The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The Beast's hand squeezed tighter for a second or so. He spoke just a few words. "I've killed many times before...I need this. The feeling on his hand around a throat again connected with him, it filled him with a kind of energy nothing else in the world could offer him. His other hand was placed in hers, if she was to die she was going to hold him when she did it.
Just as he thought he'd won. Just as he thought those petty human emotions that Daniel was suffering from couldn't effect him. He looked into her eyes and heard her squeak, he had seen many people's eye when confronted with their own death but these eyes were different. They made his muscles tighten. He was frozen solid. No sound escaped his panicked frozen lips. His mind darkened and sound seemed to mean nothing. He could do nothing. This was the first time he was ever truly helpless. His sight darkened and he was then consumed in darkness.
The large figure was frozen in that position. His mind was blank from his helplessness and Daniel was edging his way into the front. Daniel's body was slowly become more apparent, his body became less like Beast by the second. The bone spikes was sinking into his skin and his muscles began to get smaller.
The Beast stepped back once again in a panic. She couldn't touch him. She seemed nice, she seemed to care. She couldn't touch someone like him. She was someone Daniel should speak to, she would like Daniel but she would die anyway. Anyone who speaks to Daniel or him dies. That was how it worked and that's how it always will work. The only safe place was far away and this green-skinned woman was tipping the balance, waking Daniel in Beast's body and that couldn't be done. He wouldn't allow it.
The Killer Doctor stepped cautiously towards her, his breathing steadying slightly and he reached his hand out to hers. Perhaps she could see the good in him, perhaps she could see that he'd helped many people. As quick as he calmed down he started up again. His hand moved from her hand to her neck and squeezed trying to get this over with and attempting to enjoy it like he did the others.
Daniel stood in his kitchen. Music blaring 'I feel good' out of his speakers as he danced quite terribly in the privacy of his own home. He moon-walked to the toaster and slid to the fridge. He'd woken up on the right side of the bed this morning and he could only hope things would continue on this trend. After eating his breakfast, it was time to seize the day and make the most of it. It was then that he set off. He was going to go out and do things. He might eat at a restaurant, go see a movie and hopefully return home before it was too dark.
Daniel didn't do everything he wanted to do today but he knew he wanted to get home before too long. New York wasn't actually all that fun when you're all on your own with a voice speaking in the back of your head. Everyone who walked down an alley and everyone who even looked like they were alone was pointed out to him in the most sinister was possible.
The sun shot beams of light down onto the street below but the shine didn't help Daniel find his way around. He'd lived in New York how long? And he still couldn't find his way home when coming from different directions. He'd never been down this particular street before and he wasn't even sure if he'd been down this part of the city before and it was all thanks to that shortcut he thought he'd taken. He wasn't sure how to get back however, had he taken two lefts then a right? Maybe it was 2 rights then a left? You're lost...Maybe I'll come out to play.. It was the shine that knocked the thoughts from his head at first and then it was the color. There appeared to be a set of doors, golden in color. Who would have such flashy doors? Daniel turned away from them and searched for any significant landmarks that could help him get home. "Come on. I can remember this, I'm a Surgeon I should have a high IQ.."
The large figure in the darkness watched the younger woman. She was different from the rest. She didn't run. She didn't scream. She moved and The Beast locked his eyes on her, unsure what to think. Then she spoke, she spoke with a tone completely unfamiliar to him. It sounded almost as if she cared but why would she do that? A snarl escaped his lips and drifted into the night air as she moved her hand. She tried to tell him that he wouldn't disappear but she didn't understand. Her hand moved to him. Getting closer. Closer still. He hand reached for hers for a second before it quickly moved and reached for his shoulder soon coupled with his other hand as he jumped back from her, his claws scraping his own skin. Several small trickles of blood poured from his wounds.
She was something else. Was she even a Mutant? Perhaps she was some kind of green skinned Angel come to take him away from this world. "Why!? Why would you do this!? You're going to ruin everything! You'll make him wake up and then I'll die! Sentences spoken through an out-burst of anger and growls. The warm liquid trickled down his back and over his shoulder following the marks his claws had made. It appeared he was desperate almost as if he needed to hurt something even if it was himself.
The words stunned him slightly. Did he want to kill her? He'd never really thought about if he wanted to kill people. He always felt like he needed to kill, he never thought about it. It was like getting a drink when you're thirsty. You don't think about it, it's just something you do and it was the same with Beast. He didn't think about killing he just did it but how could he answer her with such a unorganized statement. He noticed the volume of her voice, she was still scared of him. Her..snakes were still on alert and he found he didn't want them to be, he wanted her to relax but he didn't know why. Everything he was doing was going against everything he had ever done in his life. Beast suddenly felt himself grow woozy, tired even. He felt as if he was getting smaller by the minute and then he felt a pain in the back of his head. No! He's waking up! Daniel has begun to stir deep in the recesses of his brain but how? The Beast had not allowed him to wake from his sleep yet! A snarl erupted from his lips suddenly as he stared at the girl. "I have to! If I don't then I won't live! I wont exist! I'll disappear!
