The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Pix hovered there staring at her old fiend. Or at least the person she had thought was her friend. This lady wasn’t talking like her old friend use to. The bee hovered there in the air at eye level and tilted the little bee head. And being that Pix didn’t have that much of a neck, that means her entire bee body tilted.
“You look like someone I know.” Petunia said as the penny was lifted up and offered to her. “Are you sure you know me?”
This lady that kept crossing the front of the Sanctuary, had become quite a peculiar sight for a little Be that made it her personal business to Buzz around and find out what she could about anything and everything. Today happened to be a slow news day, and the stories weren’t looking good for tomorrow either, so Pix had been literally Buzzing around the Sanctuary doors waiting with the ut most patients and consintra-- Oh look a shiny penny!
Pix dived out of the air, and completely lost track of the lady that had been crossing the golden doors. This penny was a heads up penny too. That meant good luck and the penny must be saved. Instantly the bumble bee started pushing the penny up on edge, with a buzzing grunt, soft velvety bee was then able to start rolling the penny towards the sanctuary doors just when the lady finally made up her mind and went inside. Nearly stepping on our Bee hero of loose change. The bee darted to the side just as the foot slammed down on the penny.
Alas poor Penny, Ya only knew salvation for a moment.
"Hello, anyone there ? "
Pix’s little by leg made a cross in the tiny bit of air in front of her, and then she darted up to hover next to the lady’s ear. “Of course there are people here. You should really watch where you’re going.” Then recognition hit her. “Hey! I know you.”
the two giants started beating on each other, and it was about then that their friend that could be many friends, smiled. For even though it looked like there were six individuals standing there, there was really only one mutant, with a power to duplicate himself and make pointy objects.
The men started walking in a line so that they made a circle around the red dragon. One by one, they split as they walked. Much like the way cells split and multiply 6 men, turned to 12. “Call me Redundant, and that’s Monolith.” One of the Redundants pointed over his shoulder at the two giants.
His hands extended out to the sides Spikes shot out of his wrists, caught in his hands, and the holes where they shot out resealed themselves. Then the other 11 followed his lead. He aimed to stab at the Red Dragon’s left eye. Three behind Ayesac stabbed for his back. One aiming for his heart. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
Monolith’s stone face twisted into a grin. Dude could punch. Monolith raised his fists above his head and brought both down on either side of the other Giant’s lower back. Right above where his kidneys were located.
The other Giant through an upper cut that forced Monolith’s head back, and he stumbled, but he grabbed the other giant’s arm, and twisted with the momentum. Throwing his own shoulder and hip into the other giant, as he pulled the giant into a throw. Trying to throw him into the building Monolith had been shoved back into.
Pix crossed her arms in the coat and continued leaning back against Calley, who had a comfy arm. “Oh Ye of little faith My Calley. You see I know that you actually can’t hold a hamster back. You either squish them or you delay their progress. I’ve delayed their progress long enough to keep them from helping the muffin man. As for the muffin man. His cave has been cut off from the rest of the world. Sure he’s planned for such experiences but he’s trapped himself. For as much as a cave is a good place to hide, they make a lot of moisture. The muffin man has dug his own grave, technology or no technology. For if I don’t get him, the condensation will.” Mother nature. The goddess of insect’s best friend.
Suddenly the truck started going faster and Pix pushed herself off of Calley’s arm to lean forward and look out the window as the hunter man went into police officer mode. Including this awesome little siren and flashing lights. Petunia was suddenly on the edge of her seat leaning from between the window, that only showed her one side of the truck, to the place between the front two seats. “Dude. You get to speed on purpose…” Pix’s face scrunched up like she was making a big fart. Sort of like the guy on Heroes who time travels. “Nope powers don’t work yet.” Though the cab of the truck might be smelling deadly. Did that count as a useful power?
Petunia was at Syn’s right elbow and the other girl didn’t stand much taller than that. With her round face, oval eyes and long black hair set in pig tails, petunia looked like she was nothing more than a teen. A child, and she liked it that way.
She was dressed in a elegant blazer that bordered on being goth because the cut cam close to her waist, fanned out around her hips, and sported even slits for her dragon fly wings to stick through. Add the appearance of green shiny eye shadow that cam from Pix’s mutation and her steal toe boots, and pix was ready for business. Bring on the mayor!
Oh the mutant’s hamsters. Calley was truly naive to think that Petunia hadn’t thought ot the mutants’ hamsters. “Don’t you see? That was the beauty of letting the camps go on as long as they did. By the time mutants returned home to their plotting little pets, the hamsters would have perished. No food, no water, no one for them to hypnotize, into letting them out of their cages, with their little hamster eyes.”
Petunia crossed her arms and leaned against the back of her seat. A little on Calley. “And as far as the muffin man is concerned, he’s not leaving his house any time soon.” The muffin man would truly pay for his fowl interference.
(I agree. Hand wave the time jump. Sorry about my delay in getting a post up. I haven’t been feeling pix lately.)
