The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Unfortunately Streak only managed to hear her first quip. The wishbone it is. Streak thought as he moved the in and out of the fleeing people. By this time quite a number of people were already out of their way and had moved across the street to where some cops had stated to corral them back and keep them out of danger.
Streak managed to get a little bit of height when the car that he was standing on was suddenly launched into the air by the giant undercooked bird. It wasn't even trying to get him. He had enough time to look around and see what had gotten it's attention. It was Shin and Kealey, two other members of the X-men and he was glad that they were there. It would make things a little easier. But not much.
Shawn felt his direction change as the car started to fall back to the ground. "Ahhh! Freakin gravity." Streak shouted as he plummeted back towards the hard asphalt below him. Hopefully the car would take a bit of the impact. Finally coming back around to what he was supposed to be doing, instead of screaming like a little girl, he took a quick glance around the area and saw his friends, the girl that'd run into him, and a few others he'd either seen or hadn't seen before. Hitting the ground was definitely going to hurt. He didn't doubt that. What he did doubt was wether or not anymore of these buildings would be able to take the beating that they were getting from this bird. Mayhem was in full swing now and he was oddly enough enjoying it. Maybe there was something wrong with him.
Sara's warning came unheeded but it was pretty obvious what the guy was doing and how serious it could be. Did this guy have a purpose? Streak wondered. He didn't have time to come up with a supposed answer because just then the car hit the ground and threw him a good 20 feet from where he'd started. Streak picked himself up off the concrete and sprinted back at the monster. He blew past his two fellow X-men and picked up his sword on the way back to the giant turkey. The silvermancer seemed to pause for a second, and did a double take to realize that the girl that'd run into him was still in the area. "Gah! That girl didn't listen." He would have done more than just talk to himself but he had to focus on the bigger problem. And at the moment the bigger problem was the giant butterball terrorizing the city. What could they do? They didn't have anything big enough or at the moment powerful enough to take care of it.
Streak left it alone and focused on the smaller minion aviaries that were doing the lesser damage. Sure they were smaller but they were still doing damage and they had to be stopped also. He'd save the big guy for last. Streak then turned to one of the sidewalks and started to battle a couple of minions that were destroying their way through one of the many book stores on the street.

Streak was still amazed that there was a ginat butterball turkey terrorizing the city. Will the wonders never cease? Streak was suddenly brought back to the fact that he was still standing in the middle of the road looking at the bird when he was run into. The girl was a litttle younger than him but he had no intention of sticking around to find her nae out; however, if this didn't take to long he might try to find her to make sure she was safe from the attack. After all she did look freaked out. Her suggestion was sensible, he thought as he got up from being knock over by the charging girl. But when did he ever do the sensible thing.
"You run and hide. I'm going to take care of this." Shawn said as he covered himself in his silver once he was he was completely upright. HIs silver skin glimmered occasionally i the sun, whenever the giant undercooked turkey wasn't blotting it out. "It's my job." He said simply as he walked past her. With one last glance he ran off towards the turkey. He may never see her again but he still hoped she'd be safe and not do something stupid like he was doing. Although, for all he knew she may be the one person to save the day but there was no telling.
As he ran the silvermancer found one person that he knew would be able to help. A certain feline mutant running in the same direction. Streak called to her. "Hey Werecat. First one to find the gizzard wins!" You had to make this fun otherwise you just looked insane.
He was off her left side as a miny zombie turkey came at him. A sword would do fine. Shawn figured. A simple sword that he'd used pre-powerloss appeared from his silver as he thought of it. Streak sliced at the mini butterball down in one swift strike. The sword cut right through the dead meat and bones and the featherless lump of meat fell tot he ground without as much as a gobble.

Well another year had come and gone. This time it was his turn to buy the food for the mansion for the Thanksgiving day feasts. Yes, feasts. He'd found that at the mansion, especially around holidays, there was always food to be had and great food to be cooked. It was almost like fifty more people always showed up at the mansion that didn't usually live there. And of course... they could all cook. Nevertheless there was always plenty to eat around the holidays and plenty of people to get to know.
As it was he was loaded down with food in all different shapes and packages. All different sized bags were with him too making his cart almost overflow with the amount of food that he would be taking home. He felt it before he saw or heard it. The ground shook and Streak wondered if it was possible for New York to get an earthquake. He'd lived here for many years and had never experienced one. The only possibility was that someone was creating this. Shawn then saw the giant turkey coming down the street and he could already hear the police sirens wailing in the distance as he was sure that they were getting flooded with phone calls of a giant butterball turkey walking down the street.
Well I guess that explains why they didn't have any turkey's in the store. They're all about to squash us. Streak put the food in the van that he'd borrowed from someone at the mansion, because lets face it there was no way all this food was going to fit in his car, and moved the van into an alley to get it out of the way. Streak then returned to the street and watched as the advancing Turk-zilla smashed cars and people raced past him screaming like the idiots most of them were.
All in all he was still thankful. He was back at the mansion, he had his powers back, and he was about to engage in a battle with a giant turkey. What more could he ask for... except for maybe some backup right about now.

