The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“I know, Agnes. I know. I just know that it would take something big to get him to leave the mansion it has me a bit on edge.” He really didn’t mean to hurt her feelings, he just thought he might get more out of her with a firmer tone he could tell he went too far the moment the words hit her.
Aedus smirked at the look of surprise on Agnes’s face, and he wondered if Chase was trying to put her on tilt or not. He was pretty sure the boy knew they were not dating. Or maybe he didn’t… either way he had brought his game together even covering for hiding behind the couch. Or maybe he had just underestimated the kiddo.
“That is fantastic.” He turned to the living room with his mouth a bit ajar, the hurt on her face is what really did it, the mere suggestion that he might care more than she did, wounded her. Aedus dropped his voice. “Agnes could you do me a favor and say that a bit louder. I think Killian should hear it.” He winked at her hoping it would explain everything it needed to. It was one thing to protect the boy from terrible parents, it was another to keep him from someone who could help him more thoroughly then he could. Sure, he could give the kid a place to stay, but he was pretty sure that he needed more than a big brother.
Aedus listened to Agnes repeat what She had just told him in a louder voice. He answered in the same volume she adopted that would allow the boy to hear with ease. “That sounds amazing, if he agrees to go, could I come along just to be there for him?” He was sure that Agnes’s story was the truth and quite frankly he couldn’t be happier. But he was pretty sure that Chase was crying earlier because he thought he couldn’t trust the mansion either.
“It’s nice to make your acquaintance Rebecca. You are one of the few to know where my name is from.” He grinned at that, it was rare that he introduced himself and people didn’t look at him like ~your name is what now?~
“Well, I’d be happy to show you around, as for finding a job, do you know what you might be looking for?” He wasn’t too sure about what place would be hiring that she’d like, but he was fairly well connected that he bet he could find this girl a job through his family if nothing else suited her. He would offer to set her up with a currier job, but that took some serious athletics and knowledge of the city. Hmmm, he wondered briefly which one of them was paler, she had more freckles.
“ So, Rebbeca where do you hail from?” She looked to be at least eighteen, why did he always have trouble with figuring out how old women were? It was against the rules to ask. Or did that just go for older gals? Hmm.
Aedus didn't believe in odds. He didn't believe in ten to two, He simply thought you just had to hit them harder and want it more. It was the tactic of blitzkrieg hit the opposition with such ferocity and keep them off balance until the enemy no longer saw profit in battling. To prove his point He came in fast and hard. No questions were to be asked only a furious yell, He had hoped for surprise but his partner had yelled out some disturbing news. If he didn't work quick then He was leaving Drew to the large group of guys they just passed. His measly pair of opponents was looking a lot better then the six or eight guys drew was going to be facing.
In his free time sometimes Aedus liked to free run, He thought it might make a welcome addition to the fight. he changed his course slightly and made for a bench. He leapt and landed on the bench, he took a step and then the last landed on the back of the bench, from there he threw himself forward at the first of the two thugs. He raised his knees and they collided with the first man's face. If that wasn't a good start, he didn't know what was.
He flopped to a hard landing on the ground and begin to rise just as he was catching a kick to the ribs. But hey the pair of mutants was free to go...please stay, please stay. they ran...well at least they would be safe.
One of the mutants left, one stayed, the male took the groceries and the female was going to assist Drew who by numbers alone seemed to need the help more.
Aedus maneuvered his coffee away from the girl to ensure he didn’t spill it on her or him for that matter. He was happy to find he didn’t spill it on anyone at all. His other hand nonchalantly checked to make sure his wallet was where he left it. “Nah, it’s my fault for standing still.are you ok?” Aedus dismissed the need for apologizing at all. Being bumped into in the city was a normal thing; in fact it was normal enough that he was guessing she wasn’t from around here. If she was she would have more than likely gripped at him for being in the way. Aww, she was blushing, Cute! Man, did those pale cheeks light up!
He smiled his best smile at the young woman. She had a charming look to her and accent he’d need to hear a couple more times to be sure about but she sounded like a Scot to him. “Just a tip, if you apologize, most New Yorkers will decide you have something to be sorry for. Are you heading anywhere in particular, I could help you find it. I’m Aedus by the way.”
