The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty ran as fast as he could, oddly not feeling the effects of the limp. Huh, that was odd, yet not exactly bad. Ty just stumbled out of the window, recovering only on account of the woman tugging his arm as they rushed to the bike.
He didn't look back. His only two goals were to get on the bike, and to not fall before he got there. Though it'd be nice if the world would stop spinning for two freaking seconds.
Once he finally made it to the bike, the drunk redhead waited for his new friend before climbing on behind her and hanging on. He knew this was going to be rough.

When Ty hit the ground, his first thought was to never get up. Then, the roar shook the room. Okay, maybe I should get up," he thought, though it was much easier thought than done. When he felt Megan grab his arm, he quickly hopped up, that being all the help he needed. You know, because the roaring beast and the splintering wood and screaming patrons weren't sign enough that they needed to split.
He ran with her, praying to any and every deity he could think of that they'd make it out in time. Well, it wasn't the sort of action he was hoping for, but...at least this was an eventful birthday, right?
"Damn," he half grumbled, half chuckled. "You sure know how to pick em."

"That's me, some sick kind of genius. Well, sick, if nothing else, heh." Ty chuckled, assisting her as she'd asked, grabbing the IV and helping her wrap it to look like a newborn baby.
"Luckily she's got her mom's face," he joked, wincing a little as she mentioned lying. Oh yeah, right.
"Yeah. The fun part's going to be getting past the nurses," he murmured, taking the wheelchair and pushing it as best he could with a limp. They made it down the hall decently, but once they got to where the exit was right down the hall, Ty cursed under his breath. The receptionist knew his face... Casually, he pushed his 'wife' toward the exit and out of the automatic doors.
"Excuse me, you can't--"
Ty didn't stay for the rest of that sentence, pushing the wheelchair into the parking lot and looking for a decent car. They were short on time, and Ty found one that was unlocked--and had the keys in it. Maybe he wasn't unlucky after all!
He helped Noel and the 'baby' into the car and jumped into the driver's seat, throwing the car into gear and speeding out of the parking lot before anyone came out, hopefully.
"Okay, so...I don't know exactly where you live...just the building. So I'm going to take you to Sanctuary, where I stay. If you're comfortable, that is. I could sleep on the floor, and the bed's yours while you recover. But before that...we need to ditch this car and any trace that we had it..."

"Yeah, that would be alot worse." He stood up, stretching a little as he thought about their next move. "Missed? Seven years is kind of alot to process. I mean, in 2006? I was fourteen and just moving here. Well, the president changed, of course, and mutants like us are kinda a controversial thing. Oh! And cell phones are alot cooler now, computers are faster..."
He paused when the nurse came in and Noel mentioned discharge papers. Then not having insurance. "Uhhh...in that case, we need to get outta here like ten minutes ago," he muttered, stepping out for a minute. When he came back, he had a wheelchair with an "IT'S A GIRL!" balloon on it, and a pile of pink blankets.
"I know you hardly remember me, but...how would you like to be the mother of my daughter?" he cracked, winking with somewhat of a sly grin. This had to be one of the dumbest ideas he'd ever had.

Ty winced a little, looking at her. "Uhhh...it's...2013," he murmured gently, his voice trailing off a little as the awkward silence set in. Now what...was a very good question.
"I'm...not sure," he admitted. I mean, I guess once they let you out of here, I take you home so you can fully recover, and from there...I guess we try to get your life back. Or get you a new one." He paused, making a face. "That sounded bad. What I mean to say is, I can help you remember more, if you so choose. You'd told me in your message to do what I wanted, just not to lie. Well, I want what you want for yourself. I've no place to make you what I want. Man...this is kinda confusing..." He rubbed his temples, thinking as he sorta let his gaze drift out the window.