Streak was wandering around the mansion grounds. It was a nice day out and he basically had the day off. There were many days when he was off but this was one of them. As he wandered and enjoyed the day he noticed that a car had pulled up in front of the mansion. It'd been a while since he'd given anyone a tour so why not go for it.
As he made his way down to the gate he saw the two saying their goodbyes. He couldn't tell how old either of them were from the distance but it sure looked like it might have been the girls mother that was dropping her off. He didn't end up arriving at the gate until the lady had gone, leaving the girl to be alone outside the gates. Let's see if I still got this whole touring thing down. he thought as he smiled and mentally prepared himself for the tour.
"Hi there." He opened the gate as he said this. "My names Shawn, and I'm here to give you a tour of the mansion. What's your name?" Right now he couldn't help but mentally kick himself for how much he sounded like he was reading or memorized a bunch of cue cards and was reciting them for her. Well he was out of practice, maybe he just needed to knock the rust off.

Phase darted away from him and Streak had to hurry to catch up to her. Once he had he started to explain. "Ya you can. It's kind of rarre though because it usually happens to people that've gone thorugh hard trials or some traumatic event." He really didn't want to get into the whole details of how he lost his powers but he was mainly enjoying his powers at the moment. Streak settled into his pace as he explained all this to Phase.
He looked around as they ran, and kept a lookout for any incoming orbs. They had already taken two orbs out and that left about two or three more that still needed to be taken care of. "It usually takes a while to get your powers back if you lose them for one reason or another. And believe me you don't know what you have until you don't have it for a while."
Maybe she would be able to understand what he was talking about. Maybe she would have a similar experience, probably not with her powers but perhaps it was with something else. She didn't need to share, it wasn't necessary and Streak wasn't really asking. Not to mention it'd probably be pretty hard to covey anything while they were running because he figured she'd have trouble writing while they ran. Unless she was actually able to talk and he didn't know it yet.
Just as he finished his little story a few orbs seemed to have found them and darted right over their heads. "Look out." Streak exclaimed ducking his head and putting his hand on Phase's head to try and get her to duck a little. If he had more control over his powers then it would be game over for these orbs. Unfortunately that isn't the case, so it'll take a little longer than it would have in the past.

Streak kept looking around for Phase. It didn't appear to take very long because she started running towards him. He wasn't sure why she was running at him but maybe she saw something that he didn't. He looked around for an orb to be pretty close to him but didn't see one. It was then that he realized that he didn't explain what his powers were, even though he wasn't expecting to have access to them. Maybe she was thinking he thought he looked nothing like them.
First of all he was human and the orbs were... well... orbs. He was about to move when she seemed to disappeared. Now he was officially confused. He didn't bother to ask her what her powers were before they started but he still didn't really think it would matter. Then he saw her again past the clearing and running into a tree. Streak walked over to her smiling. "You ok? You ran into that tree pretty hard. He was trying not to laugh as the tree fell over.
There wasn't much time for them to hang around though because the orbs started heading towards them. Streak concentrated really hard and his silver started to leak off his hands only this time it formed into a knife. It felt good to have his powers back and he was glad that he was getting control of it again so much faster. Streak took the formed knife and threw it at the incoming orb. The knife sailed straight into the orb and stuck it into the closest tree. "We should probably get moving. Man it's great to have my powers back."

Streak didn't hear any sounds owing from a certain direction because he was busy with his orbs. It was getting difficult to control the rest of his silver that was leaking out by now... but he was managing. He thought he heard something like maybe a person, or an orb, hitting the ground but he couldn't tell. Streak looked around to see something but there was nothing to see. No smoke, no cry of pain, no person getting off the ground. There was no nothing.
By this time the silver had managed to crawl its way to the covering his entire torso and his lower extremities. This is definitely getting easier to control. He thought to himself. There wasn't much that he had to do now to focus on the silver. It was kind of doing it all by itself, just like it used to. The silver always did seem to have a mind of its own and he was never really bothered by that. It always seemed to help him.
The ill mannered feelings he had towards his powers were quickly supplanted with the relief that he was on his way to getting them back. Now it was only his face that needed to be covered. The silvermancer quickly covered his face and he was back to being his good old Silver Streak self. These orbs wouldn't know what hit them.
Streak couldn't help but laugh a little. He was over joyed with the fact that he was finally getting his powers back. The mutant took the opportunity to run and get away from all of the orbs that were surrounding him. A few tied to follow but they lost him, or simply disappeared after just a little bit of pursuit. Streak ran past a downed orb and wondered if that was where Phase had been. Speaking of which... he stopped for a second next to the downed orb, where'd she go? Streak looked behind a couple of trees but didn't see her. Maybe she was just really good at hiding. One thing was for certain. His silver didn't really hid him very well in this senario.

