The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan’s eyes went wide as she snapped her head to look at Jacob. Did he REALLY just say that? She would have turned about ten shades of red to match her hair, but thankfully her fur kept that covered up from any eyes, but she felt the heat in her face. “I highly doubt that Jacob.” she retorted and went back to organizing the sticky notes. She went back over them and noticed there were dates on them, so she grouped them up with all of the matching dates listed, and then in alphabetical order for each day. She muttered a little as she was getting things together. Jacob had neglected to write down times or what needed to be done on all the notes. If this was going to happen more often, she would have to have some words with him.
Looking up at the woman and little girl that came in, she coughed slightly and put on a soft smile. “Hello there, let me see what I can do for you.” Regan looked down at the sticky notes on the desk, there weren’t too many for today given it was a Monday and everyone was busy at their jobs. She quickly went over to the computer and Googled the estimated time of an oil change, 45 minutes to an hour. She looked back up at the woman and smiled. “I think we can try and get you in first thing this morning, though I can’t promise it’ll be right away, but I will try. It’s my first day here and my boss decided to give me the sticky note challenge.” She said pointing at all the sticky notes scattered across the desk. “Are you a return customer Miss?” she asked so that if she was, Regan could quickly get her information off of the database and into the hands of the first mechanic she could get her claws on.

Regan looked up at Jacob and smirked, so he wasn’t going to make this simple at all. Alright, she could play this game too if he wanted to. She sat down and curled her tail over her lap so she could sit comfortable and not chance getting her long tail caught in the wheels of the chair as she moved around. She made note of the icons on the computer and of the microphone on the desk if she needed one of the mechanics or Jacob to come to the front. With a hesitant nod she gave a little sigh. “I think so, let’s hope I don’t scare the wits out of your employees and customers!”
Right away she started to take the sticky notes off of the desk and arrange the customers in alphabetical order. This would make it easier for her to find out if they were in the database already, as she hoped the program that Jacob used did that automatically, if not she would fix it. She rummaged around the desk drawers until she found a pencil and flipped it over so she could use the eraser end to dial the buttons on the phone easier. They were small and her long claws made it a tad bit awkward to try and push with her finger. She figured that she was settled pretty well and ready to start getting these phone calls and organizing out of the way, though she knew it was going to take several hours for her to get this done in the most efficient way possible.
Regan heard the heavy lock open on the door and looked around inside the shop until she spotted her large friend Jacob standing just inside the waiting area. He waved her to come in and she opened the door just wide enough for her tiny form to get through. She took in the nicely furnished waiting area and was rather impressed by it. In all the books she had read, the waiting areas of auto shops were dingy and dirty, this was well kept and very clean. At least she wouldn’t get her fur covered in grease out here.
Once Jacob had greeted her, she smiled and gave him a polite nod of her head. “Good Morning, sorry if I’m a tad late, I had no idea what to wear and then I had to literally run across town. I will leave earlier next time.” She followed in behind him towards the desk and went wide eyed as her emerald eyes took in all of the yellow sticky notes that were littered across the desk. “Boy you aren’t kidding!” She wondered how she was going to get all of these appointments organized in a most efficient fashion. She was a clever cat, so she would obviously figure something out.
She bent over to get a better look at the sticky notes, her long tail curled up over her back as she did. All she could see were names and phone numbers. “Do you know what work needs to be done on each vehicle already Jacob, or do diagnostics need to be done on each one to find the problem?” She was sure that she was going to end up bothering him throughout the day with different questions, but if she was going to organize these properly she was going to need to know these things.

Regan was standing in front of what used her be her beautiful greenhouse with her clawed hands on her hips. She had picked up the door from the front yard and placed it to rest on the side of the greenhouse before coming to stand in front of it. She shook her head and sighed, this was going to be quite a mess to clean up and she wasn’t looking forward to it at all!
Deciding that she should most likely get the plants out of the cold greenhouse and indoors, she headed inside and started to arrange which plants were a total loss, which could be saved with repotting, and which could hang on the longest while she tried to fit them all in her room in the mansion for the time being. Humming softly, she worked diligently sorting her plants and saving the ones she could.

