The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As Alex stopped at the bus stop and took another sip of his slushy drink, he started to consider maybe buying a loose white cotton button down shirt that had long sleeves so he could still hide the malachite bracers that were on his wrists, while keeping cool in a hot environment like this. The black leather jacket just wasn't going to cut it in this heat. He knew for a fact that the green T-shirt he was wearing was completely soaked from his sweat, but he had put on a whole bunch of deodorant that morning so there wasn't any smell.
As Alex waited, he started to notice a young woman with several bags of accessories in her hands call out to the kitten, trying to get it to come over to her in order to get it out of the parking lot. Alex was about to think nothing of it when he did a double take of her forehead. Everyone there was sweating to the point that they were soak, though he was sweating the most... but this woman wasn't sweating at all. Not a drop. Her skin wasn't red either... she was actually looking a little on the pale side. Now that was odd... almost as odd as a guy wearing a black leather jacket in 100 degree temperatures.
Alex's head wiped around when he heard the fanatic voice of another woman, and saw that she was calling out to her little girl, whom was making a B-line for the kitten and picked the small animal up in her arms. Not exactly a wise idea, since there was no telling if the kitten was carrying any harmful viruses, and it might scratch the little girl out of fear, but that wasn't what the mother was screaming about. A large heavy duty pickup truck had rounded a bend so fast that it had tipped slightly as it did so, and it was going down the parking lot road towards the child... and the driver wasn't paying attention because he was on the phone! From where the mother was, there was no way she was going to reach her child and pull her out of the way before the truck hit her. The woman that didn't sweat dropped her bags and was about to run out there to save the child as well, but there was no telling if there was enough time for her to save the child either.
However it didn't matter if there was enough time for either woman to react fast enough, for Alex had reacted instinctively and dropped his slushy, causing the blue liquid to go all over his new boots, as his cyan eyes started to glow a bright green. Alex's arms quickly reached towards the child and two rods of malachite shot out from under the leather jacket, ripping the sleeves to ribbons as they did since they were growing in size till the rods had the diameter of a base ball. The two rods combined as they shot towards the child, and glowed a greenish hue as they fused together so Alex had more control over the malachite. The combined rods quickly reached the child and opened up, forming into what looked like a bright green car seat, and swept the child off of her feet in a way that she fell back into the malachite chair, and a malachite harness grew out from the seat and wrapped around the child and the kitten as the rod retracted back towards Alex. He and pulled the child out of harm's way with several seconds to spare... and the driver didn't even seem to notice as his truck roared passed, still yapping away on his phone.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Alex slowly lowered the unharmed child onto the ground before the malachite harness retracted as well, and the malachite car seat retracted as well, leaving the child sitting on the ground next to Alex, but not in the puddle of blue slushy. Once the malachite rods were fully retracted, Alex glanced over at the speeding truck, lifted up his left arm so he could be looking at the bracer on that arm and at the truck's license plate at the same time... and an engraving of the truck's license plate appeared on the bracer. His eyes still glowing green, Alex knelt down to the girl to see if she was alright. "Sorry if I scared you. Are you alright?" he asked sweetly, and the cat only looked at him as if to say 'what they heck just happened?' Alex was so preoccupied with the child's safety that he didn't notice everyone around him running away, afraid of him because he was a mutant.
"Ugh... does it have to be so hot??" Alex groaned as he wiped the sweat from his brow with a damp cloth as he took a seat on a bench outside one of the many malls of New York City, and thankfully the bench was under the shade of a tree. He had just finished having lunch and was considering buying an ice cream as well, but he needed to sit down and take a breather. The temperature was over 100 degrees, and Alex felt like he was melting from the heat... and he was sweating so much he was soaked. He knew for a fact that he would be cooler if he removed his leather jacket, but he was currently wearing his malachite bracers on his lower arms and the leather jacket hid them from view. Anyone with a retail eye or an eye for jewels would know that the bright green bracers that went from Alex's elbows to his wrists were made from a solid piece of malachite, which was a gem stone.
