Mutations
Mutation description: Hematophagy accelerated physiology. In other words, Victoria’s body is driven by the feeding of blood. Her physiology has developed into an accelerated state so that it uses the blood she takes in much like others would with normal food. This has allowed her body to become drastically tougher than any normal 16 year old girl.
Strengths: By processing the blood she feeds on and using the nutrients and proteins provided, Victoria’s body has reinforced itself making her extremely tough. Victoria’s body is invulnerable to physical harm like being hit with a lead pipe, stabbed with a knife or even struck by a car. With her unique physiology, she’s also a bit stronger than a normal girl her age. She has the strength equal to an average adult male.
Weaknesses: Absolutely NO direct sunlight as this causes a chemical reaction with her body and she literally starts to burn. She will heal, but it takes time like a normal person scraping their leg or something. She still feels pain from any impacts she receives and a red mark will appear on her skin but none of her bones ever break and no organs ever burst. Being burned by fire or chemicals still affects her like anyone else as well as being suffocated or drown. She HAS to feed on blood to sustain herself a minimum of every two days. If she doesn’t she will start to appear sickly and weak and after 4 days she will go into a coma like state until fresh blood is introduced into her system at which point she will recover back to her normal self within a day or two depending how long she’s in the coma. She isn’t immortal nor can she turn anyone into a creature like herself.

History of Your Character:
Victoria Tepes was born in Bucharest, Romania April 16th, 2000 to Artur and Marcela Tepes. The parents were proud of their beautiful daughter, but when Victoria managed to open her red eyes they had a sinking feeling. Unfortunately, Artur’s family bloodline had what many viewed as a curse. While it didn’t show up in everyone from Artur’s family they still carried the gene and passed it down from generation to generation. The curse had skipped Artur and his father, but now it had reemerged in poor little Victoria.
Artur had worked his way up to Vice President of an information technology service. Victoria’s mother Marcela was an owner of a music studio where she would not only perform music on her own, but she also helped other musicians with their works. Artur met Marcela at a café where the two enjoyed conversation and shared pastries over espresso. They married after dating together for 4 years and had Victoria 2 years after that.
Victoria’s parents did everything to make their baby girl seem normal to everyone. They passed off her red eyes as a miracle of nature, but Artur’s family knew what was really going on as Victoria was never seen during daylight hours. They tried talking to Artur about putting his daughter up for adoption. This did not sit well with Artur as he loved his daughter deeply and yet his heart was heavy with burden. Marcela was adamant regarding her husband’s family’s suggestions. She wasn’t giving up her daughter like that and no one could change her mind.
Deciding to move from Romania to Tallinn, Estonia Victoria’s parents thought this would be good for all of them. No one there would know of Artur’s family curse and they could start fresh new lives. Artur was able to get a high level job with a new IT company, and Marcela found another lady wanting to open a music studio and they formed a partnership. Artur worked during the day while Marcela would work nights at the studio. This way they could watch over and care for their daughter themselves just in case the curse was more than red eyes and extreme sensitivity to sun.
12 years past and things were going very well for the family. They had a comfortable home and Victoria was growing up to be a beautiful and sweet girl. Marcela started taking Victoria with her to the studio at night when the girl turned 4. She taught Victoria Romanian, Estonian and English languages as well as grade school lessons so she wasn’t behind other kids her age. Victoria also learned about different musical instruments as well as how to sing. Marcela was happy to hear her daughter’s wonderful voice as they would have singing sessions for hours.
One night Marcela and Victoria were singing when the girl started clinching her stomach. “Are you ok sweetheart?” asked Marcela as she moved to her daughter’s side. “Yeah, I think so. I just don’t feel good all of a sudden. Do you mind if I go lay down for a while mommy?” “Find yourself some place comfortable and relax dear.”
Thinking it might be best to go to the back and lay in one of the sound booths for the peace and quiet Victoria laid on her side clinching her stomach tightly. Pain began to spread through her body like she had never felt before. It started at her core and moved out through her limbs and head. She felt as if someone was twisting her insides around and wouldn’t stop. That’s all she wanted was for the pain to stop. Tears flowed from her eyes as she cried.
All of this went on unknown to Marcela who was now distracted by one of her usual male musician customers. He had brought along his German shepherd and was discussing different guitars and electrical equipment. A faint thump was heard by the dog that quickly went to investigate. “Hey, don’t be getting into anything!” called out the man. “Oh, I’m sure he’ll be ok.” reassured Marcela.
