Kaz nodded as Nicki explained her self, about how could she not join. More and more, he was learning about this unique girl beside him. She seemed to know herself about as well as any person can know themselves. And he liked that. Though he also reminded himself, she was just 16, with years to grow, physically, and mentally, she could change.
Kaz smiled when she called him her boyfriend. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at how she summed it all up. His smile diminished slightly when she said she was having an identity crisis. Again he reminded himself of what he thought and knew: time to grow mentally. "....I'll be careful with this information." She understood what he said, but didn't understand what he meant. He wasn't so much worried about the Order or the XMen, but for Nicki herself.
He knew people used others. Used them to further their own goals. Whether they did it purposefully or not, whether they did it for what they believe is right or not, people still use others. Kaz knew that would be hard on Nicki, that she might not even realize what was happening. He wanted to tell her, wanted to explain this to her. But, ultimately he would not, at least not this day. She already has a lot to deal with, from just this one day.
"Personally, I'd boast if my boyfriend was in a secret club....if it wasn't a secret at least." Smiling, "I know you will be, but be careful with yourself more."

Nicki registered the small smile that crept on Kaz's lips as she called him her boyfriend. Good. That was basically the reaction she had wanted. Nicki was fairly straight forward with a lot of stuff and she didn't like to play "I like you, you like me but we're not gonna call it this". Nicki was happy she got to walk away from today with at least something good.
"I will Kaz. I promise, I'm gonna be okay. I'm just drained and still kinda overloaded and I'll sleep and I'll be fine" Nicki smiled, mostly in an overcompensating way. She wasn't so sure that all of this had to do with her overload and she wasn't so sure that she was going to bonce back from this in a timely manner. She was actually rather scared about this.
"Yeah, I've got other stuff to boast about. I can jump up and down and say 'my boyfriend has cool swords' or 'my boyfriend can do any physical thing'. I don't need to imply any secret orginzations to brag about you Kaz" Nicki smiled.

Kaz smiled at Nicki. There wasn't any way he couldn't smile at her, she was so sweet and kind. When she spoke about bragging about him, the way she said it, was different than the praise and looks he got from other people. It felt real.
When she mentioned him being able to do any physical thing, Kaz, in the typical male fashion, began to think of things more private. Catching himself he forced those thoughts down and shut them up.
Kaz opened his mouth as if to start talking when his cell began to ring. A curious look crossed his face and he looked at the screen. It took a moment or two for the word RED to register in his mind. Looking to Nicki, "Sorry bout this, I gotta take it." Answering the call, "Yes? What's up?"

Kaz listened to Abyss speak. When he mentioned Jupiter, he knew it was the original Abyss, Kaz could never tell them apart, any of them, in person or over the phone. "Oh, sorry bout that. I guess I missed the memo. I'm just dropping the girlie off." Kaz looked up at Nicki for a moment, then out the window. "Ya know, I love VIP. I'll head over ASAP. If the coffee hasn't been made, mind making a new batch? Black as can be please. See ya later." Short and sweet, Kaz closed the phone, ending the conversation.

"Yeah, I understand" Nicki smiled, carefully wiping her mouth with the back of her hand, before leaning in and kissing Kaz again. "I'd say like 'Have a good meeting' but I'm not sure if that's what you say in these situations. Um. Have a good day? Call me later." Nicki asked, hoping that would be sufficient.

Kaz chuckled at Nicki's words. "Yeah, I don't know if I'd know what to say if our positions were reversed." He returned the kiss Nicki gave him. "With you, I've already had a GREAT day." He smiled at her, putting his hand on her cheek, then traced her neck with his finger, then to her collar bone. Leaning in, he kissed her neck. "I'll call you later, count on it." Kaz started up the car and drove the rest of the way to the mansion. Driving up the main entrance doors, he got out and walked to Nicki's door and opened it. Helping her out of the car, though he knew she didn't need help. Giving Nicki a long hug and a kiss. "Get some rest, kay? I'll see ya later."

Nicki had to admit that Kaz's touch was hardly that of someone preparing to leave; rather of someone preparing to come inside for the night. It was hard for both of them to leave.
Nicki kissed Kaz slowly and hugged him tightly. "Okay. Go. Call me. I'll sleep" Nicki smiled, letting the hug go, but holding on to Kaz's hand and she started to back away.

Kaz held Nicki's hand as she backed away, smiling at her. He waited until she was inside the doors, and even a few minutes after. Getting back into the car, he sped off towards Sanctuary. Not that he was in a hurry to leave Nicki, far from it actually, but he knew the rest of the Order was waiting on him. <Duty calls.> Kaz thought and chuckled to himself as he drove through the lit streets of NYC.
