The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan heard Roxy’s playful barks outside and looked out. She smiled and looked back at Sara. “Roxy is sure having a good time.”
She nodded to Sara saying to wash up and then she could cut the meat up. Rolling up the sleeves on her green sweater, she headed back to the sink and started to scrub her furry hands and hummed a soft little Celtic tune. She felt rather comfortable around Sara, it was so nice to meet someone who had a similar mutation to her. She couldn’t help but wonder why she was so much smaller then Sara though. Contrary to popular beliefs, Tigers are actually the largest of the big cats, and here Regan looked like a munchkin next to her lion like friend.
Padding back over to the table, Regan put on the rubber gloves as best she could with her long claws. The gloves felt weird against her fur, but she supposed that was the best way to keep the blood off her white fur, and her white fur off of the meat. Standing at the ready for the first cut, Regan couldn’t help but wonder how many times Sara had done this, she sure seemed like an expert, so she asked to break the silence. “So Sara, how many deer have you processed so far and when did you learn how to?”

Now focused on the goal, Regan bounded to the greenhouse and skidded to a stop. Vicente was right behind her and she was rather impressed that he was able to keep up with her so well, even running on all fours. She was panting softly and giggled at his comments. “I was sizing up my competition. Next time I’ll play fair ok? Let’s call it a tie since I did get a head start.” She giggled and sat down in the snow and then flopped backwards. She was still panting and rather overheated under all that fur. The cold snow felt wonderful and she started to make a snow angel while she was down here. Oh life outdoors was wonderful, this was where she belonged. Right here, right now, with a great new friend.
Suddenly she remembered that Vicente was still here and he was only in a tight t-shirt. She stopped and looked up at him from her star position on the ground. “Oh you must be cold, we should probably head into the greenhouse and warm you up!” She sat up and started to pull the chunks of snow that had froze to her hair out. She didn’t want to track all that snow inside. Finally she stood up and started dusting the snow off of her clothing. Turning her back to him, she looked over her shoulder at Vicente and asked a familiar question. “Did I get it all?”

Regan couldn’t help but jump a little again as the girl yelped again. She sighed and kept her hand out. She wanted to make sure this girl was alright, once she was she’d leave her alone if she frightened her this much. Still smiling softly and kindly, Regan listened to the girl babble slightly non coherently, and tried to calm her with a few ‘Shhhhh’s.
Finally as she came around and she realized that Regan was actually talking to her, it all clicked together. “Yes I talk, and I walk upright, and I wear clothes.” She smiled and pointed to her dark green tank top. Regan was starting to feel pretty badly, she must have spooked this girl something awful for her to be in such a stammered state of thought.
Regan giggled softly and gave the girl a nod as she put it together that she was a mutant and not an actual cat. “Yes, I’m a mutant too. My name’s Regan, what’s yours?” The girl finally took her hand and she helped her up out of the pile of sharp and jagged glass and pottery. Regan waved her hand and shook her head at the girl’s apology. “Don’t worry about it, I tend to scare the heck out of everyone when they first meet me. I'm used to it.” She tried to play it off as nothing, but deep down it always hurt her a little.
Looking down at the girl’s leg, Regan nudged her head towards the large work table in the back. “I have a first aid kit back there, if you’d like I’ll clean your wound and bandage you up so you don’t get an infection.”

