The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The noise was overwhelming in her ears and so was the light. Coraline knew before her senses even returned to her that she'd accidently ported. It wouldn't have been through time- she knew that much because she wouldn't have it in her to port that far right now, but for the life of her she couldn't remember the last thing that had happened to her.
She knew she was in the year 2008, she could remember the few people she'd met since porting into the park... but that was it. Had something scared her again? She wasn't sure.
As her senses started to return to ten year old laid curled up on whatever ground she was on quietly sobbing.
Cailyn found herself out on the streets. She liked exploring the sanctuary and the town around. Now that she was able to go where she wanted, she went out almost everyday just to find out what is where and to learn things.
She pushed the doors open a bit and went outside. She walked a bit carefull and looked around. She could never get enough of looking around. She suddenly noted a little girl lying on the ground. Cailyn carefully aprouched her and kneeled down. She looked at the girl while tilting her head and softly said: "hello."
There was another loud cracking sound when Coraline's sense of hearing came back and she knew someone had addressed her. She didn't meant to port yet again, but she honestly hadn't heard anyone creep up and it took her half a second of being behind the teenaged girl before she even realized she'd ported there. She gave her head a shake- everything was working well for her now.
With her little it of courage and last bit of strength she jumped for the leg of the woman and yelled "you tell me who you are. If you try to hurt me I'll send you to antartica!" she threatened in her best threatening voice, still a little disoriented from all the porting.
"you tell me who you are. If you try to hurt me I'll send you to antartica!"
The girl attached herself to Cailyn's leg and started yelling at her. Cailyn didn't even know what a antartica was and why the girl was yelling. She looked at the girl a bit sadly because she was yelled at by her. "Why are you yelling? " She asked in a sad voice. She didn't like it when people yelled at her and it made her sad. She totally forgot that she asked her a question and that suddenly hit her. "They say i am Cailyn." she replied to the question.
Coraline stared up at the girl, she didn't seem at all shocked by Coraline teleporting around. Was this girl a mutant too or knew one like Coraline? She began to cry. "I'm C-coraline." she told her letting go and stepping back rubbing her eyes with her hands. "I'm lost. I'm trying to get back to my time or find my parents in this one." she explained. "but everytime I get upset or scared I teleport somewhere"
"I'm C-coraline." "I'm lost. I'm trying to get back to my time or find my parents in this one." she explained. "but everytime I get upset or scared I teleport somewhere"
The girl started crying and Cailyn couldn't handle sad stories very well. It reminded her of what she went through. Cailyn softly cried with her and hugged the little gir even though the whispers told her not to do that with the whole teleportation powers the girl had. She hugged her without picking her off the floor and said: "Now you made me sad too, i want you to be happy." to the girl. She was telling the thruth because Cailyn couldn't resist sad people at all. She knew what it was like to be sad and didn't want other to be that.
Coraline sniffled and looked up at her. "I need a place to sleep." she admitted. "and I need help finding my mum and my dad." she twirled her hair in her fingers and clutched her purse to herself. "Can you help me with that maybe?"
Cailyn let go of the litte girl and wiped her eyes. She had one little aftersniff of the cry marathon and then looked at the girl. She pulled a smile and offered the little girl her hand to walk her to the sanctuary. "I will try." She said to the girl hoping it would make her happy. She really wanted to help the sad little girl to find her parents and maybe make some friends. She thought that she could be good friends with the little girl as they had allot in common acording to Cailyn.
