The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Ya you can put them over by the stairs. They won't go anywhere while were in the simulation." Streak said to her. Girls. I don't think I'll ever understand them. Always worried about shoes. He thought to himself as he waited for her to return without her shoes.
He was getting little impatient with waiting. Streak really wanted to do this simulation. He hadn't done one since before the occurrence and he was itching to try and get his powers back. Again, what good is a head of security at a mutant school and an X-men if he doesn't even have powers that he can use. He might as well be working at the mall as a local rent a cop. Even though he'd done his training with the police force he still didn't feel comfortable working with them. Shawn knew that there was a mutant division there but he was still skeptical about them.
Once she returned he said, "Ok, let's start. The idea of this is to not get caught and to destroy the orbs. They'll be able to find you whether you use your powers or you don't. It's more like they can sense the gene. If they catch you, you'll just get a little shock of electricity. Nothing super painful, more like a when you touch something metal in the cold whether and you get shocked from the static electricity." The trees started moving again and the breeze picked up. The simulated birds and other animals started to move around now and the only thing that was left to start back up was the orbs themselves. It wouldn't be long before they started to move also.

Streak read the note that she held up for him. He didn't know that she couldn't talk. It would definitely make this conversation a little one sided; but at least she had something to write on. "It's fine... you're not the first person to wander into this place. It's called the Danger Room. Basically it's a very high tech simulator and can be programmed with basically anything."
He remembered the first time he'd come into the Danger Room. It was a very different experience than one that he was putting himself through now. "It's nice to meet you Phase. I didn't realize you were here or I wouldn't have started it right away." He looked around at the elaborate hologram that he'd come up with. It didn't take to much for him to create because he'd created this simulation a while ago for a group of X-men trials.
"This simulation is actually pretty basic. It's obviously a jungle; however, the trick to this is that there are a few orbs that seek out only mutants. These things wont hurt you, unless you're just clumsy. You want to stick around and try it out?" Streak explained what was going on in the room. He thought that she might like to know if she decided that she wanted to participate.

Streak had just dodged the first orb when he noticed that someone else had come into the Danger Room. He hadn't seen her when she walked in, otherwise he wouldn't have started it before he got a chance to explain it to her. Streak walked over to the girl, that was now cowering behind a tree. "Pause program." Streak said to the computer. Suddenly everything was moving seemed to stop.
"Sorry about that. I didn't realize you were in here. I'm Shawn." He didn't know this girl. She was definitely younger than him though and he figured that she was probably someone that either came here while he was out or had just arrived. The trees continued to move in the simulated wind. Even though he'd paused the simulation the only thing that really paused was the actual danger.
The silvermancer seemed unaware of the birds chirping and the all around outdoor feel that the room had created all to realistically. He'd spent so much free time in the Danger Room creating and thinking up new simulations for other mutants to train with. There were to many mutants to think up scenarios for every one but he did his best to come up with a great number of varieties.

The doors parted enough to allow Streak to pass through. The outside wasn't much to look at, probably because it was a really difficult place to get to. But the inside was a completely different story. Inside there were about 15 to 20 monks all bald and all wearing the customary orange robes training in this and that. Most of it was carved out of the stone from local rocks and from the surrounding mountains. Streak was in awe of the intricate paintings, carvings, and sculptures that were placed around the sanctuary.
The colors were more vibrant than any he'd seen in his entire life in the United States. The greens looked like they were straight from gems and carved into their current looks. And that was just the entrance ways. Once inside it was lavish and beyond anything he could describe. Luckily he managed to find a monk that spoke some English. Streak didn't need it all the time because he had picked up a little while ago. There was some commotion, or as much commotion that could be made from a bunch of monks that didn't speak much, could make.
He was the center of attention for at least a few days. He was glad when the newness of him being there wore off. Streak wasn't there to be the center of attention. He was there to focus and to learn. His first day there he met with the head monk. "What is the reason for coming here?" The head monk asked. There was a pause as Streak took the time to translate what he'd said into some semblance of recognizable language for him. He then responded, "I've come here to focus. I am a mutant and I have lost my powers." Streak figured that if they were going to kick him out he might as well have a good reason for being kicked out. So he wasn't holding anything back. "I'm hoping that by learning your customs and technique's for concentration. I know you are the best at what you do. Can you help?"
The monk seemed taken aback by some of the things that Streak had said. Maybe he hadn't quite said them in the right way but he was pretty sure that most of what he'd said was right. Finally the monk nodded and smiled. He was probably the first person to ever see a monk smile. "Then you shall have your training." Was all the monk said. After his meeting another monk came around and had Streak gather his things. There weren't many things for him to gather but he gathered them nonetheless. It would be the last time Streak would see the head monk, or his personal belongings, for a while.

