The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean stood outside of the golden doors to the place called Sanctuary. It had been a couple of days since the attack at his agency, and he was just not feeling up to leaving the house. The bruise on his forehead was still livid, and he was still suffering from some major headaches. Still, he wanted to thank the girl who called herself Aura and also thank whoever was in charge here for the donation that she had delivered. It hadn't taken him too long to find the place, everyone said you couldn't miss the doors. Unfortunately no one really knew too much more, and so Tasean just stood outside for a moment, idly brushing invisible wrinkles from the jean shorts and grey polo he was wearing. He didn't know what to expect, and honestly, from what little of the fight he remember, Aura kinda of scared him.
Finally he got up the courage and knocked on the great doors hard, hoping that someone would hear him, and praying that the wouldn't take offense.
Aura had stayed in the building for while before she had made her escape. She had felt bad about ducking out of the fight early, but she had been afraid of incurring Lori's anger. SHe was sure people had mentioned the Mutant with the pink Aura but as long as their was no actual proof she figured she was good. Plus she had not brought home a frustrating powerful mutant on her tail. No after Tasean had gone to the Hospital things had gotten quite.
She had hoped the Mutant founder guy was ok, she could not quite recall his name, so with a shrug of her shoulders she decided Founder would work for the time being. The real thing Aura was proud of was despite the temptation to watch Humans try sky dive thirty stories, she had refrained from killing anyone at all. Aura shook her head as she looked at the doors, waiting to see any new mutants who might be arriving. It was then she heard a knock on the door.
Aura Stood up and walked over to the doors, she let her Aura cover her in a soft pink glow as she went, she thought seeing a mutant answer might help some to feel more comfortable. As Aura opened the Doors, she wa ssuprised to see the Founder guy she had been thinking about. "Hey Founder guy, i was just thinking of ya, Hows the head?" she asked waving for him to come in. She was happy to see he was all right, it meant she had done the job, she had been strong enough.

Tasean looked at Aura with a quizzical expression for a moment. He hadn't met too many mutants to date, and none had a power that was visible. Well Andrew did say when he makes a promise he gets those rings on his arm, but that wasn't the same as Aura's pink....aura.
"Hello Aura" he said before smiling slightly at what she called him. "My name is Tasean, just in case I forgot to mention it in all the mess a few days ago."
The mob attack at the Mutant Social Services Agency had been very scary, but it wouldn't stop Tasean from doing what he felt needed to be done. He had yet to talk to Andrew yet, sure that the guy probably hated him for the whole situation. That was what hurt the most, Andrew had been Tasean's first mutant friend, and first person he really connected with since coming to New York from the south.
Realizing that he was begging to get a little teary eyed, Tasean shook his head and smiled at Aura. "I just wanted to stop by, to thank you for everything you did that day. And also to thank your...company for the donation" Tasean told the aura manipulating girl, unsure of exactly what Sanctuary was.
"I believe you did give your name or Andrew did, but my memory fails me when it comes to names" She admitted. Try as she might she almost always resorted to referring to people by names that described them to Aura usually their powers or situation. A few cases like Meld had managed to stick in her mind quite well. Aura eyes looked past Tasean, she trusted the mutant but still she wnated to make sure Humans were not intending to follow him.
"It is no trouble, i enjoy helping out other Mutants whare i can. I enjoy a good fight as well, though it was very hard to restrain myself when the Humans struck you. Despite my reputation i like helping others." She said honestly. Still she decided to refrain from openly saying the hard part to the fight had been not killing anyone. "Becides you got hurt despite my presence, i figured the humans would react poorly to your idwa, we can only hope they will give up" She said wishing she had found a name to any of the people she had fought.
"Come on in, Sanctuary welcomes all mutants you may just find many us, interested in your ideas. I DO not know what you have heard of our home, but we are a Mutant shelter. We take in any mutant who wishes to live here and since their are no Humans, we can live in comfort with our own" she said her voice displayed her pride in the the place. "The Donation was from Sanctuary, i can contact our CEO if you like about that. They sent me because we figured the humans would pull something and they wanted someone use to combat and Immune to normal mob attacks" she said with a giggle at the end.

