The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Oh another new person? He thought as Aiden said that he hadn't been there long enough to know people. It didn't make much sense really to say that or it didn't make sense to Leon, who always thought the first thing you should do when new is introduce yourself. But also avoiding people now that just seemed rude and uncalled for. it seemed to him that Aiden had some sort of problem and that needed solving. One way or another.
"Oh really you're also new? I've been here a little while and come from England, so most likely my predicament is more troubling than your's." He said almost certain that he had some sort of problem or person troubling him, The tone that he used when saying this contained slightly less kindness in it, but not enough for Leon to think it hostile but he might have different ideas of what hostile is.
He returned his attention to the T.V for a moment to catch the scene with the voodoo doll, personally it was one of his favorite scenes in the episode, to him it showed that no matter who you where how strong you where, someone could take you down. But again being Doctor who he wasn't taken down.
"So why do you not like to met people?" He asked him returning his attention to Aiden, putting on a half smile that could be seen as mocking by some people, but that was just one of the meanings to him. To Leon the smile was just another facial expression unless it was used on him in which case it normally makes him really angry.

So it seemed like the Mansion staff had two sides to them, at least that was the feeling that he was getting whilst listening to Aura, At first glance they would be nice and helpful but they could just as easily throw you in jail for making a mistake. The thought of spending more time in the Mansion with his current record seemed less and less savory, but it seemed there could be a way out of it.
Some how it was not surprising that Aura had a track record of crime, with her mutation it seemed a little silly to not fight and it could easily kill. When she moved on to the topic of the people at sanctuary he picked up a bit, the way she described the people that both live and work there seemed to be more in tune with his current predicament that the people at the mansion, it would be difficult to leave the people at the mansion especially his roommate who despite everything he felt was a friend.
"That would be great, it sounds more forgiving than the Mansion." He said when she asked if he would like to see Sanctuary, it would be nice to see the place and more importantly know where it is, especially if he needs to make a quick escape at any point. He watched her move around the body's taking each of theirs wallets, it seemed like a waste to leave all of the money but he doubted they had much on them. Whilst watching he remembered that they where in a crime scene and they should most likely move.
"So if we are going, shall we go?" He said with a smile, having no intent to get caught here with the body's and even less to get put in jail. Although he had a distinct feeling that if anyone did come down to stop them they wouldn't be leaving this alley way alive.

The explanation of why she hated humans seemed fair enough, it was a slightly different reason than his but with the same base principle. But those thoughts where completely overshadowed by the fact that she lived at another mutant haven. The fact that one even existed was a shock to him as the mansion was nice and all but the people there seemed on a different wavelength to him, all but a select few he had come to like that is. But this gave him fresh new questions flooding his mind and he intended to get them answered.
"Whats Sanctuary? I know of the Mansion because I've got a room there but is this other place more...understanding? Because I'm going to tell you this isn't the first lot I've had to deal with in the city and pretty soon they might find out...." He said wondering what would happen if the people at the mansion where to find out about the killings. Would they chuck him out or would they give him to the cops, or would they understand? He very much doubted that they would understand as some people around the mansion where not mutants so they would object.
He made a mental note to check out the place regardless of what happens. Seeing as he may need a place to escape if he ever got caught, but first he still had more questions plaguing his mind. "This place then I guess they all have this view on humans?" He asked, it was more a personal question that was on the top of his mind and had no bearing on the place itself. But if the place was full of human hating mutants then that would be nice to know.

By the sounds of her coughs she wasn't enjoying this type of environment. that was when he felt the kick knock his left leg out under him, it was surprising that she could hit him right now but it also made sense as he didn't block her hearing. Oh well in this cloud it was his world and his rule.
whilst on one knee he moved back slightly not eager to receive another hit from her, and judging by the green glow she was about to start letting loose some more explosives, which he really did not want to get hit by. Making two fists with his hands he made some of the ash around her to pull together forming two thick sections either side of her head, This would most likely make her breathing easier but he could now attack from a distance within the smokescreen. but hey he couldn't take all the fun out of the fight could he?
"So is this fun enough for ya?" He called as he made the two thick clouds within the cloud move to double punch her in the face, the first cloud would move and deliver a form of right hook immediately after a upper cut would hit from below. The density of the cloud is at enough to lift a man and keep him suspended, so Leon guessed that it would feel pretty solid when applied to her face.

