The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Oh so he didn't want to talk about himself? Well he was sure that Aiden was not really watching the T.V but he couldn't really be sure what he was thinking whilst he's wearing those sunglasses, which was kind of a weird fashion statement. Not that he could talk about fashion as he is wearing a waistcoat...
Anyway he thought that he may as well humor the boy and talk about himself for a while, more specifically the reason his problem is worse. "Well if you wanted to know all you need do was ask, it all started long time ago.... you know what long story short. Got kicked out of my country." He said to Aiden taking care not to reveal to much, and he was fairly pleased with how he had worded it, even if it had sounded a bit short. But in truth that was the end result of the story and he felt no need to go into massive detail.
"you see the issue with dealing with people is opening up, its not like you would just sit there and hope to get anywhere, and look at us we are practically friends." He said in a unusually happy tone, it wasn't as though he was purposely toying with Aiden but it just came naturally before he could stop it. And although he would not admit it it was kind of fun.

The building that Leon was using was fairly plain by the looks of it an abandoned apartment block in some run down part of the city, the exact reason why it was abandoned he couldn't say but it must have been left in a hurry as most of the furniture was still there along with a few personal items. The reason he decided to come here was simple really, he wanted to push his control over his power and see just how strong he could make it or just how out of control it would get.
It all looked to be going well at the start he easily used his lighter to burn a few boxes, then used the smoldering ash clouds to shred other parts of the room making the cloud bigger. He watched with delight as the reddish cloud tore the couch to pieces and burned it down just like he wanted, swiftly moving it onto the curtains and one of the thin walls. Watching with glee as the room was devoured and his cloud of red hot ash grew and grew.
The only problem occurred when he wanted it to stop, he could feel the heat of the cloud on his skin and body as it grew making him more uncomfortable. feeling tired from the work put in he tried to make the cloud stop its work only to find he lacked the control he normally had, and that worried him as normally he could make it stop and part around him to protect him. But if he couldn't make it part or even stop then he would be in real danger.
Deciding it would be best to just walk away he turned and walked towards the hole in the wall his cloud had burned, but what he saw he really really didn't like. Without realizing it some of the carpet in the other room to him had caught light and started a fire, the only reason he hadn't been able to see the smoke was because it had been mixing into the similarly colored cloud of ash now working its way through more walls and rooms feeding off the heat and ash produced by the fire.
The fire which was placed directly between him and safety.

This place was shaping up to be better than he thought it would be, most of the rooms visited already where good and the one they now stood in was really spiking his interest. The robots at the back of the room in particular was the main focus of his curiosity, and posed a few questions and formed a few ideas in his head.
"Well it makes sense to not get the cops knocking every other day, not that they would be around long with your record." He said with a smile, he seemed to be getting more at ease as he walked around the place. As though he was reading a really controversial book and found that it wasn't that bad, just like he was walking with a murderer and finding out that she wasn't evil or bad just...misunderstood by the majority.
"So about the robots. Do they like have a shut off point or will they break you if you're not careful?" He asked deciding that it would be better to know if he was going to spend some time down here in the future.

The kitchen area was quite large, and judging by the golden doors the rest of the place would be just as nice, "So I take it there is a place to practice our powers? or is it just go into the city?" He asked once she had explained about Sanctuary not being dangerous. It would make sense to have a place to practice but at the same time the city had its upsides.
"I haven't got that much stuff, only like a backpacks worth it that. Pushing it is a suitcase." He said when she explained that she could indirectly help him move in, it did pose a few questions as to why she couldn't help him directly but he had a good idea.
The fact that he could come and go at anytime definitely was reassuring and the general mood of the place seemed quite nice, well more in tune with what he was looking for in a place. All in all he was really considering moving in pretty soon but only when he had finished a few more things.

He anticipated the explosives but that didn't make them any easier to dodge, at least not whilst running towards them and having a bruised leg. He managed to duck the first one, not a great feat seeing as it was a blind attack. The second one however clipped him on the shoulder sending him into a sideways spin, this with is bruised leg sent him off balance and falling to the floor. He managed to break off a small amount of the cloud chasing her to break his fall, turning it into a make shift mat to land on which was surprisingly comfortable and supported his weight weirdly. Not enough to rest on but it would take a while to sink through.
Standing up he saw that she had perched herself on another air vent, he was really starting to get annoyed at them, however her comment did wonders to inflate his ego. Bringing up both of the clouds into a single swirling imitation of a tornado around his bottom half he watched what she would do. From experience he knew that the air vents posed a problem on his control, but that was the least of his problems as he could feel the strain of using his mutation for to long appearing. Namely in the form of his body temperature increasing to the point where it is quite uncomfortable.
"Well I would love to keep playing but I have better things to do so this ends soon. Very soon." He said with a very cocky smile, bringing the ash cloud above his head and breaking it into ten separate compact micro clouds, which could in some respects resemble bullets although they are about twice the size of a 50 caliber round. "So see ya." He said with all kindness gone from his voice, bringing is arms in an arc to a clap in front of him for theatrical effect, he sent all ten of the "Bullets" towards her spreading out in flight, due to the size they would normally pose little threat but the density and speed make it more problematic.

