The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Alright, so Emerald Lupin might look a little scary. She attempted to smile in her wolf form but quickly realized it would look like she was either baring her teeth or she would look like the joker of wolves. The she-wolf padded up to her two new possible companions and sniffed Victoria's hand a little.
Now, she knew her scent a little better and would allow herself to get pet a little bit. Emerald merely ducked her head underneath the hand and allowed it to rest of her head, tail wagging playfully.
They probably knew she was a mutant but at the moment, she couldn't exactly switch back at the moment, so they would have to deal with her like this. Oh well, she could still be a guide wolf, even if she couldn't exactly talk or shift into her human form.

The wolf got up and moved closer. It made Victoria stop for a moment as she let the animal sniff her hand. She was prepared just in case things went badly. She pictured the wolf chomping on her arm at which point she would do her best to keep the beast occupied in hopes Serena could go find help.
In a bit of a surprise move after the wolf sniffed the little blond girl’s hand it moved its head under her hand. Her hand was now resting on top of the wolf’s head. So gently Victoria started to pet in short strokes from front to back on the animal’s head. The fur was soft and thick. Victoria looked back to Serena with a smile. “I think it’s a nice wolf.”
Serena watched nervously as the wolf moved over, sniffed Victoria's hand, then let her pet it. They entire time, worried that it was going to bite the young girls hand off. The scars on it's body were slightly unnerving.
After Victoria had turned to Serena and announced that it was nice. She turned back and felt her nerves calm and her muscles relax "Well that is a huge relief." She wondered whether or not the wolf could understand them. And discerned that it probably could as it eased up after Serena shouted at it.
"Is there anyway you can talk to us?" Serena asked. Wanting to make more conversation with other mutants so that she could learn how to better fir in with them. She did not want to get rejected. Especially due to her power.
Well now that the petting formalities were out of the way, Emerald let out a happy bark. Sure, she was a lone wolf who was alone more often than not, but the fact that people were trying to communicate was sorta nice. Maybe she should lurk around like this more often. Well, if people didn't run away screaming that there was a wild animal lose in the mansion that is.
The wolf padded over to the shelves and grabbed a book as gently by the spine as possible in her massive jaws. She would go to each shelf and retrieve multiple books until she came back with an entire stack. Emerald dropped each on the floor and pushed them with her nose until they formed some sort of message.
The First book was titled.
"Sorry I scared you." It was a picture book for children about how some animals could be scary when they were actually just trying to defend themselves.
"Stuck " Was a novel about a person who felt like she was stuck in another persons body.
"In Wolf's Form" Was a small informational book about the body language.
"Will Change Back Soon." A strange book about someone who would go out dressing like a movie star and coming back as a normal, homebody house wife.
It was not the best way to communicated but she figured she might as well tell them the truth. She had a hard time speaking in this form because her mouth wasn't designed for speaking. Since she had been in werewolf form a two days ago, she shifted into wolf form to ease the pain of her bones readjusting and ended up stuck like this for a bit.

Serena asked the wolf if it could speak. You’re smart. Victoria thought the older blonde had this all figured out. She kept asking all the right questions. Luckily the wolf responded which, to Victoria, showed the wolf was smart too.
When the wolf moved off towards the books Victoria, in a slightly awkward moment, had to take a look as she walked back over to Serena. Tugging on the taller girls arm to get her attention Victoria whispered. “It’s a girl wolf.”
That being satisfied the girl watched curiously as the wolf began pulling books off the shelves. “Umm..wolfy? I don’t think they want you to make a mess in here.” The wolf continued her business until several book were on the floor. “I hope we’re not gonna get in trouble for this.”
Serena felt a small tug on her arm. She looked down to see the source and found herself staring into a pair of adorable red eyes. As far as little girls went, Victoria was sweet and cute.
Her words made Serena want to laugh. She herself had wondered what gender this mutant was. But hadn't wanted to come across as rude. Victoria had found out for her. So this wolf was a girl. That was good. Serena was naturally slightly more comfortable around other girls.
The wolf trudged off towards the shelves, gathered a couple of books, then spelt out a message with them. Serena smiled. "It's ok, I'm just glad you don't want to eat us..." She said in the friendliest possible tone.
The wolf sighed in relief once she realized that the girls could actually understand her. Well, understand her as much as two “normal” girls could anyways. Emerald herself knew they weren’t normal, after all why would you be in a mutant school if you were normal? But compared to her, they were the most normal people ever. At least they didn’t get stuck in form they didn’t want to be in.
Once she was told she was making a mess, Emerald gingerly picked up each of the books and placed them on each shelf where she found them.
While she didn’t normally care if she made a mess or not, if these young ones wanted to make a mention of it she figured she would please them for now. She did however come back with something else in her jaws, a wadded folded up piece of paper. The large wolf would calmly drop this large thing at the girl’s feet.
It looks like Emerald had dropped the map to the school at the girl’s feet. It was of course the tourist map they could get at the very front desk but since they seemed a little lost she figured this might be easier. It was either this or they would have to follow her barks.

