The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

he stood at the side door marked employees only, the place was a simple store selling the basic goods and wasn't to large. he could smell the fire next to him burning like it had been for the last few minutes in preparation for what he was about to do. After giving the door a simple once over he could tell that it would be easy enough to break and he knew it led right behind the counter, having noticed that the fire had died down and left him with all he needed he braced himself for what he was about to do.
He blew out all the ash he had and formed a sort of head mask with it, a simple thing and soon did the same with his whole body, then used the remaining ash from the fire to form two long whips attached to his arms, covering half his for arm and trailing two meters long each, ever since his first use of this particular move it had become his favorite in sheer power and speed. Catching a glimpse of himself in a window he had to laugh, with all the smoke and ash he reminded himself of a sort of demon like creature, the effect was amplified when he could see the ash glowing and feeding off the fire it covered.
Pushing all the Hot ash into the whips and pulling the cold ash to the flames coating his body, the whips started to glow as all the ash they where made from got replaced with red hot ash. "Well lets make it fun then." He said to himself cheerfully. Before swinging the whips in a cross across the door, which as he though got cut cleanly into 4 pieces which each had notably burn edges. Before running into the store to do what he came to do.
Once in the store it became clear how easy this would be, one quick horizontal swipe was needed to cleanly destroy half the store, and by the looks of it kill some people that where shopping. He calmly strode over to the shopkeeper spinning his toys as he did letting each swipe burn marks into the floor and send up a shower of sparks, "Now now now lets not get nasty but..." He decided to not bother ending that sentence and instead wrap once of the whips around the mans neck like a tentacle, before tossing the limp man like a rag doll.
After that he got what he came for and put the 200$ in his pocket, and just for good measure and as he was in a massive ego boost, he spin in the center of the room and watched with glee as the whole store fell apart each aisle cut in half and some people/ items ablaze. Before grabbing a body with the whips and throwing it through the glass doors to make a entrance to the street.

It turned out she had moved around allot more than he had, that wasn't a problem or anything in his mind as the only real step he cared for was the last one, which was both of them ending up here in America. "Well you could say that, the people here are certainly different and more opinionated." He said with a little simile, having picked up on a hint of sarcasm.
It was true though the people in the city are more lively and loud than he was used to, that certainly had not helped his anger issues seeing as he found it difficult to get any peace and quiet. But on the plus side there was no end of things to do that could vent that anger. "But really the city is great, its got enough to keep me going and having fun. In the end that's all I really need." He said keeping with the smile.
He took another sip of his tea and put his head back for a second. "So what bout you? How do you find the big city?" He asked after a moment of resting his head.

Leon slumped back into the nice comfortable chair once they reached the lounge. He felt much better now that he was back in the soft nice chair and not walking through corridors and rooms. Once he was comfortable he reached over and poured himself another cup of tea, the drink reminded him of home and his past life but more importantly it tasted very nice.
"So I can tell your accent is British, but where exactly from England do you come?" He asked deciding that if they where going to be talking for a while then it would be best to try and talk about something meaningful. "Like take me, I'm from England as I'm sure you have gathered and more recently from Eton." He said after thinking that it would be better to go first. After all you cannot hope to receive without first giving them something.

"Guns...well I can be shot and not do much about it, unless you count blinding them or knocking the gun away. In a sense I can't really defend except with a offence. That and I get the unfair advantage of being able to breathe whilst they can't" He said to her inquiry about his ability against guns, he hadn't really considered that, but it didn't phase him much when he thought about it as long as he could stop them pulling the trigger he would be fine.
"Vigilante group eh? well that could be fun, sounds annoying to get them to show up and not be left with the cops but I guess it could be worth the fun." He said when she mentioned these extreme kinds of people, They did sound fun though but his only concern was that they would uphold to some sort of moral code, making them hold back and try to change him. But if they where also mutants or these people on M then it could be a good learning experience.
"So whats the cops like in this city? they deadbeats or will they actually try to stop you?" He asked, mainly for general knowledge and how fast he would have to run if they did show up.

One minute he was listening to her taunts and concentrating on pelting her with his attacks, the next he was flat on his back. When he pulled himself back up off the floor he noticed that all of the little clouds he had made returned to him, his only guess as to why was that he lost concentration and reverted to defense. "Ouch that one kinda hurt, oh and hows your arms feelin? kinda think they sting. That's the thing I got your power figured out, but mines fluid and...versatile." He said with a little laugh.
Deciding to try a new approach to the whole thing he made all ten of the clouds fix onto one of his arms, from halfway up the forearm and down was encased. The rest of the ash kept running off the end of his arm forming a two meter long thin whip, attached entirely to his arm. The whip itself was constantly shifting and appeared to be rotating, as it shifted the cold ash from the outside closer to the fire on his body, replacing it with the glowing ash from inside that was already heated. Within a few seconds the whole thing was getting an orange tint with the color growing in intensity.
Seeing a thin screen on a vent next to him, one of those cross hatched ones only a few millimeters thick, designed to keep bugs and other things out. He spun and willed his new toy to act like a whip and watched in glee as it cut the grate in half, Leaving a trail in the air like a neon stick at a rave. "I can't tell if it cut that or melted it, want to find out?" He said with a huge smile on his face.

