The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cyra paused in her thoughts as the rooftop door was banged open and a young man collapsed near it. He laughed and wheezed, then laughed again before speaking. Cyra frowned who the heck was this guy and was he a mind reader or something? Cyra turned slowly, "Yes I am a mutant, and no I won't threaten your life." She paused and grinned slyly, "At this point though, I do believe you are threatening your own life. You happen to be wheezing rather horribly."
She frowned, "And yes, my lover is imprisioned in the camps." She moved extremely fast and was right next to Rupert when she spoke again. "And if you really must know, nah, you don't need to know." She smiled sweetly, "Are you part of the resistance, Mr. ??"
When Cyra landed on the rooftop of an apartment complex, she sighed. She had no way of contacting Virote at all. It had been a full month and a half now. Thats how long she hadn't seen or heard from Virote. She had kept her eyes on the news. The media loved to hear about mutant deathsand report them, from anyone and anywhere. They also liked to show pictures, Cyra was disgusted by all of it.
Yes, she was a mutant herself, any babe born of a syndicate member had to be tested at birth. It was found in her genes and Virote's, his was bit more useful though. She shook her head and looked around, it was dusk and made the area a bit harder to see. And to spot things, like those dratted robots. She had finished folding up her glider wings finally and had stuffed them in a small bag. That then went it her backpack. She yawned and sat down, she wasn't too sure of where to go to next. She needed to talk to someone who could help her, where to find them though was the ultimate problem.
After climbing in the jeep, Kitra tossed the keys to him and had buckled herself in.
"The library is just a short drive, long enough for a little nap if your tired but not too long."
Kitra smirked, "No, I don't think I'll take a nap. I may not have slept for a few days, but I'm good"
< I have got to stay awake. I am not gonna fall asleep in a vehicle with a complete stranger. Hmm, topics ...topics...what should I attempt to talk about?>
"Can you see if it works now? My friend said this would do it should it ever happen... I am glad i forgot though! Otherwise you would still be stuck over there all alone."
Kitra went to the vehicle after catching the keys and stuck them in the ignition.
"...And come to think of it... I have never seen an art warehouse over here..."
"Hmmm, thats odd ,the guy said it was around here. Perhaps the library is a good place to go. I do love books. Alright, I'm gonna start her up."
"To tell you the truth, i am not much of a sleeper. I was heading towards the library, then was going to head back home. Anyway, if it is not absolutely too much trouble, would you mind heading towards my car with me? I mean it is da-dangerous out here and I am sure it is safer if we are not alone. Also, there is just as m-much of a chance to find a payphone over there as there is here."
<He really does seem terrified. Well...there's no harm I suppose. Better be alert though.>
After flashing him with a reasurring smile, she replied, "Well, alright. It is safer in numbers after all. And it is possible to find a payphone over there as well. Lead the way."
" I walked here looking for an art store. I was told it was in this area. But, it doesn't seem to be around here. Look I'm sorry if I'm being rude. I am not a poeple person. Anyway what brings you here at this time of night? Were you looking for something? I might be able to help."
"Well sure, we can always knock on a few doors.. I just need to get a hold of AAA." He seemed to calm down a bit at her friendly tone. "Actually... do you know anything at all about cars? I am sure... oh wait! Last time this happened I was told just to make sure the battery was all the way on... I bet I can fix it. Then i wouldn't mind giving you a ride if you wanted. Care to take a look with me?"
<Good he seems to have calmed down a bit.> "Well, I appricate the offer but... It seems to me that its a bit odd for a complete stranger in the middle of the night, in New York no less, to be offering someone they just met a ride. And who might the AAA be?"
Oh he..hello Ma'am. You woul...wouldn't happen to know where a p-payphone is would you? My jeep just isn't being agreeable." He seems to force a quick nervous chuckle. "C-Cars never used to be this complicated..."
Spinning around after making her dagger disappear, Kitra replied, "Well, hello. I'm actually looking for a pay phone myself."
< Is this person the one that made that noise? Hmmm... I better be careful around him cause he looks a little...scary. Plus, its midnight in New York, bad time to be out.>
Looking over at him, Kitra says, "Well sir, I'm afraid we're both in a bit of a tight spot." Looking up she realizes that his eyes are a cold hazel and that he is rather tall.
"Um, perhaps we should look for someone who could help us?" Or, we could always go knock on a door or two. Its just a thought."
Looking around her, Kitra realized she was lost. Very lost.
"Oh, great. Trying to find an art store and I manage to get lost. I am sooo stupid." Starts to mutter and growl at herself. "I have been walking around for 3 hours, 3 HOURS!!!! Grrr, that guy said there was an art supply store in this area that was supposed to be open 24/7. Oh maybe its down this street, I really hope so."
Turning at what she thought would be another street, Kitra finds it to be a dead end. She turns once again back on the street and starts walking towards what she hopes to be a main street.
