The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She wrote down the brand's he wanted. She had a good memory for somthing like this, simply did not wish to miss anything. She wnated it to go off perfectly. When he got to the keg's she found he was right. Most of it she would need to special order as such foreign brands were just not to popular here. SHe had never heard of some of the brand's either which did not help, but she knew she could find them. "I will, but that should not be an issue" she said thinking.
It sunk in further how high class this party actually was when he mentioned the Japanese ambassador of Japan being there as well as an Indien group he mentioned. The beer she knew better and though she wrote that down as well though. Guinesses was mildly popular though she hated the stuff herself. She was still considering all this when he mentioned about sampling American brews.
She nodded and turned to the tap. She had budweiser, bud, light, Heinikin, Molsen Canadian and Labatts on tap. She would start in roughly that order for him to Sample, although she poured him more then he requested. He had just become her most profitable customer. "We can certainly do that" she said as she turned and slipped a glass of Budweiser in front of him.
She breifly considered what to wear to such a party. It was easily higher class then anything she had been to. Still it sounded like fun, to go to and to watch. "All of this seem's easy enough to have done. I keep about 6 on tap, though i think the Heinikin is German" she said not really sure on that.

To say the offer surprised her was an understatement. She had not recalled that particular fact about the birdman but it did sound like an offer that would be profitable in more then just money. Th exposure would tell many about her bar that may not have heard about it which she knew would bring in customers. She waited for him to Finnish before she offered a reply, though she was fairly sure her excitement on the idea was showing through.
"I am quite interested in your offer and i think your right about the prophet involved as well. I'll need a list of any specific types of Alcohol you want. I don't have much from that part of the world, other then some of the beer your drinking" she said. Honestly this was roughly the third of the brand she had sold in the past few months. "I am honored you thought of me for this, when is it?" she asked curiously. SHe had never done an actual event since obtaining her own bar.

It had been a very boring day. The dinner crowd well never large to begin with, had been almost non existent. She should have been happy for the time off, but instead she was just board. SHe sometimes questioned being open at all during the day but she was never entirely sure what she might do otherwise. Opening a bottle of Budweiser, she put it down in front of a customer and while walking back to the center of the bar top to recount the bottles of booze she had stocked, a voice who knew her mentioned her name and more.
She knew not the voice that spoke to her, but it was hard to forget a man with feather's and wings. She stopped bothering to count and bent down grabbing the man's beer brand and set it before him. SHe put his order back into the kitchen. She considered his word's and found them interesting enough to bite.
"You got my attention" she said interesting and brushing her hair behind her shoulder. It only now registered he called her Ms and she thought about telling him to simply call her Melissa but she decided to wait to see what he wanted besides his order.

"It does come in handy" she admitted shyly. She was normally proud of her creations. She still was though things had gotten complicated today and it felt different. Still as she looked around it was certainly home, even if it smelled worse then her bar.
Not for the first time she wished she had any number of powers that could have prevented the day's event's from happening at all. Her own power had no aggressive uses, besides maybe splashing someone in the eye.
"It can get annoying though as it won't turn off" she admitted. Her skin simply turned any body of water she was in contact with to booze. She could shape it, control it but not stop it. This made the simpler thing's like a shower much harder then it should have been.
"If you like you can stay a bit" she offered him, unsure why she was doing so. Still for some reason it felt comforting to have the man around. Their was little in the way of actual hospitality. She was sure she would see him again anyway though. She hoped this strange helpless feeling would fade soon, she was unused to it and did not at all care for it.

"I am, and you must be Lily?" she said venturing a guess. She matched the description that Jupiter had given to her. Still what she had said was a fairly stranded greeting she got in the bar. Word of mouth was a powerful thing in the business and more so with her bar.
Their were few people in the bar who seemed to have enough mentality about them to care if the place was on fire. Moving down the bar a few yards she served the other patron in the bar who seemed to not be gone from the world. She poured him a shot before moving back to Lily. She grabbed another bottle from the back row and set it down in front of her.
"You drink at all?" she asked the girl, though she had brought out the bottle for other reasons. If this was the girl she thought it was, she could use the bottle to show what she wanted her to do. SHe needed somone like her not so much to forge as to create something and not ask questions or to see documentation.

She did her best not to consider the screams of the dieing man. She found it easier then she thought she should have but chose not to dwell on that. Deciding they should depart quickly, she looked around and guided her Savoir down the street. The path was quite though a few questionable characters seems to hang around a run down apartment building with boarded up windows. When they approached her apartment building it looked decent considering the neighborhood, but the neglect was obvious.
Since she only lived a few block's from work, she sometimes walked when the weather was nice enough. However she did figure that would not be the case for quite some time now. Reaching her door, she opened it without a thought and stepped in, turning on the lights.
The Apartment was clean enough, but the smell of liquor was a bit heavy. The wall's of the living room they had walked into, were lining with over a dozen kiddie pool's, some with various ingredient's in them, all filled to within a few inches of the top. The curtain's were heavy and let little light through. On shelf's were unlabeled bottles some filled to various point's others empty, most were only marked by a colored ribbon and a number on the ribbon.
She had avoided bringing people to where she lived for this reason, one could almost taste the liquor in the air and her neighbors were fairly convinced she was a heavy alcoholic. The situation at least to her mind begged to be explained. "I am a Mutant as well, My skin turns any water it touches into well...." she said sweeping the room with her hand. She was still nervous but it was nice to shift her focus to something else.
Grabbing a yellow ribbened bottle from the shelf, she opened it, and drank a decent amount right out of the bottle. "The stuff in the pool's is not ready yet, i can make the liqueur but the flavoring takes more time" she explained offering him the bottle.

