The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Regan liked the thought of seeing the garden, from what Vincente had said it sounded quite wonderful, but it also sounded like they were in need of someone to take care of it once again. Maybe she could do it? It would be nice to get any excuse to be outside and among plants, and away from people. She was not overly fond of being around others, just like real tigers, she preferred solitude most of the time, but there were some people that her human side attached to and wanted to be near. Being two different creatures could be very draining sometimes, and very annoying.
She nodded softly at Vincente’s reassurance and looked up at him when he squeezed her shoulder. She was just going to have to trust him, which was not something that was easy to do at all with her past history. She followed him out into the hallway, still holding the end of her long tail in her clawed hands, as they headed towards the classrooms. She wondered what they taught here at the mansion and finally broke the silence to ask in a small voice. “So what do they teach here at the mansion? I never went to a school, “Father” home schooled me for my own protection. At least that’s what he said, though I think it was to protect all the other children from me.” She sighed and looked down, watching Vincente’s feet so that she wouldn’t lose him if he turned a corner. She really did hate what she was and she would give anything to look like a normal human being, and yet at the same time, she just wanted to be accepted for what she was.

Regan brought her face closer to the child’s and growled. She felt a slight wave run over her fur and tilted her head to the side curiously. The child crunched her face up tightly and as Regan leaned in to sniff her she was blown back into the air. She twisted her body in the air and with the help of her tail she managed to land on her hands and feet. She was slightly disoriented and it took her a few minutes to regain her bearings. The scent of her prey’s blood filled her pink feline nose and her attention snapped back into the direction of her prey. She must have done some damage as the little form was slowing down, an excellent time to play with it.
She waited and let her prey get closer to the maze. She could easily track her by the smell of her blood dripping from her wound. She walked towards her, still on all fours, and let out a low growl before a booming roar. She wanted her prey to know she was coming.
Restoring her energy from the last mad dash across the field, Regan decided to just slowly jog after her. There was no way that the little child was going to be able to hide from her, or out run her, even at a slower pace, so there was no use in exerting herself by using up her sprinting energy. So she just caught up to her prey and jogged at a mild pace behind her, letting her have a small amount of hope… for now anyways.

Regan nodded as she listened to Tses explain the rest of her powers to the pair and then gasped at her little demonstration. “That is really neat and quite beautiful Tses. You remind me of a firefly when you glow like that.” Regan smiled softly and watched the green light fade away. It was a very neat power, and the fact that she could then use it as a weapon as well just made it that much more amazing in her eyes. “That is a nice power to have, you got lucky!” She said with enthusiasm, because in Regan’s eyes, looking human and having useful powers that could be easily hidden was a blessing.
Not really sure what to say about Tses question as to what else the girls could do, Regan looked at Amber to see if she would go first. She watched the dinosaur mutant nod her head and then put up a clawed digit in what looked like a “one second” gesture. Regan nodded and shuffled her feet in the snow as they waited for her to come back. She flicked her tail around a bit as she felt the tension to answer the questing building, but thankfully Amber had come back dressed and human like.
Relaxing she looked at Amber and smiled “You are beautiful Amber.” She said with a soft sigh. Here the dinosaur mutant was a beautiful girl. Sure she had black eyes and pale skin, but that was something that could be adapted to go out in public. Regan couldn’t do anything to hide herself. She had to cram her tail into a pant leg and even then it would stick out the bottom because it was so long. Her ears got squashed under hats and her feline muzzle was noticeable even under a scarf. Not to mention the layers of clothes and gloves needed to cover her fur and claws made her overheat badly. There was just no way for her to be amongst humans and it was rather disheartening.
She shrugged her shoulders a little and decided to just say a little about her mutation and not bring up the inner beast. “Well I can run fast like a tiger and for long distances, I have enhanced sight, hearing, sense of smell, and agility just like a cat. I’m stronger then most humans and I heal slightly faster as well.” She shrugged and looked at the ground where she was still shuffling her feet in the snow. “Well and I got the claws, fangs, and fur as you can see obviously.” There was no way that she was going to reveal the saber tooth to them, not right now anyways. She didn't think she looked like she was hiding anything, but maybe to others she did look like she was hiding something. Only time would tell.