Tasean followed Aura's directions and took a few steps into the place. "Well if you want I guess you can call me Founder, it just sounds so...formal and I am anything but formal" he said grinning.
He looked around the foyer, smiling at Aura's explanation of what Sanctuary was and what they did. Before the attack on his agency Tasean wouldn't have thought there would be a need for a place like this. Now, however, he was slowly beginning to see the reality of the situation, and he could definitely feel that there was a need for the Sanctuary.
"I would definitely like to speak with your CEO if he or she is available" Tasean said. If his Agency was going to be successful he would really need to cultivate working relationships with with places like this, not only for monetary donations, but for help in general. Tasean was very much aware now that he wouldn't be able to do this on his own.
"it's fine Tasean, i am no good at the formal stuff either. " She said with a smile back to him. "I can see what i can do on Getting you her" She said to him and then walked over to the desk with the Tag Lisa on it "This guys runs a mutant social service thing" she said though it was evident in her voice she really had no idea what that was. "He wants to meet the boss lady" she continued and Lisa seemed to understand use to the teenagers nuances.
"I once again wish to apologize for leaving the fight early. It is best however the Humans do not know i was thare, i would not want my reputation soiling your cause." she said almost casually. Aura was not ashamed of her past but she was smart enough to realize the poor reputation she had among the local police. "To be honest im not quite sure what it is you do" she said with a shrug. "I just know it a foundation our people need to move forward and to establish ourselfs" she said leaving out the part about killing humans. She had no idea how the guy felt on them.
"So, i never got to ask what your power is" She said and as she did she took a step back and her Aura thickened and she began to form Angles in the Aura. Aura then smiled and formed a drill around her right hand which soon after began to spin. The Drill then began to loose it's shape and melted back into the rest of the Aura around her Body. "I Love hearing and seeing new powers, our people all have such unique gifts" she said as her Aura faded back to a thin strip.

Tasean grinned slightly at Aura. "Well my vision for the agency is to help mutant kind out. Like a normal social services agency put specifically for mutants. Helping them to find good housing, jobs, get educations, make sure they have money for food and other necessities. Even help those who may have drug addictions, or are suicidal. Anything they need to help make life just a little bit easier, thats what I want to do" he said, a bright fire burning in his eyes. Tasean truly believed in his cause, and now really knew the necessity of it.
As Aura demonstrated her power, Tasean looked on with wonder. "Well mine is something so awesome, and it isn't really something you can see. I've never really tested it's limits, I really don't too often use it. As far as I can tell, I can make my mind expand through light. Like I can be standing here but I can see something far away, by letting my mind ride the light waves. But It's not like looking through a pair of binoculars, as as if I'm right there" he said, trying hard to explain. "Like I could tell you everything that is going on in this place, as long as there is enough light and no closed doors."
Tasean's ability definitely wasn't any flashy show of power, but he liked it, it was apart of him. And he was beginning to think, maybe he should start using it more often. Who knew what he could do if he just practiced.
They made electrical vehicles now. That was both better and worse. Lori's screwdriver slipped when the last bolt came loose and the battery slipped in its carriage. Mars had convinced her that modifying a motorcycle would help her feel more independent. Lori was pretty sure she would just fry the thing. The battery, she chucked as far across the garage as she could. It flew further than she would have guessed.
//Ms. Faust.
The intercom crackled just after the battery crashed into the cement floor, somewhat spoiling the plastic clatter.
//Guest of Aura here to see you. The Mutant Social Services guy who got mobbed?
The Order Leader sighed and found a rag to help her wash her hands. A quick stop at a socket and she would be ready to face their visitor.
"Ohhhhh. Is it show and tell time?" Lori the petite blonde Leader of the Order, rounded the corner at the tail end of someone's power explanation. She stood no more than 5'2" in her tennis shoes, short shorts and tank top. Frickin' summer was here and that meant high pony tails and her whole appearance was a vague throwback to her cheerleading days. She smelled vaguely of motor oil.
This was not the first impression she preferred.
Lori offered her hand to the man without blinking. Touching others gave her a distinct advantage if she wanted to use her power. "Lori Faust. You wanted to see me?"
"I see, it sounds like you could do quite a bit with that, their are certainly many mutants who need help around here. Heck when i came back to this place i ended up getting tossed out of the Apartment i rented. Had i not been caught stealing i likely would not have found this place for awhile. " SHe said for the first time or at least in as long as she could recall she thought about how things might have changed had frosty not found her out.
Aura was about to comment on Tasean's powers but Lori chose that moment to arrive. She stood with pride as the man complimented her work. She still felt bad he had gotten hurt, but the real thing was he was safe and alive. "No one died either" Aura said though she had wanted to. Aura's hoped the man would inspire other mutants to rise up and establish more such agencys.
Aura hoped she forged a good working bond with Tasean and Lori. Mutants needed the kind of Life, Tasean's work seemed to provide. That would never be hers, a life of quite normalcy. Still if not her then someone else would have to fight, it was what she was good at. Aura also decided to keep a few comments on the Humans in her head. Aura had no idea the amount that was even on the check or what it took to feed a baby. She looked around and was grateful for what she had been given.