“Mmmm Muffins.” Why did Calley have to bring up other foods? He was making Petunia hungry and she was wishing even more that someone could have gone splat against Mr. nice hunter’s windshield so she would have at least had a snack.
“Me at the break out has nothing to do with my fellow mutants.” Pix ran the tip of her tongue over her front teeth. “It was about keeping humans in check and making sure their hamsters didn’t didn’t have a chance to gain world power.”
Hmmm. It seemed the petite Bug girl, was getting more of a challenge from the older brother of Slate’s. Did he like picking on little girls? Petunia probably only came to his shoulder and yet there she was having a face to face stare down. She tried to bring her face even closer to his but he had the height advantage there and pix had the advantage of seeing up Calley’s nose. How many fat, juicy, grubs did pix think she could cram up each of Calley’s nostrils? SIX!
"Yeah, I have. Ever tried a cold bite of Camp inmate?"
Petunia grinned. Oh so they were going to talk about quinine. Nice! Lets see. Road kill, Camp inmate. What in the world could possibly be more disgusting than camp inmate? “Nope. Never tried a bite of cold camp inmate. I did dine on camp guard though, when the camp inmates were finished with him, and he was still warm and wrrriggling.”
Petunia’s grin broadened as she admired the small group that had gathered. Hymn would be quite useful and fun. After breaking the girl out of the asylem, Petunia sort of thought of her as a little sister. Leila, Pix didn’t know and didn’t care as long as Leil didn’t get in her way. Shade had more of a memorable face, not that Pix had ever seen his face. But she did remember a few glimpses of shade and silver streak from above at the great mansion brawl.
Petunia bowed to her three companions for this mission, giving a flourish with her dragon fly wings. “This is indeed the prison tour” Petunia announced. “Ladies and Gentl-man, allow me to inform you that we have a follow mutant who has been locked away, imprisoned for a number a years. His name is Ezekiel Grey, also known as the nightmare, and he has a rather interesting idea of fine dining.” These last words were given out with a giggle Petunia couldn’t hold back. “Because of his eating habits humans have decided he is to be locked away. So I say we drop a line, and scare some prison guards.. .. .. to death.” Petunia’s face tilted so the over head lights through her grinning features in shadow.
“The compound is in the mountains, so.. Who’s got transport.”
Pix’s leg was kicked and it swung back to the end of it’s short chain and snapped right back at Calley’s leg. Petunia was definitely going to have a nice red ring on the inside of her leg but maybe she could make sure Calley had the same. She yanked her leg towards her and pushed herself back, comfortably in her seat.
"Just think of this, When we start being able to shift again, it stops being cannibalism. Be vewwwy quiet, Bugs Bunny. I like my snacks at midnight."
It was a slow day for the news. Pix worked for the tabloids and she had been checking old articles for story ideas when she came across a mutant story. Ezekiel Grey. A people eater suppressed and imprisoned by petty humans. Now we couldn’t have that.
It took Petunia a few more minutes to search out what prison the mutant was taken to and if he was still alive. You have to love google on the world wide web of lost news paper articles.
Pix took a moment to memorize the information she could before she left her room and started announcing at the top of her longs, as she walked down the hall. “Going to a prison! Gonna break out a mutant! Want to have some fun, feel free to join! Pleanty of cop toys to go around!” Petunia reached the end of the hall and turned around to see if anyone was in their rooms and had noticed what she had screamed.
Her hips tilted, and she stood in a mock peter pan pose. Pixy wings buzzed, and a smile twisted across her face.
The boy jerked away and petunia’s leg followed. Oh that metal pushed into her skin a little. By the time this was over she’d no doubt have a nice red ring around the ankle of her pail skin.
"No, I don't have it! Maybe you should have thought of that before you made with the handcuffing, Petutie!" “Hey meatball. I only cuffed one side. You could have thought too.” Petunia gave a nod that sent her hair flopping in her face and another consequential jab with her finger. Petunia crossed her arms with a “humf” and turned so she was facing forward in the seat.
I am not sure about Miss Petunia, though I believe she was the dragonfly that assaulted my brother's avian eye.
“I might have been buzzing around pretending I was a dragon and getting birds to make them selves my dinner.” Pix shrugged under the coat. She grinned and turned back to calley. “Just think of this. When we start being able to turn again, I could be right next to you and you wouldn’t even know it.” Because that’s the specialty of bugs after all. “Sleep tight tonight.”
Hmmmm…. This was an interesting predicament… .. ..
Petunia stared down at her right foot, that had been linked to Calley’s left foot. Well, ankle, to be exact. “Oh my”
She looked at Calley sitting next to her and tugged her leg sideways. Consequently giving his leg a tug too. Pix sat there, staring down at her feet. The other, more adult and much more boring men gave their names, and on reflex Pix introduced herself “Mine’s Petunia.” while still staring down at her feet pondering why changing to a bug wasn’t making her loose the restraint.
Slowly she twisted her eyes back at Calley. “You don’t have the key?” Her voice hissed out between her lips. A finger jabbed at Calley’s knee. “It was there a minute ago.” She continued in the hushed hiss. I know. I saw it right before I shot the truck.”
