The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean stood outside of the golden doors to the place called Sanctuary. It had been a couple of days since the attack at his agency, and he was just not feeling up to leaving the house. The bruise on his forehead was still livid, and he was still suffering from some major headaches. Still, he wanted to thank the girl who called herself Aura and also thank whoever was in charge here for the donation that she had delivered. It hadn't taken him too long to find the place, everyone said you couldn't miss the doors. Unfortunately no one really knew too much more, and so Tasean just stood outside for a moment, idly brushing invisible wrinkles from the jean shorts and grey polo he was wearing. He didn't know what to expect, and honestly, from what little of the fight he remember, Aura kinda of scared him.
Finally he got up the courage and knocked on the great doors hard, hoping that someone would hear him, and praying that the wouldn't take offense.

Tasean stood outside of the club swaying to the beats he could hear coming from the inside. He looked over the shoulder of the girl in front of him to see that there were still a good fifteen people between him and the door, but the line was moving rather quickly. This wasn't one of the local gay clubs that Tasean usually went too, but tonight he needed to release. He didn't want to be bothered by a bunch of guys wanting to hook up, or having to dodge guys he had hooked up with and never called back. Tonight he just needed some good music, a lot of drinks and plenty of dance floor. The past few days at the Mutant Social Services Agency had been rather trying, and Tasean could feel himself reaching his boiling point. So today he had shut down shop early, and went to get a pedicure, and then did a little shopping. The Ed Hardy shirt and jean ensemble he had on had been a result of today's excursion. Now he was at this club, now with only six people between him and a night he needed for his mental and emotional health. He began to sway even harder, his head bobbing to the beat of P!nk's F*ing Perfect as he lip synced the words.
As the song faded out into another song Tasean found himself at the door, starring at a bouncer he had seen plenty of times at another club. A bouncer he had seen plenty of times in his bedroom as well.
"Well at least I know the night will end great if this club is a let down" Tasean thought to himself as the bouncer gave him a knowing grin, holding the door open for him not even patting Tasean down.
Tasean smiled back as he walked pass the man, paid his money and got his stamp, this one was a picture of a tipping martini glass. He walked through another set of double doors, and the music of the place hit him like an ocean wave. Nicki Minaj's Super Bass vibrated in his chest as he walked further into the spacious place. Everyone he looked people were either dancing or drinking or both. There were no catty looks, no fights, no men trying to be runway diva's or vogue champions. Just people enjoying the music and doing exactly what Tasean wanted to do, dance the days junk and cares away. Tasean smiled brightly, his eyes shinning as he made his way to the bar to get something very strong before he hit the dance floor.

Tasean attempted to open his eyes, but as soon as he did, a pain shot through his head, and he immediately closed them. He groaned on more time, as he attempted to turn over on his back. He felt a hand arrest his progress and he called out weakly. "Andrew?"
"No this isn't Amdrew. You're friend is ok, though slightly worse for wear." a female voice said. The news reporter was still hovering near him, making sure that he was ok. "You shouldn't move too much until someone can get up here to check on you."
"Ugh...what happened?" Tasean asked. "And where is Andrew" his voice beginning to get apprehensive

Through his mutant ability Tasean was watching all of this happen. If he could've he would have sighed in relief as the mod frantically made a retreat. As he continued to watch, his 'vision' became fuzzy. It was as if his mind was muffled some how, and he wasn't able to clearly interpret the scene through the light and brainwaves.
Then, as his ability began to rapidly fail, a pulsing pain began wracking his mind. Tasean's mind was finally beginning to re-enter his body and the pain from the blow was his usher. With one final snap he was completely in his body again and groaned in pain, unable to move much.