Tasean looked at this girl who reminded him way to much of a particular girl back in high school. At first Tasean was going to laugh and call Aura on her joke, but there was something in the lady's demeanor that told him that this was no joke.
"Maybe her power is eternal youth or something" [/i]Tasean thought to himself as he took the offered hand in a firm grip and shook.
"Yes, my name is Tasean Walker, I started the Mutant Social Services Agency that you donated to" he told her, looking her up and down, wondering how someone so young became the head of something like Sanctuary. "I just wanted to stop by, to thank Aura for all her help that day. If she hadn't have been there, I might have more than this little bruise" he told Lori, indicating the quite large and still painful bruise on his forehead. "And also, to thank you for your donation as well. As soon as I can get back in my office, that money is going to help a young mutant girl with a baby that I know really needs some help." Sometimes philanthropist liked to know where the money was going too.
"I am glad to meet you, Tasean. We don't always get to hear the stories of the kids who pass through here. The best we can offer is a safe haven for however long they decide to stay. I'm glad there is someone we can send them to to help them get back in control of their lives." For all her youthful appearance, Lori's handshake was firm and her words more than made up for her ponytail.
"I hope we can foster a mutually beneficial relationship." Lori was no philanthropist. She was a business woman whose business just happened to help people.
"I can give you the number of a good healer too, if you're tired of that bump. Lisa?" Lori stepped over to the secretary's desk and collected a business card that Lori then turned over to Tasean. "Sebastian at the Iris Clinic used to be our resident healer until his pretty little wife stole him away and convinced him to open his own clinic." Lori smiled and somehow it didn't seem at all friendly.
"Aura?" Blue eyes flicked over to the girl with the pink power overlay. "Did you show our guest around yet?"
Probably not since they were all still standing in the foyer.
Aura filled with Pride at Tasean's words, true he had been wounded but he was alive and that certainly put him ahead on many she had known. "Well let's just hope the Humans don't pull anything further" She said hoping they would leave him alone but she figured their would be more trouble. Humans tended to linger on these things when left alive and she did not want to see his organization in danger. The guy did not seem like much in a dance if the fight had been a fair indicator.
Aura had no idea of the Business details of things and was relieved when this did not fall into it. "Yes it was sad to see such a mutant leave" she said genuinely The healers power was awsome and she recalled many times visiting the medicle wing and seeing him, though she still made frequent visits, the Unicorn man rarely seemed to visit if he did at all.
"N-no Ma'am, he had only just arrived, and i had planned to" She said honestly. The sudden Attention on her and given her a slight start. More so because her thoughts had waiverd away for a moment. "Provided your schedule allows such a thing" She said to Tesean, wanting to make sure he had the time, though it had sounded like he did. "Sanctuary has living quarters, a training room, a kitchen with staff,a library and of course a medical area as well" She explained, she had played the role of guide many times now. She let her Aura fade untill it was gone entirely.

Tasean took the offered business card and slid it into his pocket. "Thank you" he said sincerely He would definitely be making a call once he got home, if this guy could get rid of this unsightly knot on his forehead. Tasean was definitely not one for the rough and rugged look.
He nodded in acquiescence when Aura asked him about having the time for a tour. "I would love to have a walk around your place" he told them both. He had toured the Mansion, why not take a tour of this place too. And if he could talk to Lori while doing it, well so much the better. She seemed open to working more with the Agency, and heaven knew Tasean needed all the help he could get.
Lori wished she were back in the garage, but a tour would do just fine. This way she could see how friendly Tasean might be toward their cause. If he would not become a useful soldier like Aura, at least he would be a good resource and a tax write off.
The blonde checked the clock on the wall. "If we end with the kitchen, we can all have dinner there and you might be able to meet some of the people we help." Lori smiled. Her heart wasn't in it, but she was trying.
"Shall we?" Lori motioned for Aura to lead and to explain. So what if she wanted to walk next to the handsome man? No harm there. The work out room would be their natural first stop.
Aura nodded and she cought Lori's motion to proceed. Aura lead them down the hall until they reached the work out room. The gym was a place largely unused by Aura herself but she knew many who liked it. The Gym had various work out machines as well as a large amount of free space in it. It was a fairly large room. "This is our gym and work out room which is open all the time. Their are even more specialized equipment for those mutants whose gifts will not allow them to use the normal equipment" she said. She had met a few such mutants whose forms had changed them greatly.
Aura also waived to the pool in the room. "The pool is heated and kept clean as well" she said not sure what else to say about the room and so she waited untill Lori as tasean were ready to move on to their next destination. "Next up the Library" she said trying to sound cheerful but to be honest she never liked librarys much.
