of the more interesting mutations that Mariusz has is a follow bone structure, just as many birds do, this has the affect of giving him a much lower body weight than a human of comparable size. Finally, Mariusz has two wings on his back which given him the ability to fly. Each of the wings is eight and a quarter feet long (two and a half meters) giving him an overall wingspan of almost sixteen and a half feet (five meters). The wings spout from his back and are essentially an extension of his shoulder blades.
Enhanced Vision - Just as many birds-of-prey have exceptionally keen vision so does Mariusz. His vision is far superior to that of any human and even most mutants.
Flight - Mariusz's wings enable him to fly. He has a maximum flight ceiling of 35,600 feet (10,850 meters). His maximum landspeed is 60 miles per hour (96.5 kph). In a dive from 35,000 feet Mariusz does have the ability to break the speed of sound, however pulling up out of such a dive would not be without significant negative impacts on his body. The safest maximum velocity for Mariusz to dive at is around 225-250 miles per hour (360-400 kph). Given the lightweight, in a relative sense, nature of his body and the abilty to catch updrafts with his wings Mariusz is capable of lazily floating in the sky for hours on end, however if he's exerting himself to actually get somewhere he will need to stop and rest every three to five hours unless he has specifically planned and trained for a longer flight. He's capable of carrying another reasonably sized person (up to 200 lbs/91 kgs) for a short period of time and he can pull or push in level flight up to 2000 lbs/907 kgs (basically a small car) though he won't be moving very quickly when he's pushing or pulling that kind of weight.
Strengths: He's got all the capabilities that could be expected of someone with his mutations with the added bonus of also being an excellent marksman with a short bow as he likes to hunt while flying.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Mariusz's hollow bone structure makes him more susceptible to bone breaks than a normal person would be. The only solid bones in his body are his sternum, rib cage, and skull. Hit him hard enough and his bones won't just break, they'll shatter. Mariusz has excellent physical stamina for a normal person, but he does have to stop and rest just like anyone else would and the more he's trying to carry or push/pull while in flight the faster he will tire himself out and have to stop to rest. Given that he's also covered completely in feather Mariusz is quite capable of catching on fire rather easily and tends to give flame a wide berth.
Physical Abilities
General Physical Capabilities: Mariusz has all the strength, speed, and durability of a person that spends a fair amount of time in the gym. Given his constant flying around he has somewhat more in the area of stamina and endurance than a normal person might have.
Fighting Style: Mariusz has no combat training, per se. However, he is an avid hunter and outdoorsman and has the requisite marksmanship and survival skills that go with such a background. He's no Hawkeye, but he's as proficient as a top-level Olympic athlete, aided in part by his enhanced vision. He's a fair shot with firearms as well, but the short hunting bow is his bread and butter.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: Mariusz prefers to keeps his opponents at long range in order to avoid being physically struck by them. He's also somewhat afraid of how much damage he could do with his talons.
History Of Your Character
When the doctor showed Miroslav and Alexandra Kasparek their new child in the spring of 1989 they thought the hospital staff was playing an April Fool's Day joke on them, a joke that was in terribly bad taste. Then the feather covered something they'd been given began to squawk and make noise and they realized it was no joke. His father moved the family to an old ancestral home outside of Harrachov in the northern part of the Czech Republic while he continued to work for the Foreign Ministry in Prague. As a result of working high up in the Foreign Ministry Miroslav was able to afford private tutors for the entirety of Mariusz's pre-college education. Of course, working in Prague while the family was located closer to Harrachov meant that Mariusz didn't often see much of his father growing up. As a result of being privately educated at home, away from the prejudice of the world, and not having any playmates that were his own age he spent a lot of time with his mother who, prior to her marriage had been one of the top private caterers in the Czech Republic.
Mariusz attended Charles University in Prague, thanks in large part to the influence of his father. Being one of the few openly mutant students at the University while he was there Mariusz tended to be quiet and keep to himself, diving into his studies rather than into a social life. While in college he devoted himself to the study of Protestant Theology and became a devoted Christian. Shortly after his graduation his father was selected to serve as the Czech Ambassador to the United States and relocated the family to the Czech Consulate in North Wales, PA. Mariusz followed the rest of the family to America as well. It was, by this time, public knowledge that there was a haven of sorts for mutants in America and Mariusz had a desire to
see such a place for himself.
On arriving and settling at the Mansion he was quick to seek out Mirror, one of the team leaders of the X-Men in order to make it known that he
wished to be considered for placement on the team as a way to pull his weight in exchange for room and board.

Mariusz grunted and shifted the weight of the heavy military surplus duffel bag on his bag. His wings and shoulders were starting to ache a little bit from the length of the flight from North Wales to the Mansion's location wasn't really all that long of a flight. Still, it was a bit longer of a flight than Mariusz had made in some time and that, coupled with the heavy bag on his back, was starting to tire him out. He'd passed over a town not too long ago and he knew from having checked a map ahead of time that the town wasn't all that far from the Mansion's location. Narrowing his golden eyes he gazed out into the distance and just spotted what he assumed had to be the right place, it was the only thing he could see that looked like it could be described as a mansion though he was still too far off to really know for sure.
A few minutes longer and the feathered mutant was certain he had seen the right location. Adjusting the heavy bag once more Mariusz cinched up the shoulder straps a little bit tighter to make sure that the bag was secured to his back. The last thing he wanted was for the heavy bag to bounce or jostle when he landed. If it did that it might come down wrong one one of his wing joints and dislocate a wing. He knew from past experience that a dislocated wing was not a fun time and he was in no hurry to repeat it.
Seeing what he assumed to be the front door of the place he was intending to reach he flew in that direction, gradually decreasing his altitude until he was just a few feet off of the ground. With a few powerful downbeats of his broad wings he came to a stop in the air and fluttered down to alight on the doorstep. Glancing around the door and the property he turned a small circle to better take everything in with a quick glance before returning his attention to the door and reaching out with his right hand to rap sharply one the heavy wooden door three times.