Finally spotting Sara in the large garage, Regan padded over to her slowly. She held her clawed hands folded in front of her as she came up to her and stopped a few feet away. The stag didn’t look quite as grizzly now hanging in the garage as it did when it was laying in the bloodied snow. It was still torn up from her massive saber fangs, but it was a little more tolerable like this. “Hey Sara.” she said softly and gave the larger feline a soft smile. She nodded at the other part of her statement and smiled some more. “I found a lot more then I needed to, but that’s alright.”
Looking at all the things that Sara had set up, Regan glanced around and wondered if she should be doing something instead of just standing around like a lump on a log. Piping up to her thoughts, she finally said, “Is there anything I can be doing to help you?” She wasn’t quite sure what to do as she had never done this before, but given that Sara was kind enough to be doing this for her, it was the least she could do to lend a hand in some way, shape, or form.
Regan jumped as the girl yelled out about her. Her emerald eyes grew sad as she was clearly hurt by the comment. It didn’t last long though as she watched the girl lose her footing and start to fall over. She ran over and reached out a clawed hand but it was already too late. She was down and worse off she had fallen right by the pile of broken shards slicing her leg. The smell of blood made the saber tooth press on her mind, but she quickly shoved it back and walked over to the injured girl.
Extending her clawed hand out to her, she smiled softly. “Are you alright? Here let me help you up out of that dangerous mess.” She looked as non threatening as she could possibly get. She would get out the first aid kit and make sure the girl was alright once she had helped her out of the mess of glass and pottery on the floor. Last thing Regan needed was another student getting seriously injured on her watch, even though the last one wasn’t her fault after all, she still felt awful about it. “Come on now, I won’t bite.”
The saber tooth was enjoying the little game she was playing with her mouse. Her emerald eyes watched her mouse enter the maze and vanish in the hedges, but that was fine, she follow the scent of her blood and catch her when the time was right, once this game was no longer any fun of course.
Coming to the entrance of the maze, Regan sniffed at the droplets of blood in the snow. Licking the bloody snow off her pink nose, she looked up and slowly crept around the first corner. Her feline ears flicked forward as she heard a muffled cry. The mouse wasn’t far away. Another few steps and she heard a thump. The mouse was down.
Slowly she crept around the last corner where she found a pool of blood and a shard of pottery. She sniffed at it. It was part of her mouse. Looking a few feet ahead she spotted the tiny form laying in the snow face down. Cautiously creeping forward, Regan brought her nose to the bloodied side of the tiny body and sniffed it. It was her mouse. The chase was over.
With a quick swipe of her clawed hand Regan rolled the tiny body over so it was face up. Climbing over it, she brought her face down to her mouse’s, the warm breath from her nose melted the snow that clung to the tiny face as she sniffed her a few more times. Once the face was defrosted, she backed up frantically and roared. This was a child!
With another pained roar, Regan’s clawed hands clasped her face. Her body started to pop and crack as it reshaped itself, shrinking her down back to her normal size. Her saber fangs retracted and she finally had her wits about her once again. Uncovering her eyes to look at the grizzly scene, she gasped. “Oh Lord! What have I done!”
Without another thought, she grabbed the shard of pottery and scooped up the child in her arms. She held her close to her own body for warmth and started running as fast as she could back to the mansion. She needed to get her inside the warm mansion and stop the bleeding as fast as she could until they could get her to a hospital. She held one of her clawed hands tightly on the bloody patch of the child’s coat to try and stop the bleeding.
Regan smiled softly at Amber’s words, she understood why Regan chose to be good to people, just like Regan understood why Amber had her views. Sure they were slightly different as Regan didn’t have a pack, but the two understood each other and that was what mattered. Once her “Father” had passed away, she was alone. Sure she had made a few friends at the mansion, but there was no one there so far that gave her a bond like that, and for a moment her heart panged with a sense of loss she had never really felt before. She really was alone in the end. That thought made Amber’s earlier words stick a little stronger in her head, maybe being good all of the time wasn’t really getting her anywhere after all. She would have to mull over that later though., right now she just wanted to go home and cry, Tses had really hit a soft spot and she was feeling rather broken inside.
As she was walking away, a few tears had already started to fall from Regan’s eyes. It was hard enough having the humans calling her names and making her feel bad about being what she was, but now one of her own kind was beating her down and berating her too? How could someone be so damn cruel?
Her train of thought was quickly interrupted by a rush of air by her tail, then another by her shoulder and then a third by her ear. The last one made Regan roar out in pain as the change of air pressure from the explosion made her ear drum pop like she had just been assending in a plane, only a million times faster. She stopped and clasped a clawed hand over her ear and let out a few more muffled roars and growls. She shook her head a few times to try and make the ringing in her ear stop, but it didn’t really work. Glancing back over her shoulder at the blond witch sitting on the ground made Regan’s pink feline nose flare. The cold winter air made the warm breath that came out of it look like smoke.
That was it! This girl needed a serious lesson and the saber tooth was only too happy to egg Regan on in the matter. The adrenalin was pumping through her veins and there was nothing stopping her now. Regan let out a blood curdling roar as she dropped to all fours and sprinted the short distance towards Tses. As she came to the final few steps, she skidded to a stop and with a swift and fluid movement, she grabbed Tses by the throat, pulled her to her feet, and slammed her against the tree behind her.
Regan brought her snarling face right up to Tses’s, her emerald eyes were almost black as her pupils dilated to their full size. She kept a firm grip on Tses’s throat, not enough to choke her, but enough to keep her attention. Her sharp claws pressed against the tender skin of her neck, ever warning that she could break the skin and rip her throat out in a second. With bared fangs and angry eyes staring right into Tses’s, she finally spoke to her. “You talk about demons but you have no idea what one really is! You want to see my demons? You want to see a monster Tses? I’ll show you a monster, but you won’t get to remember it because you’ll be leaving here as a pile of body parts in a shopping bag when my monster is done with you!” Teetering on the edge of breaking lose, the saber tooth more then happily lent Regan a little help in making her point by ever so slowly letting her saber fangs slide down out from under her upper lip to their full length. "Embrace this!"
The woman at the desk smiled and gave a little nod. “I sure can help you with that. First off I’ll need your age and what type of classes your are looking to take. This way I can find out if you meet the criteria for the course. As for looking to live here, all mutants of all ages are welcome to stay here at the mansion at any time for any length of time. If you are under the adult age you will be paired with a room mate, if over you can have a private room, unless you find someone who you would want to share with, that can be arranged as well.” She smiled at Butterfly and waited to see if that helped answer some of her questions.
Regan smiled and stepped a little closer to Butterfly to give her some more support. She wanted to make her feel comfortable here, just like Vincente had done for her. This place was safe and she wanted Butterfly to know that as well.
Regan stumbled slightly at his comment as he ran past her. That sure caught her off guard! She wasn’t sure what to make of it, but he was now past her and slightly ahead. She would think about the ‘Beautiful’ comment later, right now she had a race to win, or at least tie!
Realizing that he was a lot faster than she had originally thought, Regan launched herself forward so that she was now running on all fours and at her full strength. Her long tail whipped around behind her keeping her balance as she was able to take much longer strides running like this. She quickly caught up to Vincente with the power of all four of her limbs, her front claws digging into the cold snow as she went. This was exhilarating!
She started to giggle as she started to edge past him a little. She just hoped that he didn’t end up tripping over her while she was down on the ground until she had gotten enough distance in front of him.
They were getting closer and closer to the greenhouse now, she wondered which of them would win the race, but really she was happy just to have someone to play with. Sure she was an adult, but she really had the heart of a kitten. She loved to run and play, work out and wrestle, and generally have as much physical fun as she could cram in before a well earned cat nap, but few people could keep up with her. Vincente on the other hand seemed to match her energy levels quite well, and she was happy to have found a willing playmate to play with her for a while. She was so happy that she even thought about maybe letting him win this time around.
Regan gave Joe a pleasant smile as he informed her of the price list behind the computer’s monitor. “Oh thanks, Jacob forgot to mention that to me.” The pleasant smile faded quickly as she took the paper and took in the eerie smile that crossed Joe’s lips. It sent a chill up her spine and she couldn’t help but shiver which in turn made her fur stand on end a little. She curled her tail around herself so she could grab the end of it in her clawed hand like a security blanket. As she turned and headed back to the front desk, she made a mental note not to deal with Joe unless everyone else was busy. He gave her the creeps.
As Regan came back through the door to the desk, she smiled pleasantly at the mother and her child, giving them a little wave with her clawed fingers before settling in her seat to deal with those darn sticky notes again. She heard the little girl sneeze and a popping sound, and as she looked up to say ‘Bless You’, she saw the girl was gone. Regan just about jumped out of her fur as the girl was suddenly behind her, it startled her more then anything. Before she could say a word the mother had rushed behind the desk and swept the girl off to the couch to console her. As Regan pushed back her chair to get a better view of the girl to see if she was alright, she noticed the book laying on the floor and figured she’d better return it. She picked it up and slowly headed over to the couches.
Standing at a distance, she waited until the mother looked up at her. She gave her a soft smile and handed her the book. “She dropped this back there. Is she alright?” Regan asked in a soft but concerned voice. She knew the girl was a mutant, it was obvious after what had happened. She knew the mother was concerned and confused and Regan really wanted to help. Standing with the end of her tail clutched between her paw like hands, she looked at the mother and in a soft whispered tone asked. “Could I try talking to her? I kind of know what she is going through. Maybe I can help calm her down?”