Wiping his brow again, Alex squeezed the cloth once he was done mopping his brow, and a lot of sweat came out of the cloth. No wonder he was feeling thirsty and hot. Taking a sip of the slush puppy in his hand, Alex smiled slightly with relief before glancing around. The outside of the mall was rather active, despite it being so hot. Mothers with their children were moving quickly so their kids wouldn't get heat stroke, and several people looked red in the face from the heat... and every one of them were wearing shorts and short-sleeve shirts... which made Alex stick out since he was wearing pants and a black leather jacket... which was insane in this heat. Maybe I should consider turning my bracers into a belt when the temperature is this bad. I'll be able to leave the jacket behind then. Alex thought as he glanced around some more.
Taking another gulp of his slush-puppy, Alex heard a splat sound and glanced at his right shoulder... and saw that a bird that was in the tree had nailed his jacket on the right shoulder. With a groan, Alex stood up and started to walk towards the bus stop, hoping that the bus that would take him back to his motel would arrive soon. As he glanced around though, he noticed a stray cat running around the parking lot of the mall, and several cars were trying to avoid it... and Alex was starting to wonder if he should get it out of the parking lot and onto the grass where it wouldn't do as much harm.
Alex sat against the wall, his right leg extended out with his left leg bent in the middle so his knee was going off to the side, and his arms were crossed over his chest. He was inside of a box car that was attached to a freight train that was making its way to New York City. It was the middle of the night and the only sound that Alex could hear was the well oiled wheels that were under the floorboards, spinning constantly against the rails. It was actually a rather smooth trip, apart from a bump here and there. Despite that, Alex couldn't sleep, and it had been a day or two since he last slept. Still though, what happened a few days ago was really taking a toll on him. Alex opened his eyes and glanced around the box car he was in. There were a few homeless people also in the box car, all of them asleep. There was nothing else in the freight car. Good. Alex thought, not wanting those people to see tears on his face once he started to think about what happened during the past few months.
Alex was walking briskly though the hall of the motel he was staying in, heading towards the front desk so he could pay the bill to stay another week. The last few days had been hard on him. He had tried his hand at being an extra in a movie but had left when the director had been shot in the head by an anti-mutant activist, abruptly ending the movie filming and making the check in his pocket void, he tried to save a human that couldn't control the powers an M-drug pill gave him and nearly drowned as a result, he tried to fight off a gang in an alley the following night and nearly got crushed by a mutant made of bricks, and then got caught in a gun and mutant fight that had happened in a hospital that he was being treated in. Now all Alex wanted to do was to take a nap, but he had to pay that bill first before he could hit the sack. However as he made his way to the counter, the woman behind it pointed at someone that was in the corner of the lobby. "There's someone here to see you. I'm not sure who she is, but she's a bombshell. If shes here for you, I hope you enjoy yourself." the man stated, and the comment made Alex blush a little, but it also got him worried. Who would want to see him... and for that matter, who knew he was here at this motel? No one did! Still, Alex shrugged and turned to face the woman.
The moment he did, Alex felt like his heart stopped. There, on the left side of her neck, was a tattoo of a black Pegasus with red demon wings, holding a blue rose in its mouth. Alex had that same tattoo on his shoulder, and it was the emblem of his family. That meant only one thing... this woman was part of that family, and as far as Alex knew they all wanted him dead. "Uh oh..." Alex mumbled under his breath and was about to run out the door when the woman turned, revealing her face to him. "Alex! My little brother! We've been looking all over for you!" the woman exclaimed with a joyous smile before she took Alex by surprise by hugging him. "We've missed you so much!" She said into his ear as she held him tight, not allowing him to get away. Alex was completely stunned. He have expected her to pull out a knife or a gun and end his existence right then and there, but instead she was holding him tight with tears of joy pouring down her cheeks. "Uh... Erica... what are you..." Alex stuttered, unable to push away the sense of shock. "Alex, it's time for you to come home. Everyone misses you, and Mom has been fussing over it this whole time." Erica stated, which made Alex flinch and finally pulled away from his sister's arms.