The Beast's snarling cries echoed down the street. The pain was intense, the most intense it had ever been. Usually it was a small feeling in his skull to warn him to get back to the apartment but it felt as if this was a pre-mature awakening and it burned a hole through his skull. His claws extended and stared at the green-skinned woman, killing her would solve his problem. It would cure his pain.
She had stopped dead, clearly alarmed to his presence. She was frozen solid from fear. He noticed the snakes and his head visibly tilted, amused by the hissing threat he'd received. He moved his way slowly towards her, unsure of his own actions as if approaching something new with caution. She was different from his other victims, not just physically. They all radiated a different type of fear. This green female feared him like someone might fear a blade after they'd been stabbed while the others feared him as a Monster. The Beast had never taken this long with a kill before, he was always more efficient than this. He was drawing this one out, as if he was hesitating. Hesitation? Couldn't be. He approached her more until he was as close as he could be, the slight light given off from the area showing him off.
His muscles tensed as he laid his gaze on her. His hands clenched into fists, his own claws digging into his skin. His hand relaxed and reached out slightly and touched her face with his claw. Why hadn't he killed her yet? It was the question at the front of his mind. If she was anyone else she'd be dead by now. His breathing became sharp as he looked at her. This must be Daniel's doing! He must have somehow effected his thought process. No. Impossible. Daniel was unconscious. That could only mean that he was in control of his actions. "Why can't I kill you?" It was a simple enough question. She could of been controlling his somehow and he needed to find out. The Beast wasn't a being of words and so they sounded forced out of his mouth no-matter what it was he said. He didn't like talking, talking was something Daniel did with other Humans and not something he did with his victims.
The almost glowing purple eyes locked onto the figure walking down the street from what he could see the woman was slightly younger than Daniel and she seemed shorter too. An easy target. She certainly didn't look strong and would satisfy him for a while. Her life would drip through his fingers and he would bathe in her essence. 'The Beast' watched her for awhile longer, slowly moving his way toward her. He watched her from the darkness. She wasn't like a normal human. She was green for one which suggested she was a mutant, however he wondered what she could do. Is she a danger? Could she defend herself? and if she could would she fight him? 'The Beast' put off his initial attack but he continued to watch her. His heavy breathing from the sidelines no doubt drawing attention as he followed her, jumping through alleyways and sneaking over in the dark cover of apartments and other buildings. Her body will join the others!
The Beast's breathing became more ragged, he was going to murder her. He was going to end her life at this very moment and there was no way to stop it. Her last sight will be the glowing purple eyes of her demise. She would be the latest victim of the Monster that called himself a Doctor during the day. He stood to his full height but then he just didn't move and when he finally did begin moving again, he was still only following her. He couldn't tell why he hadn't attacked yet. A predator stalks his prey before he strikes. He tried to convince himself. He watched the way she walked, he eyes stared at her sunglasses wondering what eyes lay underneath, his eyes danced across her mossy skin. She'd noticed him by now for sure by now. He'd given himself away too early.
Daniel smiled at the woman as she seemed to relax a little. He looked at her leg again as if he was wondering what would be the best course of action at the moment. It was then she gave him a strange piece of information that he hadn't asked for. "Why would you being a Mutant matter? Either way you're hurt and I should at least help you in some way. Daniel put his hands up and said. "Now, do you want me to take you to the Hospital or do you want me to fetch the first aid kit from my apartment? I don't want to do anything that you're not comfortable with.
Daniel was feeling slightly awkward, he didn't want to touch her in anyway not out of fear she might hurt him but out of pure fright of what she might say if he did. He didn't want to offend her in anyway and he certainly didn't want her to think he's trying to grope her in any strange fashion, he was surprised how he ever got through surgery with these nerves, it might be because he never really needs to talk to the patient.
The Beast let out a bellowing roar towards the Police Officers. The movement behind him had not escaped his notice but he dared not turn his back on the two cops especially the Mutant one. The Mutant Police Officer spoke to him briefly asking a pointless question and one more suggesting that they could help him. "No-one can help me!" The Beast swung his arms at the air infront of him warding off the Police Officers. The Beast's voice decreased in volume slightly."I don't need help. What I need is to feel the life of a being be extinguished in my hands and I will feel it again soon enough.