Ty chuckled, but at the rest of her questions, he donned a more serious, sincere expression. "From what I can tell, you aren't crazy. Weren't. Whatever. Former FBI, kicked around, bullied, and taken advantage of by alot of people. You weren't crazy, you just struck me as the kind of person who got tired of taking **** from everybody." He cracked a little smile.
"From what you told me, she ruined your life, her life, and the life of someone you loved. Personally, I woulda just stabbed her and gotten it over with, but...well I think what she'd have to endure now is a fate worse than death." He stood up, walking over to sit closer to her.
"Day job? Let's just say...I'm self employed," he murmured. "Besides, I promised I'd see you through the end of this, so that's what I need to do."

"The person that put you here," he repeated. "Was someone you blamed for alot of your problems, someone who apparently caused a lot of trouble. You wanted revenge. You made her forget. Everything. Even to the point of controlling her mutation, from what I gathered from the vision. After doing what you'd sworn to me you'd do, you were somehow...thrown into something, burned, and you ended up here, with no emergency contacts except a little brother. Me." The redhead rubbed his temples a little, starting to relax as the pounding headache settled, but he didn't move from his spot.
"In a sense... His voice became gentle. "You put you in here. You told me what you planned to do, via a handgun you mailed to me. And said when you ended up in the hospital, they'd call me, because I'm all you have. And...well, here we are, planning our next move as you recover. Though I honestly gotta say...I'm flattered by how much you've entrusted me with." He smiled softly.

Ty slumped against the wall. Okay...that made him feel a bit better, oddly enough. Oh crap...fight. That's right.
Ty saw the guys trying to team up on his new...friend? But they weren't doing so great. Weakly, the kid made his way over, picking up a chair and breaking it against the back of the guy Megan had just broken free from, and he went down. Well, he still wasn't doing very great but...hey he technically took one out, right?
This drinking thing...maybe it wasn't his thing. He lifted his knee to the fallen man's nose, then he lost his footing and fell flat on his back. He just lay there, letting the room spin for a minute.

Ty attempted to find his footing, but not being used to being under the influence made it harder than it should have been. And he wasn't used to fighting; usually it was a one-sided hit, or a stab. Now, he had two guys trying to box with him. Great. Wait...the two merged into just one, but...he was swaying. That, plus the spinning room made it very hard to focus. Suddenly, Ty saw an opening and he jabbed with the knife, feeling it sink deep. Then he pulled back for another attempt.
But it wouldn't come out. Great...he'd jammed his knife into the bar, and now it was wedged. Fighting with it didn't last long as he felt a punch connect to his jaw, and he swung in retaliation, hearing the man cough as he--for once in his life, got lucky and connected with the man's throat. He then used this opportunity to...well, get rid of the alcohol in his system.
So, he quickly and awkwardly made his way to the nearest bathroom--no wait! Scratch that--Trash can.
Well, hopefully the guy he was fighting would have a little pity on the kid who was one minute trying to defend some girl, and the next kneeling with his head in a potted tree...

"It's not what I saw that's rough," he explained. "Sometimes, my mutation takes a toll on my body. This is one of those times. That shirt's seen alot, and I just witnessed years and years of memories in a matter of maybe two minutes."
Ty nodded, taking a breath. "Yeah, you can tell if someone's lying, and you can gather memories by...licking stuff. I guess one could say where the palms of my hands serve as my window to the past, your tongue does the same?" He shrugged, chuckling at how funny that sounded.
"What exactly I saw is alot to process though. In fact I'm still sort of...'remembering' so to speak. What you'd wanted me to remember for you, are my memories too now. I'm...I'm honestly not sure what you want to remember," he admitted. "I'll go ahead and tell ya you've had it rough."

"I don't blame you," Ty said quietly. "I can if you need me to, but I'd be back. I'm not leaving you like this." His voice was a great deal weaker, shaky even as he spoke, his hand resting on his head.
"My mutation. Sometimes, it's pretty rough. I can touch something, and I see everything it's ever been through." He put the green glove back on, leaning his head against the wall and closing his eyes. "Your mutation is making people forget, among other things. I'm not sure I even know the extent of your powers," he continued. "But when you make people forget, you forget too. That's where I come in. We met awhile back, and discovered our powers are similar. We stuck together, saved each other's lives, even. After that, I promised to help you remember."
He paused, resting as his head pounded like a bass drum in the back of his skull. "I promised you I'd have your back no matter what. So, here I am."

