The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The saber tooth was free falling towards the ground and towards the other beast that was threatening her. He was half distracted by the woman who was now hiding in the trunk of a tree, but he managed to launch himself into the air and swipe at her. The beast’s sharp claws grazed her belly and shredded her tank top. Blood trickled from her stomach as she in turn swiped back in his direction with a nasty roar.
The beast used his good wing to float down towards the tree that was harboring the blond woman. He backed in front of it and made a stand to claim her as his own. The saber tooth wanted nothing to do with the woman, she just wanted to teach this little pup a lesson for threatening her.
The saber tooth landed on the ground with a thud and clasped a clawed hand over her stomach, the bleeding having already subsided from her rapid healing. Furious, she took a few steps forward before raising up onto her feet and letting out a savage roar, her green eyes almost black with the rage she was feeling. Returning to all fours she growled a warning to the beast before her. He was either going to submit to her or die, the choice was his.
Pop! The sound came from Kaitlyn as the knife hit her belly. It caused Regan's ears to ring for a few moments before laying Kaitlyn down into the snow. Before she could even think, she was flying past the silver man and launching herself towards the shadow mutant. Her claws outstretched and ready to capture her prey only to sink her massive fangs into his neck.
The saber tooth growled as she missed her target, which was a rare thing for her to do. She felt the slight tug of her claw slicing through the flesh and clothes of the dark mutant before landing on all fours in the cold snow. She sniffed at her paw and took in the scent of the shadow’s blood. She licked her paw and enjoyed the sweet taste of iron on her tongue, ignoring the silver mutant attacking the man of darkness as he ran off to the side towards the lamp.
Her dark green eyes shot up as her prey started to break across the yard. With another low growl she flattened her ears against her red hair and took a few steps forward as she prepared to sprint off after her prey, but was quickly stopped by the overwhelming scent of blood coming from a few feet away. Her feline head snapped towards the source of the blood and she stepped over to the young girl instead. She sniffed at her and gave a slight chortle of a roar, as if she was a mother calling for her cub. The saber tooth nuzzled her head against the girl’s red hair before running her rough tongue against the girl’s cheek, checking to see if she was alright.

Regan smiled softly as she held the ice against his head gently. “You are very welcome; it’s the least I can do since I caused the pain.” She carefully lifted up the make shift ice pack off and peeked at the lump on Vicente’s head and then put it back. “Well that was very thoughtful of you.” She gave him a fanged grin and got lost in those dark brown eyes of his.
After a few moments of silence she shook her head and broke the little trance she was in. She smiled at him a little bashfully and turned on her heels to gather the pots and pans that they were going to need to make their dinner. “I sure hope you are still hungry. I know a bump on the head can sometimes make you feel sick.”
She stood up and placed the pots and pans on the counter before turning back to look down at Vicente. She extended her clawed hand out to him. “Do you feel ready to stand up? I’ll help you up; just take it slowly in case you have a concussion ok?” She was genuinely concerned about his head and wanted to help make him feel better in whatever little ways she could.

Regan smiled at Serena and continued working on her plants. Trimming here, snipping there. It was a calm and peaceful job that she took pride in. Regan didn’t think she was good at many things in life, but working with plants was her strength.
“I’m glad you came by too. I like having your company. So what else are you up to today?” Regan wondered. Things had become rather silent between the two as they worked on the plants. Though that did tend to happen when in a peaceful place like the green house, the sun shining in the windows, and the warmth of it on their skin. This was one of the best places to be in the whole world to Regan and she was sharing it with one of her best friends.

Smiling, Regan helped Kaitlyn back up and onto her feet as she accepted her fate and asked about how a stupid rumor would start. “Well I suppose someone thought that it would be cool if there was a plant kid in the greenhouse and started spreading it around for the giggles. Rumors are nasty things, always end in someone getting in trouble.”
Regan handed Kaitlyn her coat and hat that she had pulled off trying to find the girl’s injury. She figured that she should escort the girl back to her room to make sure she didn’t end up starting more trouble, and because it was the responsible thing to do after all. “Well Kaitlyn, I’m thinking I better get you back to your room so you can get cleaned up for bed. I’ll walk you to your room, and then I’ll head to the administration desk and book a time when you are not in class to come help clean up the green house with me.” She gave Kaitlyn a soft smile and patted her on the back, as much as she was still mad that she had snuck in, she liked Kaitlyn.