Aedus sat in front of the mechanic’s shop, he went to a shady part of town apparently, this was Order territory which meant that he and everyone in the place was probably in more danger than they had any sane reason to be in. but it also meant that he was probably in the side of town that wouldn’t draw cops unless something big was going down. It also meant that he could probably afford to ask questions that he might not ask in a more reputable part of town.
From the back of the red Ducati 848 EvoAedus kept an eye on the lights in the shop and eyeed the sign hours he still had a few minutes to go before they were officially open. He sat and waited for the shop to open, He was out early and even though the bike was a high performance masterpiece he wanted to make sure of two things. If it would show up as hot and two if there was anything he could do to make it even better. Gas mileage, horse power, balance, anything and everything. And according to the guy he talked to about his motorcycle the gentleman that worked this place was one of the best.
Aedus stood on the side walk wondering at what to do, New York was the best city in the world, the fact that he had never been to another city made him a little biased he thought, but then if you are in the best city in the world why leave to find out you are right. Unnecessary time wasting is what that was.
The Irish blooded New Yorker looked around him at all the other pedestrians; they all seemed to be carrying along peacefully no one seemed to need his assistance. No one seemed to need a hero or even help for that matter. He supposed he could have come to a worse part of town if he wanted to find someone who needed help.
He bought a cup of coffee and began to meander down the road in his dark blue jeans, bright orange tee shirt and matching orange running shoes. Today was a fairly pleasant day and he opted for no coat or jacket even though the rest of the world seemed to think that the weather warranted a little bit more fabric wrapped about them. He couldn't decide if his body temperature was higher, if his body felt warmer or if it was all mental, but since he had become a mutant the world around him seemed a toastier place.
Aedus threw his hands in the air and spat out the first phrase he learned in French class. His eyes were open wide in alarm. He didn’t want to be obsidian right now, he didn’t want to burst into lava. He wanted to be shot even less, but if he could avoid both…well that would be nice.
"What the hell? Move outta the way kid you wanna get yourself killed?" "No wait," "You see a blondie boy? You'd talk if you knew what was good for you. Aint smart to be lurking around Nancy's parts. He don't take kindly to trespassing. Be easy on ya if you point us in the direction she went."
Aedus took the shove and stepped back forward. “Parlez-vous français ?” ~~do you speak French?~~ From there his French became much less useful for speaking to thugs anyhow. The confused looks of the gunmen said everything he needed to know. He learned French for one reason only; to say sweet things to girls and know what the heck he was saying…all an all he thought that the French would approve of his priorities concerning their language.
“J'aime votre visage”~~I love your face~” he stated calmly. “Vous et je devrait trouver un endroit calme.”~ You and I should find a quiet place ~ He lowered his hands and looked towards the guns.
In as thick as he could manage French accent he spoke some English. He was channeling Jude and pepe le pew “I understand the word Blondie.”
The pair lowered their weapons from the face of the faux Frenchman.theylooked at each other with a look of indecision. The smaller guy held the hand gun to his face once more and Aedus was going to take advantage of the one lowered weapon, he had to act while at least one was down.
He weaved to the right to get the weapon out of his face and then grabbed with both hands and threw his weight into it and slammed the hand gun into the big man’s face. His nose sprayed a red river from his nostrils. He had succeeded in not only slamming his own weight into the mans face but the other man’s as well. The smaller fellow was off balance and so Aedus riped the hand gun from his hand as he stumbled. Aedus stepped into the large man’s face closing the small distance it would take to tear him to shreds with the double barrel. Aedus wedged the pistol into the man’s Jaw.
“Hand me the shot gun or die.” Aedus spoke gutturally in his normal New York accent. “last chance.” He felt the shotgun press into his hands and he took a step back. He leaned the shot gun back on his shoulder and took a couple steps back.
“Kneel by the wall hands on your heads and I won’t kill you both. If one of you runs inside or shouts or so much as makes me wonder what you are doing I will empty all the ammo you just gave me in to your soon to be bullet ridden corpses. I am going to take my time leaving. And you had better believe I will be watching you too as I do.”