"But... what I did... Dad..." Alex tried to say, but his sense of shock was making it almost impossible to talk. Erica responded by shaking her head. "First of all, everyone knows it was an accident. No one knows about the gifts that they have until they get into a situation in which that gift reveals itself. You didn't know about it, so how could you possibility control it? Second of all... is this what I think I'm hearing? You really think Dad is dead? Not even close! Dad's alive and is perfectly healthy. You missed every single vital organ and artery! It was only skin and muscle damage!" Erica stated with a warm smile... and that made Alex's legs buckle and he fell to his knees. "Alive? Dad's alive?" Alex exclaimed in surprise before he fainted into his sister's arms, who was able to catch him easily because of how strong she was. "Heh, you always were easily surprised Alex. Nice to know that you haven't changed." Erica stated before she started to drag him towards the door that leads outside. "I'll be taking him back home sir. Where is the rest of his things?" Erica stated and the man behind the counter nodded and held up the key to Alex's motel room.
Alex shook his head and looked back down at the floor. "If only I had left the day before then. None of this would've happened." Alex stated with a sigh before he started to doze off.
Hey guys! I have good news and bad news. The good news is that the operation went smoothly and I'm alright. The bad news is that I'm not gonna be coming back to this site. I have to be honest, I was always straining for ideas and what to type up since my knowledge of the X-men universe is... well, non-existent. I... uh... as much as I hate to say this, I have to give up. X-men just isn't my game. However if you still want to role play with me, I'll post a link in the advertising area of the site I've moved to that's more my speed. It will be easy to tell which person there is me... I used the same name.
Well people, so long. It's been fun, and sorry that I couldn't get myself to stay.
As Alex rushed at the gigantic brick man, he arched an eyebrow when the brick man's hands changed shape into what looked like a large hammer and shield. So, this gigantic walking wall of bricks was capable of changing the shape of his body, eh? This could be a little harder then Alex thought it might be. Then again... any fight could start off as easy and then turn out to be very tough. However, Alex wasn't backing down... he would just have to change the shape of his weapon into something that would have a better chance at getting passed a shield, something that could break through... or maybe he just needed to keep moving and use that big guy's own strength against him. Alex voted for the third choice, but he also chose to improvise.
When the hammer started to come down towards him, Alex suddenly stopped running and jumped backwards and turned around in mid-air to face the gangster that tired to sneak up behind him. The large hammer crashed into the ground and missed Alex, whom had grabbed the knife wielding gangster by the wrist with one hand and with the other hand he used his malachite saw sword to knock knife out of the guy's hand. A bash to the nose with the handle of the malachite saw sword later, and the knife wielding gangster kneeling on the ground in a daze, holding his nose as blood started to seep out. Alex had clearly broken the guy's nose.
Hearing the sound of brick grinding against asphalt and knew that it was the brick man lifting his hammer arm off the ground, Alex quickly pushed the gangster to the ground, gave him a kick to the right temple to knock him out, and then turned back around to face the brick man, whom was about to sweep his hammer arm at Alex's feet. Alex jumped backwards again and managed to avoid the attack... but the gangster that he had just knocked out wasn't so lucky and he got it. Alex couldn't help but wince when he heard he sound of the bricks hitting flesh, and the gangster that was on the ground was sent flying into the nearby wall and then crumpled to the ground, not moving. The brick man had just killed one of his fellow gangsters by mistake. Alex hadn't gotten out of that attack scot-free either, since chips of concrete or brick had broken off from either the road or the brick man and had managed to hit Alex's left forearm, leaving some rather bad gashes that started to leak fresh blood.