Regan chuckled and nodded as Tses picked out the red velvet cupcakes just because they matched her hair. She really liked this Tses, if she did get better; Regan hoped that she would keep some of this personality. “Good choice, red velvet it is then!”
After Tses picked out the mix, Regan read the instructions and gathered up the rest of the ingredients and placed them on the counter before grabbing the mixing bowls and a whisk. She handed the whisk to Tses. “Here, let’s use this. A blender or mixer is a little tricky to use. Trust me cupcake mix in fur is not fun.” She laughed and looked at Ty. “Why don’t you come help her hold the bowl and mix since her arm is broken?”
She knew that this was going to be hard for Ty so she gave him an encouraging smile and a small nod. Tses needed them and she needed to build up a trust in Ty or she would never go with him.

Regan jerked her head back slightly as the silver man looked at her with dead eyes and said nothing to her. Well that seemed rather rude of him, but maybe that was just who he was. She frowned at him for a moment before Kaitlyn started to fill her in on what was happening. Here emerald eyes went wide and she gave the silver mutant a rather confused look. “You are seriously just letting him walk out of here?” She wanted to say something much ruder but she bit her tongue for the moment.
Watching the other mutant pacing made Regan a little uneasy and she didn’t like it one bit. He was up to something. And sure enough he was! A knife whizzed by her and hit Kaitlyn in the stomach. The scent of blood filled the air and Regan caught Kaitlyn and eased the girl to the ground. Her head whipped towards Shade and she roared. In a matter of seconds she started to shift into her saber tooth state. She quickly grew in size as her bones snapped and popped, her spine readjusting to take on her new posture. With a pained roar her saber tooth fangs extended from under her lower lip and she took a few steps towards the dark mutant.
Roaring fiercely again she started running on all fours towards him at an almost blinding speed.

Regan couldn’t help but smile when Vicente said a bump on the head wouldn’t kill him. She chuckled and placed a clawed hand on either side of his head gently and placed herself in front of him so she could get a better look. “Let me see how bad it is. I’m glad a bump on the head won’t kill you, I’d miss you if it did.”
It was then that he complimented her. She smirked. “Aww, thank you. You look very nice yourself.” She said as she looked at the bump on his head. He was getting a lump and quickly. With that she stood up and went over to the stove and grabbed a towel. She then went to the freezer and grabbed the ice tray, twisting it a little and taking a few of the ice cubes out. She placed them in the towel and pulled the ends together before returning to Vicente’s side. “Here let me put this on your head, it will help with the swelling.” She smiled and ever so gently placed the make shift ice pack on his head.
“What were you doing down in there anyways?” She wondered as she gingerly placed the ice on her friend’s head, trying not to cause him more pain in the process. She smiled softly and kept the ice in place, hoping that she could help make the lump a little smaller so it wouldn’t come back with a vengeance tomorrow.

Regan watched Jacob head to the shop to call in the crew. The cheers that followed made Regan giggle from behind her clawed hand. She then watched Jacob move to the front door, walking almost as silently as she could and she was impressed. She watched the young man with the platters come in the door and licked her chops, the food smelt delicious. That was when he noticed her. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights. She gave him a shy smile and obverted her eyes to the floor.
She looked up and smiled back again as the young man asked if she was new. She nodded and was about to open her mouth to speak when all of the mechanics came in to wash up for lunch. Joe told her to eat first, so she grabbed a few of the sandwiches from the top of the pile. She watched Jacob usher the young man away to pay him through the line of men grabbing food. The man couldn’t seem to remain focused, but Jacob finally got the money exchanged between them and joined the line up to grab his meal as well.
Taking a bite of her first sandwich she saw the man sit down and look a little awkward. She waited until Jacob got closer and she whispered up at him. “What’s the matter with him? Did I scare him?” Her question was innocent; she had no clue that man was enamored with her, she honestly thought she had made him uncomfortable.

Listening to the girl whine about her powers made Regan raise an eyebrow, she wasn’t entirely sure that the girl was telling the whole truth but it was a possibility after all with her being so young. “Well either way, you helped make the mess, so you are going to help clean it up. I’m sure the teachers will agree with me Kaitlyn so there is no reason to try and get out of it.”
“I don’t have a secret to hide Kaitlyn. We can go back right this second so you can see for yourself. There is no plant kid in that green house. If there is one I have no idea about it. But considering I’m a cat, I’m sure I would have found it, just like I found you.” She sighed and shook her head, this little girl was going to try and wiggle her way out of getting into some trouble, too bad for her, Regan was smarter than that.

