The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was early morning, the sun still peeking out from its cover, the sky still painted with pink and gold. Clouds covered the sky and a chilly breeze set in. Ty walked through back alleys, taking every shortcut he knew home, hands stuffed in his pockets, looking down occasionally at the black shirt with green flames.
He sighed. Now that he was alone, his mind wandered. And it wandered everywhere. He was so confused, so lost. He met a girl he really like, but of course she obviously had some emotional issues. But...he didn't care. He'd broken through the walls she'd put up, and he knew she was really sweet deep down. He sighed, shaking his head. He didn't want to leave her in her sleep like he did, but he figured all things considered, it'd be best that way. But this was definitely his new favorite shirt, that was for sure.
He stopped, next to a sleeping homeless person, a blue denim jacket draped over them like a blanket. Swiftly, he snatched it, pulling it on. Just the right size...
Turning the corner, he leaned against the wall a distance away and out of the line of vision of the homeless person should they wake up.
Then, it hit him. He'd killed a man. It was an accident, and he saved the girl he really liked in the process. But...where did he stand? Was he a bad person? He was a thief, some would say a punk, a murderer...but he had his reasons. But did a good motive make you a good person even if you did things that were...questionable?
Putting the tiger in the pockets of his new jacket, he kept walking, not really paying attention. "If you do something wrong, but with good reason....does that make one a bad person? Ugh...." In his muttering, he continued spacing out.
It was later then Aura liked being out. The sun was rising and Aura felt little good ever came from the ball of flame other then warmth. Either way she had actually not killed a soul the entire time she had been out. It felt strange, but she had just gotten out of the human cage, they called jail. Luckily for her News of which had been sidelined do the recent police brutality against Mutant's. Aura smiled to herself as she wondered the Alleyways.
She looked almost to nice to be wondering the alleys alone. Aura recalled what she had done to her room and why she was moving in with Allison. It was then she hard foot step's coming down an intersecting alley. She kept moving forward figuring she would deal with whoever it was when the time came.
Her aura emerged into view all at once as she came into the cross section of the Alley. Wanting to be prepared for anything, she only tilted her head as she saw the man walking her way. He looked human, but Many mutants, herself included did. Her Aura in plain sight, she moved toward him, making sure to keep a direct but non threatening pace.
"Hello, new freind, this is a dangerous place for someone all alone. " she said with a smirk believing she was likely the most dangerous creature in the the local area. "My Name is Aura and yours?' she asked not wanting to directly ask if he was a mutant right away. Some Mutants wanted to hide their powers, Aura was always saddened by hearing of such things.

Ty was snapped out of his train of thought by a voice, one he didn't recognize. Judging from the pink aura around her, she was obviously a mutant. It seemed like he was running into a lot of those, lately, but he didn't mind. From what it seemed, other mutants didn't seem to give him so much trouble as humans, lately. The redhead stopped in front of her, realizing his hair was a mess; sleeping on the floor after a shower tended to do that.
"Danger follows me around," he answered. "Haven't heard any gunshots yet, so I think we're good." He gave her a somewhat sly grin, extending his gloved hand. "Ty. Ty Fisher," he replied. "Nice meeting you," he guessed. Time would have to be the judge of that. Though he was trying to go about his life as normal, it was obvious he was a very troubled young man, as it was.
SHe listened to his words with an amused smile. Aura was unsure if he had any idea how true that statement was at the moment. SHe smiled when he mentioned not hearing any gun shot's, she had not either but then she tended to be a cause of shot's fired rather frequently. Looking down at his hand she considered weather or not take it for a moment, before she took his hand, her Aura between her hand and his. Aura let few people truely touch her on purpose when she could help it, becides she reminded herself, he could be human.
"Are you a mutant as well?" she asked, her curiosity showing in her voice. For Aura much mattered on his next word's. If he proved mutant she could be friendly with him. If not she considered her other options, like weather or not he lived. SHe glanced up at the sun briefly to try and gauge the time.
As she awaited an Answer the aura around her right fist formed the shape of a hammer and then an icecream scoop. Useless in battle she had found the ice cream schoop disarmed people's fears when they recognized her face.