The training started early the next day. This training was something that he didn't expect to have trouble with. If Streak thought he was in good shape then he was sorely mistaken. These monks were certainly well trained. Streak put his whole self into the training. Being solely focused on his training was good for his head. The silvermancer seemed to be clearing away any thoughts that might have been used to focu on other priorities. Now that he was there there were no other priorities other than finding his center; at least according to the monks.
After about a week or so Streak settled into a routine. Wake early in the morning, and do some chores. Then spend about three hours or so in silent meditation. The monks told him that the whole purpose of that was to get in touch with with his inner self and allow himself to focus on his true desires. Many of them seemed to be able to do this without much trouble; however, Streak was a little more impatient than them and would often get frustrated with himself and storm out of the meditation area. He was certain that this wasn't helping the other monks wither but he couldn't help it. Short from screaming there wasn't much that he could do to let himself focus more.
So it was that one day an elder monk came up to him after his stemming and fuming and talked to him. This is what he said. "Shawnson, you must learn to manage your fears and awaken your heart." They often spoke in riddles like this and Streak was about to interject that he didn't have any fears when the monk held up his hand for him to be silent. And so Shawn allowed him to speak. "Most mutants that come here don't know what they want or what they are looking for. WE help them with that. You on the other hand aleardy know what you want, or at least you think you do." They had started walking into one of the many gardens as this talk was going on. "YOu must get rid of the notion of what you think is the reason for you bing here. You must believe that you are here for a purpose much bigger and more complex than just a loss of focus."
Streak wasn't sure what this guy was talking about Maybe it was just one of the normal ramblings that he had to endure while he was here. The monk seemed to notice this and smaked him in the back of the head...Hard.Streak rubbed the spot where the monk had hit him and the monk continued speaking as if nothing had happened. "You say you are here to regain your powers. But your powers haven't been lost. Look at your eyes are they not still silver? Then they are still with you. YOU must learn how to reteach yourself and to let yourself be in control of you instead of you trying to be in control of yourself." It was at this point that the monk officially lost Streak. How could you let yourself be in control of you without you bing in control of yourself. It didn't make any sense.
The monk then sentenced Shawn to doing some extra meditation. They said that without this he would never learn what he was truly there to learn. Days past and Streak spent the entire time meditating. The only time he wouldn't would be when it was meal time or chore time. Other than that he could be found in a meditation area alone. in ally he was starting to get the hang of being all by himself. It wouldn't take long before he was getting more in tune with himself. Or at least the monks thought so. Him on the other hand he didn't seem to notice a difference. But he was feeling confient that it would't be long before he would be allowed to start a new part of his training.

Streak had just enough time to finish explaining the simulation before one of the orbs took the opportunity to sneak up behind Phase and shock her. He figured that it was probably more the surpsie than the actual shock that got her. But her reaction was still funny to look at. It didn't take long for the orbs to get their original speed back up and start zipping around. They went in and out of trees and above the tree line. Streak waited for Pahse to run before he made a break for it.
It didn't take long for her to do that. One shock was all it took for her to get the idea and to run. The orb that had shocked her locked onto Streak's signal and headed directly for him. He went straight Matrix on it and bent backwards as the orb flew right over him. The mutant didn't stay around for it to turn around and hit him in the back. There was something about running around, and being chased that just got Streak all happy. Maybe it was the fact that he'd always enjoyed the chases when he had his powers and this led to the thought that maybe he'd be getting them back a little. A little was better than nothing right now and nothing was what he had.
The silvermancer dove behind a tree just as one of the orbs smashed into the tree directly in front of him. They weren't that smart they were just fast. "Phase you can use your powers if you want." Streak called out to her. Since she'd ran off he didn't know where she was. This was probably not the best idea because he was just going to attract more orbs toward him by shouting. However, he didn't know what Phase's powers were so it would be interesting to see what she would be able to do in a situation like this.
His shouting turnout out to be a really bad idea. When he looked in front of him he was confronted with four orbs. All of them were surrounding him and he was going to be in a lot of trouble if he didn't get her powers reactivated soon. "Let's go." Streak said to the orbs. There really wasn't much he could do except hope to dodge them all. As if in unison they all attacked. He managed to dodge one. The rest seemed smarter and caught him. The sudden shock from all of them at once seemed to help him a little. One hit his back, the second hit his tattoo, and the thrid hit him in the back of the head. It also hurt a lot. He hadn't been in this much pain in quite a while. The good news was that he also felt his tattoo throbbing and leaking.
Leaking was a good thing. It always felt like his tattoo was leaking when he was accessing his powers. Streak knelt down as the orbs moved off and went in their separate directions for a new target to attack. The silvermancer focused and flet the leaking being controlled. Maybe a jolt was just what he needed. So far he'd gotten the silver to cover his arm. It almost dripped off like blood or sweat does but he managed to get it into it's normal state. This was going to be a good session.