Regan watched Tses do a bunch of unnecessary acrobatics and she couldn’t help but think that this girl was just a bratty show off. She was irritating and rather a bully, which Regan didn’t like at all. She had been bullied enough by the humans, she didn’t need it from other mutants as well just because she chose to be nice to people, unless she was provoked otherwise and Tses was provoking her!
Regan’s emerald eyes glared at the girl as she continued to mock her. What the hell was her issue? This was absolutely ridiculous and absurd! She had never met someone so rude in her life. Deciding to be the bigger person in this situation, Regan decided to ignore Tses and focus her attentions on Amber for the time being. She didn’t enjoy this sudden shift of aggression and wasn’t going to play this little game even though she did kind of start it unintentionally.
Regan’s eyes caught Amber’s and she listened intently as she spoke, she shrugged her shoulders slightly and looked down at the floor before looking back up and responding. “It might not get me anywhere high up in the world Amber, but you know what it gets me? The satisfaction that I’m better then them. That I can rise above whatever they throw at me and still be a nice person in the end. I’m not going to let people break me down and change who I am and who I want to be. That just makes them win.”
Hearing Tses pipe up again, she turned to look at her, but her fanged mouth gapped open as Tses pretty much called her a monster. That was it! She wasn’t going to take this anymore. She had come out for a walk and some peace and quiet, not to be picked on and abused. Here Tses had made fun of her for being a good person and for living at the mansion, when in fact it just made her appreciate that place even more. Finally getting the courage to speak, Regan shook her head. “You know what? I don’t need to take this crap from you Tses. One day you are going to pick on the wrong person and you are going to regret it!” She turned to Amber and sighed “Look I’m sorry Amber, I don’t need this, maybe we can meet up sometime on our own and talk?” She posed it as a question but didn’t really give her time to answer before stuffing her clawed hands into the pockets of her hoodie and walking away. “Anyways, if you do, you know where you can find me.” She said over her shoulder as she started to head back to the mansion.

