Character
Personality: Aadi has an outgoing personality. She might come across as a little snobby in her behaviors and responses, especially when she is getting frustrated with the english language. Taking some time to know her, she is quirky and fun. Aadi gets bored easily, and will look for ways to entertain herself. Others may find her a little clingy, as she likes hugging people and pecking them off the cheek. She's also out as a lesbian, and doesn't care who knows it.
Hobbies/ Interests: Video games, cooking, shopping and animals.
Job or part time job and description: She's a part-time waitress in a New York diner, to help pay for her schooling.
Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Aadi has a fear of heights...which isn't very good considering her mutation. She's dealt with this fear to an extent, and prolonged periods on the ceiling have eased the fear for small distances. If she's found stuck anywhere higher than a standard room ceiling, it's fairly certain she's in a panic.
Special talents: Fluent in french, and a phenomenal cook.
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral. Aadi knows it's a dog eat dog world, and while she will help someone right in front of her who needs it, she does believe in people standing up on their own two feet and won't go out of her way to do things for them. Especially if she thinks they're perfectly capable of doing it themselves.
Mutations: Gravitation
Mutation description: Aadi can control her own gravitational field, enabling her to walk along walls, float (it's really more of floating than flying, she can pick directions to float but won't go very fast), or even be stubbornly stuck in one spot if someone's trying to drag her somewhere. By expanding her gravitational field, she can affect a diameter of up to ten feet the same way.
Strengths: — Turn the room upside down! If the room's only ten feet wide.
— A feather can weigh the same as a fridge, and a television set that needs to be moved to a different room can be floated away.
— Also handy if she wants to scale walls, or avoid pitfalls.
Weaknesses: — The more drastic the gravity change, the more exertion it takes. She is also able to have much greater control when limiting the field to her own body, as opposed to trying to float people standing within her ten-foot limit.
— Trying to float more than three others (including herself) will result in all four of them crashing back to the ground five seconds later.
— If she's sick, stressed, or otherwise unwell, her mutation tends to 'go on the fritz'. In this case, it isn't unlikely to find her sulking on the ceiling unable to come back down for a good part of the day.
Secondary mutation description: N/A
Fighting Style: Disable
Explanation: It's a little hard to fight properly when you're floating upside-down in the middle of the room, is it? How about when your limbs weigh a ton each, can't stab me now can you? If all else fails, float you up, then drop you back down!
Pros for fighting style: Effective, and hard to shrug off once she's got you.
Cons for fighting style: She has to get within her ten-foot limit, which puts her at physical danger. Her control is also strained when it comes to disabling more than one enemy. If she's trying to drop someone from a height, she still can't move them farther than ten feet upwards, and is rather slow about getting them up there.

History Of Your Character
Aadi grew up in Montréal, Québec, in a french-speaking family. Her english was acquired through an english CEGEP, and various english friends in the bilingual city. Even before her mutation appeared, she was ostracized by her family for coming out to them as a lesbian. She's had a couple girlfriends in the past, but only brought the first one home: that ended disastrously, so she never did it again. Her family relations were strained, and probably the best moments home were spent in the company of her dogs.
Cooking went from a hobby to a chosen profession, Aadi taking the extra courses she needed in CEGEP so she could study out of the province. Family relations were to the point she didn't want to stay there anymore, and did everything she could to save up the money to study elsewhere.
Aadi was a late-bloomer: her mutation only became apparent shortly before her eighteenth birthday. She was walking down the steep stairs of her house when she missed one, and went falling down. Only she never hit the ground, suddenly finding herself floating upwards like a weightless balloon. It took two hours and a lot of screaming back and forth between her parents before she finally touched back down.
She wasn't kicked out, thankfully, but her family would have nothing to do with her. Finally at the age of twenty, CEGEP courses done and various scholarships under her belt, Aadi packed up her bags and moved to New York, where she had a scholarship with the International Culinary Center. She stayed on the student housing campus most of her free time, and is finally beginning to explore New York City. Now that she finally has her 'floating problem' somewhat under control.

Merde. When Aadi woke up and found herself suspended in the air above her bed (the only reason she wasn't hitting the ceiling was probably the weight of the bedsheets keeping her down), she swore colorfully in her head before straining to see where her roommate was. Still asleep and snoring, good. It wasn't like the other girl would have noticed much anyways if she had woken up, Aadi was only a foot off the bed (thank you for heavy bedsheets), and her roommate wasn't the most perceptive thing in the morning.
Huffing, Aadi threw the blankets off and squirmed around in the air for a moment before she fixed her little gravity problem. She dropped back onto the bed with an 'oof' and the loud creaking of cheap bedsprings.
"Nhhhng?" her roommate groaned. Aadi watched her until she rolled over and kept on snoring. Shaking her head, the french girl blew her bangs out of her face before swinging her legs out of bed and standing.
Or trying to. Her feet slipped right out from under her and then she was airborne again, steadily rising and spread out like an eagle. This was why she stopped wearing nightgowns: she had enough trouble not flashing people with skirts and dresses. Reaching out and straining for the bedpost, she stopped when the bed rattled, groaned, and started to shift upwards. Bad, bad, bad.
"
Envoye," she whispered to herself, giving an internal pep talk before reaching out again. Gravity goes
down!
Both she and the bed hit the floor, one with more of a bang than the other. Her roommate shot up in her bed, blinking blearily. "Aadi?" She groaned, fumbling for the light and turning it on. "Are you okay?"
"Yes...I am fine," Aadi groaned. Today was going to be a bad day.