It was Monday morning, and Regan was starting her first day as the front desk clerk of Jacob's auto shop. She was very nervous and she hadn't a clue what she was going to wear. She figured that her black jeans and combat boots would be acceptable, but she wasn’t sure if her tank tops would be alright, it was winter after all. After much deliberation she finally decided to wear one of her dark forest green tank tops and her form fitting black hooded sweater to the shop. This way she looked presentable, but comfortable, and if she got too warm she could take off her sweater.
Looking at the clock, Regan jumped as it was already 8 am and she still had to run across town to get to the shop for 9:30. She quickly looked in the mirror and patted down her hair one last time and sighed. “Well here goes nothing I guess.” She said to her reflection and grabbed her keys off her dresser before heading out the door.
Once outside she looked over the Google map that she had printed off and figured out where she had to go. Tucking the papers into her pocket, she got down on all fours are started running through the woods. It was a nice morning for a run and she enjoyed the sounds of the birds and squirrels chattering in the trees. Coming upon the one road she had to cross to get to the second patch of woods, Regan waited until the road was clear of all vehicles before quickly dashing across it and into the other patch of woods. She finally knew how a deer felt!
She continued running for a while before finally coming close to where Jacob’s shop was. She stayed in the cover of the trees until she finally got to a clear path to the back of his shop. She quickly sprinted from the trees across the large lot and ducked behind some of the cars that were parked in the back. She caught her breath before standing up and dusting the snow off of her hands and boots. She didn’t want to be soaked on her first day of work.
Taking a deep breath she cautiously walked around to the front of the shop and peeked around the corner. She didn’t see Jacob’s car anywhere so she walked up to the front door and peered inside at the clock hanging on the wall. It was 9:15 am, she wasn’t only on time, she was early! She gave a soft knock on the front door and waited to see if Jacob was inside.

Regan’s attention was brought back to Tses as she spoke. She couldn’t help but scrunch her brow and place her clawed hands on her hips in an irritated posture. Her tail twitched around behind her as she was feeling quite insulted by the ‘mansion’ comment. She would address the rest of her statement after, but that part slightly irked her and made her let out a low growl before speaking. “Just because I live at the mansion doesn’t mean anything about who I am! I choose to be nice to people, I choose to do what I feel is the right thing to do, I choose! They don’t tell me what to do or what rules to follow. You really shouldn’t assume things, it makes you just as judgmental as the humans who hate us just because we are different!” She ended her little rant with a huff and stayed silent for a bit as she cooled off her temper. She was lucky to have been allowed to live at the mansion given how dangerous she could be, she wasn’t about to let someone insult her home where she was finally being accepted for who she was and not being stared at like a complete freak of nature all the time. Regan was so irritated that she didn’t even hear Amber say that she was glad to not have to deal with heightened senses all the time like Regan did.
Finally cooling off a little, she noticed that Amber had started to speak and offered Regan a bit of support, but she wasn’t quite sure how to really take it. She could stand up for herself and scare everyone out of their wits in the process, or she could just continue to stay hidden from the world. Then it hit her that she had stood up for herself just moments ago with Tses. She had managed to stand up for herself without letting the beast overcome her. Maybe she could do it, maybe she could show the world that she wasn’t going to take the stares and glares they had to offer! Oh who was she kidding? She could never handle having that many people staring at her and not want to crawl into a hole somewhere to escape the probing eyes. So she just smiled at Amber and gave her a nod in thanks.
Hearing Amber talk about her own experiences and family, Regan nodded in agreement and looked at Tses. She felt like it was only fair to share some of her past as well. “Amber is right you know. I was an orphan as well. I was found in the woods in Ireland by a human named Shamus when I was just a toddler. He was an evil man. He named me and kept me locked up in a cage in his garage. Only time I got to come out was when there was a side show or circus in the area. Then I was put on display for money. Eventually though my “Father” was visiting Ireland and saw me at one of the shows. He was so appalled by what Shamus was doing, he bought me off of him and smuggled me back to America. He was a human too. Not everyone is bad Tses.”

Regan nodded and gave Butterfly a smile. “Well they will surely have something here for you to help you learn. There are a lot of mutants here that can help you with that.” She knew what it was like to have shifts happen at odd times, it had happened a few times to herself. At least Butterfly was of her own mind when she was a butterfly, she was even able to communicate like that. Butterfly was also most likely not a real danger to anyone as a butterfly, where as when Regan shifted, she was a danger to everyone.
Regan shook her head at Butterfly when she said she was just alright. “Don’t be silly, you are very pretty Butterfly. Really you are.” She gave her a soft smile that quickly turned into a bashful grin as Butterfly complimented her once again. She wasn’t used to being complimented, she wasn’t used to being called pretty, let alone extremely pretty at that. “Oh I’m nothing to shake a stick at really, but thank you once again for the compliment.” Regan didn’t think she was pretty at all, she thought she was a monster, she’d look in the mirror at her feline features and burst into tears. What she would give to be able to look human.
Nodding at Butterfly’s comment to continue and pick classes, Regan motioned her towards the desk where the clerk was standing. “Sure the lady at the desk can help us decide what to do and help you get set up. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to live here really. There are many people to meet and people to help. Not to mention the nice rooms and food galore in the kitchen!” She giggled and licked her lips, she was going to have to make a snack later on.