Aedus walked calmly backwards, watching as the men did as he said. He slowly back tracked toward where he last saw the woman go. If she was smart she never stopped running.
Aedus tossed a couple more of the crispy chips in his mouth and spun around on the stool. He laughed as his mate got into the fun, he was going to have to work on his smack talk if he thought compliments to Maggie counted but talking back was a start.
“You boys wouldn’t be taking all the good darts would ya now?” He loved refereeing to them as boys, the old codgers seemed to always get sour at that brand of disrespect. And seeing as he thought they could use some souring so he went for it.
He waited for the Brit to finish up and when they got over there he would inspect the darts they handed over. Hopefully Maggie would get the good darts out for them. He hated the ones they left out because they didn’t have to worry about anyone wanting to swipe them.
And his cousin Ciara had now been further with Noel than he had. To be fair she was trying to help, and she had to actually touch the fabric or moisture to collect it.
Aedus watched with Keen interest at what Rebecca was up to, He wasn’t going to say it but last year she was still waiting on a power. No one had mentioned to him that she had developed her skills. He just realized that Rebecca was his new best friend yeah, she lived in northern part of New York State, but it’d be worth the trip.
He rolled his eyes when He heard his aunt say she chaperoned, and he got a light smack on the back of the head for his trouble.
Aedus watched in awe at Noels hair going Rapunzel out of nowhere. He wondered if that was going to take energy out of Noel, her follicles working over time.
His Aunt didn’t let him say anything because she had read his mind and wasn’t very well going to say what he was thinking at the moment. She just smacked him on the head again.
“I think your hair looks fantastic.” It wasn’t a lie. But his aunt shot him a look anyway.Aedus reached into his pocket and revealed a pack of hair ties. “When I saw uncle Ien. He took care of it. He knows when people are going to need things they don’t have and sometimes he takes care of it for them. Thank you, Rebecca.”
He smiled at Noel as the women hurried off to the pavilion. “are you ok?” He said as he went around to her back And knelt to secure the bottom of the braid with a hair tie, the rest of it was so perfectly braid he doubted any of the rest of it would need it.
“I guess I’ll hang onto the rest of these for now. Ien’s good, he even got the color to match your top.”
A protector huh? A mutant then? Possibly, then again he had just helped him without as much as a super powered punch. “Will do, Sounds like you make a habit out of meeting people at odd moments.” Aedus eyed the group of guys as they came parallel, nothing abnormal here…that was probably for the best those kinds of odds hurt more than an even fight. Though further down the road looked like there might be a scuffle.
Aedus tapped Drew on the arm and nodded toward what was going on. A mugging? A fight, teenage guys just hanging out? he couldn’t tell.
“Shall we?’ Aedus rolled his shoulders losing the muscles and his frame; he rolled his neck in a slow circle. It was always good to stretch before exercise, if you got a chance. As Aedus walked a bit quicker toward the fracas he noted that, The guy up against the wall had his hands covering his face. His obviously mutant lime green hands covering his obviously mutant sky blue face. There was a second mutant on the ground nect to him, she was cowering and covering her groceries.
Aedus broke into a sprint.
He had eyes only for the pair of men picking on the couple…he couldn’t have been aware of how the group of guys they passed had turned around and was walking back to the rest of their gang.
While Panda bear was paying attention to trivial things, like the living and police cars trying to mush the living... She was not paying attention to the dead. It made a certain amount of sense with the fact that the police had almost smashed their friend…the one dressed as a zombie. Did he mention it was a bad day to dress as a zombie.
“Watch our backs? Kitten.” Aedus said nodding in the opposite direction as he took off the other way. Heh, he called her kitten, he’d only called her that in his head thus far. Aedus dashed forward; ducking under Rick’s shotgun barrel as the man turned in the same direction he had brought Kat’s attention. Good, she wouldn’t be the only one watching out in that direction they had a swath of destruction carved out. And between the cop car and the Hobo’s four wheeled armory they had a decent little area where they had cover.