However, the brick man seemed to be unaffected by the turn of events and came at Alex again, this time with another swing from above. As he lifted his hammer, Alex glared at him coldly. Brick man had such an amazing gift... but what he used it for was unforgivable. That was it, Alex had enough. Before the brick man could bring the hammer down on Alex, the malachite manipulator aimed his saw sword at the brick man's face and the weapon suddenly extended at a very high speed, resulting in the whistling sound from the spinning spikes to grow louder. Seeing this, the brick man lifted his shield to protect his face... and the malachite weapon stuck the shield, cracking it. Alex quickly retracted the weapon before lashing out with another extending attack, this time at the brick man's left foot which was protected only by his boots. Alex's attack stuck home and left a large gash in the brick man's foot, and managed to tare a howl of pain from the brick man's lips as he fell onto his left knee since the damaged foot couldn't support his great weight anymore.
Now have a fraction of a second to spare, Alex glanced over his shoulder to see how Chelsey was doing before he turned back to the brick man and jumped to the right to avoid another hammer blow. This time however before the brick man could pull his hammer arm back to attack again, Alex jumped onto the hammer arm and ran up the brick man's arm, and swung his saw sword at the brick man's chest just as he jumped off of the brick man's shoulder to avoid getting hit by the shield. Alex's attack struck true, and left a large gash in the brick man's chest, though Alex didn't land on the ground properly and ended up twisting his right ankle.
The brick man couldn't handle Alex's last attack though, and started to crumble. Alex watched with amazement that once the brick man had finished crumbling that there was scrawny kid there, no older then 17, on his hands and knees on top of the pile of crumbled bricks. The kid had used his mutant powers to turn himself into a brick golem. Feeling exposed, the shrimp of a kid got off of the pile of bricks and ran for his life. Instead of watching the kid run away, Alex turned back to see if Chelsey was alright.
Alex found himself pinned down by the constant bombardment of energy balls and was having a hard time deflecting the energy balls. On the other side of the bridge, the purple woman was trying to get closer, and seemed to have some sort of tubes coming out of her, and seemed to be shouting something, though Alex had to listen hard to hear what she was staying. Was she telling him to hang in there, or the mutant that had lost control? Didn't really matter which one she was talking to, since it would fit both of them.
Alex took another step forwards, and began to shout at the man whom had lost control of his powers. "Hey pal! We need to get your powers under control! This is your gift for you to control, not for it to control you! I'll try to give you a hand in getting your powers under control, but you have to listen to me! Now, some powers are controlled simply by body movement! Try flexing some of your muscles or bending your limbs first!" Alex yelled as he crouched onto the ground so he had less surface area that needed to be protected by the shield. He then looked over at the woman with the tubes. "Ma'am! Try wrapping those tubes or tentacles of yours around yourself like a cocoon! That should allow you to get closer to help out!" Alex called out, hoping to give the woman some suggestions so she could get closer. He wasn't sure what he was doing, he was just trying to help.
As he was crouched there, Alex knew his shield was still too small to properly protect him. It had to be larger, but to make it larger he needed either a larger piece of malachite or he needed to make the shield thinner... and since there wasn't any other piece of malachite within 25 feet of him that he could sense, thinning the shield was the only choice. Alex slowly thinned the shield to half an inch and expanded the shield. Now it was large enough to protect him, however when the next energy ball hit Alex felt a crack form in the malachite shield. It was too thin! He quickly shank the shield back down to the first size and thickened it back up to an inch, then focused on sealing the crack in the shield. He was going to have to try 3/4th of an inch next...
Alex willingly let go of Ashton when the cop got up and headed towards the nurse. As the malachite manipulator got up using his good arm for support, his left arm and side were sore from jumping quickly like that. His injury was going to slow him down, that's for sure. However, this was the worst time possible to be nursing a wound. Ashton had just given him an order and Alex was going to follow it. "Be careful." Alex responded to the police officer as he headed towards the nurse as she pressed pillow case against her leg, but was being careful of a large fragment of glass that was in her hip.