Regan watched as Butterfly took flight and smiled, it seemed that she was feeling a little more comfortable here to not remain so hidden on Regan’s shoulder. Regan lead the way down the hallway and started to answer Butterfly’s question. “Well I believe that the students are all paired up in the student dorms. So each student that lives here gets a room mate. I have not seen the student rooms but mine is quite nice. I have a private room as I am an adult, at least I think I am.” Regan paused for a moment. She heated not knowing how old she was, but there wasn’t anything that she could really do about it so she just accepted being an adult in the eyes of everyone else. “My room has a nice double bed, a large dresser, a night stand on each side of the bed, a large chair by the window for reading, though I usually just sit in the bay window or wherever the sun is coming in, and a large closet.”
Turning the corner of the long hallways, Regan made sure that Butterfly was still with her. She pointed to the other end of the long hallway and smiled at Butterfly. “There’s the office. How do you like the tour so far?”

Regan couldn’t help but smiled a fanged grin at Jacob’s compliment, he thought that she would brighten up the place? That was one of the nicest things that anyone had ever said to her. She stopped at the office door and smiled up at Jacob. “Why thank you. I guess I should ask when do I start and what time should I be there? Oh and the dress code of course?” She was a little worried about it, but she would give it a shot. She would have to get directions to the shop, and find some woods that connected to the shop so she could run under the cover of the trees to avoid being out in the public view.
She smiled at Mariusz as he opened the door for the pair of them and gave him a nod in thanks. She gave Jacob a smile and brushed some of the vibrant red strands of hair out of her face as he let her enter the office first. She approached the desk clerk and smiled as she had been up at the office a lot lately. “Hi there, I was wondering if you could tell us what we can show our new friend Jacob here at the mansion? He is visiting and would like a tour of the facility, is that alright?”

