The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“You know not many people come in here on a Saturday.” Said Sam a he entered the room. “You need some help with something?”
Cailyn was starled and dropped her pencil. She turned her head and looked at the guest. She straighted her glasses while examining him. Seemed to be a young man around her age. Cailyn smiled a bit shyly and replied. "I wanted to see my workspace." She said to him. She looked around a bit and she was clueless what to do first. She didn't have those elementary biology posters or anything. "well i could use some ideas to lighten this classroom up a bit." She continued with a bith of a blushy smile. She wasn't good around boys let alone some guy who worked here. Something popped into her head. "Aren't you cold ? " She had to ask. She ofcourse knew it had something to do with him as things came to her but she didn't know what. Maybe he was cold because it was winter was the most obvious thing to think.
First day on the job. She walked down the hallways carrying her bag and searching for her first classroom. She was dressed how she would normally dress these days: Colorfull long skirt, white blouche and a pair of glassed on her nose. She was way ahead of scedual seeing as it was weekend and the classroom would be deserted. She wanted to see it first, maybe decorate it a bit adding her own touch to it. She opened the door and sniffed the (not so) fresh air of a classroom that hadn't been used for a while. She opened up the windows for some fresh air.
As the fresh air streamed into the classroom she could hear the children playing outside. It reminded her of what she didn't have but all she could do was smile at the fun the children where having. Playing in the snow with their big wintercoats on laughing all they way. That is how it was supposed to be. She turned away from the windows and placed her bag on the desk as she sat down. She pulled out a pencil and a notebook. She played with the pencil as she thought looked around the classroom. What would she do with it.
(ooc: For the people still at the party room i wanted to stay unnoticed so i typed it this way if you don't mind ow and i came in with a van of the order when the fighting broke out.)
what a day, Cailyn found a van that just screamed go through my trunk. it was still early and she had hopped in the trunk to look through it. There was allot of stuf their that she needed to inspect and play with. She lost all track of time while she did it, not hearing anything around her. When she was done she looked outside through the window. Everything was different and there where lots of people here. Cailyn gasped and she was tad bit scared about all the angry faces and things happening. She secretly snuck out the trunk and went passed the wall unnoticed. Nobody seemed to see her but she was still scared and alone. She noted allot of lights coming from the big house and seemingly something was going on there too.
She walked along the walls of the mansion for a little while till she spotted some boxes filled with paper across the street. It seemed to be paperwaste day. She skittered over to the boxes and looked at them. It was very interresting what people threw away but before she went through them she had a idea. Build a box stairs so she could look over the wall and see what happened inside the house. She skittered back and forth, taking it one box at a time till her stair was complete. She quickly climbed on top of it and looked at the mansion. It was huge and it looked like a castle to her. She stood on the cardboard stairs she build for a while and then it began to wooble. She lost her balance and fell over the wall landing on her behind. She let out a soft ouch as she landed and rubbed herself.
After sobbing for a while over her sore spot she stood up and walked around the yard. It was big and beautifull, nothing like she had ever seen. It was better then the park. She slowly walked looking around the yard until she got up to the mansion. She stood about a few inches away from the wall and she looked up. She got those big amazed eyes as she said: "Wow" gasping at the building tallness. She opened the door and walked. The hallways looked big and nice and she slowly walked around looking at everything she could find. She saw all kinds of plants that she lifted the leaves of to look under.
Eventually she stumbled on the jackpot. The party room filled with balloons, cake and presents. It looked very fun and their where people too but seemingly they where to busy looking outside to notice her. She saw the plated with pieces of cake on em and she put her finger to her mouth. Taking without asking is a bad thing but seeing as how everyone was busy she grabbed a plate.... or two. She got a bit anxious and she didn't want to get caught so she hid under the table with a cover on it that almost reached the floor. She put the cake down on the floor and she saw a balloon attached to the table. She pulled it by the string down under the table too. And for now it was munching time.
The concept of having friends sinked in on Cailyn. She pondered the thought some more about this girl could be her friend. She knew the twins but she hadn't seen them in a while. They where fun to hang around with though and they bought all kinds of things for her. She seemingly already had friends without even knowing it. "Really?" She asked like a little excited kid as she complety turned around to face the girl. It would be fun to have a good friend and play with somebody. Though the girl spoke of all the bad people that she needed to avoid here. She took that warning but seemingly this girl knew everything about this place and she was nice. It was a win win situation in the mind of a mentally unstable.
“How would you go about making that trade?” Sara was still curious. “Would you want the fur too?”
How would she make the trade indeed. She didn't even put much thought to it like most things in her life. She rubbed her upper lip and she wanted to speak but pulled back and thought about it some more. How to do this indeed. She blushed a bit and regretted that she possed a trade. "I don't know." She said a bit sadly.
"But some of us aren't all that bad. I personally try and look out for my friends here, though that doesn't mean I won't teach a lesson to a few idiots that happen to pass through now and again," They just needed to be put in their place. "I wouldn't worry about the dim bulbs too much. You should be able to make some friends while you're here and they'll look out for you."
Friends was a concept that Cailyn didn't fully grasped after 10 years in a mental institution. She still had the character of a 7 year old that didn't know what real friends where. She tilted her head when she was told that she could make friends. "Make friends? " She said as she tilted her head to normal again. From what she had seen from this place was that everybody did their own thing and seeing as Cailyn had a hard time to connect with people didn't make it very easy for her. She looked straight forward to the wall again and she blushed i bit. "I don't have friends." she said as another response.