Oh so he had never seen Doctor Who before? This was a rare kind of person indeed, at least rare in the sense that Leon had almost never met someone who had not seen Doctor Who. There was something odd about Aiden to Leon it seemed to him that there was a secret behind all of the pauses, like he was trying to hide something. Of course it could have been just the heat starting to get to him and making him sluggish, but still it seemed odd.
"Really never seen it? Well this one is great the Doctor goes to William Shakespeare and they stop a load of witches together, I mean come on whats not to love?" He said to Aiden hoping that more conversation would make him open up and release what ever secret he was holding, if he was indeed holding one. Then there was the fact that he didn't met most people which again struck him as odd, seeing as it made sense if you where going to live here to try and get along with the other people here. But oh well each person was to there own he guessed as he spent allot of time wandering the city looking around. Instead of meeting the people around the mansion.
"So why haven't you met most people? Because I spend allot of time around the city but even I meet some people." He said with a grin, he had decided to try and release some information about him and his lifestyle. Hoping that Aiden would in turn do the same, even if he didn't he wasn't about to give up on him it was too hot to be lazing around doing nothing. And if he couldn't have fun in the city then he was going to have some fun right here, or try to have some fun.

Looking at the woman now demonstrating her powers he understood how she had won so fast, forming multiple weapons out of what looked like some form Armour. That would be tough to get past if he ever had to fight her, but from her body language and general tone a fight wasn't going to happen. Having seen her power and having listened to a brief description he couldn't deny her request to know more about his. Making the clouds around his body shoot above his head and break into a multitude of smaller clouds, he pulled as much as he dared into his mouth and into his body. Sending the rest down to the floor around him like snow. "I'm Leon and I can control ash, store a limited amount in my body and tend to light on fire." He said with a smile.
The second question was one that he was dreading to hear, having been pondering it himself only moments before. That being said he would have to make a choice sooner or later and it appeared that time was now, quickly rummaging through his memories for an answer he was met with images and memories that made him mad. Not the average mad but furious with everyone that had shunned him and spat on his life for being a mutant. And yet here someone was complimenting him for being a mutant the same thing most saw as a curse on him she saw as a blessing. "No not really, been messed about one to many times recently." He said after a small pause.
He noticed that no one in the streets seemed to care much that people where screaming and being killed, He wasn't really worried much at the lack of sirens or protests. Although the alley did seem quite a bit darker now that his flames had been put out. "So I take it you don't really care much for them either?" He asked her, remembering her earlier comment about them being human or mutant.

He released the gang member from the ash cloud, and by the look of the burns covering much of his neck and jaw he was done for. With that one out of the way he returned his attention to the remaining member, and by the way he seemed unable to answer the question he guessed he was human. The man lunged forward to try and stab him in the body, having anticipated the attack and the sluggishness of he attack itself Leon easily sidestepped and elbowed him in the chest. As his elbow made contact with the gang members clothing there was a small spark and the flames on his elbow set the mans shirt alight.
As the man stumbled back and tried to swat out the flames now rapidly spreading across his clothing he glanced a look at how the woman was doing. He was surprised to see that she had already taken care of the rest of the members and appeared to be checking her head for injury's. Remembering that there was an angry man trying to stab him he whipped the cloud around the man who by the looks of things had accepted his fate. As the cloud encased the man it spun and spun pulling the burning clothes off the man and adding them to its mass. confident that he was done as the ash was still glowing and received more heat from the burning clothes he started to walk down the alleyway towards the woman.
When the mans cries had stopped he pulled the cloud to gather around his legs, although it had grown much more than he thought it should have and he dared not think where all the extra ash came from, with the increased size he had to make some of it swirl around his arms and hands in addition to his lower body.
"So...Truce?" He said with a laugh, hoping that she would not do to him what she did to the body's around her. But seeing from her earlier statement about humans and mutants he should be fine.