Things were really getting out of hand. The office was in shambles. That girl with the pink weapons had shaken everyone up and now she had disappeared. The guy was fighting hard to protect the other guy who was unconscious. And the female reporter from the news crew was getting all of this. And she was definitely a mutant lover, several times the mob leader had heard the phrase "Unwarranted attack on a defenseless mutant" used.
The mob leader looked around, maybe all this was enough to shut the agency down, and maybe not, but his involvement was over. He grabbed one of the younger boys of the mod by the collar, and threw him back away from the prostrate mutant before he could land a deadly kick.
"Idiot there is a news crew here! Let's get out of here!" he yelled before turning sharply on his heel and rushing out the door, trying to grab for the video camera from the cameraman on his way out but failing.
He rushed down the stairs, barreling past security coming up the stairs. One officer tried to stop him, but when the rest of the mob began running down the stairs the security guards were over run and forced back down.
Back in Tasean's office the new reported walked over to Tasean's body, placing her hands on his neck, checking for a pulse. She turned to her crew and demanded that someone call an ambulance immediately, and stop gawking. She then turned her attentions to Andrew,
"Are you alright?" she asked, genuinely concerned.

The leader of the mob did not know how everything got out of control, but he knew when. The moment that mutant who started this agency hit the floor cold. Then those other two mutants began attacking with a vengeance, and they were both scary in their own right. The girl was scary because of those pink weapons she could make, and she was an adept fighter who showed an obvious disdain for human life. The guy was scary because his emotions were raging, he was definitely taking this personal. But of the two, the mod leader was definitely more willing to fight the guy.
The mob leader began focusing all of his attention on Andrew, trying to subdue him, and possibly use him as a bargaining tool to make Aura stop fighting. He motioned for some of his followers to try and circle around Andrew, which was proving to be much easier said than done.
Then, he again noticed the young black man who was knocked out cold. He was lying very still, but he was definitely not dead. Perhaps he would make an easier target. he definitely couldn't fight back, and using his body as a bargaining chip might end this who fiasco before it resulted in some serious injuries, if not fatalities. All the mob leader wanted was for the mutants to leave the building, not all this. If he ever found who launched that rock, they would pay dearly. His business was just two floors down, and an all out war in the office would definitely effect sales, especially with mutants involved.
The mob leader began to inch his way to Tasean's prostrate body, just in enough time to see the t.v. news rush their way through the door at the stairs, camera's rolling taping the whole scene.
"Crap....." the mob leader said.
This was definitely not what he had intended to happen.

Tasean saw the fight breakout. When the rock hit him, it seemed to jump start Tasean's ability. Tasean saw the rage in Andrew's eyes. He wanted to scream at Andrew to get away. There were just too many people in the mob now. He tried desperately to return to his body, but it was as if there was some kind of wall blocking him. All he could do was ride on waves of light, watching helplessly as the battle wore on.
He tried to scream as he saw some more protesters come up the stairs. He wished there was something, anything that he could do. He continue to try desperately to send his consciousness back into his body to no avail. And still Andrew and Aura continued to fight.

Tasean looked at Aura in confusion. She spoke so nonchalantly about killing these protesters, and called them animals.
"Do I need a check that bad? This super Xena Warrior Princess seems a tad bit...crazy" Tasean thought to himself
"Yes...the atmosphere here has become a little too violent" Tasean replied to Aura. "It would've been nice to sit down over a cup of tea"
Tasean stepped forward, placing himself between Aura and Andrew and the human aggressors. He looked back to the two other mutants, a pleading look on his face. He really didn't want a fight to happen in this office, outside was fine, but up here in the office that he hadn't even finished paying for was out of the question. He really hoped that Aura could contain herself, and that his first mutant friend Andrew wouldn't have to fight. He turned to the human protesters, trying to give a genuine smile, but barely managing. He held his hands out to them like a supplicant as he spoke
"Look people. I don't want any trouble or any issues. I'm not even done paying for this place! I just want to help some people who could really use the help alright. There is no need...." Tasean was immediately cut off by two things.
The first was a human protester who yelled, "SHUT UP MUTANT SCUM AND LEAVE!"
The second was an apple sized rock that whizzed through the air and connected with Tasean's head, just above his right ear, sending him reeling to the ground, unconscious before his head met the tiled floor.

Tasean watched Andrew go in surprise. Tasean was quite ready to protect his office, but he sincerely wished that the people would just go away. The last thing he wanted was to bring the fight to them. He growled in frustration and pushed the desk further from the door and followed Andrew. Tasean definitely wasn't about to let Andrew fight for his office while he sat back and watched.
He approached the growing crowd more slowly than Andrew. Staring at the girl who named herself Aura and her every changing energy made weapons.
"Umm...me, I'm Tasean." he said from behind her when she asked if there were other mutants in the building. "I'm the one who started the Agency" he said.
Even though they were in the middle of what could be come a bloody mess, Tasean really needed that check to help out the Agency. He sincerely hoped this could end peacefully, or if not let the check come out in one piece.