How was life without a tail she asked Cailyn. That was a thought she never thought of. Life without a tail was normal for her but she never thought of life with a tail. It kind of took her by suprise. She pondered deeply about it and got a reply. "Taillles?" she said a bit unsure of herself. "Wanna trade? " She asked after that because now she really wanted to find out what its like to have a tail.
Cat-sheep moo'd at the cloud that flew by. Cailyn looked up and used her hand to cover the sunlight so she could see it. She never saw a person on a cloud before but she shrugged it of. She petted her cat-sheep and she went into the woods of everlasting cows.
As she entered the woods she could hear the moo-ing of the trees. The trees where made of cotton and the cows on top of them. The cows moo'd and ate the blue leaves that hung in the tree's. One of the cows hung a bit low and Cailyn pushed him back in the tree. Cows where supposed to be in the trees to eat and beable to make milk. She looked up in the sky again and she noted the cloud again but this time there was a giraf with a spear that tossed it into the cloud. The spear was made of rubber and the tip was a marshmallow. Could who got hit with marshmellows mostly landed safely on the ground but they couldn't fly anymore because they alway ate the marshmallow. She ran towards where the cloud should land and the cat-sheep followed her.
It was a fluffy day in magical cloud land and Cailyn was enjoying the sun with her sheep-cat. He purred as she was scratching the wool under his chin. Ah yes, a nice day indeed in magical cloud land. The clouds where giving away the ending of the new movie that played in the movie theater but Cailyn didn't mind. As she had passed by the movie theater she knew everything about everyone of the movies that played.
Cailyn ofcourse didn't know she was actually dreaming but she would simply not care if she knew. Everything was great and warm in Magical cloud land and the best part was... No voices. She stood up and stretched. She pulled a grapebanana out of the tree that she was lying under. The sheep-cat stretched and stood up too, barking at the grapebanana. She tossed the grapebanana and the sheep-cat ran after it, wagging its tail.
She knew allot of people here and they knew here. She came her as often as she could and they where all greating her with waves and hello's. There where mister and misses Cookiedough walking their pet microwave: Heaty. They greated her and flopped their cookydoughish hands. Sometimes mister cookiedough lost his nouse and they would use heaty to find it, that was always fun, but sad too. Then there where mister and misses carrot. They where the tallest people around though you couldn't see that because they always rolled around. She played with there bunny once in a while. And last but not least there where mister and misses cube. They owned a ball shop not far from the park Cailyn was in.
She greeted them all and as the sheep-cat returned with the grapebanana in his mouth they both walked down the road made of chocolate and peanutbutter as they embarked on their adventure in the woods of everlasting cows looking for the golden cow that made everlasting chocolatemilk.
She nodded. She was gullible enough to believe everyone that could make themselved come over believeble. She was in a state of mind that everything that would be said involving her not getting hurt sounded good and conforting to her. Though that she said people protected each other here but she saw some other sides of that. People crushing her toy car and stealing her food. She always got some food before everyone was there so that i wouldn't happen. She had to tell her about it and said: "But but, somebody crushed my price." She might not know what she was talking about but she wanted to get it of her mind.
"Yup yup." She replied moving waist back and fort. She did these kind of things when she was in a happier state of mind and she was happy that she could talk with a kitty person. She had so many questions she wanted to ask but most of them where rude and about kitty person things. Though she only read about cats in books she never saw one before from up close. "Whats it like to have tail.?" She blurted out excited. It was true that the tail was very facinating for her and that she wanted to touch it but that would be ruder then asking about it.
She went into a state of chaos in her mind and it was every voice for him/herself again excluding her own. The whispers where going on and on about things that could possibly happen or not happen to her as of this moment. She couldn't hear exactly what the girl was saying as she was just to occupied with her own voices. A few tears of pain left her eyes but it wasn't exactly crying. Her head bonked and hurt like hell and she wanted to scream. This always happened when she got worked up until the girl said she wasn't going to be hurt. "I'm not going to hurt you, Cailyn, and you don't have to do anything in any of the rooms in the Sanctuary that you don't want to. Just please don't cry."
She sniffled a bit softly and turned around. Her head still hurt but it wasn't so bad anymore. She wiped her eyes and said:"Really?"
"We have a kind of Training Room here in the Sanctuary that you could use to try and develop those abilities of your a little more. The room is completely safe and secure. There's even settings that you can switch on or off that has the room monitor your body and shut everything down if the training becomes too stressful, so you can't do too much harm if you don't want to."
It started to sound like the girl tried to push her to use her powers but Cailyn didn't want to. Frankly it made her feel bad and it hurt her head and if she remembered doing anything it was mostly bad stuff. She pulled hands to her head and clamped up. She was scared of people pushing her to do things she didn't want to. "I don't want to." She started speaking a bit in panic. "It hurts, please don't hurt me." She continued. She wasn't only speaking to the girl but also to her own voices that where ranting on and on to do things to her when the subject of training came up. "I don't want this." She said again only this time it was very soft like a whisper. A single tear dropped from her left eye into her bowl of cereal as her hands where tightened against the sides of her head.