Ty looked around, thankfully no nurses or doctors were around to hear her say that. "No," he whispered, "I'm not. But you listed me as an emergency contact--and your brother--for when...whatever this is, would happen," he explained. "I'm a friend, and hopefully I can help you remember, if you want. But while you're here, we need to make the doctors and nurses think I'm your little brother, because that's what they believe. And trust me, they can be a pain about this crap."
Ty looked down at the shirt, smiling at her. He knew she didn't remember him. It was like last time, only worse. "First...I'm going to find out what happened to you, okay? You're in no shape to get up right now, as much as I wish we could. I hate hospitals..."
Shaking his head, he tugged off one of his gloves, then touched what was left of her shirt. He staggered back with the vision, seeing the entire life of the shirt, from beginning to its untimely end. Pale, he sat down in a chair and popped a couple of aspirin.
"Damn...that's rough..." he muttered, gaining his composure. "At least now you're gonna be okay. I'm here for you," he reassured her.

Ty blinked at the rather awkward question. But...hey it could have been worse.
"Well...I've lived in New York for seven years now, or close to it. But, yeah I didn't grow up here," he started, relaxing a bit. "Born in Georgia, had a rough life and long story short my aunt took me in and moved me up here. When she was killed, I took to the street. Living there, getting by with stealing. Even after getting a home, and the ability to make money...stealing still...came natural to me. Only lately...well, I guess some events in my life have caused me to lose my touch..." He sighed, finally letting all of his problems in a nutshell off of his chest.

"I haven't, but we'll get it later," Ty replied as he kept walking. "If he's screwing with us, we need to use our time wisely. Hell...if I'm gathering this punk right, he'll probably have a bottle waiting for me..."
Ty thought hard about the visions, focusing on the memories the paper had given him. "Looks like an apartment. Small, but not a run down hole. I'd say it's the same place he wrote your other one. Maybe his own house or something. But he dresses like an average male in his early 20's. Clean cut, glasses, a band tee shirt and some jeans. But he's got this...air about him. Even in the visions I get this feeling that he's a psychopath. He seems to...enjoy this. And he hasn't spoken a single word...it's all written on another piece of paper, perfectly placed next to the one he gave you..."
This morning, Ty had his head on more straight. He still hated this guy wit the limp and the cool hat, but judging from who they were dealing with...he'd have to put his feelings for Rupert aside. At least for now.

This time, Ty got his phone, he even answered it on the second ring. From what Noel had told him, he knew it was going to be a hospital the next time he heard anything from her. And he knew it was going to be pretty bad. But that knowledge didn't ease it when it actually came through though. He was warned that she would end up in bad shape, and there was nothing he could do to stop it; it just came to pass.
Even then, he had to smile at Noel Fisher. Sister. That was clever. When the voice finished talking, Ty nodded for some reason. "I'll be there as quick as I can." With that, he hung up and made his way outside, his limp not as prominent but still present, deciding to take a cab. He had to see her, and fast. No time to be Captain Cripple and get there possibly too late.
The cab ride lasted too long to him, as did the walk to the front desk. "I'm here to see Noel Fisher." The lady was one he wasn't exactly a stranger to. "For some reason, kid, you always pick the ones that are in a condition where they can't have visitors." "She's my sister. I can help." "So you can control her mutation?" "Yeah," he lied, without even thinking about it.
The woman looked at him through the oversized frames of her eyeglasses and sighed. "Down the hall. I really hope you don't have to come back again for a long time after this."
Ty nodded, hurriedly hobbling to where the receptionist directed him, and he stopped in the doorway, seeing her. "Noel? It's me...Ty. I came as soon as I got the news..." A nurse walking down the hall gave him a funny look. "I'm her brother," he lied. The nurse kept going, and Ty slowly walked a little closer to her. "We'll need you to calm down though...so you can get out of here faster."