The tension that had appeared the same time the wolf girl entered the library was fading quickly. Friendly gestures from the wolf as well as the girls helped that immensely. Victoria was starting to like the wolf girl. She watched as the books were placed back where they had been withdrawn.
Looking up to Serena the smaller blonde smiled. “Looks like Emahundi doesn’t want anyone to get in trouble for leaving books out.” Victoria paused for a moment as she realized she had used and Estonian word. She felt a little embarrassed. “Umm…sorry. Emahundi means female wolf in Estonia. It just came out easier than saying it in English.” The girl looked at the wolf. “We don’t know your name wolfy. Can you show us what your name is?” This came after the crumpled paper was dropped at their feet. “It’s a map!”
The girl had just spoken a word that Serena hadn't understood, was it Latin? No, Serena had heard some from her brother before and this didn't sound quite right. The wolf was putting the books back. "Hehe, never heard of that language before. It sounds beautiful."
Serena pondered what the female wolf was actually busy doing in the background. Before she knew it, the wolf was back with a map. Serena smiled at Victoria's comment, she seemed to have a child's innocence. Serena gave a little giggle "Why the Surprise? I thought you knew where you were going" Serena winked.
Emerald Lupin had been given quite a few different nicknames before, quite a few meaning some nasty things. So when the smaller girl said a random word she didn't understand, she acted like most animals would and tilted her head to the side in confusion with one ear perks up with one ear slightly down.
Once the meaning of the word had been confirmed the confused looked was immediately wiped off the wolf's face. The name was not a bad one and it was a nickname she could live with until they found out her real name.
Speaking of that, what her name was, was finally asked and while she could always try to say it, she figured she should save her energy for something else. That and she didn't want to sound like a Scooby Doo crossover reject.
With a quick dash over to the shelves again Emerald retrieved a fairly large book with a piece of paper pinned on the front. In fairly large print the book said.
"Reserved for Emerald Lupin." And upon further inspection it was a book about myths relating to lycanthropic creatures. A point of interest for someone like her.

Victoria blushed at Serena’s comment and compliment. “It’s Estonian. That’s where I grew up.” A soft giggled interrupted her. “Not many people know where it is, but I’m glad you like the word.” The girl gave a huge smile that quickly turned to an embarrassed blush. “I know some places, but I never got a map. My teacher showed me around when I first got here.”
Looking back to their new four-legged friend Victoria noticed the curious look on the wolf as well. She had seen dogs do just what emahundi was doing. The look of trying to figure something out, but as the little blonde girl explained the word the wolf returned to her normal posture.
Once the foreign word had been ok’d by everyone Victoria watched as another book was pulled from a different shelf. This one has something on it though. “Almost mimicking the gesture emahundi had done moments ago Victoria now tilted her head for a moment as she read the paper. “You’re name is Emerald Lupin? That’s a very pretty name! I’ll call you Emerald now ok?”
Serena watched as the wolf tilted its head to Victoria. It looked like the wolf had been initially confused by Victoria's interesting vocabulary. Then she dashed off back to the shelves.
She came back a second later with a book. It had the label "Reserved for Emerald Lupin" So that was her name. "Emerald is a beautiful name" Serena said with a sweet smile towards the wolf.
She wondered what this girl was like when she was in a human form. She seemed friendly enough as a wolf, she was probably lovely. "I hope you can turn back soon, I would love to talk to you in person Emerald" Serena said sweetly. Her smile was still there, but she began to look as if she was fading a little.
Well now that formalities were out of the way it looked like the trio were going to become fast friends. Then again, this is Emerald we are talking about here, so she was likely just trying to be friendly. Ruby had been getting onto her lately about not being nicer to people so she figured she could try to be nicer to some of the newer members of the mansion.
A loud growl erupted from the wolfs stomach and she looked at the two girls curiously. Emerald knew that the Kitchen was marked on the mansions tour map and even if the girls didn't follow she was gonna get some food so she could shift back.

Victoria also hoped the wolf girl would change so she could see what the mutant looked like in human form. Plus it really would make communicating easier. Thought the little blonde did find it pretty cool that Serena and herself had been talking to a wolf. It was like a fairytale.
Suddenly there was a growl sound but it sounded different than a dog’s warning. What could it have…wait…it kind of sounded like when someone is hungry. Turning with a smile to Serena Victoria’s face lit up as if she had discovered something like a detective. “I think Emerald is a hungry wolf. We should go to the kitchen so we can feed her.”
Serena heard the wolf's stomach grumble. Bless, she was hungry. Then Victoria suggested they went to the kitchen to get the wolf some dinner. Serena pondered what Emerald ate, in wolf form did she eat raw meat like other wolves did.
She certainly wasn't like other wolves. Serena was very thankful she was a friendly wolf however. Otherwise Victoria may have been hurt. She turned to Victoria and Emerald "Good idea Victoria. Emerald, would you like to lead the way?" Serena said with a smile.
