The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Hmm, I thought about it a lot and I think I would want to study the history of all art forms." She passed the bowl over to Zelek, "There, I think that should do it. What now? I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to making decent food."
Kitra blinked, " Ok, I think I got all that. And I like all of those ingredients." Kitra spotted an apron and grabbed, tying it around her waist. She turned back to Zelek, "Where do we start?"
"Old russian recipes? Sounds good. To the kitchen then good chef! Can't keep a gal waiting now can ya? Kitra winked and moved towards the indicated door. "Coming Zelek?"
"A meltdown? Thats no fun. I hope everyone is alright including said person. And what, you can't cook or something? I expected someone as charming as you to be able to cook." Kitra grinned to ease her words cause she was just messing with him now. Well, I say off to the kitchen...." Kitra had strode ahead but had stopped and turned to Zelek, looking sheepish, "Um where is it?"
Kitra followed Zelek. She frowned, "What happened over there?" She had pointed to the gauged out looking and seriously damaged wing of the mansion. "That looks pretty serious. And perhaps we could stop at a kitchen or something? I am kinda hungry."
She smiled for Zelek had made a stuffed version and velcroed it to his shoulder. "Hmm, what do you like doing? Or we could wander, that's always interesting."
"Actually, a tour sounds great. By the way, the little fuzz ball says bye bye for now." The fuzz ball creature disappeared. "Sorry Zelek, I can't keep my sketchs into being for very long."
Kitra turned around and grinned at Zelek. "So, where to first?"
Kitra shrugged slightly, "My story? It's...well.." She sighed. "I was born into a rich family but my parents cared more for wealth then their only child. I was taken care of by servants and tried my best at as much as I could in hope of praise.... That never worked. I have been scorned all my life at school as well....Thats it in a nutshell. Perhaps I'll say more later on but, not now."
She tilted her head as she looked at Zelek, "I was teasing by the way. Any really cool people here besides yourself?"
Kitra smiled, "My apologies Zelek. I'm not used to flirting and all that stuff that goes along with it." A blush had completly taken over her face as Zelek's next words sunk in.
"It is amazing, now I only need one of you to go along with it"
<Well, why not? I think I'll have some fun as well.>
Well, If thats what you really think, then why not? I'll be happy to make a portrait of myself for you." She grinned, "Perhaps it will, ah, make yours look so much nicer." Kitra giggled, She just couldn't help herself. "Was there anything else you might like? Just curiuos."
Kitra had stood and stretched, surveying the mansion grounds. "Wow, there are so many here. I never thought that there was a place where people like us could be safe."
<I should ask Hunter what other places there are like this. He would definetly know.>
How did you find this place anyway Zelek? I mean places like this aren't advertised....Or are they?"
She turned to Zelek, "I'm full of questions, sorry if they are bothering you."
Kitra was a tad bit shocked and was sure that it showed.
"You like to move fast don't you? I mean we just met yesterday..."
Kitra had trailed off into her thoughts.
<I really don't know what I'm doing. I can't flirt very well and is he actually going in the direction I think he is? I'm so confused, no clue what to think or to say....>
Kitra needed to fiddle with something and had picked up Zelek's portrait unknowlingly. She frowned realizing what she was holding then handed it to Zelek with a small smile.
"Um, I hope you like it." She looked down fiddling with a pecil now, wondering upon his thoughts of it...
Kitra grinned, "No, it's not alive. I brought it into being. There is a difference. I control it..." She then had the little fuzz ball get up and walk over to Zelek. "It can't do anything on its own really. I'd like for that to be different but I'm not sure that practice would do anything for that."
She frowned again, "And as of yet, I cannot keep my creations in being for more then ten minutes and that is only for the simple ones. The more complicated, the faster I lose it...."
"As for me working hard on my sketchs and the like...I believe its partly my mutation and there is the fact that I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil. So it isn't really working hard, just normal for me."
<I wonder if I said too much about myself. Well, I didn't tell him about me getting weak and stuff so, I should be fine.>
Kitra looked at Zelek, "You seem to be surprised. I didn't think I could surprise someone." She laughed then winked, "Well, I hope that I'm not too surprising."
Kitra listened to Zelek explain his past. She was slightly horrified and sadness come over her as well. She realized it must have showed when Zelek said it was okay.
Kitra grinned wrily," I do understand bad parenting though." She winked, "You seem to have turned out alright....I think."
She flashed him a wicked grin, "You want the Fuzz ball? Geez, I haven't seen this one on awhile."
Kirtra frowned slightly, concentrating on the sketch, then looked up with a smile.
Stting on the table was a fuzzy, orangish, devil-like creature. It had tiny arms, legs, horns, and wings.