Ty shook her hand, finding it rather funny, in his mind. His hand was protected by gloves, hers by an aura. But he had little time to ponder on this, because of her next question. The redhead chuckled.
"Well, right to the point, eh?" he asked, jokingly as the handshake broke. "Yeah, I am. Just look like a normal human." He shuddered, suddenly wondering if that was such a good thing; he honestly didn't know anymore. "Ugh. But yeah. Definitely mutant." He tried to straighten his hair with his hands, attempting to make it look straight without the use of a mirror.
Okay, the ice cream scoop was amusing, and her mutation intrigued him. "Interesting," he murmured with a low whistle. Then, he sort of glanced around. "Mine's more...informative than anything."
Aura took the man's reaction at looking human which made her smile. She had often wanted something to mark her as a visible mutant. When she did use her power it made her instantly identifiable to most who frequented watching or reading the News. Still she enjoyed the moment of stunned silence that often accompanied a human who encountered her. Those seconds were almost all Aura ever needed to end the issue.
"Good, i prefer the presence of those of our kind" she said honestly, her eyes sweeping the alley for any sign they might not be alone. "As you can see, i create an aura around my body, thus my name Aura" she offered and as she did she raised her hand in front of her, the ice cream scoop, seemed to melt for a second as it thinned out forming a sword like object coming from her hand and then the aura weapon simply faded away, leaving only the pink outline around her body. "What is your power?' she asked in responce to his somewhat cryptic comment about his own.
Aura quite enjoyed hearing about other's powers as each one was almost always unique and beautiful. She had seen a great many at sanctuary but saw new ones all the time for the same reason.

"Yeah, I think I'm starting to feel the same way, honestly. Not many mutants have shot at me." He gave a dry laugh, still fooling with his hair, then tugging at his 'new' jacket. "I see. It fits nicely," he complimented her, then looked down at his gloves when she asked about his power.
"Well...sometimes, when I touch things, I see the past of that object flash before me very quick-like. I think there's a specific term for it, but I'm not sure what that is. I can't control it, so...I wear gloves. And when it works, I get headaches. If it happens too close together, I might pass out. But it's proven pretty useful," he explained, waiting for her response.
"See the past of an object?" she repeated, her voice made it clear she was still considering those very words. when the fuchsia fury realized what he said she smiled. "That's an amazing gift, i can see where that might be very useful......in fact..." She trailed off considering the implication's. of his powers. SHe considered how much help he could be to her, but decided to at the moment keep that to herself. trust was needed first, if Aura would consider asking for his help.
"They shoot at me a lot to.....of course i am usually hunting them...." she said figuring their reason's for being shot at differed. Aura tended to disregard the more common gun's as real weapon's. She had a feeling That Ty was less resilient to bullets and likely was not running down gang members.
"By sometimes when you touch an object, do you mean some objects your power does not work, or that it just does not trigger? I may have some well paying work for a power like yours" she said honestly. Aura leaned back against one of the brick wall's of the alley.

Ty nodded, brushing his hair away. "Yeah, it'd be more useful if I had more control. Though...as it stands I'm not really a fan of using my mutation for others. Let's just leave it at that."
Ty chuckled. "I don't hunt them; they hunt me. For one reason or another...." His voice trailed off, remembering that man he killed. It made his expression darken, and he still had to wonder if he did the right thing. He just didn't know...
"Sometimes it triggers, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't trigger on the same object more than once, and I get headaches after. The older the target, the worse the headache."
"Just as well, what you would see would likely be.......freighting" she said to his reply about using his powers for others She knew he could see no good thing's from the blade and it occurred to her that he might see a part of the sword's life that was irrelevant. The fact he could only use it once per object also made what she was trying to ask quite a bit harder. She decided to discard the idea entirely for now.
"They hunt you?" Aura replied, her voice a mix of horror and rage. Her Aura Flared surrounding her, an Axe appeared around her fists. Few things got Aura more then humans trying to hurt Mutants. To Aura even the worst Mutant criminal had more right to life then a human. Aura forced her Anger down as best as she could. "I can correct that issue quickly, in the mean time, do you have anywhere safe to stay?" she asked sounding concerned for his well being.
"Well nature has a path for all of us and gives us our gifts to help us." Aura said simply. "I can not say what your path is, i know only my own, the path of the solider" she said. She had been used as such by both Human and Mutant, though she only vaguely remembered half of it.
"I live at a place called Sanctuary, have you heard of it?" she asked deciding to bring up her home and living quarters to many Mutants to this new friend out on concern for his safety.