Regan returned Serena’s smile with one of her own. “He was an amazing man. I was very lucky that he found me. I may not be alive today if it weren’t for him.” That thought made a shiver run up her spine and she shook. She wished she could just forget her horrible past but it really stuck to her.
“That is a great talent to have Serena. It makes you very adaptable. That makes you very talented.” She smiled and got a few more plants on the table for them to trim. They were making their way through the pile of damaged plants very quickly. They would be able to move on to watering soon at this pace. Regan was really happy to have Serena’s help. It was also nice to have the company of a friend. Maybe once they were done, they could do something fun together.

The saber tooth’s eyes finally adjusted to the dark. Her ears flicked forward as a chirping sound came from across the grove. She growled and locked her eyes with the creature across from her. She took a slow step forward and flattened her ears against her red hair. She sniffed the air in-between taking slow steps and growls. She wasn’t sure what this other creature was, but she could pick up her own sent on the other side of the grove, at some point she was over there by that creature.
Being cautious she stopped in the middle of the grove, one of her clawed hands lifted into the air as she sniffed the air more. Her ears flicked forward once again and she let out a slight roar, not overly threatening, but more a curious chortle. Her tail flicked about as she watched the other creature carefully. It looked like a hunter, but she was not sure, and she was not about to let herself get caught off guard by this creature. The saber tooth was hungry and she was in no mood for competition, though so far the creature seemed to be showing some signs of submission. If it did decide to challenge her though, she would not hesitate to stand her ground.

Regan couldn’t help but giggle as the child-like Tses returned. Before she could even reply Tses was running off to the kitchen, followed by Ty. She followed in behind them both with a smile on her feline features. “I don’t really know anything about her. She just wanted to make cupcakes, I don’t think she even knows what a cupcake it right now, but she wants to make them.” She shrugged her shoulders a little at Ty and pointed him towards the large kitchen that was housed in the mansion. Since Tses had ‘won’ the race to the kitchen.
As they arrived, the kitchen had been cleaned up from their earlier mess. Vicente had been right that there was some invisible force at work in the kitchen. She would eventually find out who it was and thank them for all of their hard work.
She made her way around the counter and to the large pantry. “Ok so we have mix for chocolate, carrot, vanilla, and red velvet cupcakes. Which one would you guys like to make? We can pick out an icing for it after we get them in the oven.”
It was so bright, so very bright. Regan rolled over in her bed to look at the clock for a moment. It was after 1a.m., why was it so bright? With a groan, Regan crawled out of bed and shielded her emerald eyes to the glare of the light that was coming through her window. After a few moments of squinting, her eyes adjusted to the light and she was able to see what was going on outside. There was a small child, a man made of silver, and a man that blended into the shadows, out in the basketball court. What on earth was going on?
Cracking her window open, she flicked her feline ears in the direction of the three. She could hear them taunting each other as well as dishing out threats. The dark mutant tossed a knife at the child and it made her fur stand on end. Fully opening her window, she judged the distance to the ground. It wasn’t that far down, she had jumped from higher trees before, she’d be fine. With that thought through, she balanced herself on the window ledge for a moment, and then launched herself to the ground landing in the snow with a thud.
On all fours she quickly closed the gap between herself at the group across the basketball court. She skidded to a stop in the snow and raised herself up into a standing position so greet them all. Her long tail flicked about back and forth behind her in a twitching pattern. “What’s going on out here?”
Regan watched the pair talking to each other. Tses had gotten up and made her way behind Regan, clinging to her shirt. She sighed and tried to look over her shoulder at Tses. “Well we could all make cupcakes together so you can see that Ty isn’t here to hurt you. He’s a good friend and knows you better than I do. I think he can help you. He knows where you live and what you like. He is your best chance at getting your memories back.”
She was trying to reassure Tses that everything was going to be ok. That going with Ty would be the best choice. Regan smiled softly at Ty. “We have time to make a quick batch of cupcakes don’t we?” She was trying to take Tses mind off of her fears for the time being, even if it wouldn’t last long, she was going to try.