Typical. The gang would be attacking another mutant he thought as he saw the pink glow from the center of the remaining members, by the sounds of it they where having some fun in their own group over there, but that was the least of his concerns or should it be ideas. As he saw two of the members break off and target him, taking a quick glance at the burning bag in his hand told him what he wanted to know. With a slight thought he forced the red hot ash in the flames to spin and swirl into the bag, churning up all of what he now knew was newspaper. By the time the members reached him he had reduced the bag to a pile of ashes.
As the first man reached him he could see they both had knives drawn, this didn't entirely surprise him as knives seemed to be the staple weapon of any gang. But those thoughts didn't stop the sight of him sending him into a furious rage, he was done with the ideas of co-existing and equality. If they wanted to fight mutants then they could get wiped out by mutants. He couldn't tell if that was the rage in his head or his genuine thoughts but he was going to follow them for now at least.
The first guy took a swing at his head, which Leon neatly dropped below, with a swing of his fist he delivered an uppercut to the base of the mans jaw, although the force of the blow wasn't as powerful as he thought it would be it didn't need to be. Straight after the initial contact a shifting cloud of ash lifted the man off of the ground by his neck which was left open by the uppercut. Leon could both see and hear the burning ash work at the mans throat and his cries confirmed that it was blistering hot.
The voice of what he guessed was the mutant brought him back to the fight, hearing what she said he turned to the remaining member who had come to fight him. Knife in hand an oddly determined look on his face. "So which is it?" He asked the man his tone of voice backing up the threat made by the mutant.

The day had been hot and far hotter than Leon would have liked, for the best part of the day he had been wandering around the city as the usual and trying to get a feel for the layout and hot spots. After learning nothing new of interest he had decided to just kick back and watch some T.V in the living room, hoping that it would at least make some of the heat bearable. It would be fair to say that it did not help the heat and served to make him slightly cranky and tired.
As he sat there watching some old Doctor who reruns. This time it looked like it was the episode where David Tennant saves the world from some evil witches and mets William Shakespeare, personally it was one of Leon's favorite episodes as it shows the great English writer and all of England in its not so glorious...glory. It was roughly halfway through when some boy that he had never seen before slumped down onto the couch next to the seat he was in. By the looks of him he was far to hot in this heat and rather bored by the choice of entertainment.
"Hey I'm Leon I don't think we have met yet, and I do hope you like Doctor Who." He said to the newly slumped boy, he hoped that being nice would help to keep him occupied and not reaching for the remote. After all he could try to change the channel but nobody denies Leon his entertainment...

Leon had decided to try and learn some more of the elusive places in New York. so far he had been wandering around some of the back alleys for a while now, thinking about what he was going to do in the city and if the choice of staying at the mansion like is good for nothing parents wanted was best for him, in the past he would have done everything his parents said but as of late he had begun questioning if they actually had his best interests in mind. Since he had told them that he was a mutant they barely spoke to him and packed him off here, and he wasn't even sure that here is where he wanted to be.
These thoughts continued as he walked down the alleys, as he mulled it over most of the normal people that he had come across where either mean to him of attacked. To him as a naturally aggressive person this gave him a pretty good indication as to what was happening in the world, and it seems to him that pretty soon he would be forced to take sides. But the question was which side would he take as allot of his thoughts seemed to drift between leaving the mansion and being homeless, or sticking and helping some people that didn't seem to want him much.
As he turned down another alleyway he saw what looked like a gang of what must he at least four guys doing something, from this distance he could not clearly see what they where doing but by the way the where standing it seemed obvious enough that someone was in the middle of that gang. He cursed to himself slightly as he had previously gotten rid off all the ash in his body, it wasn't as much choice that he did it as need. The whole experience had been rather horrid as he was literally vomiting ash into a bin. Grabbing a bag of what looked rather unsavory and paper-ish from a nearby trash can, he took out his lighter and lit it hoping that it would burn fast enough to supply him with the ash he needed.
"Hey b*****s why don't you pick on someone our own size?" He called out to the gang of people hoping that it would make them stop before he had to make them stop, but having dealt with gangs before he pretty much knew the answer and only called out to look tough.

She managed to block the blow to her head with her arm, This is it I've got her now He thought as he watched the ash cloud continue to move, Then she did the whole explosion thing again, and to be quite honest he was getting annoyed at that. He watched as the cloud that would have knocked her flat burst all around, spreading throughout the air like a smoke bomb.
He had to smile slightly as she had unknowingly given him an advantage, for he could breathe in this new screen covering them but from her earlier coughs it appears she cannot. This made him feel cocky and self centered as this woman who was all cocky and annoying helped him. He willed the newly exploded cloud to spread out across them and the area around them, pulling it as thin as it would do. the area wasn't as large as he would hope but it did cover what he guessed was a 3 ft (1 yard) radius around them.
With his other hand he went to punch her in the stomach, which with the flames and smoldering mini cloud he guessed would hurt, at the same time he made the small coating of smoldering ash on his blocked hand shoot towards her face, more to blind and disorientate than to deal damage.