Streak listened to Sam's answers. "True we weren't focused on breaking laws back then but that was more because we were already breaking the laws just by being there. We did get the law changed though so in the end it turned out to be a good thing." Through Streak had to admit... Sam did make good points.
Once they had a team stationed there it wouldn't be that hard to get any laws that didn't treat mutants fairly changed. It would take some work but they would still be able t do it, especially if they were backed by an established and recognized organization like the X-men. As it stood right now they were able to get around the world within hours of any notification with the jet.
He knew that emotions triggered their mutations. It seemed to work that way with a good majority of the mutants he'd had an encounter with over his lifetime. He just didn't know why this was happening. The only thing that he'd done was get captured, although now that he thought about it, Lori did try to fix him with her powers. "Maybe i just need a jolt of something to help trigger it again. Something that I doubt I'll get from just being a security guard around here. No one's going to challenge me here, and that's a good thing, but if I want my powers back I'm obviously going to have to do something big." He didn't quite know what he would have to do but he was sure that something was going to have to happen for him to really get this all taken care of.
(OOC: sorry t took so long I've finally gotten everything set up with college)

The plane ride was uneventful, thank God. The stewardesses were friendly and attentive…a few were cute too. The first class seat that he was sitting in was reclined nearly as far back as it could go. There was no one behind him so it didn’t matter what he did. The first class section seemed kind of empty strangely enough and even though he worried about it at first, a few drink later and he didn’t seem to care as much. He’d been in the air for about 10 hours now and most of the people were asleep. He really wished he could sleep, no matter what he tried he couldn’t seem to do it. The giant 747 engines droned on as they made their way towards China. He took the time to start studying the language. Rosetta Stone… probably the best thing since sliced bread. Streak thought as he went through the courses. Unfortunately there were so many different languages in China that he hoped he was learning the right one. It was hard, very hard. If there was one thing he wasn’t good at it was foreign languages. OK so two things… math and foreign languages.
Finally the flight started to descend. Once on the ground he went through the international flight line, through security, and grabbed his bag. He’d packed light even though he was planning on being there a while. First thing he was going to do was sight see. Beijing was an incredible place…filled with smog and people, but an incredible place nonetheless. Much of it seemed like New York only in a different language. He had the hardest time figuring out where he was going to be going the first time. The Great Wall of China obviously but while he was in the city was a different story. First thing Streak decided to do was check into a hotel. It was a pretty nice hotel but he wasn’t here for vacation, he was here on personal business. Streak spent the first couple of nights working off the jetlag and getting more familiar with the language.
His third day in China, Streak set out to sight see. It would probably be the only time he would get to. After that it was down to business. In about two days time he toured the entire of China. He’d gone from the Great Wall in the north to its southern most border near Vietnam and Laos. The country was amazing, full of history and absolutely nothing like America. It was definitely a new experience and one that he’ll never forget. Now it was time to get down to business. Streak spent the better part of two days looking for the place he’d be spending his time. He’d also gone from poor to fair with his Chinese. On his third day of camping and hiking he found himself nearing the top of a mountain. This place was rumored to have been the where many monks had first been trained. He figured if anyone could help him then it would be the monks. Streak finally arrived at the top of the mountain. It was probably the most beautiful place he’d ever been to. The door was giant and filled had intricate designs on it. Other than that there was no telling where or how the door opened. It must only open from the inside. Streak figured. He pulled on the cord that rang a bell that was next to the door. He waited quite some time before any answer was received. It was either a big place or there was no one around. ”Can I help you?” A little bald man answered the door. He spoke in Chinese and Streak took a second to register what he was saying. Streak then answered back, ”I’m here to study the Monk of the Shaolin way.”
OK so his Chinese still wasn’t that great but it was getting better. The little monk stared at him for a second chuckled, (do monks chuckle?) and opened the door a crack to get a better look at Streak. The monk had one hell of a poker face that much was true. Whether he figured Streak was just a guy trying to get in or if he was serious the monk seemed unsure. But he let him enter anyways.