As they walked around the place he attempted to take in all of the information that was being thrown in there direction, he got the general idea of each place and its function but allot of those where obvious and needed little explanation. Just like a place with a T.V and a couch didn't need a label slapped on it, people would assume it would be the lounge. But he was grateful for the information non the less.
The rules so far seemed reasonable and fair enough, with little in restraints or other things that could hold him back. "Nah I'm not a vegetarian so its cool." He said when she explained about the kitchen.
"This place is pretty nice actually and not to different from where I just came from." He said as they went through the rooms, it did remind him of where he just came from and maybe that wasn't a bad thing, as it gave him something with a familiar feel.

"As long as they won't rip me apart if I miss something" He said when she confirmed that the robots did have safety protocols. And having people in the building who can fix you up is always a bonus, he didn't think that he would need to see them often as he is normally quite good at avoiding damage, But sometimes he slips up and that's when he could need someone.
The information about the different kinds of people in the city was interesting, and the part about this drug called M both concerned him and made him very interested. "By the sounds of it the city's the place to be if your looking for action" He said wondering what it would be like to meet someone on M. He was sure that it would be weird and wonderful at the same time as it would be a human with temporary mutant powers, but then it wouldn't be much different than meeting a mutant.
"Speaking of action, know any places or ways to blow off some steam? cos like gangs and bikers are really really easy, and when its that easy it loses all the fun." He said curious if she knew anywhere that would pose a bit more of a challenge than the normal back alley gang.

He watched in wonder as the fires all around them seemed to just melt away once the man said so, he could already feel the comparatively cool air returning to the room. Anyway he was brought back to his senses when asked to move his cloud, which he could already tell was being much more responsive than before. This put part of his mind to ease and reassured him that he could keep control or at least regain it.
With a flick of his wrist he sent the cloud smashing through the wall which apparently led into a hallway. Satisfied and happy with himself he let the cloud melt down into a slightly glowing covering of ash on the floor. With a grunt he pulled himself back up to a stand and looked around at the damage he had caused to the place, it would be fair to say he was impressed, when he set out he had thought maybe he could trash a room but never had he thought that he would have caused this much structural damage to the place. "Well its fair to say this place is trashed." He said to himself more that the guy.
"Anyway sorry about that, kinda got a bit out of hand. Although you seemed to like it enough, oh and the names Leon by the way, so yeah like I think it got a little out of hand...." He said to the man trailing off as he lost words and couldn't think of what to say, he wasn't sure if he should be saying sorry that I destroyed this place nearly killed us and if it wasn't abandoned loads of people would have died. Or so yeah did you like the show an all? As this guy was really happy with the whole situation and seemed to have loads of fun.
Then it dawned on him that he was indeed shirtless, this posed two problems one he had lost his shirt which is fairly self serving in an explanation, and secondly he would have to go all the way back to the mansion without a shirt.

He wandered over to the cupboard that she mentioned, opening it to see a variety of different blends of tea and some coffee, he wasn't really in the mood to be shifting through all the designer teas. Different flavors like fruit and green tea just didn't appeal to him and he was pretty sure green tea is just dish water in a box, but finally he found the one he was looking for. Earl grey the good stuff.
Closing the cupboard after replacing all of the moved teas, he wandered over to Serena who had finished all of the other tasks involved in making tea, in quite a quick pace which he was rather impressed in. Placing the tea down on the counter he thought on the question that he had just been asked.
"Well I'm 17 actually, and as to classes I don't know like I know I should but honestly I probably won't just to take a break and let it all sink in." He said after a moment of thinking, to be truthful he had tried to avoid thinking about it as much as possible. Which was one of the reasons he spent allot of time in the city, to avoid seeing the school and thinking about life choices.

Oh venting emotions he could relate to that, although the issue is picking when and where to vent said emotions. "Yeah I can relate to letting out some unwanted emotions, and yeah I'm almost out so why not." He said with a smile, it was nice to have someone who could share this late time with, it was far more preferable to being stuck in the room trying and failing to sleep.
He drained the last few bits of his tea from the bottom of his cup, then stood up and stretched his back out. it felt good to get out of the chair, but at the same time it felt weird as he was used to the comfort of a bed or this very chair. So suddenly supporting his own weight again was not very desirable. "Well shall we?" He asked motioning with his head to the kitchen. Wanting to get moving quickly before he gives up and slumps back down.