Tasean stood there for a moment, in total shock. He heard Andrew talking to him, but it was like there was some sort of disconnect between his brain and the rest of his body. Those people were coming up to do him harm, simply because he was a mutant. That was just as stupid as attacking someone because they were a different race. Tasean could not believe this was happening to him.
When Andrew pushed the items off of the desk, the noise of their landing on the floor broke Tasean out of his trance. He looked at Andrew, preparing to help and growled in frustration. He loosened his tie, and went over to help his friend push the desk in front of the office door.
"Five..there were five guys" Tasean said belatedly.
Once the door was in place, Tasean picked up the phone, dialing 911. He held the receiver to his ear with his neck as he rolled up the sleeves of his shirt. If it was a fight those idiots wanted, they were definitely going to get everything they asked for. They wouldn't have an easy task of destroying this office.
"Only in New York does 911 ring more than twice!" Tasean snapped, still waiting for someone to pick up on the other end before he heard some kind of commotion outside the office.
He peeked around the door, trying to see what was going on. All he could make out was a girl with a sword and a hammer in her hand....and both were pink. Tasean wanted to see what was going on, but using his ability left him unable to control his body and he didn't want to leave himself defenseless.
"Andrew....who is light saber Sally out there?" Tasean asked, hanging up the phone just as someone on the other end picked up.

Tasean sighed as he stood up and walked back to the window standing beside Andrew.
"You're right Andrew. They are just a bunch of....." his voice trailed off as the commotion on the grounds outside of the building seemed to take a more frenzied element.
"What is going on now..." he said, once again using his mutant ability to get a closer look. His eyes unfocused and took that far away look again as a multitude of colors darted across his irises.
His mind slipped down the light outside of his window down to the first floor. The scene he got this time was much more hectic, and a lot more serious than before. One security guard, the old man lay on the floor, a nasty cut on his forehead. Two others were currently in grappling contest with some of the protesters, while five other protesters slipped past the now failed blockade into the building lobby. Tasean's mind followed them long enough to see them reading the office building directory before his consciousness flew with all speed back up the side of the building, and into Tasean's body. He turned to Andrew a bit of fear, but a lot of anger in his eyes as the focused once again.
"Looks like we may have some company" he said.
Tasean was not a fighter, not professionally nor in demeanor, but he wasn't afraid to fight. He just really didn't want to, especially not in this office. And he definitely did not want Andrew getting hurt either.

Tasean looked at Andrew a small genuine smile creeping across his face. He definitely appreciated the attempt that Andrew made, but he could tell, Andrew was definitely not in a joking mood. Tasean sighed, leaning back on the couch and looking up at the ceiling.
"What am I doing Andrew?" Tasean asked. "I mean honestly, I knew there would be some problems....but this? How am I suppose to compete with that sea of stupidity down there?" he said.
Tasean leaned forward, looking at the window he had come away from just minutes before. "I'm a country boy, in the big city. The only protesters I've ever dealt with are those idiots who show up at the Pride parade, and they are nothing compared to those people downstairs." he said before turning to look Andrew directly in the face. "What the hell am I doing?" [/colo]he asked in all seriousness.

Tasean stared at Andrew for a long moment. The tears he had just wiped away threatening to spill over once again. Tasean already considered Andrew a friend, but now he looked at him a totally different light. Once again he wiped his eyes, this time however a few tears spilled over and ran slowly down Tasean's face before he caught them too.
"......Thanks Andrew" Tasean said a little choked up.
Tasean turned quickly from Andrew, trying to compose himself. He walked to the one couch in the sitting area, and slumped across it, burying his head in the pillow and yelling into it.
After a few minutes of repeating yelling and heavy breathing, Tasean sat up and looked at Andrew.
"So I guess you saw my crowd of screaming fans downstairs huh?" he asked, trying hard to make a joke, trying hard to make himself laugh.