Regan saw the small bit of relief that Vincente showed in his handsome features. It wasn’t much, but it was there and she noticed. She smiled softly back at him, she was glad that she was able to offer some comfort and understanding. So many people didn’t know what it was like to have no clue who they are or who they were. Both situations were frustrating either way, but it was nice to know that once again they shared some common ground.
Following along as Vincente started to show the different classrooms to Regan, she got quite gigglely and bounced with excitement. The classrooms were amazing to her, places built and dedicated to learning, it was like a dream. Regan loved to learn new things, she was a typical curious cat, and she could just imagine what it was like for the children here to learn in a safe place without judgment. What she would have given to be able to have come to a school like this, to have been able to learn without being stared at, to have been able to learn without feeling like a monster. Part of her envied the children that got to come here, but at the same time she was so glad that they didn’t have to grow up like she did.
Once the classroom tour was completed, they made their way back outside. The cool breeze ruffled Regan’s fur and she took in a deep breath of the fresh air. It felt like they had been inside for ages now that they were back outdoors. Her feline eyes adjusted to the light change and once her vision was focused, she looked at the grounds of the mansion. There were tress and hedges all over and she spotted the greenhouse in the distance. She smirked and decided that this would be a good time to challenge Vincente to that little race.
With a quirk of her brow she looked up at her large friend and smiled. “Race you there!” She said and took off running towards the greenhouse with a giggle. She ran upright for now to give Vincente a fair chance since she didn’t know exactly how fast he was. She looked over her shoulder to see if he was giving chase and play with her.

Regan listened intently as each of the other girls spoke in turn. She tilted her head to the side slightly at Amber’s comments about the world being dull when she was a human and in truth, Regan had no idea what that really meant. She had always been able to hear people breathing, see in the dark, climb trees or the sides of buildings, even have impeccable balance. She never really felt the lack of those enhanced senses. Even though the saber tooth was much more enhanced and powerful than she was, she never felt the lack of that extra power because she never truly felt it. The saber tooth was it’s own mind, it’s own creature that Regan was only privy to viewing from a foggy, mumbled world inside her head. She had never considered herself fortunate. “Perhaps I am, but it has it’s drawbacks too. Like trying to block out every single person who is talking in a mile’s radius.” That was something that had always made Regan prefer to be outdoors or alone someplace. Her hearing made her ease drop on everyone even when she wasn’t trying to, it took a lot of practice to try and block certain noises out, but when she was tired it was a lot harder to do. It was bad enough to have to share her mind and body with a beast, but to have to listen to so many people nattering away in so many different conversations was like torture, it made her want to scream.
Regan nodded in agreement with what Amber had said about not being a visible mutant. “Trust me, the whole cat thing is not all it’s cracked up to be. Everyone is afraid of me. I have been called so many horrible things. I try to help someone and they run away screaming. I wish I could turn all this off when I wanted to, it would make my life so much easier.” Regan sighed heavily as she also remembered the years she spent locked up in a cage back in Ireland. Left in the garage of Shamus’s house until the next side show exposition was in town. She was just a money making scene for Shamus, he dressed her in a Tarzan like outfit, a fur bikini, for the added effect of the wild tiger girl. It was embarrassing and she wasn’t going to talk about it with a bunch of strangers. She did find comfort though in knowing that they each in turn had something that they disliked about their mutations.

Giving Butterfly a nod as she fluttered through the door, she smiled. “No problem, I can’t imagine trying to open a door as a butterfly.” she said with a giggle. She knew that her mutation must make it tough to do certain things, but it just meant that Butterfly must be pretty crafty at figuring out how to do things as the butterfly.
Regan gave Butterfly another slight nod as she told her she had no real control. She remembered her saying that, but figured she’d check anyways. “I understand, just thou-” Regan stopped mid sentence and watched as Butterfly started to transform back into her human form. As Butterfly stumbled, Regan instinctively put out an arm to try and catch her, but she caught herself on a counter and started to giggle. Regan started to giggle too. “Are you alright? It really does chose odd times to shift on you!” She smiled and looked at the human face that belonged to her new little friend. She was a beautiful girl and quite a bit shorter then Regan was. She smiled and waited to make sure that Butterfly was alright before continuing on.