As she took the seat opposite he was relived that he would have some company. Her question didn't come unexpectedly after all he asked her the same one, "Yeah couldn't sleep, still adjusting and all..." He trailed of into mumbling that he doubted anyone could understand, he felt it better to say that he was adjusting rather than explain the real reason behind him staying up so late.
He took another sip of his tea and rested backwards against the chair, the drink was doing wonders to lift up his spirits and make him seem more alert. Which normally would be a bad thing but he really didn't care seeing as the alternative was sleeping.
"So how you been, It feels like ages since we last talked." He said taking care not to let himself mumble, which was easier now that the tea was waking him up more fully. But he was still drowsy and likely to miss some conversations especially if they are long.

He had to be honest Sanctuary was impressive, and from the sounds of all the facility's it had well equipped. and the fact that many people here had been through what he had reassured him that this place was right. That being said he knew he couldn't move yet he would need to wait until he could get his things and get out of the Mansion.
"It's good to know some people can relate, and unfortunately I can't stay yet but soon." He said as he set off to follow Aura. As he followed her he noticed that she had turned on her mutation, and having seen what it could do that made him slightly uncomfortable, giving him a feel that they where going to come under attack or something worse. "So is there any particular reason you have gone pink? or is it just because you can?" He said with a small laugh. He knew that he wouldn't be able to enjoy the experience if he was worrying about being attacked, so he decided to clarify why she was getting ready.
"I mean its cool if its just because you can, like personally I find mine fun to use just if not careful I burn things." He added to help get the point across that he didn't mind her using it, and hopefully to stop her getting annoyed at him or misunderstanding him.

It was mildly surprising when Vance seemed to open the door with nothing but a touch, it seemed to take a few seconds but it was silent and sufficed to open the door. "Personally I would have just ripped it off its hinges, and looking at the place a broken door would fit right in." He said, looking at the place in more detail it really was not a nice place, with all of the dead plants and unclean places. as he took a step forward he slowed down a bit as the movement made him realize how uncomfortable his chest was feeling.
With another step he fell to one knee, as the feeling in his chest escalated to out right pain coming right from his lungs. He knew what it was and was just annoyed that he had been so careless to try and store so much so fast, falling down to both knees he bent over and threw up all over the floor. looking at the sick that came out and was on the floor, it had a very dark color being grey or yellow and speckled with small pieces of ash. "Well that sucked." He said plainly with a very gruff voice, he didn't mean for his voice to be so gruff but his throat was burning from the sick and raw from the ash.
Rising to stand again he carefully stepped over the sick now spreading across the floor, on the plus side it wasn't as though he had ruined any carpets or buildings as the place was already unclean. Walking down the hallway he noticed a set of stairs that led down, down to where he didn't know but if the building had any sense they would lead to the ground floor.
"Found some stairs, not sure where they lead but it looks down." He shouted back to Vance, he was happy to hear that his voice was getting back to normal, even if it did still make him sound like he had eaten sandpaper.

Leon could tell that he and Aiden would not get on very well, but oh well he could still try and provoke some form of reaction from him. That and he was kind of bored and thankful for the company, even though the T.V is on he has seen this episode so many times he doesn't need to be looking to know whats happening.
"Well everyone's problems seem more important to them, because they are the ones with the problems. That and if they don't speak about the problems and stay away from people they tend to escalate." He said with a little more stress on the second half of the sentence. Most of the sentence was true and genuine advice and half was an attempt to get him to open up and speak about why he prefers being alone, he could understand why some people would want to be alone especially if they had some form of physical mutation or disease. But Aiden looked normal and it escaped him as to why he would avoid people.
"So anyway why do you avoid people then? I mean like I could understand if you where really ugly or something but your not so why?" He said deciding to be blunt and straight to the point, rather that tip toe around the topic all the time, after all if he didn't ask he wouldn't get an answer.

