MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. The Italian was letting out a nice post-shower sigh as he wrapped a towel around his waist. He felt clean; he felt happy; he felt like he hadn't just spent the last few days as a testosterone-pumping dog-face living in a cage. That's when he heard the sound from his bedroom.
Happy feeling, gone.
He picked up the nearest available object for self defense, and snuck into the hallway. Quiet: ninja-like. Every ounce of stealth the young man had went into not making a sound as he drip, drip, dripped his way closer to that door. In one violent manly motion he turned the knob and threw the door open, bravely coming face-to-face with—
Unbuttoned Shirt Woman.
Kind of scary, scar covered, probably-in-a-biker-gang Unbuttoned Shirt Woman. The Italian's mouth opened, and words came out:
"Oh hi."
He still had a toilet plunger raised over his head like a club. He, ah, lowered that.
I was not in it at the time. Short and very loud story made even shorter: drunk driver hit my car with enough force to move it a good 20-30 feet, up a curb, into a tree, after using it as a battering ram to also take out the car behind it, and subsequently careened across the street to take out an additional car. All cars were parked except for the driver's, so no casualties, thankfully. (Though they're still looking for the driver, who really should have stayed around for his own health. Seriously. Even if you can walk away from that, it is the general opinion of the medical community that you shouldn't.)
As the first car hit, mine made for the most exciting pics. Poor Geo Prizm, you were too beautiful for this world.
Suffice it to say I'm going to be spending my free time car shopping for the next few days.

Speakin' as an oldie, the dream plots constantly amuse me, since it gives us a chance to turn our usual setting on its head for awhile without permanently changing everything (which is also really nice from the Mod perspective, as well). The Alice in Wonderland setting is much different than the other dreams we've run, so this is fun stuff. Personally, the shared "it's a dream" basis has never bothered me, since all the dreams themselves have been so very different.
Alas, I will probably be sitting this one out due to le free time, but I will follow the threads with great joy. <3
PS: White Rabbit running around the city and dropping people down holes == bonus <3<3<#. If people want to tie this to the Riots, this could also be someone who made a parallel world/dream to drop their own friends into to keep them safe during the Riots... but got stuck, or doesn't even know that the Riots are over yet, due to time moving differently. *tosses another idea in the mix*