"Sit... sit me down." the nurse said as Alex placed his good arm around the nurse's shoulder to support her. He slowly led her to the bed and gently sat her down, then quickly pushed the 'request nurse' button on the hospital bed. The nurse, whose name tag read Susana, pointed at a cabinet that had a pad lock on it. "Morphine bottle... and needle. My keys are right..." Susana started to say as she reached into her pocket, but panics when she can't find them. She then looks into the hallway to see the mutant with the paintbrush twirling her keys in his hands as he pranced down the hallway, using his paintbrush to decorate the wall on his right side with flowers... and strangely enough, when each painting was done, the painting seemed to turn into an actual flower that was growing out of the wall! For the moment, the mutant wasn't even aware of Ashton, even after the police officer said that the painting mutant was under arrest. "No..."
Alex quickly looked around the room and saw that on the floor were a few splinters of metal. He quickly picked up two of them with one hand, slid them both into the lock, and managed to pick the lock with one hand. Without stopping to admire his work, Alex flung open the cabinet doors and pulled out a capped needle and a bottle of morphine, and brought them back to the nurse. "Before you ask, I was a locksmith for at least three years. How much?" Alex stated as he sat down on the bed. The nurse replied by taking the bottle and needle, measured out the morphine, and injected herself with a very tiny amount. "That should help. Leave the glass in my leg. It's acting as a plug so my blood doesn't start pouring out." She stated and winced, then looked over at the mutant with a paint brush, whom had turned around and finally noticed Ashton.
"Oh! Hi there! You here to see my artwork? Okay! Here's a masterpiece! I call it 'hot time in the hallway!' Enjoy!" the mutant stated before painting one fireball in the center of the hallway with a bright red paint. The mutant then jumped back as the drawing erupted with flames that made it impossible for Ashton to follow the mutant or get a clear line of fire on him. It was so bright that Alex had to shield his eyes from the glare. "Ashton! There's a fire extinguisher two doors down to the left! I saw it when I was brought to this room!" Alex stated, then turned back to the nurse. "Who is this guy and how is he doing this??"
The nurse whimpered before answering. "My... my father. His mutation brings anything he paints into reality. He's mentally insane and thinks that the more people die from his paintings, the more beautiful it is. He's using my blood to fuel his paint brush." Susana said as the morphine started to kick in. Alex cursed under his breath and looked down the hall at the flames. He was in the middle of a disaster... all because he had tried to stop a robbery.
Alex had stayed quiet and listened to Chelsey as she replied to a couple of his statements and questions. She didn't give him an exact answer to why she was here again, those she did seem to think the idea of him working in a pottery shop was a cute one. However, when she asked if they were going over to his place or to hers while giving him a playful wink, he stiffened up as blush started to color his cheeks. It wasn't a light pink blush either, but a bright tomato red blush. Once again a person of the opposite gender had playfully flirted with Alex, and once again all Alex could do was stand there like an idiot and blush. He didn't have the slightest clue on how to react to the flirt. "Uh... I uh... didn't mean anything like that. I... eh... just meant we should leave this area." Alex stated as he started to stumble over his words.
However, the sounds of approaching footsteps pulled Alex back into the current situation and he quickly turned on his heel to face the sound of the footsteps, and there were five gang members approaching, and at least one of them was a mutant. They had returned far faster then Alex had expected, and he wasn't in the greatest of moods now. He had expected them to not know that the person they had tried to beat up was a rather attractive woman, and he didn't want to find out what they would do to her if they managed to get a hold of her if the two of them lost this fight.
Alex clenched his fists and snorted. He wasn't sure if Chelsey was ready for a fight, and against these odds going barehanded wasn't a good idea. Alex didn't have a choice, he was going to have to go all out for this one. Slowly opening his hands and relaxing, the blush on Alex's face faded as he slowly walked towards the gangsters. "I offered to mercy..." Alex started to say as he unzipped his leather jacket, his voice filled with authority and a power that would make anyone face him feel a shiver go up their spine. "I gave you a chance to go home unharmed. I gave you the option to end this peacefully without blood shed. Instead, you chose to push your luck and came back here, slaves to your own pride, to face us." Alex continued as he removed the leather jacket and tossed it aside. Strapped across his green short sleeve shirt was a long scabbard with a green handle sticking out of it. "Now, you have forced my hand." Alex finished as he grabbed onto the handle with his right hand and drew the malachite dagger Defiance from the scabbard.