Apparently Sam didn’t know about Streak not having his powers. So he explained, ”Well, even since I was kidnapped I haven’t been able to access my powers. I’ve tried but nothing seems to be working. I think there may be something blocking my powers from activating. And I figured that the door wouldn’t open because I didn't have my powers active. Although the fact that it did open seems to indicate that I still have them, I just need to figure out how to activate them again.” Streak wasn’t comfortable discussing this part but since he didn’t really have anyone else to talk to he figured Sam might be able to help out.
Streak knew about some of the changes. He knew that Shin was a greeter and he’d seen the pile of paperwork on Sam’s desk. The last time he’d seen Ghost had been at her wedding day in the Danger Room and the fact that Sam needed an assistant to keep up with all the paperwork didn’t surprise him. The two of them were swamped back when Streak was here and once he’d gone he doubted that the workload had decreased at all. It was true, Shawn did miss the greetings and the sheer overpower nature that people often had when they were coming to the mansion. Mostly seemed to come here for the same reason but even he found that to be a bit monotonous. And that was probably why he took the security job… to keep things interesting.
The silvermancer took a long swig from his beer as he listened to Sam talk about all he’d been up to. They’d both been on different tracks in their lives. Streak’s just seemed to be a little more introspective and a little less X-men like since he’d been gone. ”I’m too paranoid for calm before the storm man, you should know that. I prefer the storm and the aftermath. It’s much more interesting and it always seems to prove that I’m right.” he said with a little smirk. Sam had a good point. They’d made some serious strides in all the aftermath that had occurred. Most of them were even positive and still in place. He’d met Jorge before and he’d even gone through the NYPD academy, short version for mutants. ”The only problem with setting up bases, or whatever you want to call them, in other countries is that things tend to get diluted. And foreign laws are different from here. We both remember Romania… and what flies here may not work here. It’s doable, don’t get me wrong, I just think it’s going to take more work than you expect. But I do like the idea of expanding. It’ll just have to be tightly controlled.”
He took another gulp of his beer and almost choked when Sam ask his last question. It was the million dollar question. One that he knew would come up but he still wasn’t ready for it. He took another drink to calm himself down before explaining where he’d been. ”Well, like I said… after I got kidnapped and couldn’t get my powers to work I freaked out a bit. I mean, wouldn’t you? You’ve been a mutant, and a pretty powerful one at that, most of your life and then out of the blue… BAM, you’re human again. It’s disturbing to say the least. The only comfort I have to know that I haven’t completely lost my powers is that my eyes are still silver and I still bleed silver. That just tells me that I can’t access them. So I went on a little trip. I took a trip to China…not as much fun as you might think. I managed to get in touch with some monks out there and studied quite a few things. Kung fu, Tae Chi, Buddhism surprisingly enough didn’t make me any less paranoid. I’ll be honest the Tae Chi wasn’t as much fun as the Kung Fu was.” Streak took a pause and took another sip before continuing.
”I’ve learned quite a bit but even all that time away didn’t help me figure out what was wrong with me. I think I’ll have to track down that electric chick who tried to help me. That should be fun.” Streak said. He wasn’t sure if Sam would have any other questions but he was sure that he could answer them if he did.

Streak walked in and waited for Joe to enter as Gina decided to dash past him and to what she thought was her wallet. Shawn leaned back a little to avoid getting smacked by her tail as she passed by. Streak decided it was probably best to get some information out of Joe, without pushing too hard that is. He closed the door once all three had entered. ”Kids…” Streak said rolling his eyes at Gina’s eagerness. ”So Joe… I take it that this is your first time visiting our mansion, right?” Streak asked the man. Anyone else that had visited the mansion would have known better than to try and climb over.
Even though they were now out of the spotlights Shawn’s silver eyes were still visible even in the dim light of the mansion’s hallway. This time of night there was really only some ambient light that shown through the windows and the stray lamp that was left on here and there. Most of the kids had gone to sleep, or had at least retreated to their rooms. There really wasn’t a curfew but there always seemed to be an unwritten understanding of what time everyone should start to be quieter.

This come back to the site makes me feel compelled to have a new Avatar and Sig. Could someone please set me up with something? I use Sean Faris for Streak. I'm not picky with what it looks like as long as his eyes are silver.
I also wouldn't mind having a new set for Teddy. I use Cody Sprouse for that one. Please and Thank you! ;D

(OOC: you accidently double posted man)
Streak was glad that Sam was there. There’d been a lot of changes since he left. They’d both seemingly been through a lot since he was gone and Streak was eager to hear about it all. ”I don’t think I could ever forget where this place was. But I do have to be honest… I wasn’t sure it would open for me anymore.” Streak wasn’t aware if Sam knew about his loss of powers. He was going to tell him about it but that would be saved for a little later. Streak was glad to be back in their… What was it? A man cave? A fort? A hideout? What? Well, whatever it was it was probably one of the coolest things in existence.
Shawn took the beer that Sam offered him and sat down in the opposite recliner. This was probably the most comfortable place in the entire mansion. ”Thanks.” Streak opened the beer and smelled it. A nice dark beer with a very woodsy taste. Perfect for him. ”Man I haven’t been in here in forever it seems. But nothing’s changed.” He said looking around the room for a second or two. ”I’ve missed this place.” He really needed to come in here more often now that he was back. And apparently so did Sam, judging by his whistle from when he first entered the room.
”Since when has anything we’ve done, aside from missions, been ‘formal’?” Streak took a sip of his beer. It was good and cold. He guessed it was his turn to start so he cleared his throat and said, ”I’ve been trying to figure some stuff out. You know… personal stuff.” Streak admitted. There wasn’t much that the two of them didn’t know about each other and he was glad that this time was no different. ”I’m back now. So I’m really curious as to what’s changed around here from the last time I was here? I haven’t seen too many people I recognize around here. What’s happening with the team? Any missions coming up?” Streak was really curious and was confident that Sam was moving things in the right direction.