Regan smiled at Jacob and took his card with a small nod of her head and slipped it in her jeans pocket. She would check out the address later and figure out the best and safest route to get there. Hopefully there was enough wooded areas around that she could get to the shop without much open ground where she would be seen.
Looking up at Mariusz as he spoke she nodded. “That’s true, there really isn’t much to see up here that we are allowed to show, so I guess we can head back downstairs.” Regan’s ears perked up at Jacob’s question and she tilted her head to the side a little. “Hmm, you know I’m not sure to be honest. I haven’t met anyone who actually runs the mansion yet. Do you know Mariusz?” She asked looking up at the feathered mutant, she thought maybe he had run into someone more on the large and in charge scale of things around here, being a diplomat’s son and all.

Listening to Vincente talk about his lack of papers made her smile a little because he was in the same boat that she was. She had no real papers, not memory of where she was from prior to being caught by Shamus. They had something else in common it would seem. Placing a clawed hand on his upper harm, she looked up and smiled softly. “Don’t feel too bad about having no memory or papers Vincente, I’m in the same place as you are. I have no clue who my real parents are, how old I am, or where I was born. I have no papers to say who I am or where I’m from in Ireland. I understand that lost feeling very well.”
Regan was glad to hear that the school was doing everything it could to help Vincente, and she wondered if maybe they could help her too. Shrugging off the thought, Regan looked up at her tall friend and smiled as he mentioned seeing a few classrooms and then the gardens. “Ok that sounds good to me. I have never seen a real classroom before, this is kind of exciting!” She giggled and took a step forward to peek around Vincente’s shoulder. She wondered if there were students in the classrooms today, she hoped that they weren’t going to interrupt anyone’s learning in the process of their tour.

Regan nodded at Butterfly’s comment about her room, it was a decent sized room and she was content to have it. “I quite like it, it’s a nice place to live. Lots of friendly people and of course lots of mutants to see and get to know. I can’t complain really, before I was brought here I was living in the woods. It wasn’t bad, but it was rather lonely.”
They continued down the hall until they reached the office doors. Regan smiled at Butterfly and held the handle of the door in her furry had. “Are you able to turn back into your human form? They will most likely need you to sign papers if you are signing up for classes or to live here.”

Regan nodded at Jacob’s words. She was hoping her usual attire of tank tops and jeans was acceptable as she didn’t really have much else to wear right now and her corsets would definitely not be appropriate for work. “Ok, I can do that. I just have to remember to get directions from you before you leave.” She did respond quickly but that was because Regan was a people pleaser. She wanted to fit into the world somehow and this was possibly a stepping stone in that direction. It was a given she was nervous about it, this was the first time she was going to be among humans since she was a side show attraction back in Ireland. Hopefully this wouldn’t turn out to be the same sort of deal.
The clerk smiled at all of them and typed a bit on the computer to look up what was available for touring. She looked at the clock and then smiled as she spoke. “Well given the time of night I will say that the dorms are not a good place to be touring. The students will be either in bed or headed that way. You are free to show Jacob the kitchen, library, living room, anything on the grounds outside, and….” She tapped away on the computer some more before looking up. “That’s about it. Is there anything else I can help you with?”
Regan nodded and gave the woman a soft smile as she leaned in to whisper to her. “Do you know anything about a jet plane and an amazing mechanical room?”
The clerk’s face went slightly pale before she shook her head and responded. “Nope, sorry. You are free to tour the grounds. Is there anything else?”
Regan smiled and shook her head which caused her earrings to clink together. “Nope that’s everything, thanks for your time and help!”
Turning to the men she nodded and hoped they had heard what was allowed for touring. She looked at Mariusz first and then to Jacob. “So where do you gentlemen want to go first?”

Following diligently behind Vincente, she looked up at him when he started to speak to her about the school. She was quite impressed at the lengths the school went to help mutants do all of the things that they dreamt of doing in their lives. Being a mutant was such a difficult thing to have to deal with and yet these strangers opened up their home and provided everything that the mutants could ever need to succeed. Needless to say, Regan was a little awestruck. “Wow, that’s quite amazing.”
She wondered what she might learn here at the mansion and school. She had done the basics of elementary and high school at home with her “Father” and whizzed right through it all. She was a smart feline and she loved to learn. She never actually graduated though because she was smuggled into the country by her “Father”. Since she had no birth records or any sort of identification, she wasn’t able to enroll in the home schooling program, he just taught her along their guidelines. Before his passing though, he had identification papers made up for her so she could at least make her way in life somehow without him. Once again the memories made her miss him terribly.
Once again lost in thought, Regan realized it had been a while since anyone had said anything, so she asked another question. “Do you go to school here too Vincente? Or do you teach something perhaps?” She smiled and tilted her head to the side slightly as she eagerly awaited his answer.