Several of the gangsters laughed at what Alex stated, and the large one that looked like he had bricks for skin, took a couple steps towards Alex. "Mighty fine speech there Mr. Chivalry, but do you really think that little butter knife can get through all five of us? I'll squish you like a pea and put you in my soup!" the giant stated, to which the whole gang responded to with laughter. Alex said nothing as his eyes started to glow green, and the malachite dagger suddenly grew in size till it was a large claymore that was six feet long that was covered with spikes. The spikes then started to spin around the length of the blade at high speed, similar to that of the teeth of a chainsaw, so they made a whistling sound. "Last chance. Back off, and go home." Alex stated as a couple of the gangsters looked at each other, clearly having second thoughts.
The brick wall guy though, on the other hand, didn't back down. He was either really confident in his abilities, was too prideful to back down... or thought Alex was bluffing. "Bah! Come on shrimp! I'll grind you into paste!" He shouted and charged at Alex. Alex charged towards the brick wall mutant, chainsaw claymore in hand. Neither looked like they were gonna back down from this charge.
As Alex looked for a place to stand and watch the action sequence, he noticed that the green skin woman with snake like hair was making her way through the crowds with ease, thanks to her small size and the large white snake that was hissing rather threateningly at the people that got to close to the woman or the snake. At first Alex wondered if he could join her, but looked around a little more to see if there was another spot he could watch. He then noticed Streak had also found a place to watch, and he happened to be with the older man that called himself Elder and his granddaughter. After thinking about it for a moment, Alex went to join the snake woman, though once he had elbowed his way though the crowd he stayed a good foot away from her to give that white snake of hers a wide birth. "Mind if I join you?" Alex asked politely before turning to look down at the skate park.
As he looked down, he noticed that there were quite a few stunt doubles in the skate park area, all dressed up in what looked like a gang uniforms, complete with leather jackets with spikes on the shoulders, though most of them were carrying large rifles that Alex assumed were loaded with blanks... at least he hoped so. They were already in their positions for the scene, hiding behind several different cement ramps. The lead actress was also walking onto the filming set in the same set of clothes that she had on in the cafe, which made Alex wonder how come she didn't change costumes for this action sequence. Surely they weren't going to have her attempt to enter a fight while wearing a dress, were they?
Before Alex could voice his question, the producer shouted "Alright, remember that this is just a rehearsal for the combat part of this scene. We can't do the rest of it until the our lead actor gets back here. Alright, Action!" All of the stunt doubles rushed out of their hiding places and aimed their weapons at the lead actress. At first, she seemed worried, but then relaxed. "Well... most people says its a bad idea to bring a knife to a gun fight... however you guys have brought a gun to a mutant fight! Bad move! the lead actress stated before her entire body seemed to ignite with flames that shot off white sparks. Her clothes were quickly brunt away, revealing a flame proof body suit under her clothes that were mostly black in color with red trim around the waist. Alex recognized the type of fire right away. "Thermite. So that's how she cleaned off all of that slime so quickly. She burnt it off, along with all of the ruined clothes." Alex stated quietly as the lead actress acted like she was throwing a baseball, and launched a baseball sized fireball that had left a trail of white sparks and it flew through the air and exploded when it hit the ground near one of the stunt doubles. The stunt double that the thermite landed near seemed to be thrown into the air, but in reality he was just being lifted up into the air by a pulley and harness. Alex smiled and shook his head. "Huh, so that's what all of these safety lines are for..." Alex thought out loud, then shrugged. This was going to be one interesting movie...