Regan gave Vincenta a soft smile, he had faith in her cooking abilities it would seem and that made her quite happy. She really was a decent cook though. She had spent a lot of time in the kitchen with the cooks when she lived with her “Father”. They would let her watch when she was smaller, but as she grew up they let her help and taught her how to cook a wide variety of meals, they just never told her “Father” because she wasn’t supposed to be in the kitchen, but she was always hungry so she was always in there.
Now that everything was tidy and all evidence of their snack was eliminated from the scene of the cinnamon bun disappearance, they could go do some more touring around. It just so happen that Vincente said he was going to show her a few more places still. She wasn’t too sure about the classrooms as she was most likely too old to be taking any classes here, but it would be good to see them anyways. At the mention of the garden, Regan’s ears perked right up and she looked at Vincente with wide eyes. “They have a garden here? Oh that sounds like a place I would spend a lot of time at. I love plants!”
At the mention of getting signed up at the school, Regan looked down at the floor and curled her tail up so she could hold it close to her chest like a safety blanket. She still wasn’t sure about signing up to stay in the mansion just yet. “Ummm, yeah ok, that would be nice. I wouldn’t want to have a bad room.” She shuffled her feet and kept her gaze on the floor, unable to look at him right now.
Stepping over the broken pottery and glass that was still scattered on the floor, Regan watched the small form look over her shoulder and quickly slam the door behind her. Regan snorted and shook her head, her prey was escaping. Without a second thought the large saber toothed mutant careened towards the door and slammed into it, knocking it right off it’s hinges and sending it flying into the front yard of the mansion grounds. Tumbling out of the door, Regan regained her footing. She sniffed the air and looked for her prey. She picked up the scent of the blood dripping from her wound and looked in that direction. Her feline vision was impeccable in the dark and she spotted the tiny form trying to run towards the hedge maze.
Stepping into the cold snow, Regan flexed her claws to ensure a good grip. Unfortunately her combat boots were still on her feet so she had less control of her back end. Deciding the time was right, Regan bolted across the field towards her tiny target. Her long tail whipped around behind, keeping her balance her as she ran at blinding speeds. It wasn’t long before Regan was right behind the small child, and with a swipe of her clawed hand under the child’s feet, she tripped her up and watched her roll in the snow.
Skidding to a stop just a few feet away, Regan’s eyes darted as she watched the child roll and assessed when was the right time to pounce. As the child came to her last few rolls in front of Regan, she pounced and pinned the child down with one of her clawed hands across her chest.
Regan watched Tses and Amber in turn. She loved how even as an animal she was able to understand everything that was going on and being said. How she wished she could do that with the saber tooth instead of sitting in the background and wondering what was going on. Hearing muffled speech and sitting back like she was watching a foreign movie with no subtitles, it was so frustrating! What she would give to be able to be of her own mind and still have the full power of the saber tooth on her side. But alas they were so different and really they were two different creatures. She would have to just accept her fate and hope one day to find a way to communicate with her other half.
She watched Tses look up at the sky and she looked up too. Puzzled she looked back at Tses and noticed a little sparkle on her neck. Stepping closer to get a better look she saw the little moon pendant and like the smart and clever cat that she was made one connection. “The moon! It has something to do with the moon!” She said excitedly as she pointed up at the sky and bounced a little.
Thinking more about the second half made her scratch her head though. She looked at Amber to see if she had any clue, but the dinosaur looked about as puzzled as she did. How does one create but not create? She wasn’t quite sure how that worked so she shrugged her shoulders at Tses and shook her head with a quirked brow. “I’m stumped at the second part, you got me there.” She quite admired Tses for being able to play this little game with them. Non visible mutants were never easy to spot what they could do, it was always a guessing game. It was actually quite fun to play ‘guess the power’. Regan wished her mutation and power possibilities weren’t so in your face obvious, but then again she still did have part of it a secrete now didn’t she?
Regan giggled at Butterfly’s reaction to the kitchen, it was a very impressive place really since it fed an army of mutants, most of then children and teenagers. The place was always stocked with food, it never seemed to really ever empty even with all of the people eating here. “I don’t believe it is ever closed. Some mutants, including myself, have pretty crazy appetites and eat a lot or at all hours of the day so it has to stay open for us food fiends.” She giggled and headed towards the door to head back into the hallway. Noting Butterfly's comment about meeting other mutants besides insect types, Regan giggled, "Well you have come to the right place to meet mutants of all kinds, I think we have a bit of everything here!"
“Well how about I take you to the admitting desk so you can see about registering for classes and then we can keep touring after that? I’ll show you the dorms along the way there.” Regan headed back out to the large foyer and towards the stairs where she headed up to the second floor. When they got to the top of the stairs she pointed out the boys and girls dorm wings and headed down the first hall towards the office. She waved at a group of younger mutant children that ran past them, but they were too busy laughing and giggling among themselves to notice.
Hearing Jacob’s offer to work at his shop made Regan stumble a step, but she caught herself and kept walking as if nothing had happened. He wanted her to help out in his shop and as the desk clerk up front? She wasn’t quite sure what to say. Sure she was knew her way around a computer and she was a pretty organized feline, but what would the costumers think of a tiger at the front desk? Finally gaining some courage she responded, “I suppose I could try to help out at your shop if you need it. I just don’t want to scare off potential business because you have a visible mutant, a particularly rather frightening one at that, running your front desk.” She wasn’t turning down the offer, a second job would be nice seeing as it was winter and she didn’t have much to do gardening wise right now. She just didn’t want to run Jacob’s business into the ground because of how she looked.
Once again she listened to the men talk about combat and chess, flicking her feline ears back to listen as they walked. The distance to the office was growing ever shorter as they were walking the quicker pace, but that was fine with her, it just meant they got to the desk faster to find out what they could actually show Jacob, and what they couldn’t show him. She doubted that if there were a jet and an amazing mechanical room in the mansion that they would be allowed to see it, let alone show it to someone who just walked in off the street, but she was sure they could show Jacob some of the other nice places in the mansion to give him at least a decent tour.