"Ok, maybe i can find someone to help me or try to find a pay phone..." She stops speaking for she thought she heard a noise. <"Oh, how lovely" she thinks, "Perhaps it might be someone to help me">
Turning, Kitra realizes that there is no one there. Slighly alarmed now, she starts walking even faster now in what she thinks is the opposite direction of the noise she heard. <Thinks," I hope it was just an animal but its better to be safe then sorry">
Giving a slight frown of concentration, she puts out her hand and a small but very sharp dagger with a dark green handle appears in it.
"This should be enough, just in case", Kitra murmers then shivers, "It seems to have gotten colder."
Zelek looked stunned and came forward and nabbed her hand. Which effectivly stopping her hands from twisting together and making her blush even more.
'I can't believe I just did that! I really don't believe I did that....but I did. I am so happily frazzled with myself.' Kitra giglgled then paused and tilted her head towards Zelek and smiled at him as they left the mansion. They walked hand in hand to the picnic table and retreived her artist supplies. As they walked to the gate Kitra wondered at Zelek's silence. Her mind was running around, trying to figure out what was going on and what was going to happen and what Zelek was thinking and and.... her mind completly stopped wondering at anything.
Zelek had lightly tipped her chin towards him and kissed her lightly on the lips, in complete bliss of a first kiss...which this was her first one. She wondered idly if this was his first kiss, and realized that it really didn't matter.
They parted and she swooned slightly as Zelek asked if she needed to call her ride. "Um, yea I suppose I should do that." Kitra pulled out her phone feeling rather giddey, and let Derrick know she would meet him a few blocks away. Kitra snapped her phone shut and looked at Zelek with a happy smile on her face, "I, um, I'm gonna walk a few blocks over and meet up with them. I had a really, really good time Zelek." Kitra hadn't thought she could turn any redder but she felt herself become even more hot in the face, she ducked her face down with a sheepish grin as her foot came up a bit and was rubbing up and down her leg in a nervous gesture.
She stopped after a few seconds and grinned and leaned over to Zelek and kissed him on the check and nabbed her stuff. "Thanks Zelek, I see you soon." Kitra winked and scooted out the gateway and down the road. She was grinning from ear to ear and whistled happily.
Kitra got into the SUV a few minutes later. They stopped at the grocery store where she grabbed some fruit. She yawned as they headed back to the apartment.
Derrick helped her upstairs to her apartment and she put her things away. Walking into the bedroom and over to the bed, she collapsed upon it and started snoring.
Kitra tilted her head to one side. Kitra sighed inwardly, she needed to get some more shopping done today. She nabbed the now empty bowl and washed that as well as the mixing utensils.
She raised her voice slightly over the running wate, "Yea, I really don't want to go. But, I do have to get some more shopping done." Kitra rinsed the dishes and her hands then turned to Zelek. Kitra smiled, "I might have to take a nap as well. I had an exhausting day for work yesterday." She rolled her eyes and chuckled, "I was brought through my paces for my artwork. I had fun today Zelek, thank you."
She walked forward a few paces and wondered if she was actually going to give him a kiss. Kitra smiled and kissed Zelek lightly on the cheek. Kitra blushed and realized that she just did. Her mind was now running around in circles as Kitra moved in the direction of the door.
She did this rather slowly, "So Zelek, are you going to show me the way out or do I get to stumble around and get lost?" She grinned playfully at him and figured that if she could see herself in the mirror, she would be redder than a beet. Her hands were twisting themsleves in each other behind her back as she felt her ears become hot as well.
Zelek seemed just as pleased with the food as she did. She noted that it was almost gone and grinned. "I guess we were both hungry, it's almost gone....Well, my portion is gone anyway." Kitra had finished and let out a small burp and turned bright red as she covered her mouth. "Excuse me! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or anything like that." Kitra got up and grabbed her plate and brought it to the sink and washed it along with her fork. She silently hoped that she would stop turning red so easily.
Kitra was momentarily horrified at Zelek'z expression, but it turned to a grin at his words. "It does look pretty good." Kitra smiled as Zelek grabbed lemonade, "Oh lemoneade is awesome."
Kitra grabbed the plates and served Zelek and herself, then dug in. "This is great! Nummy." Kitra munched on her portion happily and served herself a bit more. She paused and looked up slightly embarresed, "It's too good not to have more."
Kitra nodded, "That's cool. I shall attempt to add this together." Kitra laughed and poured the mix onto the noodles. "This looks so good. Can we eat now?" She looking imploringly at Zelek, "Please."
Kitra chuckled, "Well, it sounds really good. And I also happen to be rather hungry as well." On cue her stomach growled, "I guess really hungry." Kitra laughed then looked at Zelek, "Have you made any interesting friends so far here?"