The lie made him feel slightly bad about himself, but it was better than the truth at least he thought it was. "Its alright, the building and people here are nice and its not much different to a boarding school." He said truthfully, the people where nice and friendly, the building had all the needs and functions he required so he really couldn't complain about it.
"To be honest I've spent allot of my time mulling around the city." He said kindly, which again was true as he spent allot of time wandering around, sometimes looking for something to vent anger, and sometimes those things just found him. But sometimes it was just a normal stroll through the city. "No problem its late, Id would be amazed if you didn't ramble a bit." He said kindly.
Taking another sip of his tea he leaned back in his chair slightly to get more comfortable.

He looked up and pulled the last few smoldering scraps of shirt off him, the man had moved closer so he could clearly hear him now. "To be honest I'm not having fun, kinda occupied on the fact my own power is wrecking the building." He said annoyed that this man failed to grasp the fact they where in burning building....Was that a mariachi band?
Now he had heard of some people claiming to see visions in the flames, but never fully formed Mexican's. Not that he had anything against Mexicans just he was surprised to see them here. And not to mention that this guy manged to get here without burning himself, which means he must be very skilled or a mutant. He stood up and took a deep breath, he could feel the ash in the air being filtered from the air in his lungs so at least he wouldn't suffocate, even if he may be trapped.
With that he remembered the reason that he had to drop to the floor and lost his shirt, turning to see the wrecked wall and broken windows he walked over to them wincing with each movement, sticking his head out of the window he just managed to catch the end of his cloud break its way through the wall one floor up. Which was worrying as he had never seen it be both that large and that dense at once. But oh well live and learn.
"Listen mate we need to get out of here, like I don't know if you noticed but there is a really angry...thing tearing up the building." He said trying to get across to the guy that he did not want to get caught by this cloud. Almost to emphasize his point he heard a small boom coming from above them, although someone had left cans of petrol or other flammable substances. "OH COME ON ARE YOU %$£"ING KIDDING ME!" he shouted up to the floor above them. Completely ignoring how weird it would seem to the guy with him.
He was not going to lie it was really getting oh his nerves, and he needed to hit something fast otherwise he would just get more and more worked up, opting to punch the ground as it would be the safest option. As he had no intention to hurt himself in the process and he would not like to punch the man who could help him. As his fist hit the floor he saw the ceiling of the room in front of them shatter with a very familiar burning cloud now in the room. "Oh..." he simply said, having not expected it to do anything.

He couldn't tell if he was amused or surprised when she tried to stand and fight the micro invasion, it would seem to him that fighting ten against one is slightly idiotic, and even more so when these ten happen to be able to change shape and fly. "Well I guess I could stay a little longer." He said slightly happy at the prospect, he didn't really worry to much about her as he was confident that he outclassed her in range. And could easily keep her away but that could just be an inflated ego talking.
Drawing a circle with his finger in the air, half because he was going for the whole theatrical look, and half because keeping all ten of these clouds under control was way harder than he made it look. The clouds now close to her started to mimic his movement and swirl around her at different times, similar to a a swarm of flies, with the occasional one darting across to smack her and rejoin the circle in the opposite side.
"Weird how annoying something so little and insignificant can be." He said to her attempts to swat the ash with her staff.

Well things certainly escalated quickly as a new voice called over to him from just outside the flames radius, he was indeed thankful that someone had come along other wise he would be toast, but at the moment he wasn't as terrified at the fire around him, he could deal with some burns. He was scared of his own creation no longer listening to him, he could still feel it connected to him as it added more and more to its mass.
"Wait what?" He shouted to the man who by the sounds of it was kinda odd. His voice came out much more exhausted and tired than he thought he was, but that was to be expected really as he could feel his skin reaching ridiculous temperatures as his cloud grew and grew. By the looks of its progress it had already burned through another room and was starting to wheel back around and head straight for...him. "Oh...." He said weakly as the realization that he was going to have to either run or take a hit from his own creation. And neither seemed rather appealing to him at this precise moment.
Well that or he could attempt to regain control over it but now may not be the best time for that, as he dropped to the floor and felt his skin burn with each movement. At first he thought this had been a terrible idea as nothing happened, then it hit him, literally. Well it flew inches over him and wrecked his top in the process which he was pretty annoyed at but there would be time for anger later, once this little problem was dealt with. Once the cloud had passed over him and taken most of his shirt with it leaving only a few scraps on him, he noticed that it had knocked the windows out behind him and wrecked the wall.
"Careful I may have made that thing but I think its having a temper tantrum!" He shouted to the man deciding that it would be better to warn the man, after all he was his ticket out of this situation alive and getting killed by a out of control ash cloud would be really problematic.
