The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Thoughts of returning to the mansion almost always filled her head. She wanted to go back, but she was afraid she wouldn’t be accepted after the things she had done after she had left there. Yet still, she missed her friends and the teachers she had gotten to know. The mansion was a comfortable and safe place. The real world was much colder and more dangerous. Sadly, she had helped it become more dangerous.
It took a great deal of courage for her, but she managed to summon the strength to return to the place she once called home.
As usual there were less people roaming around late at night as the blonde-haired girl entered the mansion. She walked the halls curiously wondering if anything had changed during her absence. She also wondered if anyone would notice her as she was a creature of the night and normally didn’t see many people anyway.

Seems my old pics stopped working. That's ok though since Victoria is older and a little more mature. Could I please get some help with a new avi and maybe a sig or two? I'm thinking of using Luna Freed Queen from Bloody Rondo Anime. She has the long blonde hair and red eyes and more curves than Mina Tepes from Dance At The Vampire Bund.

With her attention moving around from person to person, Victoria did her best to make everyone feel welcome in the store. Most responded kindly though a few just passed her by in order to get to the reason they had come to the store in the first place. All of which were fine with the girl because it was all about music.
She had momentarily lost track of the blue haired girl until she approached with a greeting. Changing to just playing a tune without words made it easier to talk to people. “Hello! How are you? Do you like music also?”

Victoria loved music and to see people who shared her passion was a delight indeed. So much so that she had introduced Ned to her parents through emails and phone calls. It was more specifically directed to her mother since she also a music store. Ned and Marcela (Victoria’s mom) bartered each other for instruments, pieces for instruments and of course music. Things had become better for Ned since he’d met Victoria, and she was all too happy to help him.
One night the store wasn’t quite as full of people, but there were still plenty of them to keep Ned busy. Asking questions about different instruments, some were looking for new sheet music and others were paying little tunes of their own. The whole sight made Victoria smile.
Grabbing a small stool and an acoustic guitar the girl with the golden hair began to sing various songs. Some she sang with her mother and others were her own variation of more common classic rock songs that she enjoyed. As people walked by her she would give them a friendly nod. She even saw a girl with pretty blue hair and a boy with wings and, a tail? Now that was cool! Victoria gave the blue haired girl a friendly smile and nod.

When the bat scurried off the piano top it occurred to Victoria that perhaps it had other things to do. After all, the night doesn’t last forever.
Oh but if it did….her thoughts trailed off into imagining a world of eternal night. She could be up and about at the same time most other people would be. She could meet more people and make more friends. The fun they all could have would be amazing. If only…
Her thoughts were broken up when a boy started speaking. She looked to see who it was as she didn’t recognize the voice. To her surprise it was a boy in what could be called his pajama’s, but aren’t those boxers? It’s a boy in his underwear! Victoria immediately averted her eyes in embarrassment and blocked out the boy’s lower half with her right hand.
“Where’d you come from? I didn’t see you earlier. Were you listening to me? Why don’t you have pants on?”
Watching the little creature was actually a bit fun. The bat seemed to accept being held and then pointed in the direction of the piano. “You were in the piano? Oh my! I’m sorry if I scared you. I just wanted to play some tunes because I was bored and missed playing music.”
Victoria gave another couple gentle fingertip brushes over the bats head before setting it down on the top of the piano. “I’m not really sure where you came from little bat, but I’d be happy to play you some songs. Hopefully you’ll like them and maybe I’ll make up one for you.”
With a sweet smile on her face Victoria began playing more songs on the piano. Some were strictly musical while a few others she sang to. Then she tried making a little song for the little bat. It came out a little awkward but ended up still being sweet and cute. “How was that nahkhiir? Did you like it?”

All was well in the living room as the musical notes from both the piano and Victoria’s voice filled the large area. She played songs her mother had taught her as well as making up her own slight variations. Adding new key strokes to give a new dimension of sound, Victoria made up some of her own words for new songs that resulted in a few giggles from time-to-time. She loved music whether it was listening to it or making her own, and if anyone was to happen to enjoy it as well then all the better.
Now she was smiling.
That is until something touched her leg. Eyebrows furled while the girl leaned over the side of the chair to see what had touched her and if it was still there.
To her surprise the unknown thing that touched her was still there. Amazingly there on the floor was a little brown bat. “Awww poor little nahkhiir!” Victoria carefully climbed out of the chair making sure it didn’t move and knelt down next to it. She examined the bat. This was the first time she had seen one this close and in person before. The little creature was cute with its little body and soft looking fur. It appeared to be stuck in the carpet though. “Hold on little one.” Carefully she cupped her left hand and placed it gently over the bat then with her right hand she tried to help get the bat’s claw free from the carpet threads.
It took just a few moments but the bat wiggled enough to free itself with Victoria’s help. She carefully held the bat cupped in her hands and sat up while looking the creature over to make sure it was ok. Lightly stroking the tip of her fingers over the bats head and back. “What are you doing in here? Did you get lost, or maybe you came in through an open window?” She pondered for a moment that it might be one of the students who had turned into the animal. Maybe that’s why she was talking to it?