The questions that Adeline kept asking where part annoying and part calming, which was a weird experience but not an unwelcome one. "Well I didn't really come to New York out of choice but I make do with what happens. It has a really complex and unnecessary story and I'll save you the boredom." He said with a smile. He wasn't lying to her as much as bending the truth, he thought it would be best to not go off on a rant with the cab driver there.
"In some ways this city is like London, and in some ways it's not, like sure its big and all but its also less confusing. And easier to navigate, but then there are places in London that are more open then New York, then there is the subways that are simple and easy due to the fact that London has them." He said with a sigh, the sigh was largely unintentional and happened on its own but oh well. He was reminiscing about his old home and allowed to have some emotions rise back up.
"Everyone feels like that at first, its worse if you come from a smaller place and then arrive out of the blue. But for me who's lived in the big city's all there life its not bad, you just sorta learn to avoid places and be careful." He said with a smile. He could understand how she felt that way as the buildings passed them on either side, watching them fly past the windows he wondered how far they had come from the diner and how long would be left of the journey.
"Anyway once you get used to the city you will be fine getting around. To be honest I'm still rusty about the city's layout." He said with a little laugh, hoping the laugh would help to break any concern he had placed on her with the way he spoke of the city's.

Well this was moving on faster than he had thought it would, he already had an idea that they would have to fill in some paper work and then that's that. But the tour was apparently first and that was alright as it would make him understand his new home better.
"I'm OK with sharing a room, its really up to James as to whether we share or not." He said warmly, James didn't seem to bad if a bit shy but he was sure that given time he would open up. Sharing a room would be more normal for him and make it feel more homely and nice.
"Yeah sure I'm fine with the tour, just lead the way." He said warmly with a smile.

"I'm from London, England. Only been in the country a while, told my parents about the whole mutant thing and well they kicked me out of the country." He said very plainly as the thought was not a pleasant one and often served to bring up pain and anger. The idea of mutants working with the police to apprehend other mutants was a confusing one, in some senses it made sense with the whole fight fire with fire mentality, but at the same time it seemed like a time bomb to him.
The story of Aura's past was horrible, it opened his eyes more to the horrors that could be committed against people because of who they where. Although he had no way to sympathize with her on the matter it still made him feel some pain and pressed an important thought back into his head. The fact that he would have to pick a side fairly soon and the way things in the city where turning out, he may need to relocate to another part of the city. However at the mention of the word Sanctuary he pushed those matters deep into the back of his mind.
The first thought he had when he saw it...Gold. The doors where golden and that was a major surprise, not to mention a major target for thieves but looking at the way Aura handled with some petty gang thieves where not a problem. "Gold...." Was the first word he could muster and said it without meaning to. "Sorry so this whole place around here is populated by mutants?" He asked with curiosity, it seemed unlikely to him that the whole place around them would be only mutants. But nothing is impossible just improbable.

He knew his plan worked when she flew out of the cloud and slammed against the air conditioning unit, by the way that she landed she most likely was pretty hurt and not happy one bit. And by the comments and body language she was not happy about the way this fight was going. But she still continued to fight sending a handful of the orbs in his direction, not confident that he could dodge them after the blow to his leg he pulled the condensed cloud before him to take the brunt of the blow. Sure enough the cloud exploded moments later reveling that was running, that was odd the cocky one who started the fight saw fit to run from him.
"Aw why are you running? Whats wrong can't you handle little old me?" He shouted to her in a mocking voice after setting off in a run after her. After all she was the one who started it and this and he was not going to let her get away. Although he knew that with his leg aching slightly from the kick she could most likely outrun him, heck she could outrun him even without the leg injury but he had his own ways around that. With a thought he sent the thin cloud of ash behind them rocketing forwards past him and low to the ground, he wasn't sure if he would make it but the ash might make running a little more tricky and in best case trip her up.

The sight of his head popping up was a welcome one, it was also different and amusing to see how stupid some cops could be around the city, taking the word of one man over other bystanders but it worked and that's all that matters. When he moved away from the trash cans he saw how messed up Vance looked with his clothing and hair both being dirty, seeing as he was the cause of this he should at least say sorry. "Hey thanks for that, names Leon by the way and sorry about getting you all messed up." He said with the half smile. "To be honest I am really surprised that they bought it, and it sucks that you have to go give a statement." He said keeping with the smile, after all it would be rude to not be nice to the guy after what he did for him.
Standing up straight he looked around for door and noticed one above, without waiting to see if Vance was OK he moved up the stairs and waited before the door wondering what was behind the door. From the look of the door the place would be a normal bog standard apartment building, so he guessed that this would lead into someones home or a hallway. Deciding the best way to find out was to enter he tried to open the door. It was locked and shook slightly as he attempted to open it. From the looks of the door itself it was fairly weak and really old, with cracks and splinters covering it. The hinges also looked like they where hanging on by there last legs being covered in rust.
"Doors weak but we can do it your way or my way. Your choice." He called down to Vance being careful to not let any people who may still be looking down the alleyway for him hear him. He didn't think that he would have to worry much as everyone but the police seemed pretty scared, and after the show he gave them he didn't blame them.