Melissa's bar was open, but their was barely a soul in it. Wendesday's tended to be slow and Melissa had picked today for that reason. She had called Jupiter and asked him if he knew someone who could make some legitimate looking labels for her. The Colored ribbons while pretty had grown distinct from the other bottles and she needed a way to make them blend in more. Jupiter had called her back with a possible solution and they had with Jupiter's contact arranged a time. She had not heard of this Lily before but then for all she knew it could have been the actual name for any number of her patrons.
She glanced back into the Kitchen, Jose was mulling about, dragging a trash can behind him. His usual fowl mouth trailing him, even as he had seemingly nothing to be annoyed with. Melissa knew the truth however and that was why she tolerated it. The five foot tall racoon chef was a very good cook and Melsisa was pretty sure their low food sales were do to him being a furry animal. As she waited she took a rag and started cleaning the bar, though it did not need it, it had become very common for her to do.
She was glad the city was calming down and the normal level of chaos had returned to her bar. She slid someone a shot when they asked for it, this early in the day the only people who usually showed up were people much to blasted to remember more then their name and what they wanted to drink. It was the perfect time to conduct some business that was less then legal. She fidgeted with her deep blue nails, tapping nervously on the bar. She could hope thing's went well.

"Well with the stories i hear in this place, maybe we both had life pretty easy then, I hear some pretty bad stories here. Good one's to, but the bad ones seem to stick around longer." she said, having heard quite a number of horrible stories, some of which seemed to bad to be true. Good stories, even like her's seemed to be the rarity, which was even sadder.
"Wow, iv'e never left the states. I grew up in city's though, so im more comfortable in them as well. " she said mentally joking that she was qualified to live in the country area as she could already make moonshine.
She nodded. "Yes, most of the people who come here, are mutant's. I figured their biker bar's, sport's bar's and just plain old bar's, but their wern't any Bar's specifically targeting Mutant's. So i Looked for the highest population's of known mutant's in the city, and bought and remodeled this place. Built like a bomb shelter" she said with a smile. "Humans come once in a while, but most don't stay long" she went on. Even the tolerant one's tended to be worried by the presence of lots of drunk mutant's. She could hardly blame anyone for that.
"The Drink is called 7's cloud, I brought quite a bit of local booze from back home and still have some contact's. no one had really challenged her claim yet, and no one had seemed to check for the existence of any of them.
It was the Jose, The raccoon Mutant made his way back upstair's the keg looked almost as big as him, but he moved it into place. He grumbled and made his way back to the kitchen, more then one fowl word could be heard from his mouth. She felt bad for the Raccoon chef, despite him somehow being cleared by health inspectors, their were few that would even consider letting what amounted to a giant furry animal cook.

Her fear had consumed her to the point, where she did not immediately realize the man who had been trying to rape her, had been removed. She heard the sounds of cracking bone and the like but it never quite registered in her mind. Had she seen What ender's had done, she might have lost whatever she had eaten earlier. Her mind only punched through the veil when she heard someone talking to her. She pulled her hand back at first before her mind was able to distinguish this was a different man.
She had no idea who he was, but the crystals caught her eye and she understood that even if this new man was a threat, he was not the same one she had encountered. She took the man's hand and realized just how much her feet were shaking when she had to rely on the man, to stand for a few seconds.
"Y-Yes, th-thank you.." she said trying to regain her composure. She knew she should be more upset by what had just happened, but she just felt numb and her thought's disordered.
"If its.....not to much trouble, could you walk me home, i live close" she said hoping her voice did not sound quite as bad as she felt. Putting her hand's in front of her face, she closed her eyes for a second trying to chase the helpless feeling away. She would give the man directions. "I can't offer much, But i have some liqueur" she said the word's out of her moulth before she knew she had said them. Before her mind could protect further, the thought was crushed by the thick clouds in her mind.

Melissa was walking home from work, while she knew the neighborhood was questionable, she had never had an actual issue. Even the Rioting had skipped over the bar, which she was glad for. She really had not wanted to deal with the damage that had affected much of the city. She was looking forward to relaxing at home in her shower, and not smelling like she had swam in a pool of liqueur, which she had once that day. Still she could not help but notice someone's foot step's behind her.
Turning to look, she caught a solid punch to the temple and staggered back, the second blow missed but backed her against a wall, that instantly made her wish she had not touched it. The man was yelling something, and Melissa realized he was attacking her because of her bar and pro mutant status as well as being a likely mutant herself. She smelled the booze on his breath as she brought her foot up in a kick, she missed and before she knew it, the man had taken her to the ground.
She struggled and tried to yell but felt a hand clamp over her mouth. SHe felt his other hand touch her chest and in response she bit the man, who drew back his hand, letting her scream echo through the night.

Melissa was unable to sense her power being canceled out, but she considered her words. She recalled her conversation with Jupiter. "You mean you turn powers off?" she asked interested in the idea. She could not recall the term he had used for it, but she had decided that most of her patrons might not have enjoyed it. Still the idea that could turn them off was intriguing.
"Visting for Training would be best. I have a home not to far from my work. Not the best neighborhood, but it work's" she said which was partly true. Her land lord still hounded her about her rather impressive water bills, even though she paid it.
"I would like to see the place though, it looks very large. " she said looking over the building again. "I Moved here from San Francisco maybe 6 months ago and opened a bar for Mutant's." she said making conversation, unsure how to proceed.

Melissa walked in after being buzzed in and soon saw a woman approaching her up the driveway. She noticed some kid's playing on the lawn but paid more attention to The woman before. She was glad she got someone in the staff to answer the gate as well, it would makes things simple.
"Hello, my Name is Melissa, Xilx" she said as she took the other woman's hand. Straight to the point, Melissa liked that. "I have heard much of this place, but i would like to try and learn to better control my power here. I never found the off button" she said looking over the campus again. Their sure were a lot of kid's here.