The Beast charged however instead of towards the Police Officers, he charged towards the near-by wall. He pushed his foot off the wall and escalated as he grabbed onto the fire-escape that was attached to the building and climbed as quickly as he could. He was sure they would attempt to stop him from escaping some-how. "Mutant! I will find you again and next time, I'll wring your neck in my hands!"
Daniel smiled wide as she turned to face him, he didn't want her to get the wrong end of the stick with what he was offering. He checked her out to look at her wound, it didn't seem like a mere scratch to him. She turned around and he was a little taken aback but attempted not to show it. He had a wondrous idea to clear things up between the two. The Doctor put his hand in his pocket slowly and with-drew his Wallet, opening it up he pulled out his Hospital ID card. It explained his name, where he worked and the fact he was a Surgeon.
"Miss, as you can see I'm a Surgeon..I really only want to see if you're okay. That wound looks rather considerable from here..." Daniel used his calming tone that he used when a patient wakes up from Surgery. She's wounded...She'll be easy..No effort. Just let go. The 'words' reverberated in his head and a shiver ran down his spine.
Why was he like this? Was it him thinking this? Or was it Him thinking this? Daniel couldn't tell but he wasn't going to do what he said, he suggested things before rarely but the voice seemed to be more active lately. Daniel didn't know why.
Daniel walked down the dark street. It was pitch black and he'd just got off work but his last surgery was hours ago, damn paper-work. He could only wish that he spent less time writing and more time saving people's lives and that was all he wanted to do since he was little.
His thoughts were interrupted as he saw two men running and a small trail of blood following them but they were too fast for him and out of sight before he could fully register what was going on. He looked from where they had run from and his curiosity and need to help got the better of him and he walked his way down to find out what had happened. The Doctor made his way for a while seeing nothing and deciding that maybe he should just go home, it was late after all. That was when he noticed a girl and a blood trail followed her also.
Daniel took a deep breath and slowly approached the girl. "Excuse me miss? Are you in need of any assistance?" Daniel motioned to her leg with his hand. He didn't want to alarm her by saying he was a Doctor, he'd learned the hard way that people don't believe it if you approach them late at night claiming to be a Doctor.
'The Beast's first thought was the sound of sirens in the distance. He was out-numbered and out-gunned. His eyes focused on the New Police Officer that had appeared as he lifted himself up. The Police Officer had his weapon pointed at 'The Beast'. The Monstrous Mutant stared at the Cop and opened his mouth to let out a terrifying roar.
He stopped dead. He wasn't going to attack just yet, the firearm was pointed at him and he'd heard an offer of 'help. "Help?! Why would I need help? I enjoy this!" A wicked smile shaped his features and he bared his sharp teeth at the two men. More Police Officers would arrive soon. 'The Beast' turned his head down the alley, there was no doubt that the Cops had blocked the only exit.
The explosion was a surprise the say the least. 'The Beast' suddenly felt his body lift off the ground as the force of the explosion launched his backwards, he didn't move quite as far as the Police Officer did but he bet he fell twice as hard. His head collided with the ground and his eyes blacked out.
His body became slightly less monstrous. His bone spike shrinking and his body getting slightly smaller, all the signs of his transformation back. "What? Where am I?" Daniel appeared to be waking up some. No! Daniel's body was almost human when 'The Beast' re-gained control and the bone spikes extended and his body grew larger. He wasn't sure how long he'd been out, it couldn't of been too long. Two minutes are the most. The recently-distracted Beast tried to focus back on the Police Officer, surely he was affected by the explosion too perhaps it had killed him? but that was wishful thinking.
Hi guys, just thought I'd start a thread so I know who wants to meet Daniel and 'The Beast' at some point and see if anyone has any specific ideas for a thread with some characters.
This Police Officer thought he had it under control. He knew nothing. He under-estimated 'The Beast'. He felt something press against his back, it felt like a fire-arm. He didn't know. Ofcourse he didn't. He didn't know that inside him was an Innocent Doctor, a Doctor that had saved people's lives. This girl was meaningless but he knew Daniel would save her given the chance. Stupid Stupid Daniel. That's why he was in control. Daniel would be nothing without 'The Beast' protecting him.
The Beast examined the woman. She was young and the perfect target. His eyes then focused on the Police Office. He saw the badge, The Cop had dealt with hostage situations but he hadn't dealt with 'The Beast'. No-one who had was alive.
'The Beast' had no fear. No remorse. This all showed on his face. He wasn't some desperate bank robber with no-where left to turn. He was doing this because...His mind was blank. The hand tightened around the girls neck again. Crunch. 'The Beast' then decided upon something else. He threw the girl at the Police Officer while releasing a bellowing roar. 'The Beast' didn't know what he'd just done. He didn't know what was going to happen. He hoped to use this chance to see what was behind him and deal with it and then kill the Police Officer slowly and painfully or die trying.