Stretching her arms over her head and with a fanged yawn, Regan waved goodnight to Serena as she left. Being exhausted herself, Regan padded up the stairs and headed to her own room as well. She was glad she had decided to take a walk. She was impressed that she was able to keep the reins on the saber tooth for once and she made another new friend. Regan was pretty please with herself.
Once in her room, Regan untied her boots and kicked them off by the door. Being a cat, she left the lights off because she could see just fine in the dark. She pulled off her ruined wool sweater and tossed it in the trash before removing her jeans and bra. She left on her tank top and panties and just crawled into bed. She was too tired to deal with anything else and she had a private room. Snuggling under the covers, Regan sighed happily and hoped she would get to spend some more time with her new friend, she was such a sweet girl. Closing her eyes, she curled up into a tight little ball, curling her long tail around her body and drifted off to sleep with a soft purr rumbling in her throat.

Regan smiled softly as Clyde gave her a little apology for getting irritated with her concerns and then said he would keep the mansion visit in mind. She was glad that they could at least leave company on good terms. All may not have been forgiven, but they were both civil and content, which is more then Regan could have asked for.
As Clyde thanked her for leading him out she smiled and gave him a little nod of her head. “It was my pleasure Clyde. Take care.” She held the branches up so that he could get out of the thick brush and gave him a little wave. There was a pang of sadness in her heart and the saber tooth was eagerly pressing on her mind, but this time it was different. She didn’t feel angry or primed to hunt, there was almost a sense of loss to it, but why? Shrugging it off, Regan watched Clyde until he disappeared into the crowd of people and then turned to run back to the mansion, it was late and she was exhausted from everything that had happened. Getting down on all fours, Regan took one last look over her shoulder and sighed before dashing into the woods.

Regan smiled softly and took Vincente’s plate from him and padded over to the sink to wash it up and place it in the rack with her own. She had really enjoyed their snack break and was excited to see what else he would show her in the mansion. So far the experience had been wonderful and she was really enjoying Vincente’s company, he was a wonderful tour guide.
Turning to face her large friend, Regan smiled widely as he agreed that tomorrow would be a good day to make dinner together. “Oh wonderful! I’m so excited, I really hope you like my cooking.” She bounced a little once again and it made her hoop earrings clink against her little studs a few times. She was really starting to feel more comfortable around the mansion, especially with a nice new friend like Vincente.
Leaning against the counter in a similar fashion as Vincente, Regan gave him a little giggle. “So where should we visit next? Do you have any other favorite places in the mansion?” She said with a small tilt of her head. She was really enjoying this tour and was eager to see more as long as it wasn’t taking up too much of Vincente’s time. She would understand if he had other things to do or places he needed to be.

Regan made her way down the hall towards the kitchen; the foyer they just left was filled with plush couches and large windows. The walls of the hallway had the occasional piece of art hanging on them as they passed them by. “I’ve been here for a few weeks so far. It’s a pretty nice place really.”
Turning into the doorway to the kitchen, Regan smiled. She loved the kitchen, it was warm and welcoming. There was a large table and chairs, an overly large fridge, and there were pots and pans hanging from a rack over the stove, as well as hanging baskets filled with fruits. “This is the kitchen.” Regan said and then thought about Butterfly’s statement about other mutants like her. “I have yet to meet anyone else that can turn into any sort of insect, but there might be some. If I ever meet one I’ll make sure to send them your way!” Regan smiled and placed the basket of vegetables on the counter by the stove. “There that chore is done. Where would you like to go next?” She asked Butterfly with a smile.
Once inside the doors, Regan made sure that she didn’t lose Butterfly off her shoulder on the dash inside. Happy to still see her there she smiled. “I’m sure there are quite a few classes you could sign up for. I don’t think you have to pay for them, but I could be wrong. I know those that live at the mansion don’t pay for classes, so I doubt that any of the mutants that come here have to either.”
“Do you mind if we stop by the kitchen first real quick? I need to drop off the vegetables, and then I can show you around and take you to the admitting office.” Regan’s tail curled up at the end to keep from dragging on the floor as she headed for the hallway that lead to the mansion’s kitchen.