Aedus hefted the Axe upward and closed the gap between himself and the Panda. He bashed the axe handle into a Zombie that was closing on the girl who seemed to be in momentary shock. The Zombie stumbled backwards and with a vicious swing of the Axe, Aedus sent the undead’s head flying. He stepped forward and brought another chop down on a Zombie that was accompanying her…the pair seemed to be a couple they mildewed clothing matched in color and fashion.
That cleared out the last two in the immediate Vicinity but there were still droves of them down the road exiting an alley way about a block down. It would be a good chance to regroup.
"I've heard from him, He is in a safe place right now.He is a smart kid and If he stays there he will remain safe." He said the second more to the boy that didn't seem to get the concept of hiding in plain sight, he would need to teach it to him, it was probably one of the most useful faucets of his power.
"Tell me what the misunderstanding is and why Ms.Taylor is scared for him. If I need to be doing more I want to know it." Aedus was a little bit harsh toward Agnes. "Sorry, I don't mean to snap. I just want whats best for him."
Aedus hoped that the kid kept his cool and Agnes told him what they both needed to know, was she on the parents side, Was Ms.Taylor? What the heck was going on. Aedus turned back into the living room to check on his nervous guest.
"Hey Killian this is my friend Agnes...if you are feeling a bit shy you can head to my room if you like." the real Killian would have been hitting on the young woman in front of him, not hiding behind the couch. but that wasn't the real Killian it was an afraid little boy. Whom he was trying to remind that he was wearing the best camouflage ever.
Ok, So I am brain storming on possible plot paths to go on, there are four different paths that I need to work on. they will be back on Jan 14, I intend on hitting the ground running.
Abyss, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury & Saturn are still full fledged order heads.
That said, I want to put them on a useful path. I like the Orders new more subtle and realistic, lets not all stay on the most wanted list stance on things. However the boys just were made for undercover work.
I am open to entertaining any and all ideas of villainous nature for these five.
If you need a villian in a thread I'd be happy to oblidge, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Venus- Hello amorous dalliance, If you are looking for something steady but not permanent, Venus is a charmer and knows how to have a good time. That said he is slippery when it comes to commitment, but will be more than happy to help make it worth your while. Ladies or Gentlemen, Venus would be more than happy to show you a good time.
If you want to hand wave a date and reference it in a past tense, just let me know.
Pluto an out cast from the Seven, this bad boy has seen the light. He has cut ties with his brethren, at least as much as physically possible. He still loves them, but he can no longer condone their behavior. I am strongly considering having Pluto go to the X-men. He is also going to be severely interested in the happenings of the oracle plot, He was out playing hero the night that the events took place at Iris clinic. his job was security there. he feels all sorts of responsible.
Koga has been training in the mountains with an ancient and wise relative. He is working hard on his already stable ninja repertoire. He is going to return to the states to find a man gathering children and influencing them. He is going to pick up on the fact that the oppose Sebastian. He then is going to go my enemies enemy is my friend and join the worldender.
In conclusion I am up for Ideas for possible threads with any and all of these fine gentlemen.
An ongoing poem of how Aedus has tried and failed.
~Love, how the ways you’ve failed me~ I met a girl with a bow on her head, I got her number, but she wants me dead.
I met a fine Irish lady, a smile so bright, it was lost before I had a chance to fight.
I met a young fox of a girl, but oh so sweet, too bad I’d have to wait a year to sweep her off her feet.
I met a woman, I gave her a kiss, she got some knowledge, but refuses the bliss. I met a girl in a club, punched her boyfriend’s face, she still ended up going to his place.
I got naked for my boss, she tossed me in a cell, but hey, her loss.
The women I kissed, is becoming a friend, once you are there, there is no end.
I carried a woman from a car wreck, she, a southern bell, but hey the girl from the club is shooting my chances to hell.
A girl with glasses, She was reading a book, eyes only for the barista, couldn’t spare me a look.
I’m meeting a woman with powers of light, I’ll help save her and put up a fight.
but look at my track record and you’ll see its going to be another lonely night.