Streak smiled. He didn't have to tell anyone anything. It was amusing in and of itself to catch kids. She was right. She did have wings and it would've been easier to fly off than to order pizza and just not come back after walking out the front gate to get it from the delivery guy. "Well, I suppose Miss Quinn didn't say that you couldn't have pizza. Well come on let's get inside." He wasn't going to deny her the pizza and for now this guy was smart enough to not say anything.
The silvermancer then turned to the idiot who decided to climb the wall and said, "You do know that there's a door bell by the gate right?” He pointed his thumb back in the direction of the gate as he said it. Streak didn’t really care what the dudes answer was. He wasn’t mad at him, and his tone was not accusatory. He tried to be as nonthreatening as possible, though he wasn’t sure how well that was working considering the entrance that he made. These two had just better be glad that some of the other security measure weren’t on at the time.
”Well come on…inside. You too…Joe. If you want to get paid, that is.” Streak said trying to usher them inside. He was determined to get Gina inside before Miss Quinn grounded him.

(Ooc: I feel compelled to bring the security measures up in this situation. Hope y'all don't mind)
This was Streak's first time back on duty since he'd returned and had his little meeting with Sam. He was ready and rearing to go. His security checks had been completed early and now he was ready to just chill and read his book. It was a good one. It had to do with pirates and battles. Old shook stuff. How come people don't carry swords anymore? They're so cool. Streak thought as he read. Just then his alarms started to go off. "Now what have we go here? Some idiot on a dare? Nope he's carrying something." Streak zoomed in and noticed it was a pizza box.
The silvermancer hit the lights. The spot lights flooded the grounds with light. He was out the door in a flash and headed down to the gate. He arrived just in time to see one of the students... Who he thought was named Gina or Geene... Something like that. He'd read her file along with quite a few others not to long ago. It always helped to know the students you were protecting. The girl was inviting the man in.
Streak got a good view of the mans name tag, Joe, thanks to the lights and made sure he was visible to them. He also knew that Gina was grounded and was making sure that she wasn't leaving. "Not leaving are you Gina?" Streak said making his voice and presence known.

Streak hadn’t been in his office in quite some time. It’d been since before he lost his powers in fact. He’d been spending a lot of time in the Danger Room trying to get his powers back up but so far he hadn’t gotten jack-squat, except for maybe a few scratches here and there. There was something about being in his office that seemed to fit, seemed to make him feel better. What it was he didn’t know, but he was more comfortable in his office even with all the paperwork that was still piled up on his desk. He opened the door and walked in. Not much had changed since he’d been in there but it was good to be back.
The silvermancer walked in and closed the door behind him. Streak walked around his desk, taking in the familiar feelings and smells that were in the office. His hands ran over the desk and he shuffled through some of the drawers, just to make sure everything was still there. He sat in his chair for a minute before he had an idea. ”I wonder if it’s still here and working?” He said to himself. Streak got up and walked over to the wall. It’d been a while since he’d been in there but if the place was still there he would be one of the only ones to find it.
It didn’t matter if others used the office if they didn’t know it was there then they never would. He didn’t even know if it would work considering the fact that when he and Sam had made the place he had his powers. Now that they weren’t functioning it was a 50-50 shot. He put his hand on the wall; if someone looked in at this moment they would think that he was delusional feeling the wall, however, that wasn’t the case. In fact he was surprised that it worked. The wall gave a shudder and opened for him. Streak walked down the short, hidden hallway, and into their room. Man cave, might have been an appropriate word for this place. But it was also more than that. it was a place they could live if they needed. It was a place they could party if they wanted. And it was also a place to get almost everywhere within seconds. Streak smiled. He walked farther in and examined the room. It was the exact same as when he’d left it. Nothing had changed and he was glad of that. Streak decided he’d wait here for a bit. Sam was supposed to meet him anyways and so he made himself comfortable while he waited.