"Sorta-kinda," he answered with a shrug. "Not really 'hunt' so much as figure out that I'm a mutant or associate with mutants. Or maybe they're just pissed because I steal their stuff. But the end result is always the same. Though with current events, I think it's safe to say the issue will get worse before it gets better."
He chuckled. "Actually I live there. I haven't been there long, and I spend alot of time outside still. Mostly getting myself in trouble on my own, or getting in trouble while trying to get others out of it," he said with a dry laugh, then stopped. "Sorta confusing sometimes, really....." he said, his Southern accent starting to bleed through. It was a rare occasion, seeing as how long he'd been living in New York. But some things tended to stick with a person.
"I can see where theft might get humans to come after you, might be easier to simply to kill them" she said offering the advice casually. SHe could see how his power could be sueful to a great number of people. "Humans, mere animals, have no right to touch a mutant....." she said. Aura did not care much about the reason they had went after him, though had he stolen from Mutants she knew her opinion would have differed.
"I have been there over three years now, Sanctuary helped me when i needed it most. " she said honestly. As much as she had disliked Lori's method's she also realized Lori getting her to tone down her aggression was likely why she was still alive and able to be with Allison.
"I guess the real question is, how good of a thief are you?" she asked curiously. Thief s had their uses, more so skilled ones. Aura flexed her back as she checked to make sure they were still alone.

Ty gave a nod, though his face seemed sort of pained at the word 'kill.' "I can't say I'm too fond of killing...that was an accident but...I sorta feel like I'm stooping to their level there. But at the same time it felt sort of....good..." He sighed. "I'm not sure where I stand on that subject as of now."
His smile came back when she asked how good a thief he was. Okay so maybe he had a little bit of an ego there, though he did try to keep it repressed. "I'm decent. Mostly a pickpocket, but...like the jacket? Swiped it just before we met. Generally I stick to wallet. Used to mail the wallets back minus all the valuables with no return address. Then I realized I was spending most of my hard-earned cash on postage." He blushed slightly, realizing he was bragging a little.
"Though I guess it's best to say I've never been busted for it."
Aura caught the look on Ty's face as she said kill. She had seen it many times before, though the boy had killed before. "Killing is a terrible thing to get use to. I know longer feel anything when one's soul drained through my fingers" she said. She knew what she did was a horrible thing and wished the fate on no one else. Her life style after all was very likely to get her killed."Just try and kill little enough where you still feel something inside when you take a life" she advised hoping she was being helpful.
Wallets were something Aura liked as well, of course for different reasons then most others. She was a bit confused on the concept of mailing them back, but she chose not to question it. "I take wallets do, after i kill people, i Take the picture Id and the rest i toss" she said meaning the money, credit cards and anything else that had actual value. Aura had no use for such things and only took the Id to remember those she had slain.
"Well not getting caught is a good thing, the less people know your face the better off you are. Just do me a favor and try to keep your targets human. I really rather not run into you while helping one of our kind" she said honestly hough she knew some accidents would happen.

Ty nodded solemnly at the remarks on killing. "Yeah...I don't like killing all that much. I didn't even mean to when I did it. Let's just say gloves and triggers don't mix and leave it at that?" The pickpocket had to quirk a brow at what she did with the wallets, but he thought it best not to ask there.
He smiled. "Most people don't even realize it was me. Crowded street, bumping shoulders with everyone...they have no idea one of those random shoulders is attached to the hand that has their wallet. I used to have to do it to survive, but now..." He smirked. "I guess that's an old habit that won't die. Besides, it's fun. As far as mutants go, I try not to rob from other mutants if I can help it. "
