The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"How can I not let her get to me when she has already branded my mind with anger." She thought about what she had just said, then looked back at him, another little small smile on her face. "That was actually kinda poetic and fancy, huh?" Fade wasn't one to be poetic and 'fancy...?', it wasn't really her. Then again, ever since she had come to the mansion, her vocabulary had expanded and so had her ideas.
"What to do next." She asked as she placed her pointer and thumb on her chin in an L shape, making her pose look funny by mocking 'smart' people. "Well, we could A. cut your hair, or we could B. talk to Tricity about the X-Men thing. Up to you." Her general mood had died down some and she was a bit more calm, yet if that girl was to come back...
Fade couldn't help but let a small smile escape. It was little, yes, because she was still angry and annoyed at that stupid girl, but it was still there. "Mild?" She asked. Then again, hearing what he's done in the past, her actions did seem small and not too bad compared to killing. Then again, no matter who raised her, she hadn't been able to intentionally take a life, it wasn't the way she was, her conscience was high when it came to taking someone's life. Now stealing and haunting them until they fell to the ground in frustration or them walking away with blood dripping from their noses or mouths was a different story.
"So I guess you're extra spicy when it comes to violence, as I'm comparing this to sauce." Mild was always connected to Taco Bell sauce in her naive mind. "Thanks for pulling me out of there before I lost it, even though I still wish I'd of taught her to mess with people's minds, I'm sure it was a better alternative."
Fade's eyes squinted in anger at the girl's comment. She was just about to make another snappy comment, about how eye-changing never scared her, but before she was able to, Raph came to the rescue. Yes, Fade does seem like a subtle girl, she has calmed down since the minute she stepped into the mansion and found that she was going to quite her old habits, but this new girl made her old habits want to resurface. She was quite the rebel, always stealing things, using her power to sneak up on those she didn't like so she could win the fight. Jenny was street-smart, she didn't live the happy life with a family, and now that she had one, no one in heaven or hell was going to take that from her, especially not some new kid that thinks she knows everything and can beat up anyone she wants to.
As Raph put his arm around her and forcefully took her out of the room, she heard the girl's comments and snapped her head back around, ready to take a swing at her, but Raph was there to make sure she wouldn't and she was unable to do anything but glare at the stupid girl.
"God! I hate stupid bitches!" She exclaimed the moment they entered the living room. "They piss me off so much! I haven't met someone like that in months and I thought my time with them was over! Now she lives in the mansion?! What was Tricity thinking?! I tell you, good thing you were there, I don't care what her power is, if you weren't there, I would have tried to beat the bloody hell out of her! See how a bloody nose and a busted lip look on that pretty little punky face." Yes, she was venting, but what else could she do? What Fade really wanted to do was to turn invisible, scutter in there on the ceiling and drop the toaster on the girl's head! However, she could not do that right now, so she was forced to just vent and clench her fists until her raptor-like claws were phased through her fists and emerged on the other side of her palms.
Fade looked up and at Jaguar. After hearing his announcement she stood up, yes, she had a bit of difficulty and hobbled over to him. "A job huh? Better yet, Basketball coach. You're moving up." She said before slapping her foot on the ground to make it wake up, didn't help. All that did was send a tingling sensation up her leg like electricity, yet she acted like it didn't happed.
"honestly, nope. I mean, I know quite a bit of people here, but I don't know if anyone'll go with us." Fade shrugged. "It would be nice if we had a car, though, but I can't drive and I don't know anyone else that can, least, no one comes to mind right now."
"i honestly have no idea. So far, all I do is run around and meet new people, oh, and get in trouble occasionally." She shrugged before she stretched her back and twisted to the side before it popped. "Can you think of anything? I'm up for just about anything, anything at all." She said, which was a slight understatement, she wasn't going to just do anything, she's not a bad kid, she wouldn't run around, setting the place on fire or anything like that, but she was bored out of her mind.
"Me neither." Fade shrugged. "I wouldn't mind being a superhero, I mean, it's something to do. I've been around this place for a while, but I guess I need to be around it more, I'm too young or naive or whatever they think. I mean, I'm not mad at them, not annoyed, if anything, I owe them my life, but now I want to repay them, help out, do something. Something good, for a change." She sighed. *great, Jenny, you probably sound like a little girl that wants to run out and save the world from a comet or from the evils of hell. Nice, you sound like an idiot* She thought after she had already opened her mouth.
"I agree though." Fade said, getting up from her squating position. "They always have the excitement, I'm always just stuck sitting around, hoping someone gets in a fight nearby so I can jump in and prove myself able to help in certain situations. I'm sick of just waiting and waiting and whenever I talk to them, they have to rush off to join some other kind of excitement and I jsut watch them leave."
"Amen." She smiled. Quickly, she threw her hands down and walked over to the television, flipping through the channels manually. "Well, I hope you don't mind me changing this here. If you want, I can change it back." She said, turning back to Orb, feeling bad that she just hoped up and began changing the channels without asking.
"Nice, the name's Jenny. Well, Fade, call me Jenny when you're mad at me or annoyed or something like that." She shrugged. Her legs were tired, so she sat down on the couch. "So, where're you from?" She asked, yet again, making her famous small talk question.
"To a certain extent." She blushed, giving a half smile. Her body was perfectly fine, well, with the exception of the pen brandings, just now he saw her and her social status dropped a tad bit down to retard. Slowly, she walked over to the couch and stood next to it, looking at the tv. "Anything good on?" She asked. Her foster father would always stand when he watched tv, once, he stood there the entire movie! Occasionally, after maybe 15-30 mintues of standing, he would sit down. Fade didn't like her foster father, but she didn't mind standing while she was watching tv, not anymore at least.
Fade walked downstairs, wearing her dancing pants (her leopard, loose-fitting pj pants) and a black cami. Her raptor-like claws were painted black and she was carrying a pen in her hand, drawing intricate designs on her other hand, no, they did not look all that good, after all, she was on the move. Forgetting to look up to see where the last stair was, she hit the ground level and stepped again, waiting for her foot to hit a surface that was lower, another step, yet her foot slammed on the floor much sooner than she expected and she tumbled over.
She heard the TV and saw an unfamiliar boy and quickly, she scrambled to her feet, not noticing that the pen she was holding branded her on her cheeks, arms, and forehead during her tumble. Her cheeks turned red and she rubbed the back of her neck, praying that the guy didn't see her.
*Oh, duh, if you didn't want him to see you, you should have just used your power, well, too late now, he would suspect something if I used it now, smooth one Jenny, very smooth* She would call herself Jenny when she was angry with herself or annoyed with herself, almost as if Jenny was a different person, someone she could blame everything on and get away with it, but whether she was calld Fade or Jenny, she was still the same person.
"Yea, I can mimic voices, like I do impressions, so because I can impersonate different voices, I can do the same with singing, it's just a different kind...singing." She shrugged before getting up. "Well, you wanna look around, see what they got?" She asked, as she brushed herself off, then looked at Daniel.
"I honestly have no idea, last time I went snooping around, curious, I went to places I wasn't supposed to go and got in trouble. I guess eating, sleeping, learning, and meeting new people is the only stuff to do around here, but I'm pretty sure I can find something to amuse myself with, after all, I'm easily amused." This was true, once, she spent 3 hours singing "The Song That Never Ends", almost got beaten up because the people in the apartments next to the alley she was in got mad.