Tasean glared at the phone.
"What...a meteor headed straight for my office now?" He snapped at the ringing telephone.
Tasean seriously thought about just letting the thing ring. He wasn't in the mood to help anyone, and he definitely didn't want to hear about those idiots downstairs. With an exasperated sigh he walked to the desk and picked up the phone.
"Thank you for calling.....what? Who?" he listened as the security guard explained.
"We have a Mr. Andrew downstairs, says he knows you." the security guard said.
"Oh thank God!" Tasean thought to himself, to the security guard he simply said. "Yes please let him up." and hung up the phone.
Tears threatened to spill out of the corners of Tasean's eyes. He expected some opposition to his agency, but this was more than he had bargained for. What Tasean needed most right now was a familiar and friendly face to help keep him sane and get some perspective on the situation. How Andrew knew to show up at that precise moment he had no idea, but he thanked every deity he could think of off hand.
Tasean wiped his eyes as his moved towards the entrance to the office space. He didn't want Andrew running into that nasty brunette from across the hall. If she said anything to Andrew, Tasean wasn't sure he would be able to control himself and not try and seriously hurt that girl.

The loud ringing of the phone knocked Tasean out of his stupor and slow spiral into depression. He cleared his throat before picking up the receiver and placing it next to his ear.
"Thank you for calling Mutant Social Services, this is Tasean Walker, how can I help you" he said, getting settling back into professional mode.
"Mr. Walker. This is Security, we wanted to let you know we have a little situation outside, and we are locking the elevator to your level. Don't worry though sir, we have everything under control" the old security guard from the front desk said before promptly hanging up.
Tasean looked at the phone in confusion before hanging up, wondering what was going on. He was about to call back downstairs before he heard a slight knock at his door. He looked up to see two of the scantily dressed 'maids' from across the hall at his door starring hard at his window.
"Hey. Didn't mean to disturb ya, but there is like some sort of gang or something downstairs, and we can't see from our side of the building" the tall, definitely unnatural flaming red head said, looking at the large window behind Tasean.
Tasean arched an eyebrow at the two women, especially the shorter brunette who looked at Tasean as if she smelled rotten eggs.
"What the...." Tasean said, pushing away from his desk and standing up to look out the window. As if that was their invitation to join him, the two women came to look down out of the window as well. From this floor Tasean could only see a gathering of people, some holding signs, many pointing at the building as security barred them from entering. As they watched, two news vans pulled up a little ways away from the ever increasing crowd.
"What in Gods name is going on down there?" Tasean thought to himself. "Only one way to found out, since I'm stuck up here until the unlock the elevator"
Tasean looked at booth women, but they were too busy trying hard to ascertain what was happening. Tasean looked down as well, just to keep up appearances. Instead of looking with his eyes however he used his abilities to send his consciousness flying down the building on waves of light. If the two women would've looked Tasean at the face, they might have noticed the far away look in his eyes, or the multitude of colors racing across his irises. From the twenty-first floor to the first floor his mind raced until it 'hovered' within the crowd. The brainwave activity alone let Tasean know these people weren't here to pass out the latest edition of The Watchtower. He allowed the light waves to entered into his mind, and a clear 3-D picture formed. These people were angry at something. Tasean couldn't hear a word, but he 'saw' the tension in their faces, the balled fists and mouths open way to far to be simply speaking in normal tones. Many of their signs were hastily made, written in pen or black ink on cardboard and Tasean could not differ the rebounding light waves enough to read the signs but one sign, written in blood red paint on a white poster board Tasean could read perfectly. "NO MUTANTS!"
The shock of reading that sign sent Tasean's consciousness reeling back into his body with an almost physical force.
"ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS!" he exclaimed, catching both women by surprise. They starred at him, the brunette with open hostility before scrambling back away from him and out of the office. At the last possible moment the brown haired woman turned back towards Tasean, her voice dripping with venom.
"How about you leave our building. Soon" she said, turning on her heels and slamming the door to Tasean's office behind her.
Tasean stared after her, and then ran to the door and opened it, yelling at her retreating back. "How about you get a REAL job STREETWALKER!" and then slammed the door again.
"What have I just stepped in?" he asked the ceiling.