She swept the staff up into a block, not bad and that showed that this was not her first fight. As his fist hit the staff it went sliding sideways slightly, this threw him slightly off balance and jarred him arm. Which was pretty painful he had to admit. She also appeared to have very good reactions having blocked his attack then dodged his cloud.
"Its a good fight, so yes I am having fun." He replied to her with a smile. He noticed that she coughed again, so maybe she wasn't dodging as well as she seemed to be. the ranged tactic wasn't working fast but at some point they would connect. and that would be that. He made the cloud of ash split again, bringing one of the two clouds to him and spiting it again. so he had three clouds one medium size and two small.
With the small clouds he wrapped one around each hand to serve as cushioning for any blows and for some added kick to his attacks, and he sent the medium cloud racing around to bring up the rear, launching himself into another attack he swung his fist to try and catch the side of her head, with the combination of the flames and now smoldering ash he guessed it would hurt and burn quite a bit. At the same time he brought the cloud around close to the floor to try and disrupt her footing.

He hadn't thought that she had concealed weapons, although her use of the staff did make her surrounded and by the sounds of her coughing she just had the first taste of how unpleasant it would be to get hit. Although that staff would be a issue as it gave her more close range than he had, and as such made dodging the low attack difficult. The earlier attack however had left him more observant and he quickly jumped over the swinging staff, It wasn't a perfect jump though and he barely manged to clear the staff.
Upon the landing he went directly into a punch winding it back as he jumped so that it would gain some extra momentum, he could see the flames on his body curling around his fist as he fell so he guessed the fire would make up for what he lacked in brute strength. As he did this the clouds behind her met each other and merged back into one cloud, the slightly hot ashes at the center re sparking each other, as it throttled towards the back it shrunk in size slightly as the ash compacted together forcing the hot ashes closer to the center and the other ashes. This attack he knew would easily lift a person if they got hit and would most likely hurt quite a bit, although the smaller size and slower speed gave them more time to react.

Damn she was faster than he had originally thought, neatly dodging his initial attack and launching her own, unfortunately he was to focused on her and only noted her attack at the last second, attempting to move out the way only served to hit him in the shoulder, it knocked him into a sideways spin landing him clean on the roof, This brought his attention back to the fact that this would not be a one sided fight.
Jumping back to his feet he saw the small glowing orbs much better than the first, jumping to the side at the last minute with one missing his head by inches, he could feel his mind fighting to keep the fan from breaking down the cloud, so far it seemed like he could keep it together but loosely. Opting to change tactics would be the best course of action he thought feeling a slight throbbing in his shoulder.
Wheeling the cloud back to him he split it so that two separate clouds flew past him, catching each with his hand hoping the flames would spark some more glow, although the contact with him lasted for only a second if that he had little or no time to check. Spinning the two clouds around he sent a double attack her way, one cloud going directly forwards and one circling around. At this density he knew they would not pick up someone but the small amount of heat left in them and the speed that they would hit could disorientate and restrict oxygen.

After stretching he moved to wait by the door, watching the girl as she went over and gave the waitress some money for kicking them out, he couldn't help but smile at that this girl was by far one of the weirdest people Leon had ever met and even served to calm his normal anger issues. Once the girl had joined him and the went outside she offered to split the cab ride, again this surprised him but not as much as it should have as he was starting to get used to the weird niceness.
"I really Don't mind paying the cab and getting one is never difficult in NYC." He said when she didn't know how to get a cab, Before waving his hand to the oncoming tide of traffic, it took roughly 30 seconds for a typical yellow cab to come rolling to a stop before them. He preceded to open the door and get in the cab leaving it open for the girl to climb in after him.
"So where to mate?" Said the cab driver in a heavy accent, the accent was so heavy that it took Leon roughly 3 seconds to register what he had said to him. "Xavier's school, could be called the mansion. for me and the girl there." He said to the cab driver, once he had said that he realized that with all of the recent buzz around mutants asking to go to a mutant school was probably not the best idea.
"All right mate, we'll set off once she gets in alright?" Said the driver, to the genuine shock of Leon who had expected him to be at least reluctant. "Yeah sure, you coming?" He said to the driver, turning to the girl at the end of the sentence.