A yelp resounded from the back of the store, and quickly the adults ran back to see what had happened. Marcela thought perhaps the dog had knocked something over and scared itself or maybe something had fallen on the poor animal. None of these possibilities were apparent when they got back to the sound booths. “Mommy?!” Victoria called out in a terrified tone. Marcela clasped her hand over her mouth and gasped. The man also gasped at the visage. Victoria had blood covering her mouth and running down her front as well as being on her hands. The girl was breathing frantically as if she had just seen a ghost and didn’t know what to do.
“What the hell happened? What did you do?!” yelled the man. He knelt down to get a better look at his dog. The animal’s neck was broken and had been bitten through. “Oh my god!!” he shouted. “What’s wrong with your daughter Marcela?!” The woman however was frozen and had no response other than holding her mouth and shaking her head. The man grabbed a pole for a microphone stand and struck Victoria on the left side of her head. Victoria winced at the strike, but the man was shocked as the pole bent as if it had hit a steel beam. Victoria’s anger flooded her and she lunged at the man knocking him into some amplifiers and then to the floor. He yelled out but it was brief as Victoria tore open his throat with her teeth and fed on his blood.
She was swirling with emotions from fear and horror to anger and confusion. Sitting back as her breathing slowed she started to cry as she began to realize what she had done. Looking at her blood covered hands and clothes the little girl then looked to her mother again. “Mommy!?…”

It had been two days since the incident at the music store, and during that time Victoria stayed quiet and kept to herself. She spent most of her time in her room, but when her presence was requested by her parents she would sit either at one end of the couch or in a chair with her legs pulled up to her chest and arms wrapped around them. She had closed herself in a shell per se.
Her parents were worried about her. They thought if she kept up this behavior she might fall into a dark place and possibly more bad things would happen. Worst of all was their fear of losing their beloved daughter. They both desperately wanted the girl who brought sunshine to their lives to return. More so they wanted her to have a chance to have a good and happy life. This of course would require some effort, but it wasn’t impossible.
On the night of the second day Artur called both of his favorite ladies into his study. “I have some good news!” He exclaimed cheerfully. “I think I’ve found something that will help our family.” He pointed to the monitor of his computer. On the screen was a very nice and rather large looking building. It looked like it should belong to someone of great wealth. “This is a special school.” Artur looked specifically at Victoria. “It’s a special school for special people. One’s with gifts the rest of us don’t have. I heard of it from a friend of mine over in America who works for us in our New York office. He said only good things about it. I think this is the answer we have been hoping for.”
Victoria moved closer to the glowing screen as she looked at the image. It was a beautiful looking place. She had never seen anything so amazing. Her soft voice entering the air as a welcome sound to her parents’ ears. “What do they teach the special people?” Her eyes never leaving the screen as her father replied. “From what I’ve heard as well as what I’ve found from some research is that they help the special people to learn about themselves. They guide special people to help them live a more normal life where they might not have such a chance elsewhere. They also teach school type studies so it’s almost two schools in one.”
*Update for absence*
Months had gone by after Victoria had discovered the music store called Key Notes and had befriended the older man who ran the store, Ned. She spent as much time as she could there, playing and singing songs for Ned and drawing in patrons to his store. Ned had once told a customer that the little girl was better than a light up billboard.
Things were good until one night Victoria was happily humming a tune to herself on her way to the store, but when she turned the corner to the street leading to the store she heard shouting and glass breaking followed by the distinct sound of gun shots. Three younger men dashed out of the store yelling at each other and ran off further down the street and then turned down another.
Victoria ran as fast as she could to the store. Tears already welling up in her eyes at the sight of the shattered glass littering the sidewalk. She stepped into the store immediately looking for Ned. Her eyes taking in the sight of instruments knocked or thrown from their stands, many of which were damaged in some form or another. The tears turned to full on streams of sorrow. She loved this place. It was supposed to be a happy place.
A few more steps through the store and Victoria found Ned. He looked as if he had been beaten up because his face had the telltale signs of a beating, but the worse part was the blood covering his chest. Ned had been shot.
Victoria, the sweet little girl many had come to smile at and enjoy performing at the store snapped. She let out the most spine chilling scream of mixed emotions. Fear, sadness, terror, hatred and bloodlust all made themselves known in her outburst before disappearing into the night.
She spent part of the next year hunting down the men responsible for Ned’s death and unleashing her vengeance upon them. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only thing Victoria did during her time on her own. While away from the mansion she no longer had her friends to help her with her thirst, and so she fed herself. The sweet little girl who used to delight people with her presence had changed
