The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Looking around her, Kitra realized she was lost. Very lost.
"Oh, great. Trying to find an art store and I manage to get lost. I am sooo stupid." Starts to mutter and growl at herself. "I have been walking around for 3 hours, 3 HOURS!!!! Grrr, that guy said there was an art supply store in this area that was supposed to be open 24/7. Oh maybe its down this street, I really hope so."
Turning at what she thought would be another street, Kitra finds it to be a dead end. She turns once again back on the street and starts walking towards what she hopes to be a main street.
"Ok, maybe i can find someone to help me or try to find a pay phone..." She stops speaking for she thought she heard a noise. <"Oh, how lovely" she thinks, "Perhaps it might be someone to help me">
Turning, Kitra realizes that there is no one there. Slighly alarmed now, she starts walking even faster now in what she thinks is the opposite direction of the noise she heard. <Thinks," I hope it was just an animal but its better to be safe then sorry">
Giving a slight frown of concentration, she puts out her hand and a small but very sharp dagger with a dark green handle appears in it.
"This should be enough, just in case", Kitra murmers then shivers, "It seems to have gotten colder."

Having pulled up in his black jeep only moments before, he saw her from down the alley. On his walkie Jebidiah told the trailing black van of 8 thugs to stay behind. If he needed them they could be their in moments.
Damn, that was foolish, He thought as she seemed to have heard him and turned towards the opposite direction. Might as well take the casual approach.
He walked straight down the alley, hands in his cloak pockets, not at all trying to hide his movements. As he approached her he feigned being startled, jumping just a bit.
"Oh he..hello Ma'am. You woul...wouldn't happen to know where a p-payphone is would you? My jeep just isn't being agreeable." He seems to force a quick nervous chuckle. "C-Cars never used to be this complicated..."

Spinning around after making her dagger disappear, Kitra replied, "Well, hello. I'm actually looking for a pay phone myself."
< Is this person the one that made that noise? Hmmm... I better be careful around him cause he looks a little...scary. Plus, its midnight in New York, bad time to be out.>
Looking over at him, Kitra says, "Well sir, I'm afraid we're both in a bit of a tight spot." Looking up she realizes that his eyes are a cold hazel and that he is rather tall.
"Um, perhaps we should look for someone who could help us?" Or, we could always go knock on a door or two. Its just a thought."

Jebidiah had no idea what she was capable of; Hunter hadn't told him if she was a mutant, he hadn't told her who she was at all. When he becomes loyal to someone, he rarely asks questions.
"Well sure, we can always knock on a few doors.. I just need to get a hold of AAA." He seemed to calm down a bit at her friendly tone. "Actually... do you know anything at all about cars? I am sure... oh wait! Last time this happened I was told just to make sure the battery was all the way on... I bet I can fix it. Then i wouldn't mind giving you a ride if you wanted. Care to take a look with me?"

<Good he seems to have calmed down a bit.> "Well, I appricate the offer but... It seems to me that its a bit odd for a complete stranger in the middle of the night, in New York no less, to be offering someone they just met a ride. And who might the AAA be?"
" I walked here looking for an art store. I was told it was in this area. But, it doesn't seem to be around here. Look I'm sorry if I'm being rude. I am not a poeple person. Anyway what brings you here at this time of night? Were you looking for something? I might be able to help."

"To tell you the truth, i am not much of a sleeper. I was heading towards the library, then was going to head back home. Anyway, if it is not absolutely too much trouble, would you mind heading towards my car with me? I mean it is da-dangerous out here and I am sure it is safer if we are not alone. Also, there is just as m-much of a chance to find a payphone over there as there is here."
He seemed to plead with her with his eyes, he wanted her to think he was terrified.

<He really does seem terrified. Well...there's no harm I suppose. Better be alert though.>
After flashing him with a reasurring smile, she replied, "Well, alright. It is safer in numbers after all. And it is possible to find a payphone over there as well. Lead the way."

Jebidiah led her towards his car with an arrogant grin on his face. I should be an actor.
As they arrived at the car, he unlocked it and popped the hood. As grabbing a flashlight from under the seat he headed towards the front while she stayed at the side, watching. He reached in and pretended to tinker with the battery, twisting things, pulling things.
"Can you see if it works now? My friend said this would do it should it ever happen... I am glad i forgot though! Otherwise you would still be stuck over there all alone." He tossed her the keys.
"...And come to think of it... I have never seen an art warehouse over here..."

Kitra went to the vehicle after catching the keys and stuck them in the ignition.

"Hmmm, thats odd ,the guy said it was around here. Perhaps the library is a good place to go. I do love books. Alright, I'm gonna start her up."

Wow, he didn't even have to trick her into coming. How convenient.
As the car started up, as expected, Jebidiah asked her, "So you would like to come then? Good, it probably isn't very safe out here." He walked towards the drivers seat and waited for her to give him the keys and then get in the passengers seat. As they drove, he headed towards mondragon labs.
"The library is just a short drive, long enough for a little nap if your tired but not too long."
After climbing in the jeep, Kitra tossed the keys to him and had buckled herself in.
"The library is just a short drive, long enough for a little nap if your tired but not too long."
Kitra smirked, "No, I don't think I'll take a nap. I may not have slept for a few days, but I'm good"
< I have got to stay awake. I am not gonna fall asleep in a vehicle with a complete stranger. Hmm, topics ...topics...what should I attempt to talk about?>

"Oh, I am a big fan of fantasy books. The way the author can make a whole new world fascinates me."
He kept driving, he knew what he had to do. As she turned away to look out the window he simply took his right hand off of the wheel and slowly reached over to press a pressure point on her shoulder, instantly making her lose conscienceness; a little trick he had learned while he was in the military. She would feel next to no pain, other then the sudden freezing temperature on her neck.