Regan wasn’t quite sure what to say. Butterfly was complimenting her in so many ways and Regan had never heard such words spoken to her before. She was blushing, but no one could see it under all that fur. “Awwww Thanks Butterfly. You are so nice! That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me!” Regan stood up a little straighter and felt a little more confidant in herself. Someone thought that she was prettier then humans and it made her feel all warm and fuzzy inside like her heart had been given a big hug.
Regan smiled and gave Butterfly a clawed thumb up as she turned to look back at her, she would go over and help her if she needed it, but for not she just stood by the door and was there for support.
The woman at the desk looked up at Butterfly and smiled warmly. “Hello there, I will sure try and help you, what are you looking for?”

Regan nodded to the mechanics as they came in, she gave them a meek “Good Morning.” as they came in and stopped to stare at her for a moment. It made her slightly uncomfortable and she shifted in her seat. She knew they weren’t trying to be rude, but she wasn’t exactly not noticeable. Even if she had looked like a normal tiger, they would have stopped to look, but being as vibrantly and oddly colored as she was, they tended to stop and look a little longer. Trying not to let it affect her work, she turned her attention back to the woman at her desk.
Getting ready to look up the woman’s name once she had got it, Regan’s emerald eyes went wide as the little girl asked if she had a tail. The mother quickly made her apologize and once she did she went and sulked on the couch. Looking back at the mother, she apologized as well. Regan waved her clawed hand at the woman and smiled softly. “It’s quite alright, she’s just curious and I don’t suppose I blame her. Being a cat and all I have the curious bug myself.” She gave a little chuckle and looked up the woman’s name in the database and pulled up the car’s information. She printed it off and rummaged around for a pen. Once she had found one, she wrote “Oil Change” on the order and labeled the top of the page with a large ‘#1’. She then folded up a fresh sticky note and wrote the same ‘#1’ on it and poked a hole into the paper before looping a rubber band in it. She then looked at Samantha and smiled. “If I could just get your keys, I will get this order to the boys in the back and you can have a seat.” Regan took the keys and then looped the other end of the elastic band through the key ring making a little tag.
Grabbing the paper and the keys, Regan got up and turned so her back was facing the window. She raised her long stripped tail up as high as she could and gave it a little flick before looking over her shoulder and giving Miranda a little wink. She smiled and put it back down as she walked into the back of the shop.
The pungent smell of grease and dirt filled her sensitive feline nostrils. Sometimes enhanced senses really sucked. Making a face she wiggled her nose and looked around for one of the mechanics that were just setting up their tool boxes and not looking too busy. She padded over to the first one she could find and handed him the car info and the keys. “When you are finished, could you please write the price she is to be charged on the paper and bring it back to me along with the keys?”

Regan continues to organize all of the plants, tossing all the dead ones into one pile, carefully placing the damaged ones that would make it, in another, and the ones that were fine in a third. Looking up she was glad to see that someone on the grounds had put plastic over the windows that were busted out. Thankfully that meant that if she rested the door against the doorframe, she could keep in the heat and leave the plants here instead of trying to cram them all into her room.
As she worked, she heard the footsteps of someone coming into the greenhouse. She peeked up over the plants and say a strawberry blond female come into the greenhouse. She had to giggle slightly as she looked a little like a marshmallow in her white puffy coat. Regan smiled softly and emerged from behind the plants. “Hello there, can I help you?” she said in her soft Irish tones. She felt quite bad for the state of greenhouse at the moment, but really this all wouldn’t of happened if it weren’t for Kaitlyn sneaking in here. “Watch your step, there is still broken glass and pottery on the floor there.” She pointed to the pile on the floor just in front of the female, last thing she wanted was to get someone else hurt.
